Saudi Arabia does not intend to sit by and idly wait if Iran gets nuclear weapons:

Riyadh will build nuclear weapons if Iran gets them, Saudi prince warns
Prospect of a nuclear conflict in the Middle East is raised by senior diplomat and member of the Saudi ruling family

At this time, Pakistan is the only Islamic nation that clearly has nuclear weapons. It has been reported that Pakistan may have made some type of clandestine deal with Saudi Arabia a while ago concerning nuclear weapons (see Pakistan’s Nuclear Weapons, Saudi Arabia, and the King of the South and More on Saudi Nuclear Ambitions).

Since it appears that the final King of the South will be an Islamic power, it would seem reasonable that Pakistan may somehow cooperate with and/or support it for a while at least. It would seem that the King of the South would have at least some nuclear weapons at his disposal if he is willing to pick a fight with the final King of the North as Bible prophecy shows will happen (Daniel 11:40).

The fact that Saudi Arabia is willing to indicate that it will get nuclear weapons if Iran does (as opposed to continue to rely on the USA’s nuclear umbrella) shows that the world situation is really starting to change.
