Cairn Upgrades India Oil Output as Profit Slumps

LONDON — Cairn Energy PLC Tuesday posted a 93% fall in net profit for 2009 as lower energy prices hit revenues, but made a significant upgrade to the oil production potential of its major new project in India.

Oil discoveries Cairn made in Rajasthan, India, are now thought to be capable of producing up to 240,000 barrels of oil a day, up from the previous target for plateau production of 175,000 barrels a day, the company said. The Mangala field alone may be capable of producing 150,000 barrels of oil a day, according to results from recent development wells, Cairn said…

This increase of oil output will strengthen their economies.  Few seem to recall that it originally was the USA that dominated world oil production.  This shifting of production clearly suggests that wealth will likely continue to increase in the BRIC nations, while likely decreasing in the USA.

On the other hand, in California,  a new tax on oil production within the State has been proposed in order to deal with budget deficits (http://www.montereyherald.com/opinion/ci_14723062).  But some oppose it:

This type of tax will not increase wealth of California, it will decrease incentive for oil production and related jobs.  Increasing taxes tends to cut jobs.

The trend is not a friend for the USA anymore.  The USA’s rising federal and states debt levels will have many consequences, some more severe than most Americans have imagined.

Perhaps it should be mentioned that the Catholics of Rome have other prophecies that those all over the world, and specifically those in Russia will become part of the revised ecumenical “Catholic” Church:

Many of the Eastern Orthodox believe that Russia is already Eastern Orthodox Catholic, and are offended by the idea that Russia needs to convert.

It is my view, based upon biblical prophecy,  that those in Russia will ultimately accept some of the Vatican’s authority, but will rebel from the final ecumenical religion calling itself “Catholic” at the end.  Closer diplomatic relations between Russia and the Vatican is one more step towards the fulfillment of various end-time prophecies.

Obamacare Close to Becoming Reality

The problems with Obamacare are three-fold.

No 1: the cost. . Health care reform will likely lead to more debt.No 2: the specter of socialism…

No 3: the unintended consequences. Will there be enough doctors to care for everybody? Will health care be rationed? Will medical decisions be determined in Washington?

There will be benefits to some and “unintended consequences” for the majority of Americans.  Here in Southern California it is likely that health care premiums will go up as Anthem-Blue Cross (one of the largest health insurers here) already had proposed major premium increases. But forcing insurers to take those that they would otherwise turn away (which the new bill purportedly will do) will increase costs even more.

Barack Obama’s legacy will involve more than what is being called “health care reform”.  One aspect of his legacy will be the increase in the national debt of the USA (see Obama’s Economic Stimulus, $14.3 trillion debt, and disaster for the USA).  And despite claims from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi last night that the bill will save over a trillion dollars, it is quite likely that the bill just approved (and with the changes that will ultimately happen by and after it is implemented) will strain the USA’s finances even further.

There is no doubt that some people will benefit from the bill just passed.  But it is quite reasonable to believe that it will increase the debt of the USA.  The “unintended consequences” of that will prove to be disastrous.

The Bible warns that in the end time, Jerusalem will be a problem:

And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it. (Zechariah 12:3)

This prophecy continues to be fulfilled.

On other matters, it was reported in the news that the Israeli government would not allow certain Jewish zealots to begin construction of the Third Temple last week:

The police will not allow right-wing activists to hold a cornerstone laying ceremony for the third Temple on the Temple Mount. In addition, requests made by Palestinians and right-wing activists to hold a march near the complex have been rejected.

This laying of the foundation stone is something that certain Jews wanted as they felt that this was supposed to happen on March 16, 2010 (see Third Temple Beginning March 16, 2010?) in accordance with a Jewish prophecy in the 19th century.  But what they and many others do not realize, a Third Temple in Jerusalem is NOT required for near term prophecies to come to pass.

However, the Temple Institute (which was not involved in the above) has taken steps to petition the government in Israel to allow sacrifices for Passover this year.  And ultimately, sacrifices will be allowed in accordance with biblical prophecies.

