The Bible teaches that Eurasian Union will form, and Vladimir Putin has been a major leader calling for that (see also Putin: Leader of the Eurasian Union?).  However, according to Bible prophecy, Russia is not the one that will lead an attack against the USA, that would be Europe (watch the video Can You Prove that the Beast to Come is European?).

On February 4th, 2013, Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, addressed the Duma, (Russian Parliament), and gave a speech about the tensions with minorities in Russia:

If they prefer Sharia Law, then we advise them to go to those places where that’s the state law. Russia does not need  minorities. When I grew up, I was taught that the old Soviet Union was overly focused on spying on its people and spying on others.  But now, it is the USA that seems to have that top distinction in the world in 2013.

Top-secret National Security Agency programs that cull metadata from U.S. citizens to keep tabs on potential terrorist threats in no way violate Americans’ privacy, two high-ranking members of the House Intelligence Committee and one former intelligence official agreed Sunday on “Face the Nation.” But with details of the programs circulating internationally thanks to Edward Snowden, they all added, reforms may be necessary, if only to placate public perception.President Obama on Friday announced a series of steps to make NSA programs more transparent, explaining not only how the programs operate but also releasing the Justice Department’s legal rationale for the programs. The administration also plans to back various reforms to the programs to strengthen oversight…

Going forward will be hard, Hayden continued, because some steps the president could take to make the public more comfortable with NSA activity “will actually make Americans less safe.”…

Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., another member of the House Intelligence Committee, argued on the show that the president’s primary fault has been staying “silent for the past two months.”

“He allowed the Edward Snowdens and others in the world to dominate the media, and now we have people thinking the NSA is spying on people, is listening to our phone calls,” he said. “The president of the United States as commander-in-chief had the obligation to be aggressively and effectively defending his program, and he really didn’t do it.”

I absolutely believe that what NSA does, as well as many other agencies of the USA government do, violates privacy.  I also believe that once the European Beast power takes over the USA, it will go through remaining government computers to look up information about various ones who the USA government had information on.  The data collection techniques, as well as likely some of the actual data itself, will benefit the final persecuting European Beast power (cf. Daniel 7:25)–and because of the Snowden matter, the Europeans have asked for (see EU tells USA to stop spying on it as it asks for more information) and USA has already agreed to share a lot with the Europeans (see item in Germany most upset by USA espionage).

Now as far as the more medium term future for the USA, what do I expect?

I expect that the government will take steps to make its data collection and espionage more ‘legal’ in the views of the constitutionally-devoid.  I also believe that the US President Barack Obama will likely put some highly limited restrictions on some of what NSA does.  But overall, the US government will end up with more data, at least in total.

I also believe that once there is some type of terrorist attack in the USA that it will be used as an excuse to change the rules again and allow more data collection and espionage.  Various government officials in the past have said that they should not ‘waste’ a ‘good crisis.’  Watch.

Israel’s government has decided to build more housing in areas that the Palestinians claim:

Palestinians have reacted angrily to Israel’s approval of nearly 1,200 new Jewish settlement homes, just days before peace talks are set to resume.

Palestinian negotiators said the approval cast doubt on Israel’s sincerity in the peace process…

About 500,000 Jews live in more than 100 settlements built since Israel’s 1967 occupation of the West Bank and East Jerusalem. The Palestinians want to establish their state in those areas, as well as the Gaza Strip.

The settlements are considered illegal under international law, although Israel disputes this.

‘Dangerous policy’

On Sunday, Israeli Housing Minister Uri Ariel confirmed that 793 apartments would be built in east Jerusalem and 394 in several large West Bank settlements…

PLO executive committee member Hanan Ashrawi told the BBC: “We believe that Israel is deliberately sending a message to the US, to the rest of the world that regardless of any attempt at launching negotiations, ‘we are going to press ahead with stealing more land, building more settlements and destroying the two-state-solution’.

