Bilderberg, TTIP, TISA, cashless society, and ‘shadow government’

Caught the latest telecast from the Protestant prophecy watcher Hal Lindsey last evening. While I believe that he is wrong about his pre-tribulation rapture and the identity of the final King of the North and other prophetic and theological matters, he is one who realizes that the USA is in decline, that it will not be one of the final end-time powers as it is not mentioned as existing past a certain point in scripture (see also Who is the King of the West?). He also realizes that many around the world are trying to implement some type of world governance consistent with end time Bible prophecy.

Anyway, he mentioned the Bilderberg conference that was held in that town in Austria earlier this month. He also stated that it was within a relatively few miles of the G-7 meeting which was being held around the same time. Hal Lindsey stated that the attendees in Bilderberg discussed the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), the Trade in Services Agreement (TISA), and moving towards a cashless society. He then warned against both of those. He also stated that some consider that the Bilderberg group is a type of shadow government. Shadow because of the secrecy and lack of press coverage of most of the discussion, and government because policies that they seem to agree on get adopted by various organizations and governments around the world.

Bilderberg has long been the subject of conspiracy theories (see Bilderberg Conference: Is ‘one-world government’ the goal?), but that does not mean that the leaders who attend (by invitation only) do not have influence upon the world.

As far as TTIP goes, I have warned about aspects of it for the past couple of years (see WTO/TTIP and the Babylonian Beast). Hal Lindsey indicated that it may result in a loss of sovereignty for the USA, and that is always possible with these modern massive trade agreements. In my view, the end result of TTIP, TISA, and/or similar agreements involving the USA and Europe is that the USA will upset the Europeans on trade issues which will be used as partial justification of an actual military invasion of the USA by a European-led force.

The fact that these ‘trade’ deals are being pushed right now, means that the people who are in power have concluded that, already, ‘the free world’ is so dictatorial, that the chances that their plan can now be imposed globally are about as good as is likely ever to be the case again. TISA also involves banking and other financial services. Basically, governments want more control over everything. A ‘cashless society’ is one way many believe that world leaders can better gain that control.

One of the main topics at the Bilderberg Group meeting held last week in Telfs-Buchen, Austria was the idea of promoting a cashless society. …

How times are rapidly changing. In 2013, CNBC published an interesting commentary by Scott A. Shay, Chairman of Signature Bank titled ‘Cashless society: A huge threat to our freedom’ and said the following:

There are certainly positive outcomes that can be obtained by going cashless. For example, banning sale transactions of cigarettes or sugary drinks or stopping cardholders from overeating, gambling, or whatever other vice is targeted, could lead to a decrease in these vices and their associated problems. A decrease in those problems could positively impact other areas, like, for example, our nation’s health-care system. A cashless society would probably also mean less street crime. Yet in return for these benefits, there is an incalculable cost to our humanity. We would lose our freedom to make decisions. It is easy to imagine a totalitarian regime using these tools to great harm. Given current U.S. government policies, it is also very easy to imagine even a liberal government such as our own, being sorely tempted to use the confluence of these technologies. And once used, because they are so very, very powerful, even liberal governments will be enticed into using them until there is pretty complete monitoring and control of every transaction

Why bring up concerns about a cashless society?

Well, because the Bible tells of a coming time of international cooperation and a highly monitored economy that is consistent with a cashless society:

1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. 2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”

5 And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. 6 Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. 7 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. 8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. 11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. 12 And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. 13 He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. 14 And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. 15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666. (Revelation 13:11-18)

A type of world government, that will come out of war, will temporarily (42 months according to Revelation 13:5) have a lot of power and influence. It will try to have various economic plans, but according to the Bible, it will not be good nor end well (Revelation 18). But it is prophesied to be able to control buying and selling. If physical cash is eliminated, this will be easier.

The moves towards a cashless society, along with massive international trade agreements, will make it easier for 666 to control buying and selling. That is not a conspiracy, but is a fact.