The Vatican recently announced a step that seems geared towards getting the Chinese to become Catholic. Notice the following:

The Holy See added the Catechism of the Catholic Church to the Chinese section of its Web site Thursday…

The Holy See launched the Chinese section of its Web site a year ago, which includes both traditional and simplified Chinese characters.

Chinese is the first non-European language that the Catechism has become available on the internet. This may be an important step towards the likely temporal conversion of many Chinese to a final form of “Catholicism”. Those of Asian descent would do well to learn how the current Roman “Catholic” Church differs from the Living Church of God (see Which Is Faithful: The Roman Catholic Church or the Living Church of God?) as the former has made many changes and is expected to make even more.

There are biblical, Chinese, and Catholic prophecies that indicate that many of the Chinese will be impressed by the ecumenical religion of the end time.

Here are some biblical ones:

3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Here are some Chinese ones:

Beautiful people come from the West.  (Pui-Hua R.  Ancient Chinese Prophecies Till the End of the World.  AuthorHouse, Bloomington (IN), 2008, p. 85).

All negative forces are subservient…China now has a saint.  Even if he is not that great a hero (ibid, p. 89).

The beautiful people may be the Beast and his false prophet which apparently will impress peoples in places including Asia. The “saint” will likely be “the false prophet”. Since there may have been an actual Christian witness to China during the time these prophecies was penned (see China, Its Biblical Past and Future, Part 2: The Sabbath and Some of God’s Witness in China), it is possible that this witness was the basis of parts of the prophecies, even though distorted somewhat (true Christians would have warned about a false religious leader coming from the West accompanied by a military leader).

It needs to be understood that both biblical and Catholic prophecies also indicate that the Chinese will finally turn upon the ecumenical European Beast power (also known as the final King of the North are the “Great Monarch”).  Here are some Catholic prophecies:

Countess Francesca de Brillante (20th Century). “I see yellow warriors and red warriors marching against Europe. Europe will be completely covered with a yellow fog that will kill the cattle in the fields. Those nations that rebelled against the law of Christ will perish by fire. Europe will then be too large for them who survive (Dupont, p. 78).

Nostradamus (16th century): Meanwhile the great Asiatic Empire will spread across the sea and continents to destroy the Christian world (Culleton, p. 168).

The Living Church of God has long taught:

God tells of a time, near the end of the tribulation, when nations from the north and east will overwhelm the King of the North (Daniel 11:44-45). Apparently an army of 200 million men will be used to complete this horrific task (Revelation 9:13-20). A combined force from Russia and China would relatively easily be able to muster an army of this magnitude, and will also have the financial and technological resources to back it (World Ahead Weekly Udate, LCG. September 15, 2006).

Here are some quotes of biblical prophecies that apparently include the Chinese causing problems for the European Beast power:

“40 At the time of the end… the king of the North…43…shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt; also the Libyans and Ethiopians shall follow at his heels. 44 But news from the east and the north shall trouble him; therefore he shall go out with great fury to destroy and annihilate many. (Daniel11:40, 43,44).

13 Then the sixth angel sounded: And I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, 14 saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.” 15 So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind. 16 Now the number of the army of the horsemen was two hundred million; I heard the number of them. 17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision: those who sat on them had breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow; and the heads of the horses were like the heads of lions; and out of their mouths came fire, smoke, and brimstone. 18 By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed–by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone which came out of their mouths(Revelation 9:13-18).

12 Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared. (Revelation 16:12).

It is almost impossible that a 200,000,000 man army would exist without having many from China.  And of course, biblically it is logical that China is one of “the kings of the east”.

So, while various prophecies suggest that many of the Chinese will temporarily be in awe of the final ecumenical religion, others indicate that the Chinese will realize that it will not truly be of God and turn on it.

It would certainly seem that getting Pope Benedict’s Catechism (he got this done in European languages while he was a cardinal–and it was the first “Catechism” in centuries) into Chinese is one step in the sequence for many prophecies to be fulfilled.

