A few days ago, the MSM and their political allies in the Democratic Party celebrated the release of a “compromising” photo appearing to show former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani with his hands down his pants. Giuliani claimed that he was merely retucking in his shirt after removing some recording equipment, but nevertheless, the whole news cycle played out in full view of the public as social media giants like Twitter and Facebook looked the other way, allowing the photo, and links to news stories covering the controversy (orchestrated by “Borat” prankster Sasha Baron Cohen) to circulate widely.

However, just days later, a Chinese digital media company has published footage showing a man who looks identical to Hunter Biden engaging in a sex fetish act with an unidentifiable woman (along with a photo purporting to show what appears to be the same man engaging in sex with a Ukrainian prostitute). But instead of allowing discussion and links to the video to circulate, Twitter has scrubbed all links and photos related to the video and story, and is suspending accounts that appear to be trying to spread the video or screenshots from the footage.

Some background: Late Saturday afternoon, a mysterious link surfaced on Reddit purporting to be the vaunted Hunter Biden sex tape – or at least, one of the Hunter Biden sex tapes (whispers about more footage have so far gone unsubstantiated).

In it, a naked Hunter Biden can be seen, smoking crack, and laying with an unidentified woman, possibly a prostitute. The woman’s face is blurred out, making it impossible to tell whether or not she appeared to be underage. …

How corrupt was the Obama-Biden administration? How corrupt will a Biden-Harris administration be? Last week, the New York Post published a bombshell revelation that answers both of these burning questions.

It has to do with the Biden vice presidency, piles of cash, and a laptop computer in a Delaware repair shop. And, especially if radical leftists seize power, it has to do with you.

The New York Post revelation about a massive pay-for-play scandal during the Obama years continues to make (some) headlines. It involves Hunter Biden, son of Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, and what he did while his father was in power. More importantly, it involves what Joe Biden himself did while he was in power.

The story starts during the administration of President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden. And it revolves around, of all places, Ukraine.

Yes, the same Ukraine that became a household word a few months ago. The same place that news companies plastered all over their headlines, nonstop. The same place that big technology executives allowed users to spread what was originally classified information (a presidential phone call) about. The same place—and the same issue of corruption—that Democrats were so concerned over that they solemnly impeached President Donald Trump. It even gets back to the same individuals: alleged corruption of Joe Biden and Hunter Biden.

But this time around, the reaction by Obama, Biden, Democrats, news executives and Big Tech executives is much different. After all, there is a presidential election in less than two weeks, and they want a Democrat as president, no matter what it takes. …

The mass censoring is made even more egregious and hypocritical by the fact that tech executives from Apple, Amazon, Facebook and Google (but not Twitter) came before Congress just this summer and pledged under oath, if unconvincingly, that they would not manipulate their platforms for the benefit of the Democratic Party. …

The Obama-Biden administration could be influenced to put other interests, such as money, ahead of implementing good policy in Ukraine. But the administration, the Democratic Party and the media said that although this looked awkward, it was OK, and people needed to focus their attention on other things. When asked about it, Vice President Biden began his first of many claims that “I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings.” The denials continue up to today, even after the contents of that repair shop laptop have been revealed.

That laptop belonged to Hunter Biden. And it shows otherwise. Hunter Biden was asked by Burisma directly to “use your influence” and set up an opportunity to “meet your father.”

“We urgently need your advice on how you could use your influence to convey a message/signal, etc, to stop what we consider to be politically motivated actions.” That is an e-mail on Hunter Biden’s laptop from Vadym Pozharskyi, an adviser to Burisma’s board, to Hunter and Devon Archer. It’s dated May 12, 2014, three months after Hunter Biden was hired (and had presumably already received $249,000 in pay). Its subject is “Urgent issue.” Pozharskyi said that government officials had quietly tried to get money from “N.Z.,” presumably Burisma founder Mykola (Nicholas) Zlochvsky, but he had refused, and the government was now pressuring Burisma with “pretrial proceedings.” Hunter Biden responded by asking about “the formal (if any) accusations being made against Burisma” and writing, “Who is ultimately behind these attacks on the company? Who in the current interim government could put an end to such attacks?”

The New York Post wrote: “The exchange came the same day that Burisma announced it had expanded its board of directors by adding Hunter Biden, who was put in charge of its ‘legal unit and will provide support for the company among international organizations,’ according to a news release that’s since been scrubbed from Burisma’s website.

“Hunter Biden actually joined the board in April 2014, according to multiple reports.

“His lawyer said last year that Hunter was ‘not a member of the management team,’ adding, ‘At no time was Hunter in charge of the company’s legal affairs.’”

So, did Hunter Biden actually “use his influence”?

Big Tech, led by Facebook and Twitter, have officially interfered in the election — and they’ve unequivocally proclaimed they are publishers, not platforms. …

Twitter and Facebook Censor News They Don’t Like

Both tech giants on Wednesday, just 20 days before the election, censored a story from the New York Post revealing that Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden lied about lacking knowledge of his son Hunter’s Ukrainian business interests.

After repeatedly insisting he didn’t know about his son’s “oversees business dealings,” the New York Post obtained emails that demonstrate the opposite. The emails, which reportedly originated from a computer left at a Delaware repair shop, show not only that Joe Biden knew of his son’s business entanglement. They also reveal that Hunter introduced his father, then the vice president under Barack Obama, to Vadym Pozharskyi, a Burisma adviser, less than a year before Joe Biden lobbied for the firing of a prosecutor who had investigated the energy company.

The computer hard drive reportedly included other unpalatable content, such as “a raunchy, 12-minute video that appears to show Hunter, who’s admitted struggling with addiction problems, smoking crack while engaged in a sex act with an unidentified woman, as well as numerous other sexually explicit images.” None of this information is great for the Democratic presidential nominee.

Partisan tech giants couldn’t let this story get out, with Facebook announcing it would censor the article and Twitter banning it from its website, labeling the link as “potentially harmful.”

While the reporting might “harm” Biden’s election chances, it certainly doesn’t promote violence or hate or result in imminent lawless action — not even close. …

The censorship happened because big tech is afraid that this scandal shows that Joe Biden was involved with a Ukrainian firm to get a Ukrainian attorney general fired. This is a further embarrassment to them because Donald Trump’s call for an investigation, that instead of happening as it should have, led to impeachment against him. The media, tended to support the impeachment, is afraid people will learn that Donald’s Trump’s concerns on that seemingly had validity.

