Why Terrorism? Is Terrorism Prophesied?

Why do we have terrorism?
Is it prophesied?
Will having more gun control solve the problem? Will banning Muslims from international travel stop terrorism.
Are there biblical and non-biblical prophecies that suggest terrorism and violence is coming to the USA, Europe, and elsewhere?
What about the teachings of Islam and Christianity, how do they affect this?
Is there any solution? What does the Bible teach? (Here is a link to a related sermon: Terrorism, Christianity, and Islam.)
The Bible Prophecies Terrorism
The old Worldwide Church of God (WCG) taught:
Many nations make no bones about their connections to terrorist groups. Syria, Libya, Iraq and South Yemen all see no objection in directly aiding terrorism. (Taylor D. TERRORISM the Worst Is Yet to Come! Plain Truth, May 1984)
The old WCG also taught that some of those nations would be part of the King of the South ("And when you see the Abomination..." Plain Truth, July 1963, p.22; The Arab World in Prophecy. Plain Truth, December 1979, pp. 11-12) as well as the confederacy of the confederacy of Psalm 83 (The Arab World in Prophecy. Plain Truth, December 1979).
This is based on the Bible.
The Bible clearly prophesies terrorism. Notice some of those prophecies:
5 They have corrupted themselves; They are not His children, Because of their blemish: A perverse and crooked generation. ... 25 The sword shall destroy outside; There shall be terror within (Deuteronomy 32:5,25)
12 “Cry and wail, son of man; For it will be against My people, Against all the princes of Israel. Terrors including the sword will be against My people; Therefore strike your thigh. (Ezekiel 21:12)
25 Because you disdained all my counsel, And would have none of my rebuke, 26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your terror comes, 27 When your terror comes like a storm, And your destruction comes like a whirlwind, When distress and anguish come upon you. (Proverbs 1:25-27)
5 Also they are afraid of height, And of terrors in the way (Ecclesiastes 12:5).
6 You have forsaken Me," says the Lord,
"You have gone backward.
Therefore I will stretch out My hand against you and destroy you;
I am weary of relenting!
7 And I will winnow them with a winnowing fan in the gates of the land;
I will bereave them of children;
I will destroy My people,
Since they do not return from their ways.
8 Their widows will be increased to Me more than the sand of the seas;
I will bring against them,
Against the mother of the young men,
A plunderer at noonday;
I will cause anguish and terror to fall on them suddenly. (Jeremiah 15:6-8)
While many political, media, and other leaders refuse to believe the Bible, the reality is that those of us who believe the Bible realize that terrorism is prophesied.

More terror will hit the USA and its Anglo-Saxon descended allies, but also many in Europe and elsewhere.
Expect more protests, including violent protests:
1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 6 For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. (2 Timothy 3:1-7)
23 ‘Make a chain,
For the land is filled with crimes of blood,
And the city is full of violence.
24 Therefore I will bring the worst of the Gentiles,
And they will possess their houses;
I will cause the pomp of the strong to cease,
And their holy places shall be defiled. (Ezekiel 7:23-24)

We certainly have seen a lot more support for protests, even when the protesters are clearly wrong, than we used to in the USA.
Various ones have reported that Hillary Clinton (see Hillary Clinton pushing for ‘resistance’–there will be more violence in the cities!), Barack Obama, and Donald Trump were part of the reasons.
But now we are more and more seeing organized protesters as well as training for protesters.
While there can be a time for protests (cf. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8), the results of increased protests will not be good.
Jesus taught:
25 Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. (Matthew 12:25)
We are seeing more divide in the USA and parts of it certainly appear to be intentional. Much of it is ideological. The USA is becoming less and less united and more polarized.
The mainstream media seems to be supportive of this and various groups realize this. Hence, the increase in training protesters.
This will not end well for the USA (cf. Habakkuk 2:6-8; Daniel 11:39).
The Kingdom of God is the Solution. Watch, repent, and pray (cf. Luke 21:36).
Why is Terrorism Prophesied?
The Bible indicates that terrorism can happen as the result of disobedience:
12 Behold, these are the ungodly,Who are always at ease; They increase in riches…19 Oh, how they are brought to desolation, as in a moment! They are utterly consumed with terrors. (Psalms 73:12,19)
10 You have forgotten God your Savior; you have not remembered the Rock, your fortress. Therefore, though you set out the finest plants and plant imported vines, 11 though on the day you set them out, you make them grow, and on the morning when you plant them, you bring them to bud, yet the harvest will be as nothing in the day of disease and incurable pain.
12 Oh, the raging of many nations--they rage like the raging sea! Oh, the uproar of the peoples--they roar like the roaring of great waters! 13 Although the peoples roar like the roar of surging waters,when he rebukes them they flee far away, driven before the wind like chaff on the hills, like tumbleweed before a gale. 14 In the evening, sudden terror! Before the morning, they are gone! This is the portion of those who loot us, the lot of those who plunder us. (Isaiah 17:10-14, NIV)
14 ‘But if you do not obey Me, and do not observe all these commandments, 15 and if you despise My statutes, or if your soul abhors My judgments, so that you do not perform all My commandments, but break My covenant, 16 I also will do this to you: I will even appoint terror over you, (Leviticus 26:14-16)
More and more in the USA and its Anglo-Saxon descended allies (UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand) will not observe God’s commandments and more and more legal decisions are contrary to, and basically despise His statutes (the LGBTQ agenda, including transgender actions, come to immediate mind). No one should be surprised that the USA and UK have experienced terrorism–and as I have written for years, more will come. Consider also the following:
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man — and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.
24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them. (Romans 1:18-32)
Many in the USA ands its allies either are involved in practices that the Bible condemns or condone one or more behaviors that the Bible says not to approve of.
Do not look for political leaders to truly reverse it. Instead, many politicians (including nearly all on the Democratic party side in the USA) either want to keep the ‘gains’ of the LGBT community or want to push for more ‘gains’ that are contrary to God’s statutes and commandments.
Although national repentance is not likely, personal repentance is. God does have a plan of protection from the Great Tribulation for those who are Philadelphian Christians in the 21st century (Revelation 3:7-13; see also There is a Place of Safety for the Philadelphians. Why it May Be Petra).
The murders and techniques used by terrorists are brutal and mean, and also tend to display a form of cowardice. The Apostle Paul was inspired to warn that such behaviors were prophesied:
1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! (2 Timothy 3:1-5)
Many terrorists claim to have a form of godliness, but do not believe in the God of the Bible. Their brutality is hurting them with the vast majority of nations around the world, including predominantly Islamic ones. A backlash will rise further, at least for a time (cf. Daniel 11:40-43; 9:27). People will then feel safe, when they should not.
We will likely see a major reduction of Islamic terrorism when the deal of Daniel 9:27 takes place--especially once the final King of the South is able to consolidate his power. But terror will again be unleashed, probably after about 3 1/2 years after the deal is confirmed (see also The 'Peace Deal' of Daniel 9:27). People will be misled that things are safer than they really are.:
3 For when they say, "Peace and safety!" then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. (1 Thessalonians 5:3)
This is because of Daniel 9:27, etc. a lull in the world will come, and people will think war and terror are no longer issues to be particularly concerned about. But they will be wrong.
Terror Within

