Long ago, in his booklet, The Seven Laws of Success, the late Herbert W. Armstrong wrote the following related to what he called the fourth law of success:

The All-important Fourth Law

A person may have chosen his goal. Having it may have aroused tremendous ambition to achieve it. He may have started out educating and training himself for its accomplishment, and he may even have good health and still make little or no progress toward its realization.

After all, success is accomplishment. It is DOING. They say any old dead fish can float downstream, but it takes a live one to swim up. An inactive person will not accomplish. Accomplishment is DOING.

Now comes an all-important law.

The fourth success-law, then, is DRIVE!

Half-hearted effort might carry one a little way toward his goal, but it will never get him far enough to reach it.

You will always find that the executive head of any growing, successful organization employs drive! He puts a constant prod on himself. He not only drives himself, he drives those under him, else they might lag, let down and stagnate.

He may feel drowsy, and hate to awaken and get up[ in the morning. But he refuses to give in to this impulse.

I remember the struggles I once had with this situation. It was during one of my “Idea-Man” tours as a magazine editorial representative at age 22. I was having quite a struggle with drowsiness. Yet I acquired the habit of sleepily answering the morning telephone call and promptly going back to bed and to sleep. Then I bought a “Baby Ben” alarm clock, which I carried with me. But I found myself arising to turn it off, then plunging back into bed. I was too drowsy to realize what I was doing. I was not sufficiently awake to employ willpower and force myself to stay up, get under the shower and become fully awake and alert. It had become habit.

I had to break the habit. I had to put a prod on myself. I needed an alarm clock that couldn’t be turned off until I was sufficiently awake to get going for the day.

So one night at the Hotel Patton in Chattanooga, Tennessee, I called a bellboy to my room. In those days the customary tip was a dime. A half dollar then had about the same effect that a $20 bill would have today. I laid a silver half-dollar on the dresser.

“Do you see that half-dollar, son?” I asked.

“Yes, Sir!” he answered, eyes sparkling in anticipation.

After ascertaining that he would be still on duty at 6:30 next morning, I said, “If you will pound on that door in the morning at 6:30, until I let you in, and then stay in this room and prevent me from getting back into bed until I am dressed, then you may have that half-dollar.”

I found those bell-boys would, for a half-dollar tip, even wrestle or fight with me to prevent my crawling back into bed. Thus I put a prod on myself that broke the morning snooze habit and got me up and going!

Often workmen never rise above whatever job they may have because they have no drive. They slow down, work slowly, poke around, sit down and rest as much as they can. In other words, they must have a boss over them to drive them, or they would probably starve. They would never become successful farmers—for a farmer, to succeed, must get up early and work late, and drive himself. That is one reason so many must work for others. They cannot rely on themselves—they must be driven by one of more energy and purpose.

Without energy, drive, constant propulsion, a person need never expect to become truly successful.

Despite various ones in the COGs not particularly interested in the goals of gospel proclamation or changing and building the type of character that God wants, the gospel proclamation need remains per Matthew 24:14; 28:19-20, as does the need for personal repentance.

Notice something that the Apostle Peter wrote:

2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

5 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. 8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.

10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; 11 for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (2 Peter 1:2-11)

In this Laodicean era, are you truly diligent? Are you so satisfied with where you are at that you do not feel that you need to change or not change much? Jesus warned against that type of complacency:

14 And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: 15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’–and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked– 18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. (Revelation 3:14-19).

Drive helps people live up to more of their potential and accomplish more, not just for personal gain or reward, but so they can give love more. Do you truly have the Philadelphian-era drive?

Europe’s satellite-navigation system, Galileo, remains offline.

The network suffered an outage on Friday due to what has been described as a “technical incident related to its ground infrastructure”.

Engineers worked around the clock over the weekend but there is no update yet on when the service will resume.

The problem means all receivers, such as the latest smartphone models, will not be picking up any useable timing or positional information.

These devices will be relying instead on the data coming from the American Global Positioning System (GPS).

And depending on the sat-nav chip they have installed, cell phones and other devices might also be making connections with the Russian (Glonass) and Chinese (Beidou) networks.

Galileo is still in a roll-out, or pilot phase, meaning it would not yet be expected to lead critical applications.

“People should remember that we are still in the ‘initial services’ phase; we’re not in full operation yet,” a spokesperson for the European GNSS Agency (GSA) told BBC News. https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-48985399

The EU is telling the UK that its Brexit decision has put it in, at best, a second class status regarding Galileo.

The UK wants to now get closer with the USA:

Earlier this year, the UK accused the EU of shutting it out of the project before it leaves the bloc in March 2019. The EU argued that rules prevent it from sharing sensitive security information beyond its borders.

“I have been clear from the outset that the UK will remain firmly committed to Europe’s collective security after Brexit,” May told reporters in Buenos Aires, reiterating a theme of future cooperation that she has highlighted throughout the messy divorce negations.

“But given the Commission’s decision to bar the UK from being fully involved in developing all aspects of Galileo it is only right that we find alternatives,” she continued.

The EU hopes Galileo will rival the US Global Positioning System (GPS) once it fully launches in 2020.

The UK will work with the United States to be able to keep using its GPS, May’s office said. Additionally, Britain will look into building its own GPS system to provide smartphone services, run energy networks and support military drones.

“I cannot let our armed services depend on a system that we cannot be sure of,” May said of the Galileo system. “That would not be in our national interest.”

But what about the money?

In August, as the argument over Galileo access was in full swing, Britain announced that it had set aside 92 million pounds for creating its own satellite system.

While the country had demanded that the EU repay the 1 billion pound investment it had made into Galileo if access to the system was denied, May made no mention of recouping costs in her Friday statement. https://www.dw.com/en/post-brexit-uk-wont-use-eu-galileo-satellite-system-british-pm-says/a-46533333

As far as Galileo goes, Galileo is essentially Europe’s project to replace the USA’s GPS system.

Late last year, the EU told the UK that it will block it from certain access because of Brexit (see UK to be “banned from the extra-secure elements” of Galileo).