Now pointing out the hypocrisy on this scandal is NOT an endorsement of Donald Trump. Whether one prefers Donald Trump or Joe Biden, the lessor of two evils is still evil (watch also Biden, Trump, and the Bible).

But the point to make here is that the major media along with big tech now functions more as political advocates than journalists on many topics these days.

The media, along with big tech, are displaying their hypocrisy.

This will not end well.

The truth does matter and hypocrisy is destructive.

The Bible warns:

5 O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation.

6 I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets. (Isaiah 10:5-6, KJV)

Yes, the USA is “an hypocritical nation” and will one day be no more (see Anglo – America in Prophecy & the Lost Tribes of Israel). The hypocritical ‘journalism’ and ‘big tech’ censorship is hurting the USA.

Yes, so are statements from Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

Consider that the press in the USA used to claim it was the “fourth branch” of the government, stemming from its claim that the media’s responsibility to inform the populace was essential to the healthy functioning of democracy.

That simply is not happening in the USA in 2020–at least not in a fully truthful or unbiased way.

Did you know that the Bible warns about those who do not want to know about the truth?

Many who do not trust the Bible, but instead trust in oppression and perversity, want ‘smooth things.’ Many want to love and believe a lie–and that is further condemned in Revelation 22:15.

The practice, which is currently regulated across the European Union, has grown increasingly unpopular over the years. Critics say switching clocks disrupts biorhythms in humans and livestock alike, leading to health problems.

In 2018, an EU poll indicated overwhelming support for ending daylight saving time altogether. A year later, the European Parliament voted to abolish it by 2021.

As indicated here earlier this week (see ‘Trump Announces Sudan’s Removal From Terror List, Paving Way For Israel Peace Deal’), Sudan has agreed to normalize relations with Israel according to the following:

U.S. President Donald Trump announced Friday that Sudan and Israel had agreed to normalize relations, and he touted it as his foreign policy achievement in the Middle East ahead of the November 3 U.S. presidential election.

“The State of Israel and the Republic of Sudan have agreed to make peace,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office. “This will be the third country where we’re doing this, and we have many, many more coming.”

Sudan is the third Arab country in recent months to establish ties with Israel, after Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates signed the Abraham Accords in September.

The White House released a statement saying that “in the coming weeks, the two countries will begin negotiations on cooperation agreements in agriculture, economy, trade, aviation, migration issues, and other areas of mutual benefit.”

During the announcement, Trump was joined on the phone by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Sudanese Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok and Sudanese Chairman of the Sovereignty Council Abdel Fattah al-Burhan.

Netanyahu hailed the announcement, calling it “another dramatic breakthrough for peace.”

While Trump insisted that the Palestinians would eventually join in recognizing Israel, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’ office released a statement condemning “normalization of ties with the state of the Israeli occupation, which occupies the land of Palestine.”

Sudan and Palestinian cause

Sudan was a longtime ally of the Palestinian cause under President Omar al-Bashir, who was toppled in 2019 after 30 years in power.

Currently facing an economic crisis, the transitional government of Sudan under Abdalla Hamdok has welcomed the trade and investment incentives that come as part of the normalization deal with Israel. A joint statement by the three countries included a promise by the U.S. to secure international debt relief for Khartoum. …

Changing dynamic toward Iran

Trump said that other nations, including Saudi Arabia, would eventually establish relations with Israel, perhaps even including Iran.

“I think, ultimately, Iran maybe will become a member of this whole thing, if you want to really know the truth,” Trump said. “And ultimately, they’ll all be one unified family. It’ll be an amazing thing, probably has never happened in the Middle East.”

Iran’s foreign ministry on Saturday described a U.S.-brokered Sudan-Israel deal to normalise ties as “phoney” and accused Khartoum of paying a ransom in return for Washington removing it from a list of state sponsors of terrorism.

The deal agreed on Friday marked the third Arab government after the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain to set aside hostilities with Israel in the last two months.

“Pay enough ransom, close your eyes to the crimes against Palestinians, then you’ll be taken off the so-called ‘terrorism’ blacklist,” the ministry tweeted in English. “Obviously, the list is as phoney as the U.S. fight against terrorism. Iran also denounced Bahrain (see Bahrain king’s peace with Israel opposed by Palestinians, Iranians, and Bahrain opposition) and the UAE (see ‘The Prophetic Implications of the Israel-UAE Agreement’) for agreeing to more normal relations with Israel. So, Iran’s condemnation was not unexpected.

But there has been an unusual situation that popped up because of comments from US President Donald Trump.

ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia (AP) — Ethiopia on Saturday denounced “belligerent threats” over the huge dam it has nearly completed on the Blue Nile River, a day after U.S. President Donald Trump said downstream Egypt will “blow up” the project it has called an existential threat. …

Trump made the comment while announcing that Sudan would start to normalize ties with Israel. Downstream Sudan is a party to the talks with Ethiopia and Egypt over the disputed dam. “They (Egypt) will end up blowing up the dam,” Trump said. “And I said it and I say it loud and clear … they’ll blow up that dam. And they have to do something.”

The U.S. president earlier this year told the State Department to suspend millions of dollars in aid to Ethiopia because of the dam dispute, angering Ethiopians who had accused the U.S. of being biased during its earlier efforts to broker a deal on the project among Ethiopia, Egypt and Sudan. Ethiopia walked away from those talks.

“They will never see that money unless they adhere to that agreement,” Trump said Friday.

“Occasional statements of belligerent threats to have Ethiopia succumb to unfair terms still abound,” Ethiopia’s statement said Saturday. “These threats and affronts to Ethiopian sovereignty are misguided, unproductive, and clear violations of international law.”

It added: “Ethiopia will not cave in to aggressions of any kind.”

There was no comment from the Egyptian government on Trump’s remarks, but pro-government media covered them extensively.

Egypt has repeatedly said it wants to settle the dispute through diplomatic means, but it has said it would use “all available means” to defend the interests of its people.

Ethiopia celebrated the first filling of the dam in August, citing heavy rains, to the dismay of Egypt. Ethiopia later banned flights over the dam amid concerns over possible military action by Egypt.

