UN’s ‘climate change’ conference trying to establish more world government precedents
The United Nations conference on “Climate Change” has been going on in Paris. Here are some reports about it:
December 2, 2015
WASHINGTON—Participants at the United Nations climate change summit outside Paris are discussing resiliency Wednesday, exploring the impact of natural disasters on the world’s most vulnerable populations. …
Wednesday’s sessions focus on oceans and other water resources. The UN warns that failure to improve water resource management jeopardizes progress on poverty reduction and achievement of sustainable development goals.
Participants at the conference sessions include national and local government delegations, development organizations, and water resources management groups. The participants plan to adopt a cooperative pact on water and adaptation to climate change, as well as gain commitments from different government, civil, and private sector groups to work together on improving the resilience of water resources. …
The U.S. president called climate change a massive, generational problem that is “about the hardest thing for any political system to absorb” because its effects are gradual, diffuse, and often difficult to measure.
But Obama remained optimistic that climate change culd be solved and that world leaders would reach a climate agreement with legally-binding emission targets at the end of two weeks of negotiations in Paris.
“I am convinced that we are going to get big things done here. Keep in mind that nobody expected that 180 countries would show up in Paris with serious climate targets in hand,” Obama said as he wrapped up his two-day trip and departed for Washington. …
A call for nations to act
At the summit’s opening on Monday, U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said leaders “have the power to secure the well-being of this and succeeding generations.”
“You are here today to write the script for a new future, a future of hope and promise of increased prosperity, security and dignity for all,” Ban said. “We need the world to know that we are headed to a low-emissions, climate resilient future and there is no going back.”
This year, 183 countries have issued long-term plans to cope with climate change… http://www.voanews.com/content/climate-conference-participants-discuss-water-resilience/3084038.html

In Paris, Obama worships at the altar of Europe’s real religion: Climate change
President Obama is finally in Paris this week, but not to build a coalition to defend Western Civilization after the latest Islamist attacks there. Instead, he’s in the City of Light to join climate change aficionados in their latest confab, which he imagines to be an “act of defiance” and “rejection” of the jihadists he is unwilling to name. In reality, he’s there to partake of a faltering progressive religion.
So begins the “COP21,” or annual meeting of the Conference of Parties to U.N. framework on climate change. For the twenty-first time, diplomats and camp followers are gathering to bemoan the possible future effects of the four percent of Earth’s carbon cycle for which human activity is responsible. …
When 195 nations deploy an army of bureaucrats committed to more government control of the economy, they are going to reach a deal requiring more government control of the economy. Paris will likely lead to a pact that supposedly binds all nations to reduced carbon levels, although developing nations like China will be required to do much less to comply. …
Shortly before, the author and screenwriter Michael Crichton put his finger on why, noting that:
“Today, one of the most powerful religions in the Western World is environmentalism… the religion of choice for urban atheists… If you look carefully, you see that environmentalism is in fact a perfect 21st century remapping of traditional Judeo-Christian beliefs and myths.”
In other words, we’re not dealing with a disagreement over public policy, but with a theology—an article of faith and emotion. No quantity of facts will ever change the views of climate alarmists; the best we can do is get others to disagree with them. http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2015/12/01/in-paris-obama-worships-at-altar-europes-real-religion-climate-change.html

Sense world is watching
Part of the excitement is the mere presence of all those world leaders right at the start of the summit, saying (almost) all the right things.
It is clear, from everything these leaders have said so far that they know many in the world are watching.
Another part is the number of initiatives — and dollars — being devoted here to the development of clean and renewable energy.
“I actually think we’re going to do it. I actually think we’re going to solve this thing,” said an upbeat Obama.
“If you had said to people as recently as two year ago that we would have 180 countries showing up in Paris with pretty ambitious targets for carbon reduction most people would have said you’re crazy. That’s a pipe dream.
“And yet here we are.”
The tone set by the leaders was applauded by the Climate Action Network, an international group of more than 900 organizations working on climate change. http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/climate-change-conference-nahlah-ayed-1.3345116