Here is some information about the satellite project from the Galileo GNSS website:

Galileo GNSS website provides the latest news on Galileo, the Europe’s own Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), consisting of both the satellites in space and their associated ground infrastructure. …

The Galileo programme, named after the Italian astronomer Galileo Galilei, is currently being developed by the European Union (EU) and ESA. Since July 1st 2017 the GSA took responsibility for overseeing the operations and service provision, which will give Europe independence in satellite navigation. http://galileognss.eu/about/ accessed 12/16/17

Notice that this is a European project to give “Europe independence in satellite navigation.”

Independence from whom?

Well, the United States.

Furthermore, Galileo makes the USA partially dependent upon Europe for its satellite communications needs.

Europe hopes to have Galileo completely operational by 2020:

Because of Brexit, technical issues, etc., there may be delays–we will see.

The military of the USA plans to have partial dependence upon Galileo. This will give the Europeans a unique type of military power. This is something all should be concerned about.

In December, the European Space Agency activated its Galileo satellite constellation, which is used for global satellite navigation. It made the European Union the third international actor with its own global navigation satellite system, joining the ranks of the United States’ GPS and Russia’s GLONASS satellite navigation systems.

But unlike the US and Russian satellite navigation systems, the EU’s Galileo system provides unprecedented positioning accuracy and, more importantly, information security … the European Union announced its Galileo Commercial Service Implementing Decision. This memo essentially outlined how the first generation of Galileo satellites will offer commercial users highly accurate positioning and robust signal encryption for a fee. The power in Europe is starting to rise up.

Many may be unfamiliar with Galileo. Basically, it is intended by Europe to one-up the USA’s GPS system.

Galileo is intended to improve Europe’s economy and allow Europe to take steps independent of the USA in the event of conflict:

Galileo is intended to be an EU civilian GNSS that allows all users access to it. … A primary motivation for the Galileo project was the EU concern that the US could deny others access to GPS during political disagreements. Since Galileo was designed to provide the highest possible precision (greater than GPS) to anyone, the US was concerned that an enemy could use Galileo signals in military strikes against the US and its allies (some weapons like missiles use GNSS systems for guidance). …

An anonymous EU official claimed that the US officials implied that they might consider shooting down Galileo satellites in the event of a major conflict in which Galileo was used in attacks against American forces. (Galileo (satellite navigation). Wikipedia, viewed 08/23/14)

As far as it being civilian, Wikipedia and various others have left out certain details. Galileo is intended for military use, was originally funded for military use back in 2008 (see EU Approves Galileo For Military Use), and is intended to be able to have nuclear weapons applications:

France has never been pleased with the idea that its fully independent nuclear deterrent needs US help to make accurate counter-force type strikes.

Thus some people do tend to suggest that for most users Galileo is pretty much a nice-to-have, strictly optional thing. Only for the French military (or other non-US-aligned EU forces) is it truly desirable. The German CEO of one of the firms building it rashly said as much to US diplomats a while ago.

Galileo clearly has military applications.

And as far as Europe and the military goes, it has taken steps to develop its own military as reported on this COGwriter Church of God News (see PESCO: The making of a European Defence Union and ‘Bastille Day parade showcases European military cooperation’ and ‘PESCO is not about peace, it is about preparing for EU wars’ and With PESCO, EU entering a ‘New Era’: An era that will NOT end well for the USA, Canada, or the UK).

Europe’s Galileo satellite system plans initially had US critics as there were “early objections from the Americans who thought a rival system to GPS might be used to attack its armed forces” (Amos J. EU awards Galileo satellite-navigation contracts. BBC, Jan 7, 2010. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/8442090.stm). So when Galileo was first proposed, American leaders opposed it as they felt it could be used militarily against the USA.

Notice also a letter from the then U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz in which he was part of a campaign against Europe developing Galileo:

But this opposition was reversed by the Obama Administration.

This, as I reported at the time (see USA GPS and EU Galileo linking was expected), was dangerous, and remains so. But I expected it, and so warned about it in a book I wrote in 2009. Notice that page 85 of that book 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect states the following:

In 2013, the Europeans are planning on having their own global positioning system (GPS), called Galileo, available for military applications. This will allow the Europeans to track the world and attack others without relying on the U.S.A.’s GPS. This will be the first time in the 21^st century that Europeans will be able to have that type of independent military capability.

Furthermore, according to a 2009 report from the U.S. government, the U.S. Air Force may have to start relying on the European Galileo system (at least to a degree) beginning in 2013, as the U.S. GPS capabilities are expected to deteriorate by then (other problems are also appearing in the newer U.S. satellites). Because the Europeans will be able to control Galileo, they will also likely be capable of derailing certain sophisticated U.S. military applications. This will give the Europeans a unique defensive (as well as offensive) capability that no others on the planet will have.

When I wrote that in May of 2009, the U.S. Air Force denied that there was such a problem. Yet, in late July 2010, the USA did announce it would rely on Galileo for part of its military defense (see USA GPS and EU Galileo linking was expected). Galileo was partially operational in 2013 and is getting more operational as it moves forward.

It will only be a few years before the USA will not have the lead in this type of technology. And while some believe that the USA will overcome this, the reality is that the Europeans may decide to take advantage of their lead once they have it.

The Galileo project is absolute proof that Europe wants to function independently of the USA and UK and wants to be ahead of it technologically. Steps for this continue to take place.

Donald Trump’s sent out some tweets related to the situation with China:

….with the U.S., and wishes it had not broken the original deal in the first place. In the meantime, we are receiving Billions of Dollars in Tariffs from China, with possibly much more to come. These Tariffs are paid for by China devaluing & pumping, not by the U.S. taxpayer!

Yes, Donald Trump’s tariffs, sanctions, and threats have had an impact.

But China and much of the rest of the world is trying to figure out how to deal with them.

While China may well lose a lot from this, understand that Europe is benefiting from Donald Trump’s antics and tactics (e.g. ‘Trump Hints At New Trade War With India’).

Contrary to the views of many, the 21st century will not belong to China or the USA.

That is consistent with biblical prophecies in the Old and New Testaments (see WTO/TTIP and the Babylonian Beast).

