Jordan’s King: Now facing WWIII; France invokes EU, not NATO, defense

France has taken more steps against the terrorists who it believes were responsible for last Friday’s attacks:

ST.-DENIS, France — The French police stormed an apartment in the medieval heart of the northern Paris suburb of St.-Denis before dawn on Wednesday in an attempt to find the Belgian man suspected of orchestrating the Paris terrorist attacks.

Two people died in the raid, including a young woman who detonated an explosive vest, and seven people were arrested. It was not clear if the suspect was there.

“It is currently impossible to give you the identities of the people who were arrested, which are being verified,” the Paris prosecutor, François Molins, told reporters after the raid. “Everything will be done to determine who is who.”

The raid began around 4:15 a.m. Paris time, when special police forces, backed by truckloads of soldiers, cordoned off an area near the Place Jean Jaurès, a main square in St.-Denis not far from the Stade de France, where three attackers blew themselves up on Friday.

Inside the apartment, on the third floor of a building on the Rue du Corbillon, at least five suspects were holed up. ing Abdullah II of Jordan is warning Tuesday of a “third world war against humanity” in the wake of the Paris attacks, describing the Islamic State group as “savage outlaws of religion.”

During an official visit to Kosovo, Abdullah says both Europe and Islam are under attack from the “scourge” of terrorism that could strike at any time.

“We are facing a third world war against humanity and this is what brings us all together,” he tells a press conference.

While WWIII is NOT within Islam (see World War III: Steps in Progress), for the final King of the South to rise up, it will likely take a common enemy. And as I said since the Islamic State gained prominence, the Islamic State could be a driving force for those in the Islam-dominated nations in North Africa and the Middle East to come together.

France made a formal request on Tuesday for help from its EU partners following the Paris attacks, invoking a mutual assistance article in the European Union’s treaty for the first time.

“In Brussels, I have just invoked Article 42.7,” French Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said on his Twitter account during an EU defense ministers meeting. He was due to give a news conference later.

Nato shunned as France calls on EU to destroy Islamic State

Now the Bible does teach that the Europeans will end up having a very successful military (Revelation 13:4). It will be successful against the USA (Daniel 11:39) and a coming confederation of nations in the Middle East and North Africa (Daniel 11:40-43).

Some Protestant prophecy watchers have indicated that what could be called WWIII happens within Islam–but basically this view is that the Antichrist will be Islamic. Joel Richardson has improperly asserted several things:

Joel Richardson, author of a best-selling book on Bible prophecy, says atheists will have a field day mocking Christians for the incorrect interpretations about the last days…

His book makes the case that the biblical Antichrist is one and the same as the Quran’s Muslim Mahdi.

Richardson gives three reasons why Russian troops in Syria are not the fulfillment of Ezekiel 38-39, but of Daniel 8:23-26.

“In the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors have reached their limit, a king will arise, having a fierce countenance, skilled in intrigue. His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power. And he shall destroy wonderfully and shall prosper and practice his will and shall destroy the mighty men and the holy people. By his cunning, he shall cause deceit to succeed under his hand, and he shall magnify himself in his heart. He shall destroy many in a time of peace. He shall also rise up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken, not by human hands. And the vision of the evenings and the mornings, which was told, is true. While Joel Richardson is correct that Russian troops in Syria are not the fulfillment of Ezekiel 38 at this time, much of his other views above are false. Antichrist will support a European power as Revelation 13 & 17 demonstrate. Daniel 8:23-26 is a reference to a European power, not an Islamic one. Now, there are Protestants who believe that WWIII is about to start as they believe that Russia’s involvement in the Middle East is related to fulfilling Ezekiel 38, which it is not (see Ezekiel 38: For Russia & Iran in Our Day? ). Some have also concluded that the ‘Bible Code’ is showing this is about to happen (watch Russia, Iran, Syria, & the Bible (Code)).

That is NOT the case.

However, what is happening is that the Europeans are getting a wake-up call that they have massive differences with the Muslims and that there are enough terrorists in the Islamic world that Europe needs to deal with this differently than it has in the past. One of those differences will be that Europe will develop more of its military, beyond what many in the world think it will (cf. Revelation 13:4).

What about NATO? Is it just a relic of the old cold war?

NATO will exist for some time and could be useful to the Europeans later–beyond the current protection it is now getting from the USA.

Eventually, perhaps under the guise of a NATO exercise, Europe will launch a surprise attack against the USA. This would possibly happen after one or more trade disputes, and perhaps after the USA has been weakened by weather problems, terrorist acts (from likely Islamic sources allied with Europe, per Psalm 83:3-8), war, riots, solar flares, severe earthquakes, civil unrest, devastation of their genetically-modified food supplies, food shortages, and/or various pestilences–an intensity of “sorrows” such as Jesus discussed in Matthew 24:4-8 leading up to the time of the Great Tribulation. Disasters, especially if there is an ElectroMagnetic Pulse (emp) attack or a severe solar flare storm, could be part of a so-called “perfect storm” of events that could set up the USA for destruction.

I suspect that after the Europeans and the USA have some strained relations in the future, the Europeans may call for/agree to a joint military exercise, possibly under the conditions of NATO, in the USA. This would allow the Europeans to bring military aircraft, troops, and other military items to the USA, without the USA getting concerned it would soon be attacked.

The Bible shows that the end-time European power will take advantage of circumstances, trust, and timing (cf. Daniel 8:23-25; 1 Thessalonians 5:3).

While the King of Jordan considers that Islamic issues are the possible start of WWIII, the actual start of the ‘hot war’ (and the Great Tribulation) in my view, would be the fulfillment of Daniel 11:39:

39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain. (Daniel 11:39)

The “he” above is the European King of the North. Is it not the USA and its Anglo-allies that possess the strongest military in the world today? Well, the Bible shows that at/near the appointed time of the end, that strongest military power will be taken over.

It is not until AFTER verse 39 that the Islamic nations are directly attacked in this scenario in Daniel (see Daniel 11:40-43).

That being said, I do expect regional conflict in the Middle East and North Africa before the start of WWIII and the Great Tribulation. Actions by the Islamic State are getting the Arabs and Europeans and others more willing to support the type of confederation in the Middle East and North Africa that the Bible says will form.