“This is an extremely dangerous policy, and if left unchecked it certainly would lead to greater conflict and the destruction of all chances of peace.”

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas had previously insisted he would not resume talks without an Israeli settlement freeze, but relented during mediation by US Secretary of State John Kerry.  http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-23656904

Israel is inviting contractors to build almost 1,200 new homes in occupied territory claimed by the Palestinians, a controversial move that comes three days before the planned resumption of Israeli-Palestinian peace talks.

Israeli Housing Minister Uri Ariel gave final approval for the move on Sunday, issuing tenders for about 800 new homes in Jewish neighborhoods of East Jerusalem and another 400 units in the West Bank settlements of Ariel, Beitar Illit, Efrat and Maaleh Adumim.

Palestinian officials criticized the announcement, accusing Israel of bad faith ahead of a planned Wednesday meeting of Israeli and Palestinian peace negotiators in Jerusalem. Palestinians claim East Jerusalem and the West Bank for an independent state and say Israeli settlement expansion will make it harder for them to achieve that.

The Obama administration had no immediate reaction to the Israeli move. But, it has long refused to accept the legitimacy of Israeli settlement activity and called on both Israelis and Palestinians to avoid actions that complicate negotiations.

Israeli Minister Ariel rejected that criticism, saying “no country in the world takes orders from other states about where it can build.” The ultranationalist politician also said Israel will continue to issue housing tenders throughout the country as the “right thing” to do for Zionism and the economy.  http://www.voanews.com/content/israel-approves-new-settlement-homes-ahead-of-peace-talks/1727594.html

The Israelis do not want to give up the territory that the Palestinians want them to. And the Palestinians are concerned that the more Israel builds, the less likely they will be to give up certain territory.

Now, in the book of Daniel there is a prophecy related to the end times that states:

26 And the people of the prince who is to come
Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.
The end of it shall be with a flood,
And till the end of the war desolations are determined.
27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate (Daniel 9:26-27).

The Palestinians do not want the Israelis to build more settlements and the Israelis do not like what the Palestinians and others are proposing yet for a “peace deal.”

The type of deal that Daniel wrote about will come will likely happen when both sides feel that they have no choice but to enter in a major deal, which will also be a deal involving the Europeans (watch also Can You Prove that the Beast to Come is European?).

A deal that Bible prophecy teaches that the Europeans will break (Daniel 9:27; 11:31; Matthew 24:15) and that Israel will come to regret.

The UK does not seem to want to admit it, but it appears to be looking to compile a list of reasons why it perhaps would want to leave the European Union or at least not be totally committed to all parts of it:

Anger over plot to put EU flag on all birth certificates

BRUSSELS bureaucrats faced fresh fury last night after revealing proposals for European Union birth certificates.

Official EU documents to certify marriages, civil partnerships and deaths – stamped with the EU’s blue-and-gold flag – are also being proposed.

Tory ministers warned that the new multi-lingual paperwork – expected to be introduced from next year – will mean more sinister Brussels meddling in the lives of British citizens “from the ­cradle to the grave”.

And they accused Eurocrats of another “bullying” attempt to wipe the Union flag and Royal Crest from official documents.

The UK is becoming more and concerned about loss of sovereignty if it remains part of the EU (and ultimately it will either leave, be pushed out, of takeover by a European power (watch also Can You Prove that the Beast to Come is European?).

But before going further, I thought I would remind everyone that the EU flag is supposed to be a Marian symbol (see also Vatican News: EU Flag is Marian).  The nominally Anglican UK does not want either the Marian symbol now nor the interference from Brussels (where the EU is essentially headquartered from).

Mary is prominent in an unusual way in the new European Union as she was the “inspiration” for its flag. According to the Times Online (November 16, 2005):

“The chosen flag was designed by Arsene Heitz, a German Roman Catholic who said that he had been inspired by a line in the Book of Revelation about the Virgin Mary wearing a crown of 12 stars, a common depiction in Christian iconography.”