That has been happening to places like the USA:

Those angry loner white boys with guns, this time in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, have again erupted on the body politic.
And those with eyes to see are reminded that the American culture is ill.
You might think these are “mass shootings” too, but, in political/media terms, they’re not treated as such. The victims, and in all likelihood the shooters, are black. …
There is a lot of violence in the USA. There was also the Gilroy Garlic Festival shooting about a week prior. The USA is seeing terror within.
Also, notice the following prophecy:
14 ‘But if you do not obey Me, and do not observe all these commandments, 15 and if you despise My statutes, or if your soul abhors My judgments, so that you do not perform all My commandments, but break My covenant, 16 I also will do this to you: I will even appoint terror over you, … and you shall flee when no one pursues you. (Leviticus 26:14-17)

Panic ensued Tuesday night in Times Square after a backfiring motorcycle was mistaken for a possible mass shooting, according to CBS News, which reported that the bike was traveling with a large group of motorcycles at the time.
..in the wake of the recent mass shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio, chaos ensued as people raced to escape what they thought could be an active shooter carrying out another attack. Some witnesses called it a stampede.
CBS New York said people were literally running out of their shoes, dropping their bags, jumping over counters, even trampling those who couldn’t keep up. Lots of children were crying. –CBS News

People are panicking as terror is affecting more people. More terror is coming.
Biblical prophecies on terror are being fulfilled.
9/11 and Joe Biden
My book, Biden-Harris: Prophecies and Destruction, has the following:
It has been suggested that the following is a prophecy related to the terrorist attacks of 9/11/2001 ('The Isaiah 9:10 Judgment': U.S. in crosshairs. WND, February 20, 2012):
9 All the people will know — Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria — Who say in pride and arrogance of heart: 10 ‘The bricks have fallen down, But we will rebuild with hewn stones; The sycamores are cut down, But we will replace them with cedars.” (Isaiah 9:9-10)
Essentially the leaders of ancient Ephraim and Manasseh declared that they would rebuild. A few prophecy-watchers have stated that Isaiah 9:9-10 seems to be related to what happened in the USA because of the 9/11/2001 attacks.

At a memorial ceremony for it, Joe Biden stated, “We come not to mourn but to remember and rebuild.” (US Marks 9-11 Anniversary. Voice of America, September 10, 2010)
At least one prophecy-watcher has believed that American politicians making “rebuild” statements” were taking defiance types of positions that Isaiah warned against ('The Isaiah 9:10 Judgment': U.S. in crosshairs. WND, February 2012).
Like ancient Ephraim and Manasseh, God was left out of the equation.
Since certain prophecies about Samaria appear to be directed towards the U.S.A. of the 21st century (e.g. Isaiah 10:4-11; Hosea 7:1-3), and this makes those ties to Isaiah 9 potentially stronger.
Presuming that end-time Samaria ties with Manasseh AND Isaiah 9:9-10 has an end-time fulfillment, then Joe Biden has been one of several leaders to at least partially fulfill this by pridefully boasting that a more majestic rebuilding will occur because of human effort. Terrorism is not over and the USA will have more of it. Joe Biden may speak against it, but biblical prophecy shows that terror and destruction (Daniel 11:39; Habakkuk 2:6-8) will come to the USA.
Whether or not Isaiah 9:9-10 are related to 9/11, the following prophecies in the same chapter of Isaiah are related to the USA and its Anglo-Saxon descended allies such as the UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand:
8 The Lord sent a word against Jacob, And it has fallen on Israel. 9 All the people will know -- Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria -- ... 11 Therefore the Lord shall set up The adversaries of Rezin against him, And spur his enemies on, 12 The Syrians before and the Philistines behind; And they shall devour Israel with an open mouth. (Isaiah 9:8-9, 11-12)
Syrian refugees are a potential problem. The Bible clearly is prophesying problems from some Syrians and some Palestinians. And this would be expected to include terrorism.

Joe Biden had promised his Administration would lift restrictions against Muslims coming to the USA. Here is something from his official campaign website:

Joe Biden will instruct the Department of Homeland Security to undertake a review of “watchlist” and “no-fly list” processes to ensure that they do not have an adverse impact on individuals or groups based on national origin, race, religion or ethnicity, and improve the process to remove names, when justified, from these lists. …
He will ensure the U.S. is leading the global coalition to defeat ISIS and use what leverage we have in the region to help shape a political settlement to give more Syrians a voice. Many countries have taken in a lot of Syrian and other Arabic refugees. But in the four years under the Trump Administration, the USA essentially stopped that practice.
Democratic party pressures may make the situation more difficult for both Israel and the USA.
The Biden-Harris administration wants to help, but seem to have overlooked, ignored, or discounted the following prophecy involving Syrians and Palestinians.
Notice also the following from the prophet Amos:
9 ‘Assemble on the mountains of Samaria; See great tumults in her midst, And the oppressed within her. 10 For they do not know to do right, ‘Says the Lord, ‘Who store up violence and robbery in their palaces.'” (Amos 3:9-10)
The reference to Samaria is pointing to the USA (see also Spiritual Samaritans: Old and New). The above is consistent with both civil unrest and terrorism. Expect more to hit the USA.
Is More Gun Control the Solution?
On October 31, 2015, terrorists linked to the Islamic State allegedly got a soda can bomb put on a Russian airliner in Egypt that killed all 224 on board (see Russia states terrorist bomb downed plane: Vladimir Putin vows action against perpetrators; Ezekiel 38? and Islamic State threatens New York City and claims ‘soda can’ bomb brought down Russian plane).
On November 13, 2015, Islamic State terrorists killed 129/130 in Paris (see France’s Hollande: Terrorists commit ‘an act of war’ in Paris–will Paris be destroyed?
On December 2, 2015 Muslims in the USA killed 14 and wounded 17 others in San Bernadino, California (see Muslim terrorists kill in California). The female involved allegedly professed allegiance to the Islamic State.
Some believe more gun control is the answer.

Prayers aren’t working.
White House hopefuls on the Democratic side of the aisle called for stricter gun laws in the wake of the shooting in San Bernardino that left at least 14 dead.
But after yet another mass shooting in America, GOP presidential contenders were conspicuously silent on the issue of gun control.
Instead, the Republicans were preaching about prayer.
“Our prayers are with the victims, their families, and the first responders in San Bernardino who willingly go into harm’s way to save others,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) tweeted. …
Democrats — even those not running for office — slammed the GOP presidential candidates for offering prayers instead of action.
“Your ‘thoughts’ should be about steps to take to stop this carnage,” Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn) posted on Twitter. “Your ‘prayers’ should be for forgiveness if you do nothing — again.” …
“Praying for all those victimized by the shootings in San Bernardino, California today,” tweeted New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
Jeb Bush’s message was nearly identical. …
The Democratic hopefuls struck a strikingly different tone.
“I refuse to accept this as normal. We must take action to stop gun violence now,” Hillary Clinton tweeted.
“Mass shootings are becoming an almost everyday occurrence in this country,” Bernie Sanders tweeted. “This sickening and senseless gun violence must stop.”
Martin O’Malley called out the National Rifle Association by name.