The EU is making trade deals all over the globe and France is trying to implement a tax against US-dominated digital tech (see France escalating ‘trade war’ through a tax against mainly US-based digital tech; Europe wants countermeasures to Trump’s ‘sanctions warfare’).

The rest of the world is not sitting still for tariffs and sanctions. Nor will the US for certain taxes against its digital tech.

Speaking of US digital tech, Peter Thiel blasted Google for some of its practices related to China:

China wants to better itself economically and strengthen itself militarily. Apparently, Peter Thiel thinks he knows something related to China and Google.

Since Peter Thiel is a supporter of Donald Trump, he likely expects that Donald Trump will direct the FBI and/or the CIA and/or some other government entity (like the DOD’s cyberwarfare organization) to take steps related to Google and China.

As far as Donald Trump goes, he laid out his views on trade and China on his official presidential candidacy website several years ago:

One major unintended consequence  of Donald Trump’s trade policies has been, and will be, pushing China to work more closely with Europe on trade matters.

Already, China is willing to work with Europe related to the World Trade Organization, as the USA is upset with it.

Because of miscalculations with trade statements and policies from the USA, Europe is ending up with more leverage.

This is consistent with biblical prophecies that show Europe will dominate trade:

Both the USA and China are making miscalculations in this trade dispute and will face costs that they did not really expect.

Google, also, has made many miscalculations. One day, it will not exist as a US dominated entity.

Brexit remains in the news with both those in the UK and European Union frustrated with the process. A process that was to be finished by March 28, 2019, but now apparently 31 October 2019.

But did you know that the current Brexit is not Britain’s first departure from Europe? That first departure occurred in the 3rd century, from the old Roman Empire:

This isn’t the first time Britain has moved to quit a united Europe. That honor goes to the Roman province of Britannia in 286 A.D. The Brits broke away from Roman control and set up their own independent empire, which lasted a decade.

At that time, most of Europe was united under the Roman Empire, and Britain enjoyed all the benefits of free trade and a single currency, free movement of people, and of course Roman roads, sanitation, justice and security. So what happened to make these ancient Britons quit such a comfortable setup?

Well, it wasn’t so comfortable. Taxes were high and demands for labor were pretty intense. Roman Europe was also evolving into a proto-feudal society, which many poorer people found oppressive. …

Unlike the European Union leaders in Brussels, the emperor of Rome was determined, and able, to use force to re-unite Europe. But thanks largely to geography, Carausius and his successor were able to hold out for 10 years. Do I expect the Europeans to use force against Britain again?

Yes.

Now?

No.

It will take years before the power in Europe will decide that force against Britain is needed (for some biblical details see When Will the Great Tribulation Begin?). But it will happen and Britain will be no more.

An empire is intended for Europe. Notice the following:

The latest EU foreign policy document, titled Global Strategy, calls for an extended reach into new spheres as distant as the Middle East and sub-Saharan Africa.

It also outlined “gradual synchronisation and mutual adaptation” between different member states’ individual defence strategies.

Ukip’s defence spokesman Mike Hookem said: “The EU wants its own Empire as former Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso made clear when he was in charge.

As far as extensions into Africa and Asia go, the old Roman Empire extended into both the Near East and Africa. While biblically, we realize that the European Beast empire will dominate Europe, prophecies also show that it will end up controlling areas in the Middle East and Africa (cf. Daniel 11:40-43).

Consider that some believe that the European Union has been helpful for peace in a way similar to the old Roman Empire (bolding mine). Here are some comments from the late Charles Krauthammer:

The future leader of that European empire, called the King of the North in Daniel 11, will profess peace:

21 And in his place shall arise a vile person, to whom they will not give the honor of royalty; but he shall come in peaceably, and seize the kingdom by intrigue. 22 With the force of a flood they shall be swept away from before him and be broken, and also the prince of the covenant. 23 And after the league is made with him he shall act deceitfully, for he shall come up and become strong with a small number of people. 24 He shall enter peaceably, even into the richest places of the province; and he shall do what his fathers have not done, nor his forefathers: he shall disperse among them the plunder, spoil, and riches; and he shall devise his plans against the strongholds, but only for a time. (Daniel 11:21-24)

The Bible warns of a temporal peace deal (Daniel 9:27) as well as a time when people will proclaim peace before destruction comes:

3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. (1 Thessalonians 5:3)

The one called the King of the North in Daniel 11 (who is also called the Beast of the Sea in Revelation 13), will bring destruction:

36 “Then the king shall do according to his own will: he shall exalt and magnify himself above every god, shall speak blasphemies against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the wrath has been accomplished; for what has been determined shall be done. 37 He shall regard neither the God of his fathers nor the desire of women, nor regard any god; for he shall exalt himself above them all. 38 But in their place he shall honor a god of fortresses; and a god which his fathers did not know he shall honor with gold and silver, with precious stones and pleasant things. 39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain.

40 “At the time of the end the king of the South shall attack him; and the king of the North shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter the countries, overwhelm them, and pass through. 41 He shall also enter the Glorious Land, and many countries shall be overthrown; but these shall escape from his hand: Edom, Moab, and the prominent people of Ammon. 42 He shall stretch out his hand against the countries, and the land of Egypt shall not escape. 43 He shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt; also the Libyans and Ethiopians shall follow at his heels. (Daniel 11:36-43)

These warring efforts will destroy the USA (the power with the strongest fortresses in the 21st century), its closest allies like the UK, as well as give the European power territory in Africa and the Middle East. Similar to the old Roman Empire.

{Rafi Peretz} believes in (gay-to-straight) conversion therapy and he “did it himself” during an interview with channel 12.

That one statement sent the entire LGBT community, and their supporters into a wild frenzy.

The Psychologists Union penned a letter in response to Rabbi Peretz’s remarks saying that they are: “are in total contradiction to the psychological and social reality.”

Rafi Peretz essentially said is that if a gay man, wants to try to become straight on his own volition, he should be extended that right. Whether it works or not is beside the point.

Israel education minister defends ‘gay conversion therapy’

Israeli Education Minister Rafi Peretz has said he believes so-called “gay conversion therapy” can work, triggering widespread condemnation.