In its latest weekly update, LCG reported:

Will Clergy Have To Perform Homosexual Marriages? Advocates of Britain’s Equality Bill have developed wording to allow homosexual marriages in places of worship. While the bill specifically states that “nothing in this Act places an obligation on religious organizations to host civil partnerships if they do not wish to do so,” opponents are afraid that it will create the opportunity for proponents to file gender discrimination suits. A representative of the Christian Institute in England observed: “The Government has failed to understand the nature of religious liberty and has treated faith as nothing more than a matter of personal devotion. Now Christians feel let down and ignored. This is another step in the process of trying to force religions (sic) groups to abandon their core beliefs” (Telegraph, March 3, 2010. Emphasis ours). In Ezekiel 34, God condemns the leaders of the Israelite-descended nations who mislead and scatter God’s people. Isaiah predicted the time would come when Israel’s misguided leaders and sinful society would “call evil good, and good evil” (Isaiah 5:20). We are rapidly approaching the fulfillment of these prophecies for our nations!

This is disturbing for many reasons.  The idea that the government can propose laws to make churches violate their beliefs and individual ministers their consciences seems to be greatly against various principles of human rights–but the trend against biblical morality is increasing amongst many governments.

Christian Web News –  The U.K Supreme Court refuses to hear an appeal by a Christian registrar who is being forced by her employers to perform same-sex “marriage” ceremonies. The court argues that the case doesn’t raise issues of “general public importance.”

According to a report by the Christian Institute, Lillian Ladele said she is “disappointed” and feels her religious rights have been “trampled by another set of rights.” Since the U.K. Supreme Court will not take her case, she’s now considering taking the case to the European Court of Human Rights…

A court document states, “The court ordered that permission to appeal be refused because the application does not raise an arguable point of {law} of general public importance which ought to be considered by the Supreme Court at this time, bearing in mind that the case has already been the subject of judicial decision and reviewed on appeal.”  http://cwnewz.com/content/view/989/2/

Governments are becoming increasingly intolerant for individuals who cite biblical morality when that morality is not what certain government officials advocate.  And this is not just limited to the UK.

Unleavened Bread

Today, I received an email from the United Church of God that discussed the feast of unleavened bread.  Many who profess Christ have never even heard of this biblical period.  And most of those who have consider it to be a Jewish practice.

Notice God’s instructions in the Hebrew scriptures:

6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the LORD; seven days you must eat unleavened bread (Leviticus 23:6).

Jesus, of course, kept it (Luke 2:42; John 4:45). Although in the 21st century UCG observes it, UCG does not seem to believe that it needs to follow the above scripture literally as it teaches that its membership does not actually need to eat unleavened bread for each of the seven days.  Last year Pope Benedict XVI told people to become unleavened around this time of year (see Pope Says to Be Unleavened).

In 2010, they will be observed March 30th-April 5th.

But did early Christians continue to observe this time?

According to the Bible and the early available records, the answer is yes.

First, let’s start with the Apostle Paul’s writings in the Bible:

6 Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? 7 Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us. 8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth (1 Corinthians 5:6-8).

Notice that he is telling Christians to keep the feast.  Now while some may try to argue that he meant something else, the plain truth is that the records of history do show that Christians continued to keep this Feast of Unleavened Bread.

An old document that was probably altered in the 4th century, titled The Life of Polycarp, specifically mentions the  Passover, the Days of Unleavened Bread, and Pentecost. And it records that the Apostle Paul said that they should be kept:

In the days of unleavened bread Paul, coming down from Galatia, arrived in Asia, considering the repose among the faithful in Smyrna to be a great refreshment in Christ Jesus after his severe toil, and intending afterwards to depart to Jerusalem. So in Smyrna he went to visit Strataeas, who had been his hearer in Pamphylia, being a son of Eunice the daughter of Lois. These are they of whom he makes mention when writing to Timothy, saying; Of the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois and in thy mother Eunice; whence we find that Strataeas was a brother of Timothy. Paul then, entering his house and gathering together the faithful there, speaks to them concerning the Passover and the Pentecost, reminding them of the New Covenant of the offering of bread and the cup; how that they ought most assuredly to celebrate it during the days of unleavened bread, but to hold fast the new mystery of the Passion and Resurrection. For here the Apostle plainly teaches that we ought neither to keep it outside the season of unleavened bread, as the heretics do, especially the Phrygians…but named the days of unleavened bread, the Passover, and the Pentecost, thus ratifying the Gospel (Pionius. Life of Polycarp, Chapter 2. Translated by J. B. Lightfoot, The Apostolic Fathers, vol. 3.2, 1889, pp.488-506).

