2012: EU’s LHC, Iran’s Nuclear Capability, and Food
The CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC) continues to have major success as New Scientist reported:
The LHC is currently running at 7 trillion electronvolts (TeV), or half its design energy. It was supposed to shut down for a year at the end of 2011 to allow workers to thoroughly test and repair its superconducting magnets so they could handle the extreme current needed to steer a beam of protons at even higher energies.
But the LHC’s beam intensity ramped up smoothly through 2010, and physicists reckon that the LHC could net 40 to 60 times as much data in 2011 as in the year before.
Running through 2012 would double that amount again – bringing the total to roughly half that generated by the LHC’s older rival, the Tevatron at Fermilab in Batavia, Illinois.
“Everything is running so well,” says Guido Tonelli, spokesperson of the Compact Muon Solenoid experiment. “Why should we wait?”…

The CERN project continues to rapidly advance.

My book also discusses the destruction of the USA and certain others by the Europeans sometime after 2012. For those of you who have not read it, although the focus of the book is what will happen after 2012, world events have already aligned with 14 predictions in the book. The Large Hadron Collider is discussed as one of the items that may provide the Europeans with the ability to overcome the USA’s military might.And while many think that this would be impossible, as the Europeans continue to uncover “impossible” aspects of physics, it is getting more and more technology that could be developed in that direction.
The understanding of the Living Church of God that the Europeans will be able to attack and takeover the United States and its Anglo-descended allies (cf. Isaiah 10:5-11; Daniel 11:39) is correct and will come to pass. And it appears possible that the successes of the CERN LHC may assist in the fulfillment of those prophecies.
In the meantime, the Middle East is heating up. Even Jordan is involved:

The amount of political turmoil that has happened with relatively mild food price increases will escalate in other parts of the world as food prices increases even further:
Grains for the world
Another year of high grain prices could exacerbate the problem of food price inflation.
Surging food prices have taken center stage with policy makers, especially in commodities-dependent nations like China and India — home to one-third of the world’s population. Both countries have raised interest rates in a bid to rein in inflation…
For North African countries like Algeria, the rush to import grains, particularly in the past two weeks, has been fueled by concerns about how to reduce populist anger over rising food costs that has led to riots.
With the stepped-up demand from North Africa and the Middle East whittling away at global wheat stocks, there is no room for error with the winter wheat crop in the United States that was planted last fall and will be harvested in the summer. the same goes for the wheat crops in China — the world’s largest grower.
“We are not in a good situation going into February and March in China and in the U.S., so wheat is on the verge of a real scare,” Roggensack said. (An era of cheap food may be drawing to a close. Civil unrest and riots ultimately are expected to hit even major food producing nations such as the United States. The problems will not be limited to Africa or the Middle East. Some of the food issues are also discussed in my book 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect.
And although many are now rightly looking at what is going on in Egypt, Iran is still a factor in the Near East. Notice the following:

Now let me be clear that Iran is not going to be the King of the South, but in a relatively short period of time (perhaps even in 2011 or 2012) it will likely do something to trigger some type of military conflict (and/or have internal uprisings) that it render it more of a side-line, as opposed to main, player in the coming King of the South. Many forget that Pakistan is the major Islamic nuclear power, it is believed to have some type of nuclear arrangement with Saudi Arabia (see Pakistan’s Nuclear Weapons, Saudi Arabia, and the King of the South), and a report yesterday in the Washington Post reported that it has now more nuclear weapons than India (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2011/01/30/AR2011013004136_pf.html).
World events are moving forward and many simply either do not watch or do not understand what is happening.
