G20: China looking for economic dominance and the world controlling ‘buying and selling’

The G20 meeting in China wants more rules on international investments and financial manipulation of markets:

HANGZHOU, China—Leaders from the Group of 20 major economies doubled-down on prescriptions to revive world economic performance before slowing trade, investment and other knocks to globalization further weigh on activity.

Chinese President Xi Jinping, speaking to reporters at the close of the G-20 summit Monday, said that world leaders reached “broad consensus” that structural reforms must be undertaken to prop up growth at a time of weak global recovery. Mr. Xi said the group agreed that “a pure reliance on monetary and fiscal policies no longer works.”

His words echoed a cautionary communiqué that, in a draft, called growth “weaker than desirable” and warned “downside risks remain.” The document said leaders of the biggest economies would continue to explore ways to safely withdraw supports like low interest rates that catalyzed a rebound starting in 2008.

In a bid to revive international trade and investment, Mr. Xi said, the G-20 is putting in place guidelines on global investment. Calling the two-day G-20 summit “fruitful,” Mr. Xi also urged the group to focus more on bolstering longer-term global growth as it continues to seek ways to keep financial risks at bay.

Guidelines on international investing sounds a lot like another step towards controlling buying and selling. The Bible prophesies even more controls:

16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666. (Revelation 13:16-18)

Now let’s notice something about this G20 conference and China:

This weekend’s G20 is a demonstration that the one party state decides on a goal, it can call the country to attention and command its people to get behind it.

The G20 really matters to China. Since the first such summit in Washington in late 2008, these occasions have mostly been forgettable.

But that year was a watershed for the Chinese leadership.

With the global financial crisis, Beijing stopped believing there was something immutable and dependable about the way the western powers had wired the global economy.

As others floundered, China began its lightning move up the GDP hierarchy to second place, and simultaneously launched a campaign to move from outsider to central player in global economic governance.

Despite the slower growth of recent months, Chinese purpose has not wavered.

In fact, events since have only strengthened the conviction that economic power is moving east, and that this, if not the Asian century, is at least China’s century. …

Certainly China has been a great beneficiary of globalisation and the commitment of others to free trade.

It would have much to lose if the rest of the world started closing its markets.

But both the German ambassador to China and the European Union Chamber of Commerce complained only this week that their companies face an unlevel playing field in China and that some feel ever less welcome. …

A dramatically freer Chinese economy with fair access to key sectors for private enterprise and foreigners would enormously enhance China’s credibility as a leader on global governance.

It stands to reason that if you play by fair rules, you have got a better chance of being invited to set them.

But it will not happen or will not happen fast because of perceived political risk.

A freer economy would get in the way of the Party’s number one objective, political control. …

China, despite its ambitions, will not dominate economically like it wants to.

The Bible prophesies that an economically-powerful Europe, not China, will arise (cf. Revelation chapters 13 and 18). This does not mean that China will not have any influence–only that it will NOT be the dominant economic power that it wants to be. But China is likely to be one of the nations to become wealthier by trading with the end time European power connected with Mystery Babylon the Great (Revelation 17:1-5), until it falls (Revelation 18:1-3).

Many world leaders believe that it will be international human cooperation that will bring a better world, peace, and prosperity. They do not believe it will take the Kingdom of God to make that happen. They do not realize that what they are working on is prophesied to succeed for a time, then fail.

The Bible shows that world leaders will fight against the millennial kingdom of God message as it is not consistent with their agendas (e.g. Daniel 11:29-35). Many will even fight against Jesus when He returns, but will misidentify Him (see Do Certain Catholic Prophecies About Antichrist Warn Against Jesus?) and will lose (Revelation 19:11-21).

But that is not how they see it.

With the G20 this year, the globalists have another major victory in their move towards a one-world human-led government. Expect other globalist victories, with also some difficulties, over the next several years. But the type of human-government they are pushing for, and will get, will be destroyed and replaced after the return of Jesus (Revelation 11:5; 19:11-21).