Notice that Paul is shown to have taught Gentiles to keep the biblical Holy Days.  Which is also what he did in 1 Corinthians 5:6-8.

Interestingly, Polycarp himself also kept the biblical Holy Days and he even told Bishop Anicetus of Rome that Rome needed to observe Passover the same day as the Jews and not on a Sunday (this is documented in more detail in the article Polycarp of Smyrna: Heretic Fighter).

Polycarp is considered to be a saint by Catholics, Orthodox, many Protestants, and those in the Living Church of God.  Yet of those groups, only the Living Church of God continues his practices as far as the Holy Days are concerned.

Notice what the Catholic writer Eusebius recorded that Polycrates of Ephesus, around 195 A.D. wrote the following to the Roman Bishop Victor who, as the previous writing showed, wanted all who professed Christ to change Passover from the 14th of Nisan to Sunday:

We observe the exact day; neither adding, nor taking away. For in Asia also great lights have fallen asleep, which shall rise again on the day of the Lord’s coming, when he shall come with glory from heaven, and shall seek out all the saints. Among these are Philip, one of the twelve apostles, who fell asleep in Hierapolis; and his two aged virgin daughters, and another daughter, who lived in the Holy Spirit and now rests at Ephesus; and, moreover, John, who was both a witness and a teacher, who reclined upon the bosom of the Lord, and, being a priest, wore the sacerdotal plate. He fell asleep at Ephesus. And Polycarp in Smyrna, who was a bishop and martyr; and Thraseas, bishop and martyr from Eumenia, who fell asleep in Smyrna. Why need I mention the bishop and martyr Sagaris who fell asleep in Laodicea, or the blessed Papirius, or Melito, the Eunuch who lived altogether in the Holy Spirit, and who lies in Sardis, awaiting the episcopate from heaven, when he shall rise from the dead? All these observed the fourteenth day of the passover according to the Gospel, deviating in no respect, but following the rule of faith. And I also, Polycrates, the least of you all, do according to the tradition of my relatives, some of whom I have closely followed. For seven of my relatives were bishops; and I am the eighth. And my relatives always observed the day when the people put away the leaven. I, therefore, brethren, who have lived sixty-five years in the Lord, and have met with the brethren throughout the world, and have gone through every Holy Scripture, am not affrighted by terrifying words. For those greater than I have said ‘ We ought to obey God rather than man’ (Eusebius. Church History, Book V, Chapter 24. Translated by Arthur Cushman McGiffert. Notice that Polycrates said that he and the other early church leaders (like the Apostles Philip and John, and their successors like Polycarp, Thraseas, Eumenia, Sagaris, Papirius, Melito) would not deviate from the Bible, and that they knew the Bible taught them to keep the Passover on the correct date, and not on a Sunday. Also notice that they always observed the day when the people put away the leaven. Polycrates also reminded the Roman bishop that true followers of Christ “obey God rather than men”.

Notice what a respected Protestant scholar reported about the second century:

The most important in this festival was the passover day, the 14th of Nisan…In it they ate unleavened bread, probably like the Jews, eight days through…there is no trace of a yearly festival of the resurrection among them…the Christians of Asia Minor appealed in favor of their passover solemnity on the 14th Nisan to John (Gieseler, Johann Karl Ludwig.  A Text-book of Church History. Translated by Samuel Davidson, John Winstanley Hull, Mary A. Robinson. Harper & brothers, 1857, Original from the University of Michigan, Digitized Feb 17, 2006, p. 166).

So, like the Apostle John (the last of the original apostles to die), the early faithful Christians observed Passover and the  Days of Unleavened Bread.