Hence, we see a clear tie between Mary (called the “Queen of Heaven” by the Roman Catholics) and the flag for the European Union. The final European power will also be a religious one (Revelation 13:4,8).

There is much more involving what is and will be claimed to be “Mary” and Europe than most, even in Europe, realize.   And even the new Pope Francis has been more ‘Marian’ that other recent popes (see Pope Francis: Could this Marian Focused Pontiff be Fulfilling Prophecy?).  This Marian emphasis will not turn out well for anybody involved with it in the long run.

The European Union itself is all about trying to be a revival of the old Holy Roman Empire and that it certainly does intend to be a military empire. If not, I simply do not believe that Germany (who tried to recreate the empire via two world wars) would continue to fund the EU. Nor would the Europeans have developed the Galileo satellite system (EU Approves Galileo For Military Use and USA GPS and EU Galileo linking was expected), the Large Hadron Collider (CERN Makes Major Strides with Antimatter), decided to fund FAIR (another collider-type project, see Germany Approves FAIR Particle Accelerator Project), nor be involved in various other activities that it is now engaged in (e.g. Europe Looking to be a Major Player in Space).

Another financial, administrative, and military system is starting to arise in Europe and the Anglo-descended nations will not like what will replace Anglo-capitalism or “Pax Americana” in that new world order.

But ultimately, Jesus will come and establish His kingdom with, amongst other things, a proper economic system. But until then, overall, Britain will see that it has less influence on the world scene than it did in its glory days or even as it did a decade or so ago.

Although the United Kingdom (and related Commonwealth nations) and the United States have dominated the world’s economy the past couple of centuries (as well as the military for over a 1/2 century), a shift is occurring and those in the Anglo-nations will not like what will be happening relatively soon.

And British attitudes towards the European Union will likely be a factor.

Today is the 150th anniversary, according to CG7-Denver, of its magazine, now called the Bible Advocate.  The following is from former CG7 President Robert Coulter from two articles in the July-August 2013 edition:

The Michigan State Conference of the Church of Christ, predecessor to the Church of God (Seventh Day), made plans for the publication of a magazine in its conference at Bangor in June 1863.

It chose The Hope of Israel as the name, solicited subscriptions at seventy- five cents per year, received offerings to defray startup costs, and hired H. S. Dille as its editor. On August 10, 1863, the first edition of The Hope was sent to fewer than forty subscribers…

The Hope taught the Advent, Sabbath, and conditional immortality, while advocating sola scriptura…

Our pioneer church had no theological statement on God, and its discussions of Christology proved unfruitful. Its earliest clerics were divided in their opinions on Christ’s identity. Some taught that Jesus was a natural son of Mary and Joseph, later adopted as God’s Son…

The Church was founded on an anti-Trinitarian doctrine, in which the Holy Spirit is not a personal part of the Godhead but a mere influence or power emanating from God.

The Hope of Israel went through several name changes and became the Bible Advocate and Herald of the Coming Kingdom in 1900. It is now simply know as the Bible Advocate.

The Church itself was originally called the Church of God (Adventist) (CGA) and then became the Church of God (Seventh Day) (CG7) in 1923.

The late Herbert W. Armstrong was a minister with them in the 1930s later claimed that CG7 represented the Sardis era of the Church of God.

Robert Coulter of CG7 is a church historian and I have had several discussions with him on various aspects of church history, particularly in the 19th and 20th centuries.  Based upon those discussions and additional research, because of concerns of CGA’s ‘Christology’ (many leaders of it according to Robert Coulter denied the deity of Jesus), I have not felt that the way some considered CGA organization as truly COG necessarily correct (though I believe it had some real COG members in it).

That being said, CG7 claims 300,000 are affiliated with it,  though when I visited a group that supposedly was in South America earlier this year, they were not aware of that affiliation.  But the group did keep the Sabbath, avoided unclean meats, and had other doctrines as far as I could tell consistent with CG7 teachings.

