General Atomics to ship world’s most powerful magnet to ITER global fusion energy project

After a decade of design and fabrication, General Atomics is ready to ship the first module of the Central Solenoid, the world’s most powerful magnet. It will become a central component of ITER, a machine that replicates the fusion power of the Sun. ITER is being built in southern France by 35 partner countries.
ITER’s mission is to prove energy from hydrogen fusion can be created and controlled on earth. Fusion energy is carbon-free, safe and economic. The materials to power society with hydrogen fusion for millions of years are readily abundant.
Despite the challenges of Covid-19, ITER is almost 75 percent built. For the past 15 months, massive first-of-a-kind components have begun to arrive in France from three continents. When assembled together, they will make up the ITER Tokamak, a “sun on earth” to demonstrate fusion at industrial scale. …
It is sometimes called the “beating heart” of the ITER machine.
How powerful is the Central Solenoid? Its magnetic force is strong enough to lift an aircraft carrier 2 meters (6 feet) into the air. At its core, it will reach a magnetic field strength of 13 Tesla, about 280,000 times stronger than the earth’s magnetic field. The support structures for the Central Solenoid will have to withstand forces equal to twice the thrust of a space shuttle lift-off. …

The project was originally named International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor, but it has been renamed to “Iter”, a Latin word meaning “the way” or “the path”. But normally it is capitalized to ITER.
While the USA is involved in this project, the ITER project is headquartered in Saint-Paul-les-Durance, France.
That means Europe will gain any practical benefits first and it would take years for the USA to potentially benefit–years that the USA will likely not have (see Might the U.S.A. Be Gone by 2028?).
A few years ago, Germany shocked the world by successfully testing its experimental nuclear fusion reactor:

A little over a year ago, Germany turned on the world’s largest nuclear fusion reactor and faced sharp speculation over whether the machine could function as intended. Now, tests conducted by US and German researchers confirm that the experimental Wendelstein 7-X (W7-X) stellarator is indeed producing magnetic fields that make controlled nuclear reactions possible, and with a high degree of accuracy and incredibly low error rate. With these test results, new confidence and hope are spreading through the renewable energy industry, as nuclear fusion could be the key to ending fossil fuel dependence worldwide. …
The research team found that W7-X is generating magnetic fields just the way its design intended: strong, twisted, and 3D. “To our knowledge, this is an unprecedented accuracy, both in terms of the as-built engineering of a fusion device, as well as in the measurement of magnetic topology,” the researchers wrote in a report. Combined with an error rate less than one in 100,000, the tests conclude the W7-X stellarator has made history. A fusion reactor capable of producing limitless clean energy is up and running in Germany.
The Wendelstein W7-X fusion energy device known as a stellarator produced its first batch of hydrogen plasma when it was started earlier this year.
The device essentially works like a star in a jar, harnessing the near infinite power of the sun. Since then scientists have been monitoring the device and recording readings, according to a study in the journal Nature Communications.
Once the technology is viable it could be incorporated into power plants across global cities allowing Earth to run on limitless clean energy indefinitely.

The largest and most sophisticated stellarator in the world, Wendelstein 7-X (W7-X), has just started operation, with the aim to show that the earlier weaknesses of this concept have been addressed successfully, and that the intrinsic advantages of the concept persist, also at plasma parameters approaching those of a future fusion power plant. Here we show the first physics results, obtained before plasma operation: that the carefully tailored topology of nested magnetic surfaces needed for good confinement is realized, and that the measured deviations are smaller than one part in 100,000. This is a significant step forward in stellarator research, since it shows that the complicated and delicate magnetic topology can be created and verified with the required accuracy.

A year before that, I reported about some of the potential this could have (see German helium fusion stellarator may help propel Europe to dominate the world). In 2021, it “has been anticipated to achieve operations of up to approximately 30 minutes of continuous plasma discharge in 2021, thus demonstrating an essential feature of a future fusion power plant: continuous operation” (Wendelstein 7-X. It is even clearer now that this has massive economic potential.
Could these items have military potential as well?

