The Earth is “ablaze” and humanity faces a number of big issues that can only be faced by countries working together, German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said in his speech before the UN on Wednesday.
“Anyone who loves their country, ladies and gentlemen, will be committed to cooperation, because only by working together we will all have a future,” Maas said.
“Cooperation is not a betrayal of one’s own country,” he added, indirectly criticizing US President Donald Trump’s statement earlier in the week that “the future does not belong to globalists,” but “patriots.” …
“Never again going at it alone — that is a lesson from our history — German history — precisely because it was Germany that 80 years ago unleashed fire and destruction in Europe and the world.”
Maas also referred to climate change as “the question of humanity’s survival.” …
First meeting of ‘Alliance for Multilateralism’
Last year, Maas and his French counterpart launched an “Alliance for Multilateralism,” a loose group of countries working to boost international cooperation, reform international institutions, and tackle various global issues such as disarmament, digitalization and climate change.
Addressing the UN on Wednesday, Maas announced he would be welcoming his fellow foreign ministers from some 50 countries who have since joined the alliance for their first official meeting.
“That is multilateralism in practice,” he added.

President Trump’s third address to the United Nations General Assembly was an unmistakably nationalist one, with the president reiterating the theme of his foreign policy doctrine, that all nations should be looking inward and considering their own interests first.
In a sober, scripted speech Tuesday, he focused more on criticizing other nations that he believes treat the U.S. unfairly than on uniting nations around principles of democracy and humanity.
The president hit on each of his favorite themes — unfair trade, imbalanced defense spending, illegal immigration, and socialism — reading from the teleprompter in a somewhat subdued manner.

In many ways, Donald Trump’s views are in conflict with what Heiko Maas, and many others want for Europe and the rest of the world. The Alliance for Multilateralism is a step towards a new world order.

Germany has formally announced its draconian push towards censorship of social media. On March 14, Germany’s Justice Minister Heiko Maas announced the plan to formalize into law the “code of conduct”, which Germany pressed upon Facebook, Twitter and YouTube in late 2015, and which included a pledge to delete “hate speech” from their websites within 24 hours.
“This [draft law] sets out binding standards for the way operators of social networks deal with complaints and obliges them to delete criminal content,” Justice Minister Heiko Maas said in a statement announcing the planned legislation.
“Criminal” content? Statements that are deemed illegal under German law are now being conflated with statements that are merely deemed, subjectively and on the basis of entirely random complaints from social media users — who are free to abuse the code of conduct to their heart’s content — to be “hate speech”. “Hate speech” has included critiques of Chancellor Angela Merkel’s migration policies. To be in disagreement with the government’s policies is now potentially “criminal”. Social media companies, such as Facebook, are supposed to be the German government’s informers and enforcers — qualified by whom and in what way? — working at the speed of light to comply with the 24-hour rule. Rule of law, clearly, as in North Korea, Iran, Russia or any banana-republic, has no place in this system. …
It is only a small step from imposing censorship on social media companies to asking the same of email providers, or ordering postal authorities to screen letters, magazines and brochures in the event that citizens spread supposed “xenophobia” and “fake news”. There is ample precedent for such a course of action on the continent: During the Cold War, people living behind the Iron Curtain had their private letters opened by the communist authorities; those passages deemed to be out of line with the communist orthodoxy, were simply blacked out.

A European payment system set up to circumvent US sanctions on Iran will be ready soon, according to German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas.
This is yet another move in a global effort to minimize dependence on the US dollar.
According to an Al Jazeera report, Maas recently met with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in Tehran in an effort to salvage the nuclear arms deal negotiated in 2015. Pres. Trump withdrew the US from the agreement last year.
The new payment system called INSTEX (Instrument in Support of Trade Exchanges) will allow France, Britain and Germany, along with other EU nations, to continue trade with Iran outside of the dollar-based SWIFT payment system. When EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini announced the plan, she said the new payment channel would allow companies to preserve oil and other business deals with Iran despite US sanctions. …
Weaponizing the Dollar
The United States has taken advantage of the fact that the dollar serves as the world reserve currency by using it as leverage to achieve its foreign policy goals.
In effect, the US has weaponized the dollar.

Donald Trump’s sanctions’ policies have motivated Europe to develop a work-around. Europe is intending to push away US dollar dominance.
Let’s summarize ten of Heiko Maas’ statements and actions:
- He spoke at the United Nations and contradicted US President Trump’s nationalist agenda
- He pushed for acceptance of the climate change agenda that the USA was not part of
- He spoke at the United Nations and laid out a vision for a multilateral new world order
- He is having his first official meeting for the Alliance for Multilateralism at the United Nations
- He wants Europe to have a military independent of the USA
- He recognizes that Germany alone is too small for international might, so he wants a more nations united with it
- He wants to “Europe United”
- He has backed draconian European internet censorship
- He pushed for, and got, a system to bypass the US dollar, which one day may help dethrone it
- He is using Donald Trump’s statements and actions to push for a world order no longer dominated by the USA
It should be clear that people like Heiko Maas are pushing Europe to lead an new world order.
Leaders, such as US President Donald Trump, are giving them a foil to contrast themselves to.
As Donald Trump offends more, various ones in Europe are taking the opportunity to push the globalist agenda forward.
Europeans want more global influence.

The “Great Sea” that bordered the ancient lands of Israel (Numbers 34:6-7; Joshua 1:4; 9:1; 23:4; Ezekiel 47:13-16) is the Mediterranean Sea–and that is the sea that Daniel was referring to. Hence this is clearly a European power.

This is a warring power that will force unity.
11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. 12 And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. 13 He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. 14 And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. 15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Forced unity with totalitarian, including financial, control.
That is what the New World Order will be like.

A new world order will not This end well for the USA (see also Daniel 11:39) or its British-descended allies (see also Daniel 8:24-25; Isaiah 17:3). Nor ultimately Europe (cf. Daniel 11:44-45; Isaiah 10:12-19).