Ethiopia’s foreign minister summoned the U.S. ambassador to seek clarification, saying “the incitement of war between Ethiopia and Egypt from a sitting U.S. president neither reflects the longstanding partnership and strategic alliance between Ethiopia and the United States nor is acceptable in international law governing interstate relations,” a statement said. …

Trump made the comment while announcing that Sudan would start to normalize ties with Israel. Ethiopia says the colossal dam could help it become a major power exporter. Egypt depends on the Nile to supply its farmers and a booming population of 100 million with fresh water.

Negotiators have said key questions remain about how much water Ethiopia will release downstream if a multi-year drought occurs and how the countries will resolve any future disputes. Ethiopia rejects binding arbitration at the final stage.

A military strike on the dam would be disastrous, one water expert warned. The dam already has more than 4.9 billion cubic meters of water in its reservoir,” Abebe Yirga told The Associated Press. “It will affect thousands of people along the way if this huge amount of water gushes out of the dam.”

The Blue Nile joins the White Nile in Sudan to become the Nile, and about 85% of the river’s flow originates from Ethiopia. Hopefully, there will be no military action against Ethiopia.

Ethiopia has a lot of poverty and being able to produce more of its own electricity as well as to be able to sell some of it should help the people economically.

However, hopefully, Ethiopia will not cause problems with Egypt or others because of its water plans.

And that is true. The USA and UK are fading, and scripture points to each of them losing their military power in Daniel 11:39 and Isaiah 17:3 respectively.

Whereas other scriptures show that Russia will lead a military alliance that would essentially have to include China.

Russian president Vladimir Putin has said a military alliance between Russia and China could be forged in the future.

An alliance between the two nations with the second and third biggest militaries in the world would be far more powerful than the US Army in a number of key areas.

Putin’s statement on Thursday signalled deepening ties between Moscow and Beijing amid growing tensions in their relations with the United States.

Asked during a video conference with international foreign policy experts Thursday whether a military union between Moscow and Beijing was possible, Putin replied that ‘we don’t need it, but, theoretically, it’s quite possible to imagine it.’

Russia and China have hailed their ‘strategic partnership,’ but so far rejected talks about the possibility of forming a military alliance. …

Putin pointed to the war games that the armed forces of China and Russia held as a signal of the countries’ burgeoning military cooperation.

Putin also noted that Russia has shared sensitive military technologies that helped significantly boost China’s military potential, but didn’t mention any specifics, saying the information was sensitive.

‘Without any doubt, our cooperation with China is bolstering the defense capability of China’s army,’ he said, adding that the future could see even closer military ties between the two countries.

The Bible points to military cooperation between Russia, China, and others in Asia.

The Bible shows that Russia would lead such an alliance militarily. An alliance pointing to the gathering in Armageddon.

China, itself, is also taking steps that are also aligning with Armageddon–and not just military ones.

Consider the Chinese Belt & Road Initiative (BRI, also known as the ‘Silk Road Project’). It has long been intended to give China more trade and influence throughout Asia (including Russia), as well as with Europe and Africa. The initiative was unveiled by Xi Jinping in September and October 2013 during visits to Kazakhstan and Indonesia.

It has long been my view that this BRI project will result in putting infrastructure in place that some will use related to the prophesied gathering at Armageddon.

Notice that the Bible tells of a time when the ‘kings of the sunrise/east’ will travel on land and will end up in Armageddon:

12 Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared. 13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

15 “Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”

16 And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon. (Revelation 16:12-16)

The ‘kings of the east’ are to come across the Euphrates river, which will at least partially dry up according to prophecy. The modern “Silk Road” is expected to head near the river Euphrates. And while I have not seen anything that shows that the Belt and Road Initiative is specifically planned to go all the way to Tel Megiddo (Armageddon), there are a couple of highways in the area of Armageddon already that I have personally seen. So, it would seem that the proposed Silk Road project will help build a major road from the far east through central Asia and into the Middle East that can be used to at least get close to Armageddon, and then there are other roads that connect to it.

Russia and China are clearly among the “kings of the east.” You really cannot get “east” of Russia and its ‘east-ness’ extends all the way into ‘the west.’

The “kings of the east” will have to somehow cooperate militarily for this to happen. And we are seeing two of the biggest “kings of the east”–Russia with the most land and China with the most people–increase their cooperation.

Is China paving roads to Armageddon?

China is working on something known as the ‘Silk Road’ project or the “One Belt, One Road” initiative. NBC reports that China intends to spend one trillion dollars to build roads, bridges, railroads, and maritime facilities to reach from China to Europe and China to the Middle East. Over 60 nations, including Russia, are involved with this. Could this Silk Road project possibly produce thoroughfares that could be used by troops that will amass at Armageddon? Dr. Thiel discusses this project and some of its potential prophetic ramifications in this video.

We could well see the gathering at Armageddon by the time the Chinese ‘roads’ (some are actually shipping ports) are finished. They could be used to transport soldiers and military equipment to gather at Armageddon.

Could any of this affect the soon coming European Beast power?

Yes.

In addition to the Book of Revelation, the Books of Daniel and Jeremiah have prophecies that are discussing Asia and the European Beast power.

Notice from the Book of Daniel notice what happens to the European Beast power, referred to as the King of the North below:

40 “At the time of the end the king of the South shall attack him; and the king of the North shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter the countries, overwhelm them, and pass through. … 44 But news from the east and the north shall trouble him; therefore he shall go out with great fury to destroy and annihilate many. 45 And he shall plant the tents of his palace between the seas and the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and no one will help him (Daniel 11:40,44-45).

Notice that the end time King of the North (the European Empire) will overwhelm the King of the South (a Moslem empire), but that those from the east and the north shall later trouble the King of the North. This appears to be referring to China and Russia, and other Asian nations. Russia is the only major power that could be considered north of Europe.  And, of course, nearly all of Asia is east of Europe.

And notice that Daniel shows they will help cause the King of the North to come to his end.

Now, contrary to the claims of Protestants such as Hal Lindsey, Russia is NOT the King of the North. There is NO major power that is north or east of Russia, so geography (as well as other prophetic specifics) rule it out as the King of the North.

There are also prophecies in Jeremiah such as the following which show Europe being defeated by a power led by Russia:

50:41 “Behold, a people shall come from the north,
And a great nation and many kings
Shall be raised up from the ends of the earth.
42 They shall hold the bow and the lance;
They are cruel and shall not show mercy.
Their voice shall roar like the sea;
They shall ride on horses,
Set in array, like a man for the battle,
Against you, O daughter of Babylon.