World’s largest ‘artificial sun’ turned on in Germany

Scientists have just turned on the “world’s biggest artificial sun”.
The huge structure could help sed light on new was of making green fuels, among other technologies, the engineers behind it hope.
In all, the sun is made up of a honeycomb of 149 spotlights, which together make the structure known as “Synlight”. Inidividually, they are the kinds of xenon short-arc lamps used for cinema projectors, instead put to work simulating sunlight.
If it points all of those lights at one single, small spot, it can create about 10,000 times the amount of solar radiation that would normally fall there.
Such light is in rare supply in Germany at this time of year. So scientists are able to simulate it – and hence test new ways of making hydrogen and exploring cleaner energy sources. …
The goal is to eventually use actual sunlight rather than the artificial light produced at the Juelich experiment, which cost £3 million to build and requires as much electricity in four hours as a four-person household would use in a year.

What about nuclear uses or spinoffs from all this research?
France is a nuclear power already–and has expressed interest in modernizing its nuclear capabilities.

In an interview that gained attention internationally in mid-November, Roderich Kiesewetter, the chairman for the conservative Christian Democrats on the Foreign Policy Committee in German parliament proposed a French-British nuclear shield in the event Trump calls into question American protection for Europe. “The US nuclear shield and nuclear security guarantees are imperative for Europe,” he told Reuters. “If the United States no longer wants to provide this guarantee, Europe still needs nuclear protection for deterrent purposes.” …
Wolfgang Mischnick, parliamentary floor leader of the Free Democratic Party, which shared power with Kohl’s Christian Democrats at the time, publicly clarified what that meant during a session of the Bundestag on February 20, 1974: “It is still possible to develop a European nuclear power,” he said.

