CGOM’s 2012 & Arab Spring ‘Prophetic Caution’; COGwriter’s ‘Prophetic Certainty’

Prophetic Caution
The current economic crisis that affects so many of us coupled with ‘the Arab Spring’, world over-population, acute shortages of food and water and rampant disease have generated a rash of articles on Bible prophecy. Much focus is on December 2012—a date disputed by others. What should you make of it?

One certainty of Bible prophecy that is writ large in Scripture, however, is that ‘the age of man’ is about to close. Humanity is ‘lord of misrule’ of our planet since records began, but that misrule ends soon. The Messiah, Jesus, will return to establish the rule of the Kingdom of God.

Of course, CGOM is correct that the ‘age of man’ is about to close. And that Jesus will return to establish the Kingdom of God.

But on the matters of 2012 and the Arab Spring, I would like to state that there is prophetic certainty on both of those points.

The Bible is absolutely clear that the world cannot end on December 21, 2012. The Great Tribulation itself cannot start before 2015 and I really do not believe that it is at all likely to start prior to 2016.

As far as the Arab Spring goes, we can be certain that biblical prophecy will be fulfilled and that what has happened throughout the Arab nations in the past year are setting the stage for the rise of the final King of the South (Daniel 11:40).

Of course, there is much more that is certain about 2012, the King of the South, and many other prophetic events. Those who have not done so, may wish to read my book 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect as world events have already aligned with at least 17 Bible-based predictions that the book contains.

As we appear to be in the time that Jesus referred to as “the beginning of sorrows” (Matthew 24:5-8), this is a good time to pay attention to the “sure word of prophecy” (2 Peter 1:19, KJV), that my book 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect attempts to convey and lay out in a manner that many have said that they have been able to benefit from.