43 “The king of Babylon has heard the report about them,
And his hands grow feeble;
Anguish has taken hold of him,
Pangs as of a woman in childbirth…”(Jeremiah 50:41-43).

The European empire is the “daughter of Babylon” and is to be destroyed by a northern (Russian led) force that cooperates with nations in the East.

A northern confederation (that appears to be led by Russia and probably includes the far north and far east/Pacific coast portion of Asia) will destroy the European Babylon.

The following other passages in Jeremiah seem also to apply:

8 “Move from the midst of Babylon,
Go out of the land of the Chaldeans;
And be like the rams before the flocks.

9 For behold, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon
An assembly of great nations from the north country,
And they shall array themselves against her;
From there she shall be captured.
Their arrows shall be like those of an expert warrior;
None shall return in vain. (Jeremiah 50:8-9)

Notice also that the Bible shows Babylon tied together with birth pains/pangs to a group from a far country:

1 The burden against Babylon which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw.

2 “Lift up a banner on the high mountain, Raise your voice to them; Wave your hand, that they may enter the gates of the nobles. 3 I have commanded My sanctified ones; I have also called My mighty ones for My anger–Those who rejoice in My exaltation.” 4 The noise of a multitude in the mountains, Like that of many people! A tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together! The LORD of hosts musters The army for battle. 5 They come from a far country, From the end of heaven–The LORD and His weapons of indignation, To destroy the whole land. 6 Wail, for the day of the LORD is at hand! It will come as destruction from the Almighty. 7 Therefore all hands will be limp, Every man’s heart will melt, 8 And they will be afraid. Pangs and sorrows will take hold of them; They will be in pain as a woman in childbirth; They will be amazed at one another; Their faces will be like flames (Isaiah 13:1-8).

Thus, both the accounts in Jeremiah and Isaiah seem related to the same invaders. This is referring to an end time confederation that has a distance to travel–apparently a type of union of powers from the east including Russia, who is also the major power of the far north.

Furthermore, a “far country” also seems to be tied to the powers of the east elsewhere in Isaiah:

11 Calling a bird of prey from the east, The man who executes My counsel, from a far country. Indeed I have spoken it; I will also bring it to pass. I have purposed it; I will also do it. (Isaiah 46:11)

Those called Medes are also shown to destroy the final Babylon according to both Isaiah and Jeremiah:

1 The burden against Babylon which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw…

17 “Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them,
Who will not regard silver;
And as for gold, they will not delight in it.
18 Also their bows will dash the young men to pieces,
And they will have no pity on the fruit of the womb;
Their eye will not spare children.
19 And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms,
The beauty of the Chaldeans’ pride,
Will be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. (Isaiah 13:1, 17-19)

11 Make the arrows bright!
Gather the shields!
The Lord has raised up the spirit of the kings of the Medes.
For His plan is against Babylon to destroy it,
Because it is the vengeance of the Lord,
The vengeance for His temple. (Jeremiah 51:11)

The fact that there are multiple kings of the Medes indicates that multiple powers involved in this end time confederation represent multiple governments. Perhaps, such as Russia, Belarus, Crimea, etc.

Catholics may find it of interest to note that even among their scholars, it is taught that the “Babylon” of Jeremiah 51:11 is referring to a European power: “the Roman Empire” (Kurz W. What Does the Bible Say About End Time? A Catholic View. Nihil Obstat: Hilarion Kistner, Imprimatur: +Carl Moeddel, July 19, 2004. Servant Books, 2004, pp. 48-49)

Notice that the Bible clearly states there is a group from the far north:

3 O Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal…6 from the far north and all its troops–many people are with you (Ezekiel 38:3,6).

14 Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog…15…you will come from your place out of the far north… (Ezekiel 38:14-15).

1 O Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal; 2 and I will turn you around and lead you on, bringing you up from the far north (Ezekiel 39:1-2).

A Russian confederation is that only place on the planet that is in the far north and currently has massive military power. A northern confederation (that appears to be led by Russia and probably includes the far north and far east/Pacific coast portion of Asia–like China) will destroy the European Babylon.

Militarily this will, before Jesus returns, have to do with a Russian led confederation.

Russia has again indicated a willingness to have military cooperation with China–such a confederation will come to pass.

As Jesus said, “And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!” (Mark 13:37)

While this is expected to benefit Chinese trade (as well as provide infrastructure for the gathering at Armageddon), could this also benefit the rise of Babylon the Great foretold in the Book of Revelation and scriptures in the Old Testament? What about the proposed Polar Silk Road? Will the benefits to Europe last or will the end time ‘daughter of Babylon’ possibly face invasion from nations involved with the Silk Road project? Senate Judiciary Committee Approves Barrett Supreme Court Nomination Despite Democrats’ Boycott

October 23, 2020

The Republican-led Senate Judiciary Committee has approved Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination to the Supreme Court, sending the matter to the full Senate for consideration.

Democrats on the committee boycotted the vote Thursday, resulting in a 12-0 vote in favor of the nomination. …

Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham said the Democrats boycotting the vote “does a disservice to Judge Barrett who deserves a vote, up or down.”

With Republicans holding a 53-47 majority in the Senate, Graham expressed optimism about the prospects for Barrett’s nomination.

“Judge Barrett deserves to be on the Supreme Court and she will be confirmed,” he said.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell plans to follow the Judiciary Committee’s vote with a procedural vote in the full Senate on Sunday that could bring a final vote on Barrett’s nomination on Monday.

Although the framers of the US Constitution hoped that the judicial branch would not be political, it certainly has become so.

And the judges themselves, often have political agendas.

Notice biblical criteria for appointing judges:

21 Moreover you shall select from all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them to be rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens. (Exodus 18:21)

Of course, a woman is not a man, and being a person of truth does not seem to be a criteria for being nominated. Since neither the Republicans or the Democrats hate covetousness, they do not consider being covetous is a disqualifier.

Now, I am not saying that Amy Coney Barrett is less honest or more covetous than the woman she is replacing–only that the biblical criteria were not stated as the initial reason to nominate Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s replacement.