US President Obama discussed USA government surveillance today:

Saying the nation deserves a “vigorous public debate guided by our Constitution,” President Obama outlined plans Friday to improve privacy protections within National Security Agency surveillance programs and to better explain to the public how the NSA operates.

“It’s not enough for me as president to have confidence in these programs,” Obama told reporters at the White House. “The American people need to have confidence in them as well.”

While defending the programs in general — it’s “an important tool in our effort to disrupt terrorist plots” — Obama said he also understands concerns about possible abuses of privacy.

Opening a news conference with a prepared statement, Obama outlined “specific steps that we’re going to be taking very shortly to move the debate forward.”

They include:

— New talks with Congress to revise Section 215 of the Patriot Act, which governs NSA collections of telephone data. The goal would be to clarify the legal authority of the NSA, improve oversight of its actions and tighten restrictions on the use of information obtained by the Agency, all with the aim of improving public confidence in the programs.  http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2013/08/09/obama-privacy-nsa-surveillance/2635735/

WHITE HOUSE — U.S. President Barack Obama Friday announced new steps aimed at helping to reassure Americans about government electronic surveillance programs used to protect against terrorism. President Obama also discussed relations with Russia, and threats from al-Qaida and affiliated groups.

Obama announced steps he says will increase transparency and restore public trust in U.S. government surveillance programs.

The issue has been the subject of intense national debate since former intelligence analyst Edward Snowden released details of electronic methods used in the counterterrorism fight.

Obama said he will work with Congress to pursue “appropriate reforms,” including greater oversight and transparency, to a program that collects telephone records, which he again called an important tool to disrupt terrorist plots.

He also called for steps to give Americans more confidence in decisions of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, including measures to ensure that privacy and civil liberties concerns are taken into account.

While this could be a good first step, this still is not enough in my view.  I have had issues with the improperly named Patriot Act for years, and while I agree that it needs to be scaled back, I do not believe that the steps I have seen go far enough (it appears to me that the goal is to increase the government’s legal ability to spy essentially by getting more judicial approval of it, as opposed to actually reducing the espionage and data collection).

Yet, even if they did reverse a lot of the Patriot Act, the proverbial “cat is out of the bag.”  By this I mean that now that the USA has basically admitted what it has done, has shared with the Germans and other Europeans what it have been doing, etc., that this will make it easier for the Beast power to do the type of surveillance that the Bible warns about.

15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.  (Revelation 13:15-18)

The above will require surveillance, both the technology to collect it and the ability to interpret it.  What the USA has already done and agreed to do will help the Beast power be able to do that.

Israel’s government has decided to balk at a seven-year research deal that the European Union has proposed:

JERUSALEM (AP) — Israel would rather forgo hundreds of millions of dollars in EU research grants than accept an anti-settlement clause Europe wants written into any new partnership deal, Israel’s deputy foreign minister said Friday, a day after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convened top Cabinet ministers to stake out a position.

The deputy minister, Zeev Elkin, said Israel still hopes to soften the terms of Horizon 2020, a seven-year Europe-wide research grant program that begins in 2014 and has a budget of 80 billion euros.

If it joins, Israel would pay in about 600 million euros and likely receive more than 1 billion euros in grants. Israel successfully participated in the outgoing European grant program.

“We want to sign and we are ready to negotiate, but if the conditions are as they are today, which are unprecedented … we can’t sign,” Elkin told Israel Radio.

The new EU guidelines say any partnership agreements with Israel must state clearly they are not applicable to the West Bank, Gaza and east Jerusalem, lands Israel captured in 1967. The guidelines were introduced, in part, to show the EU’s growing dismay over Israeli settlement expansion on war-won land the Palestinians want for a state.  http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=210412512

The Israelis do not want to give up the territory that the Europeans or many others want them to.  However, since a poll a few years ago showed that the vast majority of Israelis want to join the European Union (see 81% of Israelis Want to Join the EU), because of that and likely other international pressures (which may come as the result of war and/or the destruction of Damascus per Isaiah 17:1), the time will come when Israel will accept some type of deal with the Europeans (which likely will have at least some American support).