“I think it’s possible,” Mr Peretz, an Orthodox rabbi, told Israel’s Channel 12 TV channel. He added that he had “a very deep familiarity with the issue”.

PM Benjamin Netanyahu said such remarks were “unacceptable”. Other politicians and gay groups also voiced criticism.

“Gay conversion therapy” has been widely discredited around the world.

The practice attempts to change an individual’s sexual orientation through psychological, spiritual and sometimes physical means.

What did Mr Peretz say?

“I think that it is possible to convert [someone’s sexual orientation],” Mr Peretz said on Saturday.

“I can tell you that I have deep familiarity on the issue of education, and I have also done this.”

He described how he had acted when a gay person told him about his sexual inclinations.

“First of all, I embraced him. I said very warm things to him. I told him, ‘Let’s think. Let’s study. And let’s contemplate.’

‘Gay conversion therapy’ is denounced for ‘politically correct,’ not moral or scientifically valid reasons.

Now consider, if ‘gays’ have free will.

If so, are they allowed ‘freedom of choice’?

Well, if so, then they should be able to choose whether or not take try what is called ‘gay conversion therapy.’

It is wrong to imply that homosexuals cannot change.

The lie that they cannot is so pervasive that some governments have passed laws against ‘gay conversion therapy.’ Furthermore, places like Amazon have pulled some books off their platforms that teach that homosexuals can change:

In a very disturbing move, Amazon has removed the books of Dr. Joseph Nicolosi, the psychologist whom critics have dubbed “the father of conversion therapy.” In other words, for claiming that sexual orientation is not innate and immutable, and for claiming that change is possible, Dr. Nicolosi’s books must be banned.

This leads to the logical question: Will Amazon ban the Bible next? There is no hyperbole here.

After all, it is the Bible that condemns same-sex relationships and the Bible that speaks of those who once practiced homosexuality but do so no more (see 1 Corinthians 6:9-11). These people, today, would be known as “ex-gays.” And it was Dr. Nicolosi’s life work to help people with unwanted same-sex attractions.

Why, then, should Amazon ban his books but continue to sell the Bible, which provides the theological underpinnings for Dr. Nicolosi’s scientific work?

After all, gay critics of the Bible refer to the so-called “clobber passages,” referring to verses that have been used to speak against homosexual practice. Last year, I warned that some would consider banning the Bible and even made a video on that (watch: Banning the Bible?). Sadly, we are getting closer to a time when more perversely think that would be of benefit.

Now, as far as Amazon goes, I did find a book (other than the Bible) at Amazon that suggests that change is possible:

Anyway, I do not know much about that book, but what I do know is that those pushing the LGBTQ agenda do not want people to consider that they can change–even though deep-down they all should really know it is possible.

Sadly, many no longer want to believe scripture that shows that homosexuals can change, like the following:

9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,

10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-11)

Homosexuality is immoral. It is also immoral to tell people that they cannot seek help to change.

The Bible not only warns that homosexuality, lesbianism, and cross-dressing are wrong, it also condemns those who condone all forms of sexual immorality:

5 A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman’s garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the Lord your God. (Deuteronomy 22:5)

24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves,

25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature.

27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting;

29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers,

30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful;

But what about the often repeated claim that there is “no scientific basis” for gay conversion therapy?

Well, that is not true.

Consider the following:

Can homosexuals change? Is trying to change sexual orientation harmful? Should counselors work with clients with unwanted same-sex attractions, helping them live out their sexuality in a biblical way? There’s been a lot of debate in recent years in the mental health professions, the media and various state legislatures about these questions.

In the past, such help and change was widely considered both desirable and possible. More recently, however, an increasing number of mental health practitioners now believe that a homosexual orientation is an intrinsic part of a person’s identity that cannot – and should not – be changed. The mental health professions haven’t really discovered anything new about human sexuality or homosexuality; they are just more ideologically and politically driven. …

The American Psychiatric Association (APA) in 1998 issued a position statement “rebuking” practices that are broadly referred to as “reparative therapy” or “conversion therapy” for homosexuality. More recently, these practices have been labeled “sexual orientation change efforts” (SOCE). …

In 2007, the American Psychological Association set up a task force, composed exclusively of gay-identified activists and apologists, to study the issue. No practitioners of SOCE or experts on change from homosexuality were included in the task force. The group also threw out myriad accounts and reports of change from homosexuality and of help from SOCE, while at the same time using anecdotal statements of harm. Despite this stacked deck, the task force could not conclude in its 2009 report that SOCE was ineffective or inherently harmful. Nor did the group call for a ban on SOCE. They simply said more research was needed and cautioned therapists about their work.

Both groups claim to be scientifically driven, yet the APA states that homosexuality is a “normal variant of human sexuality.” And the American Psychological Association says that homosexuality is a “normal and positive variation of human sexual orientation.” But these views are really beyond the power of science to decide, entering into the worlds of philosophy, ethics and religion. Science can only tell us what is, not what is moral, good or ethical. Science also can’t describe for us God’s views about human sexuality.

Significantly, both groups seem to dismiss the fact that many individuals who experience same-sex attractions or engage in homosexual activity are dissatisfied with the situation and seek professional help to align their thoughts and behaviors with their convictions and faith. Many who experience homosexual temptations and impulses are responding to the Gospel message that unwanted same-sex attractions can be overcome. And as they seek pastoral and professional psychological counseling, they find that change and transformation are, indeed, possible. …

* There are no scientific studies that demonstrate that adolescents have been harmed through SOCE.

* The psychological literature confirms that permanent change away from a homosexual orientation is possible:

* In 2007, Drs. Stanton L. Jones and Mark A. Yarhouse published a study confirming that long-term change away from homosexual orientation can occur through religious mediation. At the end of three years, 67 percent of men and women who had undergone group discussions, individual counseling, journaling, Scripture reading and prayer either reported a change towards heterosexual orientation or were successfully continuing work towards that goal.^[8]

* In 2001, Dr. Robert Spitzer published a report showing that a majority of gay men and lesbians who sought “re-orientation” therapy were able to achieve fulfilling heterosexual relationships.^[9]

* While acknowledging that change in sexual orientation is both difficult to define and to measure, a bibliographic review of the literature from the past 100 years or more notes the wide variety of treatments that have claimed success.^[10]

* There is no valid or replicable research demonstrating the inevitability of homosexual behavior based on biological or genetic circumstances. In Romans 1, the Apostle Paul also warned about those that “suppress the truth in unrighteousness” (Romans 1:18).