Amy Coney Barrett is considered to be anti-abortion. Plus in 2015, she signed a letter publicly stating that marriage is between a man and a woman, which enraged the LGBTQ crowd and its supporters.

The full Senate will begin debate Friday on the confirmation of Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett ahead of an expected final vote on Monday.

This nomination has been another show of the deep division that is in the USA. As Jesus stated:

25 … Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. (Matthew 12:25)

The Bible itself warns that if the children of Israel sinned and did not repent, the following would happen:

¹² As for My people, children are their oppressors, And women rule over them. O My people! Those who lead you cause you to err, And destroy the way of your paths. (Isaiah 3:12)

So, we see a specific biblical prophecy warning of a time where there will be female rulers. And actually, having had women like Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the US Supreme Court and Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State, women have been rulers to a significant degree in the USA. Plus, if the Biden-Harris ticket wins, expect Kamala Harris to have a lot more influence than most of the past vice-presidents that the USA has had–her husband called her “the next President of the United States”” (see DW: Final US presidential debate: ‘A win for Trump’).

Donald Trump, himself, is hoping to continue that ‘legacy,’ presuming he can get his Supreme Court nominee approved.

Notice also the following about Amy Coney Barrett:

In September 2017, The New York Times reported that Barrett was an active member of a small, tightly knit Charismatic Christian group called People of Praise.^[86][87] Founded in South Bend, the group is associated with the Catholic Charismatic Renewal movement; it is ecumenical and not formally affiliated with the Catholic Church, but approximately 90 percent of its members are Catholic. The Bible warns against the ecumenical movement that is emerging in the world in Revelation 13.

Furthermore, true Christians do not want to be part of it. Notice the following from the Apostle Paul:

17 … “Come out from among them
And be separate, says the Lord.
Do not touch what is unclean,
And I will receive you.” (2 Corinthians 6:17)

Yes, true Christians do not support the ecumenical movement.

Getting back to leaders, the Bible also warns:

¹⁶ For the leaders of this people cause them to err, And those who are led by them are destroyed. (Isaiah 9:16)

We are in the last days and related to those, the Apostle Paul warned:

1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! (2 Timothy 3:1-5)

Many of those statements apply to modern political leaders, including judges and people who wish to be president.

Without national repentance the USA is doomed (cf. Habakkuk 2:6-8).

Another female judge or a possible female vice-president (Kamala Harris, who would be expected to often function as the de facto president) will not truly fix the problems in the USA.

Its British-descended allies of the UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand have all had female prime ministers, none of which believed truly obeying the Bible.

It will take the return of Jesus Christ and the establishment of the Kingdom of God to solve the problems facing the USA, its British-descended allies, and the rest of the world.

On September 26, 2020, US President Donald Trump announced that he was nominating the Roman Catholic Amy Coney Barrett to become a justice on the US Supreme Court. But the immigration segment of the debate took a turn after a strong start for Biden. Trump, avoiding the issue of the children still missing their parents, pointed out that some of the detention facilities, often described as cages, were in fact built during the Obama administration, when Biden was vice president. “That was him. They built cages,” said Trump.

For Coleman, he said, “It would have been better if Biden had had a response.” …

In the end, the president came out looking somewhat stronger than his challenger.

“Trump won, in the sense that [his debate performance] wasn’t a debacle, said Coleman, who is also the associate editor of Sabato’s Crystal Ball, a non-partisan election campaign newsletter. “We have set the bar so low. Now is it going to change a lot of minds? I don’t know.”

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, during Thursday’s debate with President Donald Trump, .. raised the issue that Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani was being used as an “agent” of Russia to spread disinformation.

That, of course, was the opening for which the president was waiting, to ask Biden about the millions of dollars his family was getting from Russia, from China, and more. And what about the money that was being held for the “big guy,” identified as Joe Biden?

The issue has erupted into what some analysts have described as the biggest scandal ever in American politics, as emails and other documentation that have become available – from insiders, from an abandoned computer, and more – have described how the Biden family was making multiple deals with foreign interests that would benefit the family with millions of dollars.

“I think you owe an explanation to the American people,” the president charged. “Maybe you can do it now.”

Biden then claimed, “I have not taken a penny from any foreign source in my life. I have not taken a single penny from any country whatsoever ever.”

Trump described the Biden family as a “vacuum cleaner,” sucking up money from everyone.

Biden also denied there was anything wrong with his son, Hunter, getting paid tens of thousands of dollars a month from Burisma, a Ukrainian gas company, an industry in which Hunter had no experience.

Anyway, caught parts of the debate last night, as well as listened to analysts at CNN, Fox, and MSNBC. The analysts essentially said that Joe Biden hurt himself in the states of Pennsylvania and Texas (two states Donald Trump probably must win if he is to win the election), Donald Trump scored points on the Hunter Biden scandal, and that although Donald Trump did better at the debate than Joe Biden, he probably would not win the election.

We will see.

If the Biden-Harris ticket wins, that looks to be the case. While Donald Trump spent the five days prior to last night’s debate campaigning and being US President, Joe Biden spent most of his time prepping for the debate. Despite the prepping, he did not do as well according to most analysts. And if he wins, it looks like he will be more of a figurehead president than the actual one. Which points to Kamala Harris being the de facto President of the United States, consistent with her husband’s statement.

How many voters will be motivated by the debate is questionable.

The lessor of two evils is still evil.

Pray, as Jesus said, for God’s Kingdom to come (Matthew 6:10).

The USA presidential campaign is in full swing. A while back, Eric Jones of the Church of God, a worldwide association (COGWA) reported on two prophetic trends he feels Christians should watch.

Jesus tells us to “watch” (Luke 21:36), and part of that includes recognizing important world news trends. We subscribe to some of the best newsmagazines published to gain a broad, global perspective of what is happening in today’s world. One periodical that provides excellent, in-depth analysis of global conditions is Foreign Affairs.

As I was paging through the July/August 2016 issue, I was struck by the number of articles relating to end-time trends prophesied in the Bible. The authors were good at recognizing the problems, but they weren’t able to see the prophetic perspective and the solutions explained in the Bible. …

I believe these two themes are essential to understanding our world as it relates to Bible prophecy.