The COP21 climate conference in Paris is humanity’s last chance and it should focus on global inequality as “global warming is the human rights challenge of our time” say Desmond Tutu and his daughter Mpho.
Nobel Peace Prize laureate Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu and Rev. Canon Mpho Tutu issued a statement Nov. 30 on behalf of their foundation noting the conference offers a narrow opportunity that world leaders must seize. http://www.ecumenicalnews.com/article/tutu.says.world.must.seize.last.chance.at.cop21.climate.talks/36288.htm
This conference is technically the 21st Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, often abbreviated COP21.
Attempts to create a world government are advancing. Humanity’s “last chance” is NOT the COP21 conference in Paris, but the return of Jesus and the establishment of the millennial Kingdom of God. Religious leaders, like Desmond Tutu, should know this.
While I disagree that “climate change,” per se, is Europe’s real religion, getting international influence and attempting to set various standards for the world IS what Europe is going to be about (cf. Revelation 13:16-18; 17:1-6; 18:9-19).
COP21 is consistent with elements of the “‘New Universal Agenda” that the UN approved in late September of this year. And this is also consistent with Pope Francis’ Laudato Si encyclical.
Many world leaders believe that it will be international human cooperation that will bring a clean environment, peace, and prosperity–they do not believe it will take the Kingdom of God to make that happen. And while they will have some temporal successes (cf. Daniel 9:27), they will not only not succeed, their human efforts will ultimately bring planet Earth to the point that it would make life unsustainable if Jesus did not return to establish His Kingdom. What world leaders are often proclaiming here is a false gospel. Many in the world are trying to put together a semi-religious Babylonian international plan to put in a new world order in the 21st century.
When you consider that the ‘new universal agenda’ of the United Nations could also be called the ‘new CATHOLIC agenda’ this may increase the potential enormity of its impact to those who pay attention to biblical prophecy.
Understand that the word ‘catholic’ means ‘universal.’ (A related video is titled UN’s ‘New Universal Agenda’ is a False Gospel!)
According to the Bible, it will take a combination of a military leader in Europe (called the King of the North, also called the Beast of Revelation 13:1-10) along with a religious leader (called the false prophet, also called THE Antichrist and the two-horned Beast of Revelation 13:11-17) from the city of seven hills (Revelation 17:9,18) to bring in a Babylonian (Revelation 17 & 18) ‘new catholic order.’ And the Bible teaches that this is not good (Revelation 13, 14, 17, & 18).
This is something that the Continuing Church of God has denounced since its inception and plans to continue to denounce. Since Satan beguiled Eve to fall for a version of his gospel nearly 6000 years ago (Genesis 3), humans have believed that they know better than God what will make them and the world better. It may well be that the 6000 years God gave humans to rule itself will be up between now and the UN’s hoped for fully implementation of its ‘new universal agenda’ (details on the 6000 year plan are in the article Does God Have a 6,000 Year Plan? What Year Does the 6,000 Years End?).
While COP21 leaders try to come across as caring world citizens, much of what they and the United Nations are seemingly trying to do is repeatedly warned against in the Bible (Revelation 13:1-18, 14:12, 18:4; Zechariah 2:6-7). Do You Know That (New) Babylon is Forming?
Although Jesus said, “Blessed are the peacemakers’ (Matthew 5:9), He also taught that the Kingdom of God was the solution (Mark 1:14, Matthew 24:14; Revelation). His word has explained, regarding those of the world, “the way of peace they have not known” (Isaiah 59:8; Romans 3:17).
Furthermore, notice the following prophecy about Jesus’ return, followed by a statement from Jesus:
18 The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, And the time of the dead, that they should be judged, And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, And those who fear Your name, small and great, And should destroy those who destroy the earth. (Revelation 11:18)
21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened. (Matthew 24:21-22)
The nations of the world ultimately will take steps that are destroying the earth so much, Jesus will have to return and intervene.
While reducing pollution is a good thing, several of the ways that the COP21 conference are trying to force on the world will not lead to a truly clean environment nor peace.