Bans of homosexual conversion therapy, stating that there is no scientific basis, and claiming this as a fact are attempts to suppress the truth.

What about the claim from psychologists that such therapies are ineffective?

Is it possible to be an ex gay?

Stanton L. Jones and Mark A. Yarhouse present social science research on homosexuality designed to answer the questions:

• Can those who receive religiously-informed psychotherapy experience a change in their sexual orientation?
• Are such programs harmful to participants?

The results show that outcomes for this kind of religiously-informed psychotherapy are similar to outcomes of therapy for other psychological problems. Such programs do not appear to be harmful on average to individuals. https://www.ivpress.com/ex-gays accessed 07/03/18

So, if gay conversion therapy is about as effective as other psychological counseling, then should all psychological counseling be banned?

Banning counseling for those who wish to stop sinning is wrong. That is unethical and immoral. It is wrong to tell people that they cannot change. It is wrong to censor peoples’ abilities to help those that want help.

The Bible warns that more censorship is coming:

11 “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord God,
“That I will send a famine on the land,
Not a famine of bread,
Nor a thirst for water,
But of hearing the words of the Lord.
12 They shall wander from sea to sea,
And from north to east;
They shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the Lord,
But shall not find it. (Amos 8:11-12)

Do not think that the UK is the only place discounting what the Bible says.

In Canada, quoting parts of Romans 1 in certain ways is essentially banned (watch Canadian censoring of the Bible).

The Bible warns against the rise of despisers of good in the last days:

1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:

2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good,

4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,

5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!

6 For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts,

7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. (2 Timothy 3:1-7)

Those of us who hold to the idea that sexual relationships are only to be between a man married to a woman are considered to have “ugly narrow-mindedness” by supporters of the LGBTQ movement.

The work of God needs to be done now as Jesus said:

4 I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. (John 9:4)

The time to do the work is now, while we still can do it! We are seeing more and more signs that “the night is coming when no one can work.”

That is part of why we in the Continuing Church of God are preparing for the ‘short work’ (Romans 9:28) and the coming ‘famine of the word.’

Philadelphian Christians want to go through the doors that Christ opens to proclaim the Kingdom of God (2 Corinthians 2:12; 1 Corinthians 16:8-9; Colossians 4:2-4) and do the work.

Philadelphia means “love of the brethren.” It is LOVE to properly teach what the Bible teaches, even if some group calls that “ugly narrow-mindedness.” It is love to tell those with homosexual tendencies that they can change.

Jesus can help them. As the Apostle Paul taught:

13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13)

13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. (1 Corinthians 10:13)

Sadly, many do not want people to believe that is true. Jesus can help convert one from a life of sin to a life leading to righteousness.

We in the Continuing Church of God will teach and stand up for the truth (watch also the short introduction to our YouTube channel: ContinuingCOG Channel), despite realizing that the ‘famine of the word’ that the prophet Amos referred to is coming.

We must do the work and persevere to the end–despite views of those who do not truly respect the Bible.

Today is called Bastille Day in France. Here is something from a Catholic priest about it:

“Bastille Day” is the celebration of an inflated myth. Propagandists—and later romanticizers like Alexandre Dumas with his Man in the Iron Mask and the amiably pathetic Doctor Manette of Charles Dickens—made the storming of the prison the first thrust of the liberators.  The Bastille was far from a fetid torture chamber. It had a storied history. While at times it must not have been a congenial hospice, the number of prisoners dwindled under benign Louis XVI, making it the equivalent of an American “white collar” place of custody, with tapestries, paintings, a library, and at least one personal chef.

On July 14, 1789, there were only seven inmates, a couple of them mental patients. Ten days earlier, the Marquis de Sade, not a paragon of virtue, ran along the rampart of the prison shouting lies about inmates being murdered. Troops from 10 countries took part in the European Intervention Initiative (EI2) and paraded down the Champs-Elysees.

Heads of state and government from Belgium, Estonia, Finland, the Netherlands and Portugal also joined Merkel and Macron in the reviewing stand. …

On Saturday, Macron had issued a statement heralding a new national military space force command from September. The president said space has become a “true national security issue” due to increased spending and interest in the area from the United States, India, China and Russia.

“Never since the end of World War II has Europe been so important,” Macron said in a statement to mark July 14.

“The construction of a Europe of defense, in connection with the Atlantic alliance whose 70th anniversary we are celebrating, is a priority for France,” the president added.

The annual Bastille Day celebration in Paris this year was not just about showcasing France, but also military cooperation among European continues.

The flags of 10 countries of the European Intervention Initiative, a joint military pact created last year, led Sunday’s military parade down the Champs Elysees avenue in Paris.

In a message to the French people before the parade, President Emmanuel Macron highlighted the importance of France’s commitment to boost European security.

“Never since the end of the Second World War has Europe been so necessary. The construction of a Europe of defense, in connection with the Atlantic Alliance…is a priority for France. EU ARMY expert Sophia Besch has warned French President Emmanuel Macron has big goals he wishes to achieve with a European army.

European army expert and researcher for the Centre for European Reform Sophia Besch explained that French President Emmanuel Macron wishes to create a more unified Europe that does not rely so heavily on the US. During an interview with Express.co.uk, the researcher revealed Mr Macron wants Europe to be better prepared for European military threats and believes an EU army would allow him to achieve that. The EU army expert said: “I think for Emmanuel Macron the idea is meant to inspire, it is part of his pro-EU platform. …

“I think what he was trying to get at was that there should be a Europe that does more by itself rather than depending so heavily on the US.

In November of 2018, Mr Macron announced France’s need for a European army stemmed from the desire to protect themselves from China, Russia and the USA. …

Germany’s new Christian Democrat leader Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer has called for the creation of a European army amid growing global instability caused by sabre-rattling leaders in Russia, China and the US.

