COGWA Wants COGWA URLs
Internet Users Worldwide
COGWA (Church of God, a Worldwide Association) reported the following:
Domain name announcement. In doing a recent search on various domain names options, we learned that several versions of our COGWA name have been reserved. We appreciate the thoughtfulness of those who reserved domains for us. However, we would like to have access to those, so if you reserved one of the domains using the COGWA name, please contact us…
Before the Board took over the old Global Church of God, GCG made a similar request. Actually, it did more than that, it requested that members who had the initials GCG in any part of the URL shutdown and pick a different URL. Part of the reason I know that is that Larry Salyer (who was part of the group that took over GCG, then essentially bankrupted it, then helped form CGF, then left and merged his followers in with UCG, then left UCG and was part of COGAmerica, then left and became part of COGWA) called me personally when my site used to be called GCGArroyo and that is what led me to look for another name, which ended up being COGwriter.
Anyway, I am not trying to imply that COGWA is about to split or have some other takeover, it is just that the announcement reminded me of what happen in GCG (some information about the results of the takeover is at News of Those Once Affiliated with GCG).
COGWA was formed out of a split from the United Church of God (UCG) in 2010 (the overwhelming majority of the Latin American ministers and slightly more than 1/2 of the paid US ministry in UCG went with COGWA). COGWA has similar doctrine and governance to UCG.

Should the Church Still Try to Place its Top Priority on Proclaiming the Gospel or Did Herbert W. Armstrong Change that Priority for the Work? Some say the Church should mainly feed the flock now as that is what Herbert W. Armstrong reportedly said. Is that what he said? Is that what the Bible says? What did Paul and Herbert W. Armstrong expect from evangelists?
The Laodicean Church Era has been predominant circa 1986 A.D. to present. These are non-Philadelphians who mainly descended from the old WCG.