While I did pray for the wounded and the families of the victims, it was for their benefit. Prayers for the afflicted do not stop terrorism.
It would take national repentance to solve the problem of terrorism. Few in the media or the political realm seem to realize this.
Contrary to claims of certain politicians, it is not lack of gun control that caused the shootings. California already has a variety of gun laws. France has a variety of gun laws as well, and that did not stop the Muslim terrorists from killing over a hundred there in the Fall of 2015.
And the 9/11 terrorists used box cutters, and not guns, to perform their murderous acts. There are many ways to commit terrorist acts that do not involve guns. We have also seen terrorism based on driving in France (e.g. Islamic terror again strikes France) and a vehicle and knives in the UK (e.g. Terrorists kill and maim on London Bridge).
Terrorist do what they do because they refuse to obey the God of the Bible, but instead obey Satan. Notice the following:
4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. (2 Corinthians 4:4)
Those that follow Satan and his ways are dangerous in this age.

New ISIS Video Shows Armageddon Battle With the West

A new video purportedly released by the Islamic State titled “See You in Dabiq” or “Meeting at Dabiq” depicts ISIS militants fighting “non-believers” in Rome. “Dabiq” is also the name of the Islamic State magazine and refers to a place in Syria where Islamic eschatological prophecy claims “Armageddon,” or “Malahim” in Islam, will take place.
The Clarion Project writes:
Dabiq is a place in Syria that is supposed to be the location for one of the final battles according to certain Muslim myths about a final apocalypse. Choosing such a name for the magazine highlights the caliphate’s goals.
In the video, tanks can be seen driving towards the Colosseum crumbled in the sand. Footage then cuts to outside buildings of the Italian capital, before zeroing in on the Vatican. …

ISIS release chilling new ‘end of the world’ video showing final battle with ‘crusaders

The terror group have released footage showing an ISIS ‘armoured vehicle advancing towards Colosseum in reference to the ‘armies of Rome’
ISIS has released chilling new footage depicting its apocalyptic vision of the end of the world.
It has titled the video ‘Meeting at Dabiq’ which refers to the location of a final battle between the ‘Crusaders’ and the ‘Believers’.
The video also shows an ISIS ‘armoured unit’ advancing towards the Colosseum in reference to the ‘armies of Rome’.
In the footage the terrorist organisation shows a dead fighter being kissed by his comrades, a Jihadi on horseback trying to look like a honourable soldier and groups of men with the majority too scared to show their faces to the camera.
The propaganda video then shows a convoy of cars driving at sunset, before switching to a man raising the black and white flag of ISIS.
It then moves on to show the ISIS flag over Algeria, Libya, Egypt, Yemen and Iraq before parading the flags of the countries it has decided, ISIS is at war with.

Destruction of the Church of Rome has long been a major goal of those in the so-called Islamic State. It has made other videos threatening other cities and countries. One even warns Russia “your time is coming” and “it will be the worst.” The Islamic State has made various threats against the USA. But Rome is one place it really wants to hit big-time, as it seemingly believes that would really drive up its support.
As far as ‘Armageddon’ goes, that is a place I have actually visited and that is not near Rome (watch also Armageddon).
Notice that the Islamic State also want to use tanks against Rome. Gun control, per se, is not the solution to stopping terrorism.

Islam Encourages Deceit and Terrorism
Some interpret Islam as a religion that believes in war as well as in deceit related to warfare and terrorism.

The above seems to suggest that it is acceptable to act like ordinary neighbors for a time and then react against them--that goes against the biblical teachings of loving ones neighbor.
Sadly, this deceit seems to have happened with the terrorist killings in San Bernadino, California:

They were professing Muslims who lied. The male shooter had been arguing with a man at an office Christmas party that Islam was not violent. He then left and killed people, including the one he tried to tell that Islam was not violent.
Is this consistent with any view of Islam?

Murder and bearing false witness are wrong and in violation of the Ten Commandments (see also The Ten Commandments Reflect Love, Breaking them is Evil).

In other words, some trusted collections of Islamic written traditions says that Muslims should lie and kill. Well, unless all Muslims will denounce that type of interpretation of these writings, people should realize the dangers that this poses. It is not that all Muslims want to be terrorists, and my personal encounters with Muslims have always been positive, but the faith that many Western politicians (including the most recent Republican and Democrat US presidents) have in Islam by referring to it as a “religion of peace” is not in accord with interpretations/translations of some of Islam's trusted writings.
Most Muslims do not support terrorism and violence.

The Center for Security Policy (CSP) has released the results of a poll showing alarmingly high levels of support for sharia law and violence among the American Muslim community.
According to the nationwide survey, "significant minorities embrace supremacist notions that could pose a threat to America's security and its constitutional form of government."
A majority (51 percent) of Muslims surveyed said they "should have the choice of being governed according to shariah."
Almost 30 percent of American Muslims believe it is legitimate to use violence "against those that insult the prophet Muhammad, the Qur'an, or Islamic faith."
One quarter of Muslims said that "violence against Americans here in the United States can be justified as part of the global jihad."

Brigitte Gabriel is a world-renown national security expert. Her concentration is on the – ahem – explosive rise in Islamic terrorism.
She notes that there are 1.2 billion Muslims in the world. Of them, intelligence agencies estimate that 15-25 percent are orthodox Muslims, meaning they actually follow the teachings of the Quran.

Danish researcher: Islam is more violent

Despite the fact some political factions, both right and left, across the U.S. have dubbed Islam a religion of peace, new research from a Danish expert confirms that it is, in fact, violent.
The conclusion was noted in a report at Jihad Watch, which monitors the toll of the religion of Muhammad.
“Together with a number of research assistants, the Danish linguist Tina Magaard spent three years examining the texts of the 10 largest religions,” explained Nicolai Sennels on the Jihad Watch site. “The conclusion was clear: ‘The texts of Islam [are] clearly distinct from the other religions’ texts as [they include] a higher degree call for violence and aggression against followers of other faiths.’
“There are also direct incitement[s] to terror … Moreover, in the Quran [there are] hundreds of invitations to fight against people of other faiths.”
The author of that study, Christian Pfeiffer, from a criminal research institute in Lower Saxony, said even when other social factors are taken into account, there remained a significant correlation between “religiosity and readiness to use violence.”
“The fact that Islam is the world’s most violent religion is most likely the reason why Muslims since September 11, 2011, [have] committed more than 27,000 deadly terrorist attacks in the name of Islam. This corresponds to approximately 2,000 a year or five a day,” Jihad Watch said.
The report cited thereligionofpeace.com website, which has documented Islam-related violence since the terror attacks on New York and Washington.
“Another fact is that the number of Muslims in the Western world is increasing dramatically and that they are becoming still more religious: 75 percent of Muslims inside Europe think that the texts of the world’s most violent religion must be taken literal,” the report said.