Germany has been contemplating the “unthinkable.’ Europe is now publicly stating what some of us were pretty sure some leaders believed. Things will change with Europe. The stellarator may be part of the reason.
The Brexit and the rise of Donald Trump has became turning points for Europe to move to develop its own military. It was the UK that often would veto an actual European army. But with the UK out, the restraining influence of the UK is gone. And Europe has its own military called PESCO (watch also PESCO and a Great European Army).
The British exit from the EU, combined with the use of Donald Trump as a type of scapegoat by some European leaders, has emboldening many who have wanted to see Europe dominate the West.
The Bible foretells the time of a great army (Daniel 11:25) and military power (Revelation 13:1-10) in Europe. The Bible also shows that it will have vast economic power and cause many to prosper (Revelation 18). Many in Europe in general, and Germany in particular, are working towards that goal, despite biblical warnings of being part of it (e.g. Revelation 18:4).
Is it possible that Europe could be considering weapons as powerful or even more so than thermonuclear bombs?
Yes.
The fusion projects could greatly assist Europe and reduce its dependency of Islamic sources for fuel. It also has massive military potential.
Germany used deuterium in WWII when it was trying to develop its own atomic weapons. The USA, with the help of German-born scientists, was able to do this first. But for WWIII, the Germans seem to be ahead (see also World War III: Steps in Progress).
Since the warring and prosperous Beast of Revelation 13 will be European (check out Europa, the Beast, and Revelation and also watch the YouTube video Can You Prove that the Beast to Come is European?), I have long felt that technology would be the key to Europe’s prophesied military successes (Daniel 11:39-43) as well as a reason that it will eventually be crushed by a Eurasian power (cf. Daniel 11:44-45; Jeremiah 50:41-43).
Could the ramifications of these fusion reactors actually propel Europe to rise up?
Yes.
One of the biggest problems that Europe has is its need for energy and its dependence on Russia as well as Islamic sources for energy. If instead of having to buy energy from Russia and the Middle East Europe generates its own power (and sells some of it), then Europe will have more money available to grow its own economy as well as support more militaristic ambitions.
Notice what the Bible says about the European Beast’s military ability:
3…And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” (Revelation 13:3-4)
Notice that the military power of the Beast was something that the world will marvel, be astonished about.
Why?
Because despite fascination with war (Daniel 11:38), no one truly thought that the European Beast power had the military ability to defeat the U.S.A. with its Anglo-allies (Daniel 11:39; see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses), and then the Islamic King of the South (Daniel 11:40-43). Revelation 13:3-4 also supports the idea that the Beast may rise up because of violent civil unrest in Europe.
That Beast power will be European (for more biblical details, watch Can You Prove that the Beast to Come is European?).
Technology seems to be the key to a powerful European military. One aspect could also include particle collider research. Europe now has the leading particle accelerator in the world, CERN’s Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and Germany is constructing a possibly even more advanced one called FAIR (FAIR stands for the Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research). FAIR is hoped to go live in 2025.
I have long believed that Germany’s FAIR, CERN’s LHC, stellarators, and other technology will help the Europeans produce military weaponry and/or economic benefits to fulfill certain end time prophecies. Since Revelation 13:4 is discussing what seems to be a unique type of warfare, this warfare likely includes certain high-tech weapons (such as electromagnetic pulse, neutron bombs, unique delivery systems, etc.) that will be effective for a while. The FAIR and the LHC projects are also likely to spin-off economic benefits that may help propel Europe to be (for a short while) the economic leader of the world (cf. Revelation 18).
Ultimately, however, the Europeans will be overcome by what appears to be a Russian-led, mainly Asian, confederation, cf. Jeremiah 50:41-43 & Daniel 11:44, possibly by exploiting some technological flaw, like creating a software virus, etc., while also amassing troops, etc.
Europe is concerned about Russian aggression and the USA’s direction. Europe is moving forward with its space and military plans and few in the USA seem to realize that when it gets enough power, the USA will lose all of its. Specifically notice that the Bible shows that this King of the North will destroy those who are perceived to have the strongest military might and apparently divide up their land:
39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain (Daniel 11:39).
The “he” above is referring to a European leader called the King of the North in that chapter (Daniel 11:40) and the Beast from the sea in Revelation 13:1-10). The strongest fortresses in the world belong to the USA and to a much lessor extent, its English-speaking allies (for a more detailed explanation of why the USA and its Anglo-allies are involved, as well as the dividing of their lands, please see Anglo – America in Prophecy & the Lost Tribes of Israel). This passage about the “strongest fortresses” in Daniel 11:39 cannot be referring to the continental Europeans as they support the King of the North, nor can it be referring to the Russians, Chinese, or other Asians as they do not get involved until verse 44 (see also The Eurasian Union, the Kings of the East, and Bible Prophecy).
In the 21st century, it must be a reference to the USA.
While the U.S.A., Australia, and others are currently worried mostly about China, the European developments will not be good for the Anglo-Saxon descended lands, including England.
Consider something from the Old Testament:
19 For the Lord brought Judah low because of Ahaz king of Israel, for he had encouraged moral decline in Judah and had been continually unfaithful to the Lord. (2 Chronicles 28:19)
Might leaders like those in the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, and New Zealand who seem to be encouraging biblically-moral declines cause their nations to be brought low?
The total destruction of the nation of the United States of America and its Anglo-Saxon descended allies is coming.
These lands needs national repentance to delay their coming destruction (cf. Daniel 4:27). Pray (1 Timothy 2:1-3; Matthew 6:9-13; Luke 21:36; Colossians 4:2).
The Europeans are rising up and technology, as I have long written, will be one of the keys to enable it to do so.
Despise not prophecies (1 Thessalonians 5:21).
The world order is changing, European technology is rising, and the USA will not be able to remain on top indefinitely.
Some wish to believe otherwise, but the USA’s rising debt and moral decline will help insure that.
Europe is rising and the plasma-fusion project is part of the proof that Europe intends to use technology to rise up.
