Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez dead related to shooting US military personnel in Chattanooga

An Islamic terrorist apparently shot and killed members of the US military in Chattanooga, Tennessee:

Four U.S. military personnel were killed in shootings Thursday at two military facilities in the southern state of Tennessee.

Officials said the gunman who opened fire at the two facilities was also killed in the incident. Several other people were injured, including a police officer.

Law enforcement sources said the shooter had been identified as Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez. No other information about him was available.

Authorities said the gunman opened fire in a drive-by shooting at a military recruiting center at a shopping mall in Chattanooga where five branches of the military have adjoining offices. The Department of Defense said a Marine recruiter suffered a leg wound in the attack; he was treated at a hospital and released, according to Marine Corps officials.

Witnesses said they heard scores of shots, beginning about 10:30 a.m. Sgt. 1st Class Robert Dodge, 36, the leader for U.S. Army recruiting at the center, said he and his colleagues then got on the ground and barricaded themselves in a safe place.

Dodge said he did not see the shooter or a vehicle. The Army recruiting office was not damaged, but doors and glass were damaged at the neighboring Air Force, Navy and Marine offices, he said.

The gunman next drove to the Navy Operational Support Center and Marine Corps Reserve Center about seven miles away in a car described by witnesses as an open-topped Mustang. He unleashed what witnesses said was a barrage of gunfire.

The center sits in a light-industrial area. The two entrances to the fenced facility have unmanned gates and concrete barriers that require approaching cars to slow down to drive around them.

When the gunfire stopped, the shooter was found dead. Officials would not say whether he was shot dead or took his own life.

The Marine Corps confirmed that four Marines at the Navy/Marine reserve center were killed. Names were withheld pending notification of relatives.

“We are treating this as an act of domestic terrorism,” Bill Killian, U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Tennessee, said, though FBI Special Agent in Charge Ed Reinhold said authorities were still investigating a motive.

U.S. authorities increased security at federal facilities “out of an abundance of caution” after the shootings in Tennessee, U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said.

Johnson said in a statement that the Department of Homeland Security was closely monitoring the shooting and supporting the FBI investigation. He cautioned that “there are many unconfirmed and possibly false reports about events.” http://www.voanews.com/content/ap-tennessee-shooting/2865189.html

A Muslim named Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez opened fire at a Navy recruitment center and a Marine Reserve Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee on Thursday morning, murdering four Marines. It was yet another Islamic State attack inside the United States, emphasizing once again that the U.S. is at war, and that the war is here, now, on our soil.

Heavy.com said Thursday that Abdulazeez’s “motive is not yet known.” However, only the most blinkered and politically correct could fail to see it. At 10:34 on Thursday morning, an Islamic State supporter tweeted: “O Americans Dogs / soon / You Will see wonders / #Chattanooga / #USA / #ISIS.” The shootings began in Chattanooga, according to AP, “around 10:30 or 10:45 a. m.” The story, however, didn’t break for some time thereafter, strongly indicating that Islamic State operatives knew about the attack beforehand.

What’s more, it was just the kind of attack in the United States that the Islamic State has called for. Back in September 2014, Islamic State spokesman Abu Mohammed al-Adnani published a lengthy piece entitled “Indeed Your Lord Is Ever Watchful,” consisting largely of a call to Muslims to mount jihad attacks in Western countries. “You must strike the soldiers, patrons, and troops of the tawaghit [rebels against Allah],” al-Adnani wrote. Thursday’s was on multiple military facilities – a clear attempt to target soldiers and troops of the “tawaghit.” Al-Adnani added: “Strike their police, security and intelligence members….Knocking off a police, military or any other law-enforcement officer sends a chilling message to the so-called ‘civilians’ and fills their hearts with consternation.” http://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/259497/jihad-chattanooga-robert-spencer

When I first heard of this shooting, and before seeing the name of the alleged shooter, I suspected that the shooter had ties to Islam. I also recalled the shooting at Fort Hood by Nidal Malik Hasan who killed 13 and wounded 30. He was Islamic.

And certainly the name ‘Muhammad’ does show a connection–and presuming that ISIS tweeted about this just prior (this has yet to be fully verified), this shows more terror deaths from those Islamists.

Despite the ‘war on terror’ that US President George W. Bush declared back in 2001 (which he indicated would probably take about ten years to complete), terrorism is not over. Nor will it be. Today’s incident is only one of, sadly, many.

As regular readers of this page are aware, the Bible shows that terrorism is prophesied:

14 ‘But if you do not obey Me, and do not observe all these commandments, 15 and if you despise My statutes, or if your soul abhors My judgments, so that you do not perform all My commandments, but break My covenant, 16 I also will do this to you: I will even appoint terror over you, wasting disease and fever which shall consume the eyes and cause sorrow of heart. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. 17 I will set My face against you, and you shall be defeated by your enemies. Those who hate you shall reign over you, and you shall flee when no one pursues you. (Leviticus 26:14-17)

25 The sword shall destroy outside; There shall be terror within (Deuteronomy 32:25)

25 Because you disdained all my counsel, And would have none of my rebuke, 26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your terror comes, 27 When your terror comes like a storm, And your destruction comes like a whirlwind, When distress and anguish come upon you. (Proverbs 1:25-27)

Because of increasing terrorism (and yes, terrorism has been increasing, see State Department: 35% increase in terrorist activities), more and more world leaders have proposed for some type of Arabic/Islamic confederation to better combat the problem.

The Bible tells of a time when a confederation of people in North Africa and the Middle East will get together (Ezekiel 30:2-8) and be part of something led by the final King of the South (Daniel 11:40-43). For a time this may be somewhat supportive of a temporary peace deal such as in Daniel 9:27 (see also The ‘Peace Deal’ of Daniel 9:27) and probably decreased terrorism.

However, the Bible also shows that this power will be involved in one or more deceptive deals (Daniel 11:27; Psalm 83:3-8). Deals that will not end well for the USA (Daniel 11:39) nor its Anglo-Saxon allies (Psalm 84:3-8). I believe that about three and one -half years from when the deal of Daniel 9:27 is confirmed by the ‘prince, plans for more massive terrorism will be made and carried out.

Anyway, terrorist incidents around the world are setting the stage for many in the world to more openly propose the type of King of the South confederation that the Bible tells of (Daniel 11:40-43). Because few understand biblical prophecies, they do not realize that this will end in disaster for the USA, its Anglo-Saxon allies, as well as the nations that stick with the King of the South per Daniel 11:39-43.