Adventist researcher Daniel Liechty reported Sabbath-keepers in Transylvania in the 1500s and later kept the biblical Holy Days (such as the Feast of Trumpets called Day of Remembrance below) (and those are days his church does not observe):

The Sabbatarians viewed themselves as converted Gentiles.. They held to the biblical holidays. Passover they celebrated with unleavened bread…The first and last seventh day of Passover were full holidays…There is no mention of circumcision, so it is unlikely that they practiced circumcision (Liechty D. Sabbatarianism in the Sixteenth Century. Andrews University Press, Berrien Springs (MI), 1993, pp. 61-62).

Notice that in the 1600s, those who kept the days of unleavened bread were persecuted for their beliefs:

And finally, the tragic “Accord of Deés” or Complanatio Deesiana in July 1638 definitely disjoined Sabbatarians from Unitarians. Unitarians were ordered to worship Jesus, baptize in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, and to allow their publications censured–a coerced “complanatio.” The “Judaizers” and those who rejected and cursed Jesus, however, were excluded even from the new amnesty. Sabbatarians were easy target of the new discriminatory law: they observed the Sabbath, therefore they farmed on Sundays, abstained from eating pork and blood, celebrated the Passover with unleavened bread, and refused baptism of their children–the very sign of their expected conversion” (Gellérd, Judit. Spiritual Jews of Szekler Jerusalem A Four-Centuries History of Transylvanian Szekler (Székely) Sabbatarianism. Note that the “Judaizers” are separate from “those who rejected and cursed Jesus”. In this region, there were both true Christians (the “Judaizers” who celebrated the Passover with unleavened bread, etc.) and those who rejected Christ as Messiah (hence the Judaizers were not actually unitarian).

So, we have both biblical and historical evidence that Christ and His true followers observed the days of unleavened bread.

Two years ago, according to Ronald Weinland, the 1290 days of Daniel 12 was supposed to have began.  When nothing obvious (or needed according to the Bible) occurred, he gave a sermon titled The Mystery of God Revealed – Pt. 5. (dated March 22, 2008).

He spent most of the time in that sermon discussing doctrinal issues, “profound things”, morality, other ministers, and highlighting some false teachings of the religions of the world.

But around the 50 minute point, he did briefly address March 18, 2008.  Basically he stated that the seventh seal (of Revelation 8:1) was opened on March 18, 2008 and that when someone emailed him and stated that nothing happened then, Ronald Weinland said that this was a spiritual thing.  He said that what happened had to do with Satan being directed elsewhere.

Around that time, I reminded everyone (see ) that according to the Bible the following would have happened then:

And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days (Daniel 12:11).

And forces shall be mustered by him, and they shall defile the sanctuary fortress; then they shall take away the daily sacrifices, and place there the abomination of desolation (Daniel 11:31).

“Satan” is not a daily sacrifice–nor is he the “King of the North” (which is who Daniel 11 is speaking of as “him”, see verse 40).  And physical sacrifices in Jerusalem (which have not yet even started) were not taken away on March 18, 2008 (nor since).  And a military leader did not muster forces then to fulfill those biblical prophecies.

And these events simply did not happen.  Yet later, he decided that the 1290 days did not start until November of 2008:

1290 Days: The Seventh Seal is opened on the 14th of November, 2008, which signifies an end to the abomination of desolation that has been working in God’s Church. This marks the beginning of an awakening for spiritual Israel – the final remnant of the Church of God that was scattered (those baptized before December 1994 – approximately 3000), and will continue right up until the return of Jesus Christ. Even though the prophecies were not filled then either, Ronald Weinland has stuck to his secondary dates.

Ronald Weinland has repeatedly ”spiritualized away” what the Bible has said on matters prophetic.  This includes the Great Tribulation, which he claims began December 14, 2008.

People should compare what he teaches and compare it to the Bible.  Despite his claims, Ronald Weinland is not God’s prophet, one of the two witnesses, the final Elijah to come, nor an apostle of God.