Two important prophetic trends to watch

1. An increase in global conflicts and authoritarianism.

One of the primary themes of end-time Bible prophecies is global violence and instability. In the Olivet Prophecy, Jesus spoke these words about the time preceding the Great Tribulation and His return: “And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom” (Matthew 24:6-7). …

2. Germany’s increasing global role.

The current edition of Foreign Affairs also features a very interesting article titled “Germany’s New Global Role” by German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier. The article describes how Germany has emerged as the most stable and powerful nation in Europe. Germany is not just the undisputed economic leader of Europe, but it is also becoming a bigger diplomatic player in global affairs, “contributing diplomatically to the peaceful resolution of multiple conflicts around the globe” (p. 106).

Mr. Steinmeier points out that the United States and Europe have continually retreated from their roles as global leaders in the last decade—leaving a vacuum that has contributed to the retreat of democracy, the rise of authoritarian regimes and the rise of sectarian and national conflicts. This retreat has allowed regions to become destabilized; conflicts to spread; and nations like China, India and Russia to flex their muscles as significant regional and global powers.

“Against this backdrop,” Mr. Steinmeier writes, “Germany has remained remarkably stable” (p. 108). Germany has maintained its economic strength throughout the global recession and has maintained its focus on export-driven economic growth. Slowly and cautiously, Germany is taking a more assertive role in global affairs. With COVID-19 and government reactions to it, we are truly seeing the first of those two items.

Sorrows and the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse

Revelation 6:1-8 shows the opening of four seals and discusses the rides of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Each of which appears to be associated with aspects of the “beginning of sorrows” that Jesus mentions in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke. What do each of the horsemen represent? Did the old Worldwide Church of God teach that these rides were still in the future in the late 21st century? Could any have began in the 21st century? Does the rider of the white horse represent Jesus or false religion? Are there ties to the interfaith and ecumenical movements? What might the bow the horseman has represent? Could this be a tie to Satan the Devil? What about the Beast and False Prophet? Has the “beginning of sorrows” started? Could the first seal be opened? Could COVID-19 have anything to do with the second seal? Has “the peace” been taken from the earth? Could the rider of the red horse have begun with an opening of the second seal? What about riots, looting wars, and rumors of war? Are food inflation, food shortages, and famines associated with the opening of the third seal and rider of the black horse of famine? Could human actions such as evolution teachings, genetically-modified crops, and viral research be factors in the rides of the four horsemen? Is more than death related to pestilences associated with the rider of the pale horse, the fourth seal? Why might this be a factor in 666? Will most people fail to recognize the rides of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse until it is too late to take action? What about the fifth seal and the start of the Great Tribulation? Are there problems with Roman and Eastern Orthodox prophecies concerning the end and the Great Monarch? What about prophecies related to Noah, the King of the North, Armageddon, and Antichrist? And yes, Germany has been growing in influence in Europe as well as around the world. Related to this, the relationship between the Donald Trump Administration and Germany have been something to watch.

The Bible itself tells of a time when a German-dominated authoritarian Beast power will be involved in various conflicts. Notice something from the Old and New Testaments:

5 “Woe to Assyria, the rod of My anger
And the staff in whose hand is My indignation.
6 I will send him against an ungodly nation,
And against the people of My wrath
I will give him charge,
To seize the spoil, to take the prey,
And to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
7 Yet he does not mean so,
Nor does his heart think so;
But it is in his heart to destroy,
And cut off not a few nations.
8 For he says,
‘Are not my princes altogether kings?
9 Is not Calno like Carchemish?
Is not Hamath like Arpad?
Is not Samaria like Damascus?
10 As my hand has found the kingdoms of the idols,
Whose carved images excelled those of Jerusalem and Samaria,
11 As I have done to Samaria and her idols,
Shall I not do also to Jerusalem and her idols?'” (Isaiah 10:5-11)

1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. 2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”

5 And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. 6 Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. 7 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. 8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Assyria is a reference to Germany (see Germany’s Assyrian Roots Throughout History); whereas Samaria seems to be a reference to the USA (see also Anglo – America in Prophecy & the Lost Tribes of Israel and Spiritual Samaritans: Old and New).

The sea that Revelation 13 referred to is the Mediterranean sea (watch Can You Prove that the Beast to Come is European? and/or read Europa).

As far as watching, notice more details on the scripture that Erik Jones referred to as well as some he did not. Notice what Jesus said:

34 “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. 35 For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” (Luke 21:34-36)

28 “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. 29 So you also, when you see these things happening, know that it is near — at the doors! 30 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. 31 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

32 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 33 Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is. 34 It is like a man going to a far country, who left his house and gave authority to his servants, and to each his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to watch. 35 Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming — in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning — 36 lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping. 37 And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!” (Mark 13:28-37)

Notice Jesus said to watch and pray ALWAYS. He was referring to prophetic matters. THIS CAME FROM JESUS, BUT MANY SCOFF AT PROPHECY for differing reasons (cf. 2 Peter 3:1-7)–yet being a prophetic scoffer is a mistake (cf. 2 Peter 3:8-9).

Jesus realized that if people did not pay attention to prophecy and pray always, they would not properly take the steps to “be counted worthy to escape all these things.” Yes, God uses prophecy as a motivator for people. Remember that God used Jonah to warn Nineveh (Jonah 3:1-4) and they repented (Jonah 3:5-9), and they did not get the punishment they were going to get then (Jonah 3:10).

Jesus specifically told the Laodiceans, in a prophecy, that they needed to repent (Revelation 3:19) or face consequences (Revelation 3:14-19, and that they would be rewarded for doing so (Revelation 3:20). The Laodiceans are Church of God Christians “who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ” (Revelation 12:17).

Notice also the following from the old Worldwide Church of God:

“Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord’s anger,” cried the Prophet Zephaniah (2:3).

A sermon-on-the-mount-type character is required. If you develop such Christlike character, the chances of your escaping the great tribulation are very good.

God’s anxiety for the physical welfare of His people is recorded by the Prophet Isaiah: “Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For, behold [here is the reason for hiding], the Lord cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity …” (Isa. 26:20-21).

Notice that verse 21 ties right back into the Christian’s prophetic responsibility: watching significant world events individually (and warning the world as a Church) as well as praying to be worthy to escape the punishments of God on this sick and dying world.