In addition to prophecies directly mentioning Syrians and Palestinians (Isaiah 9:8-9, 11-12), there are other prophecies that suggest that those in countries that are currently dominated by the Islamic faith will be involved in violence, which could be expected for some therein to be involved with terrorism.
It is not just actual violence, electronic violence is something that has been tried and likely will be used again. The Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic State are believed to be trying to figure out how to interfere with the power grids in the USA in an attempt to stop access to electrical power:

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) -- Security researcher Brian Wallace was on the trail of hackers who had snatched a California university's housing files when he stumbled into a larger nightmare: Cyberattackers had opened a pathway into the networks running the United States power grid.
Digital clues pointed to Iranian hackers. And Wallace found that they had already taken passwords, as well as engineering drawings of dozens of power plants, at least one with the title "Mission Critical." The drawings were so detailed that experts say skilled attackers could have used them, along with other tools and malicious code, to knock out electricity flowing to millions of homes.
Wallace was astonished. But this breach, The Associated Press has found, was not unique.
About a dozen times in the last decade, sophisticated foreign hackers have gained enough remote access to control the operations networks that keep the lights on, according to top experts who spoke only on condition of anonymity due to the sensitive nature of the subject matter.
The public almost never learns the details about these types of attacks - they're rarer but also more intricate and potentially dangerous than data theft. Information about the government's response to these hacks is often protected and sometimes classified; many are never even reported to the government.
These intrusions have not caused the kind of cascading blackouts that are feared by the intelligence community. But so many attackers have stowed away in the systems that run the U.S. electric grid that experts say they likely have the capability to strike at will.
And that's what worries Wallace and other cybersecurity experts most.
"If the geopolitical situation changes and Iran wants to target these facilities, if they have this kind of information it will make it a lot easier," said Robert M. Lee, a former U.S. Air Force cyberwarfare operations officer. "It will also help them stay quiet and stealthy inside." ...

The Iranians, Islamic State, and others have realized that since the USA is so dependent upon electrical power, that the USA can be hit hard if its power is gone.

Nearly all the above peoples are in lands dominated by Islam--for details of which term means which nation, check out the article Is the Future King of the South Rising Up? The nations that compose the future King of the South are also currently dominated by Islam. Nations like Tunisia and Algeria would also be expected to be involved, as well as those associated with the end time European Beast power.
Psalm 83 is very likely to involve terrorism.
Why?
Because taking “crafty counsel” sounds like plotting terrorism. Notice also that a deal will happen involving Assyria, which is prophesied to takeover the USA and UK per Isaiah 10 (see also Germany in Biblical Prophecy).
In the Book of Daniel, the Bible also tells of a deal between the final King of the South of the Middle East and North Africa and Assyrian/European King of the North in Daniel 11:27, and that deal appears to be a little bit prior to the time that the USA is prophesied to be taken over per Daniel 11:39 (see also Anglo – America in Prophecy & the Lost Tribes of Israel).
Terrorism could involve bombs, dirty bombs, EMP matters, shootings, interfering with the power supply, demonstrations, civil unrest, riots, chemical warfare, biological warfare, and other forms of terrorism.
Many will want to destroy, but are eventually joined by Assyria (for details about Assyria in history see Germany's Assyrian Roots Throughout History and in prophecy check out Germany in Biblical Prophecy)--Europeans, which generally, do not endorse Islam. Not all terror is or will be related to Islam!
The Europeans will make a destructive deal with those of the Middle East and North Africa. Consider also the following:

23 Her graves are set in the recesses of the Pit,
And her company is all around her grave,
All of them slain, fallen by the sword,
Who caused terror in the land of the living. (Ezekiel 32:22-23)
It would seem that the King of the South will employ some type of warfare and terrorism against the descendants of Israel, and it is likely that Assyria will encourage this (there are also prophecies related to Iranian connected terrorists in Ezekiel 32:24-25). The Bible specifically warns about "terror" as a curse for the descendants of Jacob (Leviticus 26:16; Jeremiah 15:8; Deuteronomy 32:25) and since terrorism has often been used by Islamists, this may be part of how they will contribute to the destruction of the nation of Israel and the Anglo-descended peoples that Psalm 83 and Daniel 11:39 alludes to.
Notice that there is a prophecy involving the future King of the South and future (European) King of the North making a deceptive deal:
27 Both these kings' hearts shall be bent on evil, and they shall speak lies at the same table; but it shall not prosper, for the end will still be at the appointed time. (Daniel 11:27)
While these two kings eventually turn against each other (Daniel 11:40-43), the Bible shows that the USA (and presumably its Anglo-Saxon descended allies) gets eliminated prior to that:
39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain. (Daniel 11:39)
The strongest fortress in the 21st century belong to the USA. Because of deals involving the nations that support the future King of the South and future (European) King of the North, it is clear that they will work together to weaken then eliminate the USA.
Biden-Harris Administration
Terrorism is a way to weak the USA. With prophecies specifically mentioning Syria and the Palestinians (Isaiah 9:8-9, 11-12) and the fact that there will be terror from within (Deuteronomy 32:25), this is a real indication that terrorism from within the borders of the USA (and other countries) will be a problem. Terrorism is prophesied from lands that many refugees come from.

Many countries have taken in a lot of Syrian refugees. But in the past four years, the USA essentially stopped that practice.
The Biden-Harris wants more Syrians to be able to come to and/or remain in the USA.
In 1966 and 1979, the old Radio/Worldwide CG taught that Syrians were part of that confederation in Psalm 83:

Turn to the astounding prophecy found in Psalm 83:1-8 ... the coming time when ALL of Israel’s enemies would join together in an effort to crush out even the name “Israel” from the face of the earth! (Verse 4) “For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee…” (verse 5). Notice the nations making up this confederation. “Edom [Turkey], and the Ishmaelites [Saudi Arabia]; Moab [Jordan], and the Hagarenes [they anciently dwelt in the land known as Syria today]; Gebal {Lebanon}, and Ammon [Jordan] and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre; Assur [whose descendants migrated to Germany] is joined with them; they have helped the children of Lot” {Moab and Ammon in modern Jordan). Here we see that the Arab nations mentioned are allied with Germany (Assur) which we know from other prophecies will be the military leader — naturally so — of a United States of Europe…Egypt…will provoke the prophesied United Europe (Dan. 11:40). This European power — called the “king of the north” in Daniel 11 — shall invade and occupy the “glorious land” of Palestine (verse 41). “And the land of Egypt shall not escape”(Boraker R. So, we see at least two prophecies that involve Syrians and potential terrorism.
Now consider the following in the light of Isaiah 9 and Psalm 83 from the prophet Amos:
9 ‘Assemble on the mountains of Samaria; See great tumults in her midst, And the oppressed within her. 10 For they do not know to do right, ‘Says the Lord, ‘Who store up violence and robbery in their palaces.’” (Amos 3:9-10)
The reference to Samaria is pointing to the USA (see also Spiritual Samaritans: Old and New).
The above is consistent with both civil unrest and terrorism.
The late WCG evangelist Raymond McNair wrote that Afghanistan included descendants of Edom:
It believed that some Edomites also live in certain regions of the high mountains of Central Asia, including Afghanistan. ... History indicates that some of Esau’s descendants have migrated into Central Asia (into AFGHANISTAN and adjacent nations), Ishmaelite and Edomite names are frequently found in those Muslim nations. ... Now the Afghan Taliban has taken on the United States ... Many scriptures speak of the unbridled hatred of the Edomites ... (cf. Isa. 34; Ezekiel 35; Obadiah 1; Psalm 83 etc.). ... The coalition of nations mentioned in Psalm 83 is clearly intended as an end-time prophecy, that shows which nations will wage war against the modern-day descendants of Israel, and this includes the Anglo-Saxon-Celtic, English-Speaking peoples. While Raymond McNair had some prophetic misunderstandings (including about Afghanistan), more terror will hit the USA.
Afghanistan may be a place more will come from (see also Iran praises USA military defeat in Afghanistan; USA worried about terrorism).
The USA has had less terrorism the past few years than it did during the Obama Administration.
Now, expect more to hit the USA.
Biblically, Syrians and other peoples in Islam-dominated lands are expected to be involved.
And the Biden-Harris Administration is pushing to get more in the USA.
It should also be noted that Canada has taken many Syrians in at well and is also subject to terrorism from some of them.
While helping refugees can be a very good thing to do, when a nation has also disdained God’s counsel, it is putting itself at risk of terrorism (Proverbs 1:25-27)--which is something that the USA and Canada does.
King of the South and Terrorism
It should also be noted that the following could be related to the King of the South, as nations like Egypt, Lebanon (Sidon), Iran (Elam) and Turkey (Edom) are seemingly prophesied to be involved with terrorism:
18 "Son of man, wail over the multitude of Egypt, And cast them down to the depths of the earth, Her and the daughters of the famous nations, With those who go down to the Pit: 19 'Whom do you surpass in beauty? Go down, be placed with the uncircumcised.'
20 "They shall fall in the midst of those slain by the sword; She is delivered to the sword, Drawing her and all her multitudes. 21 The strong among the mighty Shall speak to him out of the midst of hell With those who help him: 'They have gone down, They lie with the uncircumcised, slain by the sword.'
22 "Assyria is there, and all her company, With their graves all around her, All of them slain, fallen by the sword. 23 Her graves are set in the recesses of the Pit, And her company is all around her grave, All of them slain, fallen by the sword, Who caused terror in the land of the living.
24 "There is Elam and all her multitude, All around her grave, All of them slain, fallen by the sword, Who have gone down uncircumcised to the lower parts of the earth, Who caused their terror in the land of the living; Now they bear their shame with those who go down to the Pit. 25 They have set her bed in the midst of the slain, With all her multitude, With her graves all around it, All of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword; Though their terror was caused In the land of the living, Yet they bear their shame With those who go down to the Pit; It was put in the midst of the slain.
26 "There are Meshech and Tubal and all their multitudes, With all their graves around it, All of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword, Though they caused their terror in the land of the living. 27 They do not lie with the mighty Who are fallen of the uncircumcised, Who have gone down to hell with their weapons of war; They have laid their swords under their heads, But their iniquities will be on their bones, Because of the terror of the mighty in the land of the living. 28 Yes, you shall be broken in the midst of the uncircumcised, And lie with those slain by the sword.
29 "There is Edom, Her kings and all her princes, Who despite their might Are laid beside those slain by the sword; They shall lie with the uncircumcised, And with those who go down to the Pit. 30 There are the princes of the north, All of them, and all the Sidonians, Who have gone down with the slain In shame at the terror which they caused by their might; They lie uncircumcised with those slain by the sword, And bear their shame with those who go down to the Pit.
31 "Pharaoh will see them And be comforted over all his multitude, Pharaoh and all his army, Slain by the sword," Says the Lord God.
32 "For I have caused My terror in the land of the living; And he shall be placed in the midst of the uncircumcised With those slain by the sword, Pharaoh and all his multitude, "Says the Lord God. (Ezekiel 32:18-32)
The above could also include people in the Arabic nations. "Pharaoh" be a reference to Egypt and/or the prophesied King of the South.
Crusades
Of course, it is not just Muslims that are involved in terrorism.
Actually, then US President Barack Obama pointed to those he called Christians for being involved in this before:

The burning alive of a Muslim man by the self-proclaimed Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) has jolted the president of the United States into acknowledging publicly that the world’s chief terror threat comes from people who ’profess to stand up for Islam but instead betray it.’
But that stark conclusion, long missing in the White House, was followed by a litany of other wrongs done in the name of religion.
‘Lest we get on our high horse and think this is unique to some other place,’ Obama told the National Prayer breakfast on Thursday morning, ‘remember that during the Crusades and the Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ.’
Of course, those that are truly Christians were never the murderous Crusaders. Crusader means cross-bearer and since early Christians never venerated the cross and it did not have widespread adoption among professing Christians until Emperor Constantine in the fourth century (see What is the Origin of the Cross as a 'Christian' Symbol?), it was not real Christians that were persecutors in the Crusades or the Inquisition--it was people who falsely claimed to be Christian.
The New Testament teaches that God's people are not to be involved in violence like the Crusades and Inquisition (see Military Service and the Churches of God: Do Real Christians Participate in Carnal Warfare or Encourage Violence?).
Real Christians were often victims of those Greco-Roman abominations (see Persecutions by Church and State), they did not cause them.
That being said, many in Islam believe that it was because of militaristic and/or persecutory actions by the Greco-Romans (which they tend to identify as 'Christians') that Islam added a lot of the statements related to war that appear in its later writings.
As far as the Church of Rome goes, because of a variety of compromises that deviated from the original Christian practices (see also Military Service and the Churches of God: Do Real Christians Participate in Carnal Warfare or Encourage Violence?), history shows it has dealt murderously with opponents throughout the centuries. Popes, with support sometimes from the Eastern Orthodox Patriarchs, called for the Crusades which killed Muslims and eventually others:
Urban’s main achievement was convoking the Council of Clermont, November 1095, which called the First Crusade. The Byzantine Emperor, Alexius Commenus, had sent a desperate appeal to Urban for armed knights to defend Christianity against the Moslem enemy. When the Pope laid the Emperor’s pleas before the knights in Clermont, the main concern of the noblemen there was not so much the defense of Byzantium as the rescue of the Holy land from Moslem domination. Palestine had been under Moslem control since the days of the Caliph Omar, but at least the Arab Moslems had allowed Christian pilgrims to visit the places made sacred by the life of Christ. The SeIjuk Turks, now the dominant Moslem power, had, on the other hand, closed off the Holy Land.
Thus the Pope concluded his speech to the council with these words: “Men of God, men chosen and blessed among all, combine your forces! Take the road to the Holy Sepulcher assured of the imperishable glory that awaits you in God’s kingdom. Let each one deny himself and take the Cross!” With a shout “God wills it” the Assembly rose. They adopted a red cross as their emblem, and within a few hours no more red material remained in the town because the knights had cut it all up into crosses to be sewn on their sleeves. Decrees of Pope Urban II at the Council of Clermont, 1095… He established and decreed that knights and footmen, that is whoever were able to go to deliver Jerusalem and the other churches of Asia from the power of the pagans, for the love of God and to obtain remission of all their sins, should set forth with one soul, bearing arms, and he decreed that in their property until their return unbroken peace and security should be observed. At the same time he provided that all who went there should bear the sign of the cross marked on the garments on their shoulders or on their forehead, whereby they would show the piety and pilgrimage of so great a journey and be impeded by no one. The Crusades were expeditions undertaken, in fulfilment of a solemn vow, to deliver the Holy Places from Mohammedan tyranny. The origin of the word may be traced to the cross made of cloth and worn as a badge on the outer garment of those who took part in these enterprises. Medieval writers use the terms crux (pro cruce transmarina, Charter of 1284, cited by Du Cange s.v. crux), croisement (Joinville), croiserie (Monstrelet), etc. Since the Middle Ages the meaning of the word crusade has been extended to include all wars undertaken in pursuance of a vow, and directed against infidels, i.e. against Mohammedans, pagans, heretics, or those under the ban of excommunication… the extermination of the Albigensian heresy was due to a crusade (Bréhier, Louis. “Crusades.” The Catholic Encyclopedia. As the above indicates, it was not just Muslims that the Catholics of Rome made war against.
The Albigenses were pacifists, but they and those who sometimes failed to not turn them in to Catholic authorities were often killed. Notice what a former Roman Catholic priest reported:
It has been reckoned that in the last and most savage persecution under Emperor Diocletian about two thousand Christians perished, worldwide. In the first incident of Pope Innocent’s Crusade ten times that number of people were slaughtered. Not all were Albigensians. It comes as a shock to discover that, at a stroke, a pope killed far more Christians than Diocletian (De Rosa, Peter. Vicars of Christ. Poolberg Press, Dublin, 2000, pp. 160-161).
(The entire persecution that Roman Emperor Diocletian unleashed lasted from 303-313 A.D; the inquisition-persecution that Innocent III unleashed lasted hundreds of years.)
Notice this account in the thirteenth century:
After this, the Crusaders moved to Lavaur…Afterwards, 400 perfecti were led out of town and burned in a vast funeral pyre. Vaux de Cernay put on record for the pope’s benefit: ‘Cum ingenti gaudio combusserunt’, ‘They set them alight with immense joy’. They were relaxed knowing they had his Holiness’s blessing.
Only one of the perfecti renounced his faith. They were pacifists. They died with dignity (De Rosa, Peter. Vicars of Christ. Poolberg Press, Dublin, 2000, p. 161).
It is sad that those killing pacifists believed that the pope’s approval meant that persecution and murder was appropriate. Nowhere in my Bible do I see any verse suggesting that real Christians were ever to become murderous persecutors. Actually, the 30 times in the New Testament the NKJV translators used the terms persecute, persecuted, persecution, those terms refer to something happening to Christians–not the other way around (have they not read “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you,” in Matthew 5:11?).
Of course, the true Christians (and some who were not Christian) did not accept papal views on violence–they remembered what the Bible taught. And the position of the true Church of God has not changed throughout the centuries.

Europe Appears to Be Getting Ready to Have Problems
In recent years, many Muslims have immigrated to Europe. While many have found a better financial standard of living in Europe, many disdain the government as well as various cultural and other practices in Europe.
The Bible tells of a time when a militarilistic leader will arise. He is called the King of the North in Daniel chapter 11 and the Beast of the Sea in Revelation 13.
The late Church of God evangelist John Ogwyn wrote:
A powerful war-making apparatus marshaled by the coming European superpower will be billed as the cornerstone of world peace and security. Modern technology will be used to create a police-state that Hitler and Stalin could only have dreamed about. People will be induced to accept such draconian measures as the price of getting rid of terrorism and violent crime. At first, this system will bring an upsurge in the world economy. A worldwide trading combine, prophesied in Ezekiel 27 and Revelation 18, will be hailed as the key to universal prosperity. Those at the helm of this system will, for a short time, enjoy unparalleled wealth.
Yet fatal flaws in this system, inherent from its beginning, will in time produce widening disparities. The Arab world will be displeased by attempts to coerce it into religious unity with Europe. A powerful leader—called in Daniel 11 the “king of the South”—will...bring about temporary unity of much of the Islamic world. Provoked by this leader, Europe will launch a “blitzkrieg” resulting in European occupation of much of the Arab world (Daniel 11:40–43). (Ogwyn J. Catholic private prophecy looks forward to a time when a leader who sounds a lot like the European King of the North/Beast of the Sea power will arise. Basically, it indicates that because Catholics will be lax a time civil unrest/civil war (sometimes referred to as the 'minor chastisement' in Catholic writings) would happen that would seemingly include terrorism, and specifically involves Islam. To solve this, the leader is to arise and profess Catholicism and lead to Catholic dominance once again.
Satan understands aspects of the Bible in its original languages better than any human being. Throughout history he and his demons have influenced a variety of mystics and writers.
Notice that the first Catholic writing below considers civil war/unrest in parts of Europe is a major sign for a leader to rise up:

The Ecstatic of Tours…The revolution will spread to every French town. Wholesale slaughter will take place. This revolution will last only a few months but it will be frightful; blood will flow everywhere because the malice of the wicked will reach its highest pitch. Victims will be innumerable. Paris will look like a slaughter-house. Persecutions against the Church will be even greater, but it will not last long…Many bishops and priest will be put to death. The archbishop of Paris will be murdered…At this juncture, the French people will turn back to God and implore the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary Immaculate…The French people will ask for the good King, he who was chosen by God. He will come, this saviour whom God has spared for France, this King who is not wanted now because he is dear to God’s Heart. Priest Lavinsky (died 1708): The world will be harassed by civil wars…the Cross, to the astonishment of all, will shine in double splendor through many lands because of the great ruler (Connor Edward. John of the Cleft Rock (1340): The White Eagle (Great Monarch), by order of the Archangel Michael, will drive crescent from Europe where none but Christians will remain–he himself will rule from Constantinople. An era of peace and prosperity will begin for the world. There will no longer be Protestants {there were no “Protestants” then and author Connor of that book suggests that perhaps this word should have been translated as heretics} or schismatics…God will raise up a holy Pope (Connor, pp. 33-34)
Venerable Bartholomew Holzhauser (died 1658):…”When everything has been ruined by war; when Catholics are hard pressed by traitorous co-religionists and heretics; when the Church and her servants are denied their rights, the monarchies have been abolished and their rulers murdered…then the hand of Almighty God will work a marvelous change, something apparently impossible according to human understanding. There will rise a valiant monarch anointed by God. He will be a Catholic, a descendant of Louis IX, (yet) a descendant of an ancient imperial German family, born in exile. He will rule supreme in temporal matters. (Connor, pp.35-36)
Priest Nectou S.J. (d. 1772): They indeed shall conspire for the destruction of the Church; but the time shall not be allowed them, because this frightful crisis shall be for a short duration. When all will be considered lost, all shall be found safe…The triumph of the Church will then be so complete that nothing like it shall ever be seen…A man disliked by France will be placed on the throne…(Culleton, p. 176; cf. Dupont, p. 48).
Presuming civil war/riots/civil unrest do occur in various parts of Europe on a larger scale, this likely will set the stage for the rising up of a military leader to resolve this. Catholic prophecies specifically suggest that this will happen and they tend to refer to this leader as the “Great Monarch” (or the “Great King”). Of course, Catholic prophecies also have certain contradictions–but many are consistent with biblical prophecy–some of the Catholic prophecies appear to be part of Satan’s Plan to deceive people at the end so that they will believe them OVER biblical prophecies. I would add that the belief that those in France (as shown above) will turn to “Mary” is not good, but is also consistent with certain biblical warnings (Isaiah 47; Revelation 17; 2 Thessalonians 2:8-12) as well as other Catholic prophecies as detailed in my book Fatima Shock!
It should be noted that presuming there is major civil unrest across Europe, this would seem to indicate that the final King of the North would rise up fairly soon, consistent with biblical prophecies in both the Book of Daniel and Revelation.
The Bible tells of a basically European kingdom that will be partially strong, partially weak, and with a fragile unity (Daniel 2:41-43), but that will have a frightening type of economic dominance (see Revelation chapters 13,17,18), but also make deals with Islam--which it will eventually eliminate.
Notice both a biblical and a Catholic prophecy that teach the elimination of those in lands currently dominated by Islam:
40 'When the time comes for the End, the king of the south will try conclusions with him; but the king of the north will come storming down on him with chariots, cavalry, and a large fleet. He will invade countries, overrun them and drive on. 41 He will invade the Land of Splendour, and many will fall; but Edom, Moab, and what remains of the sons of Ammon will escape him. 42 'He will reach out to attack countries: Egypt will not escape him. 43 The gold and silver treasures and all the valuables of Egypt will lie in his power. Libyans and Cushites will be at his feet: (Daniel 11:40-43, New Jerusalem Bible, a Catholic translation)
Rudolph Gekner (died 1675). "A great prince of the North with a most powerful army will traverse all Europe, uproot all republics, and exterminate all rebels. His sword moved by Divine power will most valiantly defend the Church of Jesus Christ. He will combat on behalf of the true orthodox faith, and shall subdue to his dominion the Mahometan Empire. A new pastor of the universal church will come from the shore (of Dalmatia) through a celestial prodigy, and in simplicity of heart adorned with the doctrines of Jesus Christ. And while the Church of God and the Bible warn against this leader of the North (Daniel 11:36-38), Roman Catholics apparently will embrace him.
Can Terrorism Truly Be Prevented in this Age?
Since terrorism is known to exist, can it be prevented in this age? Consider the following written decades ago:
Terrorists, knowing when and where and how they will strike, always have the advantage. It is virtually impossible to guard against a determined and prepared terrorist.
One man, with a device made from materials bought at the nearest hardware store, can hold an entire city for ransom. A small hit squad can throw an entire country into turmoil. It is that simple.
The experts agree: Anything is possible in the world of terrorism. There is no limit to the terrorist imagination.
The message is clear. In this world, terrorism can never be completely stamped out. Authorities fear that terrorist groups will now feel compelled to commit acts of even greater and more dramatic violence in order to stay in the headlines.
Privately, many experts are saying that they fully expect that a terrorist group will soon either steal or manufacture an atomic bomb and use it as part of some monstrous blackmail scheme. Underground pamphlets have already been uncovered in Europe containing plan s for crude atomic weapons.
Escalating terrorism on a worldwide scale is inevitable!
Far-reaching implications
Where is all this leading? The prospects are grim.
The personal suffering of innocent victims caught up in terrorism is just part of the picture. Terrorism can — and will — have much more far-reaching and devastating ramifications. (Stump K. How Terrorism Will be Stopped! Good News magazine, December 1985)
In this age, we are prophesied to have terrorism.
Before the Great Tribulation, Philadelphia Christians will be subject to persecution:
28 While returning to his land with great riches, his heart shall be moved against the holy covenant; so he shall do damage and return to his own land.
29 "At the appointed time he shall return and go toward the south; but it shall not be like the former or the latter. 30 For ships from Cyprus shall come against him; therefore he shall be grieved, and return in rage against the holy covenant, and do damage.
"So he shall return and show regard for those who forsake the holy covenant. 31 And forces shall be mustered by him, and they shall defile the sanctuary fortress; then they shall take away the daily sacrifices, and place there the abomination of desolation. 32 Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits. 33 And those of the people who understand shall instruct many; yet for many days they shall fall by sword and flame, by captivity and plundering. 34 Now when they fall, they shall be aided with a little help; but many shall join with them by intrigue. 35 And some of those of understanding shall fall, to refine them, purify them, and make them white, until the time of the end; because it is still for the appointed time. (Daniel 11:28-35)
25 He shall speak pompous words against the Most High,
Shall persecute the saints of the Most High,
And shall intend to change times and law. (Daniel 7:25a)
After the Great Tribulation begins, the Laodicean and other non-Philadelphia Christians will be subject to 3 1/2 years of terror, which the final Antichrist will promote:
25... Then the saints shall be given into his hand
For a time and times and half a time. (Daniel 7:25b)
17 And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. (Revelation 12:17)
15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. (Revelation 13:15)
Christians need to decide now if they want to be Philadelphians or not, before it is too late (cf. Zephaniah 2:1-3).
God Does Have a Solution
God has solutions to these issues.
Notice what He told the children of Israel:
1 "When you go out to battle against your enemies, and see horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them; for the Lord your God is with you, who brought you up from the land of Egypt. 2 So it shall be, when you are on the verge of battle, that the priest shall approach and speak to the people. 3 And he shall say to them, 'Hear, O Israel: Today you are on the verge of battle with your enemies. Do not let your heart faint, do not be afraid, and do not tremble or be terrified because of them; 4 for the Lord your God is He who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.' (Deuteronomy 20:1-4)
Why were some of these things written down about them?
7 And do not become idolaters as were some of them. As it is written, "The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play." 8 Nor let us commit sexual immorality, as some of them did, and in one day twenty-three thousand fell; 9 nor let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed by serpents; 10 nor complain, as some of them also complained, and were destroyed by the destroyer. 11 Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.
12 Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. 13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. (1 Corinthians 10:7-13)
As Christians we need to realize:
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints — 19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. (Ephesians 6:10-20)
Now, notice something for those who repent and serve the Most High:

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust."
3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler
And from the perilous pestilence.
4 He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. (Psalm 91:1-6)
21 My son, let them not depart from your eyes —
Keep sound wisdom and discretion;
22 So they will be life to your soul
And grace to your neck.
23 Then you will walk safely in your way,
And your foot will not stumble.
24 When you lie down, you will not be afraid;
Yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet.
25 Do not be afraid of sudden terror,
Nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes;
26 For the Lord will be your confidence,
And will keep your foot from being caught. (Proverbs 3:21-26)
25 The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe. (Proverbs 29:25)
4 In righteousness you shall be established;
You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear;
And from terror, for it shall not come near you. (Isaiah 54:14)
5 For in this manner, in former times, the holy women who trusted in God also adorned themselves, being submissive to their own husbands, 6 as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose daughters you are if you do good and are not afraid with any terror. (1 Peter 3:5-6)
6 The Lord is on my side;
I will not fear.
What can man do to me?
7 The Lord is for me among those who help me;
Therefore I shall see my desire on those who hate me.
8 It is better to trust in the Lord
Than to put confidence in man.
9 It is better to trust in the Lord
Than to put confidence in princes.
10 All nations surrounded me,
But in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.
11 They surrounded me,
Yes, they surrounded me;
But in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.
12 They surrounded me like bees;
They were quenched like a fire of thorns;
For in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.
13 You pushed me violently, that I might fall,
But the Lord helped me. (Psalms 118:6-13)
27 Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel, 28 and not in any way terrified by your adversaries, which is to them a proof of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that from God. 29 For to you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake, 30 having the same conflict which you saw in me and now hear is in me. (Philippians 1:27-30)
Following God is the solution for terror in this age. This DOES NOT mean that no Christians will be affected by terrorism. But basically what it means is that God will protect His faithful and NOT allow you to be eliminated by terrorism, persecutions, etc. until it would be your time, as:
28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. (Romans 8:28-30)
6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ; (Philippians 1:6)
Christians need to put their confidence in the God of the Bible.
While more 'gun control' may reduce some incidents of terrorism, gun control per se is not the solution to terrorism. While terrorists have often been Muslims, restricting travel of some Muslims will not stop terrorism.
Presuming that those in nations like the USA will not repent, then the only solution is one that politicians do not advocate.
Consider the following:
Perilous times
The scourge of terrorism was predicted centuries ago in the pages of the Bible.
Jesus prophesied that conditions in the latter days would mirror the chaotic state of the earth in Noah's time — an evil and corrupt world filled with violence (Luke 17:26, Genesis 6:5, I 1).
The apostle Paul also warned, "In the last days perilous times will come" (II Timothy 3:1). The meaning of this prophecy goes far beyond mere incidental crime.
"Make a chain," cried the prophet Ezekiel , "for the land is filled with crimes of blood, and the city is full of violence" (Ezekiel 7:23).
Bible prophecies picture an end-time world filled with lawlessness, aggression and hate, a world split by factions and international disputes, a n era of rampant, indiscriminate violence and murder inspired by Satan the devil, the original murderer (John 8:44). We are living in those very days!
Man, apart from God, cannot control terrorism.
As long as the evil influence of Satan remains on the earth, terrorism and crime will continue to escalate, despite man's attempts to stem it. Force will continue to rule the world. Man will continue to answer violence with violence. This is yet Satan's world (II Corinthians 4:4).
Is there any way out of this madness?
Is there any way to halt the violence?
The vast majority of people, even professing Christians, fail to realize that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is a message about the coming restoration of God's government over this earth. Only when Satan — the ultimate terrorist — is finally restrained (Revelation 20:1-3) and God's millennial rule is established on earth will violence be eradicated and lasting peace be realized worldwide.
Man, by his own puny efforts, could never unseat Satan. Only Jesus Christ can do that — and He will! But for the moment, God is permitting this world to go its own disobedient way, to learn for itself the bitter lesson that Satan's way of rejecting the laws and government of God can in the end bring nothing but calamity. But the day is soon coming when violence will be dealt with firmly and decisively. Purveyors of death and destruction will be dealt a punishing blow.
The returned Jesus Christ "shall judge between the nations, and shall rebuke many people; they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore" (Isaiah 2:4). Satan's way of vanity, jealousy, lust, hatred and greed will be replaced by God's way of loving, giving and serving. This is the only real solution to the rampant violence that is now engulfing the world. This magazine announces the good news of a coming new age, a new civilization, a new government for this earth. ... There is good news beyond the bad news — terrorism's days are numbered! (Stump K. TERRORISM the Worst Is Yet to Come!
Suicide bombers threaten mayhem in the Middle East. And experts now warn about "state-supported terrorism." Where is it all headed? ...
Terrorist groups survive despite governmental pressures in much the same way as a troubled business survives in spite of economic difficulties. To "stay in business," terrorist groups have, in the past, robbed banks, kidnapped, extorted, even dealt in drugs or other contraband materials. But "local fund-raising" has proven unreliable for some groups. As a result, they have opted for another, more ominous way of augmenting their budgets: seeking out powerful sponsors to provide safe havens, training, weapons and money. In some cases these sponsors have proven to be national governments — leading to what is now called "state-supported terrorism." Terrorists have become the means by which some powerful nations, desiring to avoid unwanted escalation or public outcry, can punish their enemies at a relatively small cost. ...
State sponsorship has presented a dangerous new face of terrorism. For one thing, the level of weaponry employed has advanced greatly. Crude pipe bombs have been replaced by sophisticated remote-fired car bombs. Molotov cocktails are out; rocket-propelled grenades are in. But greater levels of finances and weaponry are not the only changes that have come on the scene. Targets have changed also. ...
Terrorism Will Be Stopped
The immediate future does not look bright for those battling against terrorism. And as the world's level of frustration rises, an America that has seemed nearly impervious to terrorism may begin to suffer along with the rest of the world. ... This recent historic period was not unlike the situation in Beirut today — and not unlike a time described by the apostle Paul 1,900 years ago: "But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves... boastful, proud, abusive... unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash..." (II Tim. 3:1-4, New International Version).
Jesus Christ himself prophesied (see the account in Matthew 24:7-8) that at the time of the end, "nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.... All these are the beginning of sorrows." This is what we have today. One nation sponsoring bloody terrorist attacks on another. The governments under assault today are often powerless to stop this deadly scourge. The world must, instead, look elsewhere for a way out of this madness. More killings, more bombings, more sorrows are on the horizon. But there is a government on its way that will deal with terrorism in a firm manner. The kingdom of God will save mankind from men willing to go to any length — whether by war or terrorism — to achieve their means.
The coming Messiah "will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore" (Isa. 2:4, NIV). (Taylor D. TERRORISM the Worst Is Yet to Come! Plain Truth, May 1984)
God does have a plan to fix terrorism, but the politicians do not know what it is. The plan is the replacement of the governments of this world with the Kingdom of God:
15 Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!” (Revelation 11:15)
This is something that politicians around the world neither believe nor advocate. Until then, we in the Continuing Church of God will work to help fulfill the following:
14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. (Matthew 24:14)
The Kingdom of God will be the solution to terrorism. God will fix this. That is part of the good news, the Gospel of the Kingdom of God.
Islam and other religions that oppose the truth will be eliminated.
For God's people, consider the following:
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
32 Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. (Luke 12:32)
Do not fear terrorism 'little flock,' there is good news: the Kingdom of God will come.