The Bible itself tells of a time when the Europeans will confirm a seven-year deal that apparently involves Israel (watch also the YouTube video Can You Prove that the Beast to Come is European?).  What Europe is now stating seems to be some type of a prelude to it.

In the book of Daniel there is a prophecy related to the end times that states:

26 And the people of the prince who is to come
Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.
The end of it shall be with a flood,
And till the end of the war desolations are determined.
27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;  But in the middle of the week
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate (Daniel 9:26-27).

There are several reasons that this “prince” is referring to the leader of the developing European empire (see King of the North and Europa, the Beast, and the Book of Revelation). One is that it was the people of the Roman Empire of the 1st century that fulfilled the portion of Daniel 9:26 as they destroyed the city (Jerusalem) in 70 A.D. The European Union includes much of the land and peoples that were part of the ancient Roman Empire.  And it is the “prince” coming from that people that verse 27 is referring to. Thus, this prophecy tells us that a lower level European leader will officially start to rise up about 3 1/2 years before the great tribulation (and yes, according to Jesus, some “tribulation” does happen prior to the start of the Great Tribulation). Another is the fact that the “beast of the sea” (Revelation 13:1) fits with the beasts from the “great sea” (Daniel 7:2)–and that is the Mediterranean Sea according to the Old Testament–hence this is an empire like the old Roman one (for more details, please see Europa, the Beast, and the Book of Revelation).

This portion of scripture in Daniel seems to be discussing some type of peace deal that the Europeans will either propose or at least one from Europe will endorse.

The idea of this being a seven-year end-time deal was also understood by the Catholic theologian Hippolytus (died 235) in the third century:

…the iron and the clay shall be mingled together. Now Daniel will set forth this subject to us. For he says, “And one week will make a covenant with many, and it shall be that in the midst (half) of the week my sacrifice and oblation shall cease.” By one week, therefore, he meant the last week which is to be at the end of the whole world of which week the two prophets… will take up the half. For they will preach 1,260 days clothed in sackcloth, proclaiming repentance to the people and to all the nations…(Hippolytus. On Christ and Antichrist, Chapter 43. Online edition Copyright © 2008 by Kevin Knight).

While the leader in Daniel 9:27 is only referred to as a prince when he confirms the one week covenant, he probably will not be known as the “King” until shortly before he breaks the covenant at the mid-week point (most likely he will be considered simply one of several leaders negotiating a treaty when this deal in Daniel 9:27 is initially made). The two witnesses (who are prophets) rise up around the mid-point of the week. The iron and clay mingled together refers to a power (like Europe) that is not totally cohesive.

Although he has several events out of sequence, even the famed Protestant theologian John Walvoord understood the importance of the deal in Daniel 9:27:

The seven-year peace treaty with Israel; consummated seven years before the second coming of Christ (Dan. 9:27; Revelation 19:11-16). (Walvoord J. The Prophecy Knowledge Handbook. Victor Books, 1990, p. 551)

Why is this believed to be a peace deal? There are several reasons, but notice some other scriptures that discuss this leader:

25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand. (Daniel 8:25, KJV).

23 And after the league is made with him he shall act deceitfully, for he shall come up and become strong with a small number of people. 24 He shall enter peaceably, even into the richest places of the province; and he shall do what his fathers have not done, nor his forefathers: he shall disperse among them the plunder, spoil, and riches; and he shall devise his plans against the strongholds, but only for a time. (Daniel 11:23-24, NKJV)

So this leader gives people the impression that there will be “peace” and is involved in some type of deal. Term is translated as “peace” in Daniel 8:25 is from the Hebrew term shalvah and essentially means security. In other words, this leader will destroy “many” who are under the impression that they are secure because of some type of security arrangement. Such arrangements are now commonly referred to as peace deals. But as the prophesied one has not been confirmed, at least not publicly, the Great Tribulation would seem to be at least 3 1/2 years away (you may also wish to watch a YouTube video titled Can the Great Tribulation Begin in 2013?).