The Philadelphia Church Era was predominant circa 1933 A.D. to 1986 A.D. The old Radio Church of God and old Worldwide Church of God, now basically the most faithful in the Church of God, like who hold to the beliefs and practices of the Continuing Church of God.
The Laodicean Church Era has been predominant circa 1986 A.D. to present. The Laodiceans are non-Philadelphians who mainly descended from the old WCG or its offshoots. They do not properly understand the work or biblical prophecies and will face the Great Tribulation if they do not repent (watching and praying means changing when YOU need to). Before going further, notice something that the Apostle Peter was inspired to write:

15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; 16 having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. (1 Peter 3:15-16)

So, for those who wonder about the truth, this post contains “a defense,” a true response to each of the assertions from one trying to falsely portray me as an evildoer.

Now, let’s look at each of the 22 supposed assertions that are supposedly “the false teachings of Bob Thiel.”

1. God told him to start anew church

I never stated the above–hence that was a false assertion from the defamer. However, I do believe I was led by God’s Spirit to separate from my prior COG.

As far as one of the reasons why, consider that the Bible teaches:

10 Cursed is he who does the work of the Lord deceitfully, (Jeremiah 48:10)

When my prior church confirmed that it was going to teach errors that it had previously stated it would correct, it was biblically obvious that it could not be the group God would use to lead The Final Phase of the Work. Jesus taught:

16 You will know them by their fruits. (Matthew 7:16)

The fastest growing xWCG in the 21st century, that would provide support that God has blessed, is the Continuing Church of God (CCOG).

2. God gave him a double portion of the Holy Spirit

On December 15, 2011, LCG minister Gaylyn Bonjour, while laying hands on me, was moved by the Holy Spirit to pray that God would grant me a “double portion” of His Spirit, which he said was reminiscent of the passing of the mantle from Elijah to Elisha as recorded in 2 Kings 2:9-13.

On November 28, 2019, Gaylyn Bonjour stated that he believed that God answered his prayer regarding Him granting me a double-portion of His Spirit. Furthermore, on that same date, Gaylyn stated that he tells those who ask:

I have known Bob Thiel since 1986. He has always been honest, dedicated, and sincere.

And that includes what I have written about him and the prophet matter. My teaching about what happened is accurate and not false.

3. God has set him apart as a prophet for the end times

I have never directly stated the above. Gaylyn Bonjour and I have, however, referred to the following scripture:

28 And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues. 29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? (1 Corinthians 12:28-30)

As the above shows, one becomes a prophet by God’s appointing.

4. He is fulfilling the role of Elisha, Elijah, Amos, Habbakuk, Daniel, Joshua

I have never stated the above. However, we in the CCOG have restored more details about church history, doctrinal understandings, and prophetic teachings. Whether or not those are part of the fulfillment for a future Elijah, for example, will be something God determines.

5. God speaks to him in dreams

Yes, I believe that I have had a couple of dreams from God. Like Jeremiah (who was unsure about a message until it was confirmed, see Jeremiah 32:6-8), I did not conclude that the messages were from God until they were confirmed.

The Bible shows that God most often works with prophets through a dream:

5 Then the Lord came down in the pillar of cloud and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam. And they both went forward.

6 Then He said, “Hear now My words:
If there is a prophet among you,
I, the Lord, make Myself known to him in a vision;
I speak to him in a dream.” (Numbers 12:5-6)

Notice that the above says that God’s plan is that He will speak to His prophets in a dream.

Now consider something that Jeremiah was inspired to write:

28 The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream. And he who has My word, let him speak My word faithfully. (Jeremiah 23:28)

Some do not want to hear about dreams, but the word of God says that God’s prophets should truthfully tell them. Some are critical of me telling about them.

Yet, notice the following:

29 But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: “We ought to obey God rather than men. 30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus whom you murdered by hanging on a tree. 31 Him God has exalted to His right hand to be Prince and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. 32 And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.” (Acts 5:29-32)

In these times, Christians still ought to obey God and not men. And when it comes to proclamation, also be witnesses of what has happened.

That is something we in the Continuing Church of God are doing.

Furthermore, at least six other people associated with the Continuing Church of God, several of which I did not know before they had dreams, had CCOG-related dreams that were confirmed (for details, check out the article Dreams, the Bible, the Radio Church of God, and the Continuing Church of God).

6. He teaches tithing

Yes, that is true. Jesus (Matthew 23:23; Luke 11:42), as well as early Christians, taught tithing (see Tithing Questions and Some Answers).

That being said, neither my wife nor I take a salary from the CCOG. Nor have we, as other critics at Banned have falsely claimed, “lived off the backs of the tithe-payers.”

This seemingly grates against many at Banned who have falsely put forth the view that the Church of God is all about money to support the lifestyles of the ministry. So, in my view, that is one of the reasons that I am so often a subject of their ridicule, inuendos, and lies.

7. He teaches the holy days are required

What I have taught is that Jesus kept them, as did the Apostles, and Christians should. So did the Apostle Paul (cf. 1 Corinthians 11:1, Acts 18:21). Early Christians did as well (see the free online booklet: Should You Keep God’s Holy Days or Demonic Holidays?).

8. HE preaches that the Sabbath is a new covenant command

Well, the New Testament teaches the Sabbath as a commandment, as did the Old Testament.

Notice what the New Testament Book of Hebrews teaches using four Protestant (including two ‘literal’), one Eastern Orthodox, and three Catholic translations:

3 Now we who have believed enter that rest, just as God has said, “So I declared on oath in my anger, ‘They shall never enter my rest.'” And yet his work has been finished since the creation of the world. 4 For somewhere he has spoken about the seventh day in these words: “And on the seventh day God rested from all his work.” 5 And again in the passage above he says, “They shall never enter my rest.” 6 It still remains that some will enter that rest, and those who formerly had the gospel preached to them did not go in, because of their disobedience…9 There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; 10 for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from His. 11 Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience (Hebrews 4:3-6,9-11, NIV).