2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect This is a link related to a book by Bob Thiel (COGwriter). This also has YouTube videos related to 2012. The book is for those truly interested in understanding how prophecies inter-relate and who want to see a real sequence of end time events.  Unlike the false statements in Ronald Weinland’s books, events aligning with this one are actually coming to pass.

Because of radio interviews, I started to collect information on events that are aligning with predictions in my 2012 book.

The book 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect was released the first week of September 2009 (and I essentially finished writing it in late June 2009).  Many world events have been reported to occur after the book was printed that align themselves with what the book is teaching.

1. 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect teaches that the U.S. dollar will ultimately be worthless with another currency taking its place in the world (see Chapters 7-8 and Appendix B).

The Wall Street Journal reported that on September 7, 2009 a committee of the United Nations advised dropping the U.S. dollar as the world’s reserve currency (Goldstein S. U.N. Panel Calls For Dollar Reserve Role To Be Eliminated.  Wall Street Journal Online, September 8, 2009.  http://online.wsj.com/article/BT-CO-20090908-704507.html).  While there had been scattered discussions of this before, this was the first time such an important multi-national panel specifically called for the elimination of the role of the U.S. dollar as the world’s reserve currency.

Others have agreed since then and many nations in the world are in the process of trying to develop a plan to eliminate the U.S. dollar’s reserve currency status (Nielsen B. Dollar Slump Persisting as Top Analysts See No Bottom.  Bloomberg,  November 23, 2009.  http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=aUFExWDBKmew&pos=2).  Many Arab nations have decided to try to establish their own currency to get away from the US dollar as the world reserve currency (Evans-Pritchard A. Replacement plans need to determined by many before the U.S. dollar is dropped completely.

2. 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect explains that the Vatican will continue to expand its ecumenical policies and compromise in order to ultimately lure most of the Protestants and Orthodox into unity with the Church of Rome (see Chapter 3 & 10).

On October 20, 2009, CNN reported that the Vatican announced that it would allow Anglicans (and American Episcopalians) to become part of the Church of Rome without having to change much of their practices and rituals (Messia H. and Hanna J. Vatican welcomes Anglicans into Catholic Church.  CNN, October 20, 2009.  http://edition.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/europe/10/20/vatican.anglican.church/).

Yet, Pope Leo XIII declared in 1896, “ordinations carried out according to the Anglican rite have been, and are, absolutely null and utterly void” (Pope Leo XIII: On the Nullity of Anglican Orders, Apostolicae Curae, 1896. Modern History Sourcebook. http://www.fordham.edu/halsall/mod/1896leo13-apost.html)–which means for the Vatican to now accept those baptized, etc. by Anglican priests as Roman Catholic shows that compromise has occurred.   The Vatican of the 21^st century actually amended its constitution to accept the Anglicans.

On November 9, 2009, an Episcopal cleric explained how this would work and clearly stated that this allows for “the faculty to celebrate the Holy Eucharist and the other Sacraments … according to the liturgical books proper to the Anglican tradition” (Franklin. B. Vatican’s Apostolic Constitution explained.  Episcopal Life Online, November 9, 2009. http://www.episcopal-life.org/80050_116538_ENG_HTM.htm).  And much more compromised is expected.

3. 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect clearly warns that a major united European power will rise up (see Chapter 5).

Although the Irish people had voted against the Lisbon Treaty in June 2008, in October 2009 20% more changed their mind and voted in favor of it (McDonald H.  Ireland votes yes to Lisbon treaty. The Guardian, October 3, 2009. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/oct/03/ireland-votes-yes-lisbon-treaty ).

The Washington Post reported that on November 3, 2009, Czech President Vaclav Klaus was the last leader from 27 European nations to sign the Lisbon Treaty.  President Klaus, who was opposed to signing it, after doing so stated that this would eliminate the sovereignty of the Czech Republic as the Treaty forms a European supranational state (Janicek H.  Czech leader gives in, signs new E.U. charter.  Washington Post, Associated Press.  November 4, 2009.   http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/11/03/AR2009110303497.html).