While the Israelis do not like what the Europeans are now proposing, the time will come that they will feel that they have no choice but to enter in a major deal involving the Europeans.  A covenant that Bible prophecy teaches that the Europeans will break (Daniel 9:27; 11:31; Matthew 24:15) and that Israel will come to regret.

We all should watch (Mark 13:37).

Nagasaki Nuclear Bomb (1945)

Japan is observing the 68th anniversary of the nuclear bombing of Nagasaki:

The Japanese city of Nagasaki has observed the 68th anniversary of the U.S. atomic bombing that reduced the city to rubble and ended WWII.

Nagasaki Mayor Tomihisa Taue criticized the Japanese government at a ceremony Friday for refusing to sign a statement rejecting the use of nuclear weapons. The statement was offered at an international disarmament meeting in April.

The United States dropped an atomic bomb on the city of Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, killing about 140,000 people. Days later, on August 9, Nagasaki was hit by a second nuclear bomb that killed about 70,000.

Hiroshima held an observance of the first bombing on Tuesday. Prime Minister Shinzo Abe told a crowd of about 50,000 that Japan has a unique responsibility to push for the end of nuclear weapons.  http://www.voanews.com/content/nagasaki-marks-68th-anniversary-of-us-atomic-bombing/1726475.html

There truly was massive devastation in both Nagasaki and Hiroshima.  A similar observance was held in Hiroshima on August 6th in remembrance of the nuclear bomb dropped there.

While the goal of many of the Japanese is to wipe out weapons of mass destruction, such as nuclear bombs, is certainly appealing, the reality is that Bible prophecy warns that more wars and destruction is coming (Daniel 11:39-44; Revelation 13:4) and that there will be false declarations (1 Thessalonians 5:3) and hopes for peace (Romans 3:10-18).

Furthermore regarding future destruction, notice the following:

33 I will scatter you among the nations and draw out a sword after you; your land shall be desolate and your cities waste (Leviticus 26:33).

And while God did allow the Assyrians to scatter the children of Israel in the Old Testament, they did not then destroy their cities. Thus, the “cities becoming waste” prophecy is still waiting to be fulfilled. This is likely to impact the descendants of Ephraim and Manasseh (the Anglo-nations). Nuclear and other high-tech weapons (as well as emp, electromagnetic pulse, bombs) are modern ways to make land desolate and cities waste.

Further notice:

23 ‘The whole land is brimstone, salt, and burning; it is not sown, nor does it bear, nor does any grass grow there, like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, which the Lord overthrew in His anger and His wrath.’ 24 All nations would say, ‘Why has the Lord done so to this land? What does the heat of this great anger mean?’ 25 Then people would say: ‘Because they have forsaken the covenant of the Lord God of their fathers, which He made with them when He brought them out of the land of Egypt; 26 for they went and served other gods and worshiped them, gods that they did not know and that He had not given to them. 27 Then the anger of the Lord was aroused against this land, to bring on it every curse that is written in this book. 28 And the Lord uprooted them from their land in anger, in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day.’ 29 “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law. (Deuteronomy 29:23-29).

The whole land being “brimstone, salt, and burning” is consistent with a nuclear type of attack.

Jesus said that the time was coming when “there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened’ (Matthew 24:21-22). That is consistent with a nuclear war and probably something worse.

However, the good news of the Kingdom of God is that Jesus will return and put a stop to the type of nuclear devastation that happened in Nagasaki 68 years ago and the devastation that will happen during the Great Tribulation:

29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. (Matthew 24:29-30)

6…And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of His government and peace
There will be no end,
Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom,
To order it and establish it with judgment and justice
From that time forward, even forever.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. (Isaiah 9:6-7)

1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:1-4)