Ms Kramp-Karrenbauer’s conducted a speech in Brussels to focus on the idea of a “Europe of security” and she insisted an EU army was a “logical step” in pursuit of that goal.

Macron has recently called for the formation of a “true European army.”

The EI2 seeks some synergies with the Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO), which has already been adopted by the EU and provides the first framework for European defence cooperation.

According to the French proposal, some of the PESCO projects are meant to be integrated into the EI2.

PESCO and a Great European Army

In November 2018, French President Macron called for a “true European army” because of China, Russia, and the USA. Some others in Europe have echoed that sentiment. On November 9, 2018, US President Donald Trump called that an insult, but the next day said that the USA wanted “a very strong Europe.” Emmanuel Macron referred to Donald Trump as “my friend” and indicated a desire to strengthen Europe’s military spending. In December 2017, 25 European nations agreed to be part of a military alliance called PESCO. Europe also has NATO and IEI. Will Europe end up with “a great army”? Has Donald Trump’s announcement to withdraw from the 1987 Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty gotten some to say that Europe must rebel against the USA? Is the idea of a United States of Europe and a European army a “paranoid fantasy” or a biblical reality? Will the USA regret Europe becoming a stronger military power? Will the USA be betrayed by “friends” such as its continental European allies? Does the Bible teach any or all of this? Europe sees more and more of a need to take military steps.

The Bible shows that Europe will end up with “a great army” (Daniel 11:25).

Things are changing in the world and Europe is going to change.

Europe will reorganize, and will not be a democracy, but be ruled by a cruel dictator:

21 And in his place shall arise a vile person, to whom they will not give the honor of royalty; but he shall come in peaceably, and seize the kingdom by intrigue. (Daniel 11:21)

12 “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. (Revelation 17:12-13)

The Bible shows that the strongman European beast leader, also called the King of the North, will implement war and push blasphemy:

Europe will be a warring dictatorial power.

Europe will eventually be like what Adolf Hitler was working towards.

Human-trafficking is a growing problem:

Human Trafficking Outpaces Drugs, Guns As World’s Fastest Growing Criminal Industry

Massachusetts and Rhode Island are two of several states that have established task forces to confront what has become the fastest growing criminal industry in the world — human trafficking.

The smuggling of human beings for the purposes of forced labor and sexual exploitation outranks drug smuggling, and is tied with illegal arms sales, according to a United Nations study.

Task forces consisting of federal immigration officials, prosecutors, local police, the FBI and non-governmental organizations are pooling resources, knowledge and experience to deal with trafficking in southern New England. They are looking both worldwide and close to home for lessons that might help in better understanding the dimensions of the problem.

Child sex trafficking is a critical issue affecting more than one million children worldwide, many of whom are left to suffer in silence.

Some consider human trafficking as the world’s fastest-growing crime. Worldwide, about 20% of trafficking victims are children, with up to 100% in some regions.

Sex trafficking is the most common form of human trafficking. Globally, an estimated 4.8 million people are forced into sexual exploitation.

And this industry produces $99 billion in profits a year for traffickers.

Who is targeted?

Most child trafficking victims are girls and often between the ages of 12 to 16. Although, when children under 12 are the victim, boys have been found to outnumber girls in some samples.

While trafficking often implies “transporting” across borders, trafficking can very often be a domestic matter with little to no transportation. For example, one study found more than 80% of sex trafficking incidents in the United States involved US citizens.

A child can become a victim of commercial sexual exploitation when they’re vulnerable, and some of the risk factors include: substance abuse, poverty, exposure to family violence or criminality, running away or told to leave home, abuse and neglect (including sexual victimisation), involvement in delinquency, poor mental health, and involvement in child protective services. https://www.nationofchange.org/2019/07/13/jeffrey-epsteins-arrest-is-the-tip-of-the-iceberg-human-trafficking-is-the-worlds-fastest-growing-crime/

Homosexuality, pornography, and sexual immorality, combined with greed, fuels this situation.

While I have written against this in the past, this really is terrible and disturbing news. I pray that the victims of such trafficking will be able to cope with what they have been through so that they can move forward with their lives.

Child pornography is considered to be a factor that encourages pedophilia. And the internet is a place where this happens, despite its illegality. We have both an article (Pornography: A scourge on society) as well as a YouTube video speaking out against pornography, including child pornography (Pornography: Harmless Fun or a Scourge on Society?).

Of course, sex trafficking of children is not new. Notice something written against it decades ago:

There is still a flourishing black market for kiddie porn. “Those who know” can readily obtain the literature and movies they desire…

Dr. Peter Decourcy declared in a report to the American Psychological Association: “Children constitute the most oppressed minority group in this country. It is a minority group whose members are regularly humiliated, beaten, mutilated, killed or sexually abused and who have little effective legal recourse or police protection.” …

The cause of the sexual exploitation of children, then, lies close to home — in fact, in the home.

Recent studies into incest indicate that the magnitude of the problem is far greater than previously imagined. An article in the April issue of Ms. magazine asserted that one girl in every four in the United States experiences some form of sexual abuse before she reaches the age of 18. Three-fourths of the abusers are known by their victims. And about one-third of the incidents of abuse take place in the victim’s home. In at least ten percent of all reported cases, the victim is a boy, but in virtually all cases, boys and girls, the victimizer is male.

Compounding the tragedy of incest is the fact that, unlike an isolated incident of rape, incest is a crime that may continue for years. Its victims are trapped not only by brute force but by loyalties and dependencies.

Even when incest is not a factor, Dr. Avedis Panajian, director of psychological services at MacLaren Hall (the juvenile hall for Los Angeles County), believes that the family of a child who is involved in pornography is usually the cause of the problem. “What is needed is treatment of the child and his family,” he believes.

“Turn the Hearts of Fathers to Their Children”

In ancient times, the prophet Malachi equated a loving family relationship with human survival itself. “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes. And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the land with a curse [marginal reading: utter destruction]” (Mal. 4:5-6).

Modern civilization is most certainly under a curse today because so many parents have become alienated from their children. The curse is reflected in skyrocketing juvenile crime, the breakdown of school systems, jails filled to overflowing, and obscenities such as child pornography and teenage prostitution.