The European nations became part of the new empire called for the European Union on December 1, 2009 (EU Constitution Comes into Force.  Voice of America,  December 1, 2009. http://www1.voanews.com/english/news/europe/EU-Constitution-78224062-01DEC09-.html).

But many in America did not notice it as the Wall Street Journal stated, “Like a tree falling in a forest with nobody around, the entry into force of the Lisbon Treaty made barely a sound on Tuesday.  And that was in Brussels.” [December 1, 2009] (Fidler S. EU Treaty Could Ease U.S. Effort on Mission.  Wall Street Journal, December 4, 2009. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB125988042088875605.html?mod=WSJ_hpp_MIDDLENexttoWhatsNewsSecond).  Yet the same article indicated that this empire will develop much more power over time.  And it will.

Greece learned in early 2010 that it lost much of its economic sovereignty because of Article 126.9 of the Lisbon Treaty (Evans-Pritchard, A.  Greece loses EU voting power in blow to sovereignty.  Telegraph, February 16, 2010. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/financetopics/financialcrisis/7252288/Greece-loses-EU-voting-power-in-blow-to-sovereignty.html).  Over time, all the nations who remain in the EU will learn that they have retained even less sovereignty than they thought—and later they will give up even more.

4. 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect warns that U.S. President Obama will encourage the rise of a European power to the ultimate peril of the U.S.A. (see Chapter 8).

On October 15, 2009 it was reported that Czech President Vaclav Klaus was the lone EU leader still opposed to the Lisbon Treaty (Waterfield B. Czech President Vaclav Klaus ‘to continue’ lone resistance to Lisbon Treaty.  Telegraph, October 15, 2009.  http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/czechrepublic/6329690/Czech-President-Vaclav-Klaus-to-continue-lone-resistance-to-Lisbon-Treaty.html).

The Obama administration worked to get the Lisbon Treaty approved as President Obama “wants a strong and united Europe” (Source: Baldwin T, Reid T., Coates S. On October 23, 2009, US Vice President Joseph Biden visited the Czech Republic and gave it security reassurances (U.S. foreign policy aware of threats – Havel after meeting Biden.  CTK, October 23, 2009. http://www.ceskenoviny.cz/news/zpravy/u-s-foreign-policy-aware-of-threats-havel-after-meeting-biden/404375).  This could have possibly had some limited influence on some of the Czech leadership, as the Lisbon Treaty was signed two weeks after that visit.

On November 3, 2009, Agence France Presse (AFP) reported that USA President Barack Obama publicly expressed his support for the Czech President’s signing of the Lisbon Treaty and for now having a  ‘strengthened’ EU (Obama welcomes ‘strengthened’ EU. 5. 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect teaches that a peace deal involving the Middle East with confirmation from a European leader must come to pass (see Chapters 5 & 8).

It was reported on November 5, 2009 that a deal involving the USA, EU, and Russia with the Middle East is something that Mrs. Clinton has tried to keep secret (Source: Hillary Clinton gives Obama’s Middle East game away.  WSWS., November 5, 2009. http://www.wsws.org/articles/2009/nov2009/pers-n05.shtml).

On November 13, 2009, Voice of America reported that French President Sarkozy held meetings with Middle Eastern leaders for some type of peace deal (Byrant L. The EU foreign ministers insisted on parts of a future European Middle East peace plan on December 8, 2009 (Schaeder B., Corder M. EU: Jerusalem Should Be Joint Capital. New York Times,  December 8, 2009. http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2009/12/08/world/AP-EU-EU-Mideast.html).

6. 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect explains that once the U.S. dollar is worthless, the European replacement currency will find it useful to greatly increase gold reserves to restore confidence in paper currencies (see Appendix B).

According to a November 14, 2009 story at the Center for Research on Globalization, it appears that a new currency with gold backing may be what will replace the U.S. dollar.  Specifically the story states that “the new currency will have gold backing” (Chapman B. A financial system which has almost exclusively benefited the wealthy.  CGR, November 14, 2009.  http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=16048).  Others have noticed that gold is becoming a reserve for currency for various nations (Picerno J.  Should You Buy Gold Now? 7. 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect warns that there will likely be gaps in the U.S. G.P.S. system and this may require the U.S. to rely on the upcoming European Galileo system (essentially an upgraded and European version of G.P.S) to meet that gap (see Chapter 5).