The time must come, will come, when, in the words of noted psychoanalyst Erik Erikson, “There will exist a well-informed, well-considered and yet fervent public conviction that the most deadly of all possible sins is the mutilation of a child’s spirit; for such mutilation undercuts the life principle of trust, without which every human act, may it feel ever so good, and seem ever so right, is prone to perversion by destructive forms of consciousness.” (Graunke DP. KIDDIE PORN Causes and Cures. Plain Truth, December 1977)

The problem has worsened since, even though there are now laws against child pornography. More and more children are being sold for purposes of sexual immorality.

Although some do not wish to hear about such matters, the Bible instructs God’s leaders to:

1 “Cry aloud, spare not;
Lift up your voice like a trumpet;
Tell My people their transgression,
And the house of Jacob their sins. (Isaiah 58:1)

The Apostle Paul prophesied that things would get worse in these last days:

1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 6 For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. (2 Timothy 3:1-7)

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them. (Romans 1:28-32)

The Bible condemns prostitution and other forms of sexual immorality, but as a society goes further and further away from biblical morality, it should not be surprised to see the rise of horrific crimes such as the sex-trafficking of children.

Do not think that this problem is about to be solved.

Human trafficking is prophesied to be part of end time Mystery Babylon’s trade:

12 merchandise of gold and silver, precious stones and pearls, fine linen and purple, silk and scarlet, every kind of citron wood, every kind of object of ivory, every kind of object of most precious wood, bronze, iron, and marble;

13 and cinnamon and incense, fragrant oil and frankincense, wine and oil, fine flour and wheat, cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, and bodies and souls of men. (Revelation 18:12-13)

Notice some other scriptures:

4 We pay for the water we drink, And our wood comes at a price. 5 They pursue at our heels; We labor and have no rest. 6 We have given our hand to the Egyptians And the Assyrians, to be satisfied with bread. 7 Our fathers sinned and are no more, But we bear their iniquities.  8 Servants rule over us; There is none to deliver us from their hand”. (Lamentations 5:4-8)

18 They tracked our steps
So that we could not walk in our streets.
Our end was near;
Our days were over,
For our end had come.

19 Our pursuers were swifter
Than the eagles of the heavens.
They pursued us on the mountains
And lay in wait for us in the wilderness. (Lamentations 4:18-19)

8 Israel is swallowed up; Now they are among the Gentiles
Like a vessel in which is no pleasure. 9 For they have gone up to Assyria (Hosea 8:8-9)

3 They shall not dwell in the Lord’s land, But Ephraim shall return to Egypt, And shall eat unclean things in Assyria…17 My God will cast them away, Because they did not obey Him; And they shall be wanderers among the nations. (Hosea 9:3,17)

Notice that some of the above scriptures mention Assyria (including eating unclean things there), which is who God will use to punish certain descendants of Israel, such as the U.S.A., U.K. etc. (cf. Isaiah 10:5-7). Assyria is a biblical reference to the end time German-dominated Beast power (see also Germany in Biblical and Catholic Prophecy).

The late Herbert W. Armstrong wrote:

The GREAT TRIBULATION, we shall fully then realize, is the time of “Jacob’s Trouble,” spoken of in Jeremiah 30:7. And Jacob’s name was named on Joseph’s sons, Ephraim and Manasseh (Gen. 48:16). At that time a third of the people in our nations will die, or shall have died, by famine and disease epidemics; another third will dies of the war–our cities being destroyed (Ezek. 6:6), and the remaining third will be carried to the land of our enemies as slaves (Ezek. 5:12). Armstrong, Herbert W. The Time We Are In, Now. Pastor General’s Report-Vol 1, No. 15, November 20, 1979, Page 2).

Jacob’s trouble is punishment inflicted on the descendants of Israel. And this includes Ephraim and Manasseh (cf. Genesis 48), which means the United Kingdom and the United States in the 21st century (see also Anglo – America in Prophecy & the Lost Tribes of Israel).

Sadly, prophecy is clear that there will be more human-trafficking until Jesus returns.

We all should follow Jesus’ admonition to pray for the Kingdom of God to come.

An advertisement re-expanding Mexico

A protest in Colorado ended up with the US flag replaced by the flag of Mexico:

Authorities in Colorado restored an American flag to its place Friday evening after protesters demonstrating outside a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility pulled down the star-spangled banner and flew the flag of Mexico in its place.

The protesters also removed a “Blue Lives Matter” flag, honoring law enforcement, spray-painted it with the words “Abolish ICE,” then raised the flag upside-down, on a pole next to the Mexican flag, according to local media.

Hundreds of protesters had gathered in Aurora, Colo., outside the federal facility that holds illegal immigrants, to protest ICE raids scheduled to begin Sunday in Denver and other major U.S. cities, FOX 31 Denver reported. …

A crowd estimated at more than 1,000 rallied to protest the possible federal roundups of some illegal immigrants outside the detention facility, where some protesters broke through a barrier and upended the flags, according to local news outlets.

A “Blue Lives Matter” flag is something related to the police/federal agents.

But I would like to mainly focus on the replacement of the US flag with that the Mexican flag.

Eleven years ago, I saw the advertisement for Absolut Vodka (shown at the beginning of this post) and posted:

I believe that the Absolut ad will get more and more Mexicans to think that Mexico deserves to get this land back.

And while some may think that this is only a fanciful dream, for decades I have believed that Mexico would join with the coming European Beast power and assist in invading the United States once the King of the North decides to make his move. And I believe that the King of the North will reward Mexico by giving it some (if not possibly, all) of the land that the USA gained through the sword from it. (Thiel B. Many in Mexico still want that land, including Colorado, back. It has be called the “reconquista” (re-conquering in English).

Apparently some in the US feel the same way.

A flag is a symbol of who controls the land.

Expect more issues to arise.