The U.S. Air Force disputed the idea of gaps in military satellite communications (Source: Air Force Official Disputes GAO Report on Projected GPS Failure.  Satellite Today, May 26, 2009. http://www.viasatellite.com/military/headlines/Air-Force-Official-Disputes-GAO-Report-on-Projected-GPS-Failure_31100.html), when that portion of the book was written.

But, on November 10, 2009, Aviation Week reported that the leader of U.S. Strategic Command, Air Force Gen. Kevin Chilton, “says so few satellites are in queue now for launch for critical missions–such as weather observation satcom or ballistic missile warning–that there is a risk of service gaps that could impede the military’s ability to do its job” (Butler A.  U.S. Satellite Coverage Gaps Loom.  Aviation Week,  November 10, 2009.  http://www.aviationweek.com/aw/generic/story_channel.jsp?channel=defense&id=news/RISK111009.xml&headline=U.S.%20Satellite%20Coverage%20Gaps%20Loom).

Furthermore, because of concerns about China, Reuters reported on February 4, 2010, “The U.S. Defense Department is linking its Global Positioning System with Europe’s Galileo, another space-based global navigation satellite system. GPS will feature a new military signal called M-code to boost anti-jamming, facilitate secure access and increase the local signal strength.” (Wolf J. US, wary of China, mulls satellite substitutes.  Reuters, February 4, 2010. http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSN0411054720100205).  This linking will essentially guarantee that the USA will have a portion of their military response ability controlled by the Europeans.  Galileo initially had critics as there were “early objections from the Americans who thought a rival system to GPS might be used to attack its armed forces” (Amos J. EU awards Galileo satellite-navigation contracts.  BBC, Jan 7, 2010 . http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/8442090.stm).  The problems with GPS combined with the fact that the first non-American, French General became one of the two “Supreme Commanders” for NATO on September 10, 2009 (French General Takes Over Key NATO Command In U.S.  RTT News, September 10, 2009. http://www.rttnews.com/ArticleView.aspx?Id=1062869) means that the Europeans will have much more control over the military over the USA than most have imagined.

8. 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect warns that the Large Hadron Collider, which was not even functional when the book came out, would likely develop technologies to be used militarily  by the coming European power.

On November 22, 2009, it was reported by the BBC that the Large Hadron Collider was now functional and was now providing useful technology for the Europeans (Rincon P. On November 30, 2009, the Large Hadron Collider set a new world record, “the $8-billion collider located on the Franco-Swiss border successfully accelerated the machine’s twin beams of protons to 1.18 trillion electron volts Monday. And even though it will run into technical problems sometimes, it is highly likely that the Large Hadron Collider will spin off significant military technology as 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect suggests.

The USA national debt clock registered 9.2 trillion dollars in April 2008, was 11 trillion in July 2009.

And for the sacrifices to start, while a temple is not biblically required for that (Ezra 3:6), a sacrificial altar is (Ezra 3:2-3).  December 25, 2009, it was reported that the Temple Institute announced that it finished building a sacrificial altar (Ronen G. Concluding Comments

Major world sources reported (though have often not emphasized) many of these significant events.  Most of the public has NOT learned how these events align with end time prophecies and predictions.  But none of these events should have been a surprise for those who have read and understood 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect.  Even President Obama’s November 2009 troop increases to Afghanistan were mentioned as expected in chapters 3 and 8 of 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect.

Prophecies are coming to pass and the groundwork is being shown in significant world events.  Those who consider themselves Christians should heed Jesus’ and the Apostle Paul’s admonitions to watch world events.  Christians and non-Christians should ponder that since some predicted events are coming to pass, that it is highly likely that others will as well.

If world prophecies over the past 3,000 years are coming to pass, perhaps all may wish to understand them and the aligning world events.  Those who know can help themselves and their loved ones.