Various ones in Mexico have long considered that the USA is an enemy nation. Notice the following threat from a former President of Mexico:

“We’re coming back to the era of the ugly American. The gringo was hated all around the world, and this guy pretty soon he got the title. He is the ugly American, he is the hated gringo, because he’s attacking all of us, he’s offending all of us. Imagine, I mean that could take us to a war. Not to a trade war.“

While many people will consider the idea that Mexico would ever go to war against the USA preposterous, I have felt for decades that Mexico would support the final European Beast power with troops when it successfully attacks the USA (cf. Now this month, the Los Angeles Times  ran the following:

Yet Trump’s tactics, particularly if continued, are likely to have long-term consequences for the U.S.-Mexico relationship.

Yes, many Mexicans believe that the US is basically bullying Mexico.

Many in Mexico and elsewhere are upset about conditions that migrants are being housed in by the US government–this additional feeds longstanding hostilities.

Many Mexicans believe that the USA improperly took lands such as most or all of California, Arizona, Texas, New Mexico, Nevada, Colorado. They believe that they are entitled to receive that land back.

The Bible teaches that the European King of the North power will takeover the USA and divide its land for gain:

39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain (Daniel 11:39).(Daniel 11:39)

The “he” is the European King of the North and the power with the “strongest fortresses” in the 21st century is the USA (see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses).

This will happen as part of the time of Jacob’s trouble (Jeremiah 30:7), also known as the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:21). This will be when, as Jesus said, “the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled” (Luke 21:24). Mexico is a Gentile nation.

I expect that Mexico will end up with at least some of its claimed lands back this century.

Sound preposterous?

Consider something that happened long ago:

One hundred years ago today, the United States officially declared war on Germany and entered World War I. Days before the declaration of war, President Woodrow Wilson urged a special joint session of Congress to “formally accept the status of belligerent which has thus been thrust upon it.”

Wilson had not wanted to do this. Indeed, he’d won reelection the previous fall as the antiwar candidate, running on the popular slogans “He kept us out of war” and “America First”—appeals to voters who wanted to stay out of a major European war and avoid a simmering conflict with Mexico.

But two events would change everything, and force Americans to accept that they could no longer avoid what had become a global conflict. The first was Germany’s resumption of unrestricted submarine warfare on passenger and merchant ships. The second was the “Zimmerman telegraph,” which revealed Germany’s attempt to forge a secret alliance with Mexico against the United States, promising to help Mexico recover territory it had ceded to the United States following the Mexican-American War in 1848.

Both of these developments, like much of World War I, seem exotic and unimaginable today. A major military power attacking passenger ships with submarines? Mexico invading Texas? It’s easy to think we’ll never face such scenarios again, and we probably won’t face those particular scenarios. But as distant and strange as the First World War seems to us today, the reasons Wilson changed course and declared war hold vital relevance to our national life in the twenty-first century, and we ignore or misunderstand those reasons to our peril. https://thefederalist.com/2017/04/06/americas-reasons-entering-wwi-resonate-today/

I do believe that Mexico will be willing to cooperate with a German-dominated (also Gentile) power in Europe to invade the USA.

Consider something that I warned about in 2008:

In the spirit of accommodation and personal interest, many of the “standards” of the European Union will be adopted by the USA, Canada and Mexico, as well as by nearly all of the countries of the world. The Arab nations will most likely agree with many of the standards as they seem to be destined to form a brief end-time alliance with the Europeans (The Arab World In the Bible, History, and Prophecy).

However, over time, it will become increasingly clear that the British will be in more agreement with the Canadians and Americans and that the European Union in more agreement with the Mexicans than the EU will have with the English-speaking nations.

Trade wars and/or serious trade disputes will most likely arise.

The Brits will ultimately decide that they are more supportive of the Americans and Canadians. They will be so much more supportive that they will end up in a trading agreement with them (with the Australians and New Zealanders probably also becoming part of that agreement).

The EU will decide that Mexico and the rest of Latin America are in more agreement with it and thus make some type of serious trading agreement with most (or all) of Latin America. The Vatican will also have influence here as Latin America is highly Roman Catholic.

The Europeans and Americans, however, will continue to have military agreements, though many will be tense about them.

Eventually, the Europeans (possibly under the cover of pretending that they are involved in a “NATO-like” exercise in North America) will eventually launch a surprise attack against the United States in fulfillment of both biblical and Catholic prophecies. Do not think it cannot happen. Mexico is pivoting towards Europe. Politico had a telling headline:

Changes are happening.

As far as Europe and Latin America goes, notice something that happened a couple of weeks ago:

EU, South American countries agree on draft free trade treaty

The European Union and the Mercosur bloc of four South American countries — Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay — have agreed to draft wording for a free-trade deal after almost 20 years of talks, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said Friday.

Mexico and Latin America are moving more towards Europe.

Biblical prophesies involving trade in Ezekiel 27:12-24 and Revelation 18 point to that.

Donald Trump and other government officials do not seem to appreciate or understand the biblical prophecies related to the USA, Europe, or Latin America.

While in the short-run, the USA can pressure Mexico in many ways, it should be clear to all that the USA is seriously risking turning Mexico from an ally into an enemy. Mexico and others parts of Latin America are looking to Europe and many in those areas are displeased with various statements and actions from Donald Trump.

Decades ago, I concluded that Mexico would one-day help the Europeans against the USA.

That day is getting closer.

The flag removal is simply confirmation that many support the idea of parts of the USA being returned to Mexico.

And, yes, it will happen.

Will Mexico Regain USA Territories?

On July 12, 2019, a USA flag was taken down by demonstrators and a Mexican flag was raised in Colorado. Absolut Vodka had an advertisement displaying that places like California, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, and Colorado should be part of Mexico again. Some have called for a ‘reconquista’–a returning to Mexico lands that it ceded to the USA in 1848. Last century the German government had a plan to work with Mexico to give it back lands that it lost if Mexico would assist it against the USA in World War I. Could something like that happen in the 21st century? Does Bible prophecy show that a Germanic Beast leader will invade the USA and divide its lands for gain? Could Mexico benefit from this? Have statements and actions by US President Donald Trump gotten any leaders in Mexico to contemplate more than a trade war, but a real war? What about trade with the European Union? Will Mexico gain territories that the USA now controls? Dr. Thiel addresses these questions and more.