3 For we who have believed enter that rest, just as He has said, “AS I SWORE IN MY WRATH, THEY SHALL NOT ENTER MY REST,” although His works were finished from the foundation of the world. 4 For He has said somewhere concerning the seventh day: “AND GOD RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY FROM ALL HIS WORKS”; 5 and again in this passage, “THEY SHALL NOT ENTER MY REST.” 6 Therefore, since it remains for some to enter it, and those who formerly had good news preached to them failed to enter because of disobedience,.. 9 So there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God. 10 For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His. 11 Therefore let us be diligent to enter that rest, so that no one will fall, through following the same example of disobedience. (Hebrews 4:3-6,9-11, NASB)

3 for we do enter into the rest — we who did believe, as He said, ‘So I sware in My anger, If they shall enter into My rest — ;’ and yet the works were done from the foundation of the world, 4 for He spake in a certain place concerning the seventh [day] thus: ‘And God did rest in the seventh day from all His works;’ 5 and in this [place] again, ‘If they shall enter into My rest — ;’ 6 since then, it remaineth for certain to enter into it, and those who did first hear good news entered not in because of unbelief … 9 there doth remain, then, a sabbatic rest to the people of God, 10 for he who did enter into his rest, he also rested from his works, as God from His own. 11 May we be diligent, then, to enter into that rest, that no one in the same example of the unbelief may fall, (Hebrews 4:3-6,9-11, Young’s Literal Translation)

3 For those having believed enter into the rest, as He has said: “So I swore in my wrath, ‘they shall not enter into My rest.’”a And yet the works have been finished from the foundation of the world. 4 For He has spoken somewhere concerning the seventh day in this way, “And on the seventh day God rested from all His works.” 5 And again in this passage. “They shall not enter into My rest.” 6 Therefore, since it remains for some to enter into it, and those having received the good news formerly did not enter in because of disobedience, … 9 So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God. 10 For the one having entered into His rest, he also rested from his works, as God did from the own. 11 Therefore we should be diligent to enter into that rest, so that no one should fall by the same example of disobedience. Now God’s work was all finished at the beginning of the world; 4 as one text says, referring to the seventh day: And God rested on the seventh day after all the work he had been doing. 5 And, again, the passage above says: They will never reach my place of rest. 6 It remains the case, then, that there would be some people who would reach it, and since those who first heard the good news were prevented from entering by their refusal to believe … 9 There must still be, therefore, a seventh-day rest reserved for God’s people, 10 since to enter the place of rest is to rest after your work, as God did after His.  11 Let us, then, press forward to enter this place of rest, or some of you might copy this example of refusal to believe and be lost. (Hebrews 4:3-6,9-11, NJB)

3 For we, that have believed, shall enter into their rest; as he said: As I sware in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: and truly the works from the foundation of the world being perfected. 4 For he said in a certain place of the seventh day thus: And God rested the seventh day from all his works … 9 Therefore there is left a sabbatisme for the people of God. 10 For he that is entered into his rest, the same also hath rested from his works, as God did from His. 11 Let us hasten therefore to enter into that rest; lest any man fall into the same example of incredulity. (Hebrews 4:3-6,9-11, The Original and True Rheims New Testament of Anno Domini 1582)

3 For we who believed enter into [that] rest, just as he has said: “As I swore in my wrath, ‘They shall not enter into my rest,’” and yet his works were accomplished at the foundation of the world. 4For he has spoken somewhere about the seventh day in this manner, “And God rested on the seventh day from all his works”; 5 and again, in the previously mentioned place, “They shall not enter into my rest.” 6 Therefore, since it remains that some will enter into it, and those who formerly received the good news did not enter because of disobedience,… 9 Therefore, a sabbath rest still remains for the people of God. 10And whoever enters into God’s rest, rests from his own works as God did from His. 11 Therefore, let us strive to enter into that rest, so that no one may fall after the same example of disobedience.(Hebrews 4:3-6,9-11, New American Bible)

Thus, the New Testament clearly shows that the command to keep the seventh day Sabbath is in the New Testament. It also shows that only those who will not observe it because of their disobedience argue otherwise. And that is why Paul observed it.

Even Origen of Alexandria (late second century) understood some of this as he wrote:

But what is the feast of the Sabbath except that which the apostle speaks, “There remaineth therefore a Sabbatism,” that is, the observance of the Sabbath, by the people of God…let us see how the Sabbath ought to be observed by a Christian. On the Sabbath-day all worldly labors ought to be abstained from…give yourselves up to spiritual exercises, repairing to church, attending to sacred reading and instruction…this is the observance of the Christian Sabbath (Translated from Origen’s Opera 2, Paris, 1733, Andrews J.N. in History of the Sabbath, 3rd editon, 1887. Reprint Teach Services, Brushton (NY), 1998, pp. 324-325).

As it turns out, at least 20 Protestant translations make it clear that Hebrews 4:9 is pointing to the weekly seventh-day Sabbath (ASV, BLB, BSB, CSB, DBT, ERV, ESV, GNT, HCSB, ILB, ISV, JMNT, Jubilee 2000, NASB, NETB, NHEB, NIV, WEB, WNT, YLT).

Furthermore, early Christians kept the Ten Commandments (see The Ten Commandments: The Decalogue, Christianity, and the Beast) and that included the one about the Sabbath (see The Sabbath in the Early Church and Abroad).

People who believe the Bible should be keeping the Sabbath.

9. He teaches Petra

Presumably, that is supposed to mean that I teach that Petra is the place of safety–the place of protection in the wilderness of Revelation 12:14-16. That is not entirely accurate.

What I have taught for years is that Petra is in a biblical possible location, but that it may not be the place. This is detailed in a long article, which the accuser could have looked at (but apparently did not) titled There is a Place of Safety for the Philadelphians. Why it May Be Near Petra.

10. He teaches his little group is the only church to know when it will be time to flee

What I teach is that if other COGs do not correct certain prophetic errors in understanding, many of which are detailed in the article Do You Hold to Any of These Laodicean Prophetic Errors?, they will not know when it is time to flee.

I also teach that Christians should pay attention to Zephaniah who wrote:

1 Gather yourselves together, yes, gather together,
O undesirable nation,
2 Before the decree is issued,
Or the day passes like chaff,
Before the Lord’s fierce anger comes upon you,
Before the day of the Lord’s anger comes upon you!
3 Seek the Lord, all you meek of the earth,
Who have upheld His justice.

11. He preaches about clean and unclean meats

So does the Bible–and so did early professors of Christ. For details, check out the article: The New Testament Church, History, and Unclean Meats.

12. He ignores Jesus

That is an oft-repeated lie by those who refuse to look at what the CCOG actually teaches.

Jesus taught:

43 Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. 44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. 45 But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me. 46 Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me? 47 He who is of God hears God’s words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God. (John 8:43-47)

As far as lies go, consider the following:

A big lie (German: große Lüge) is a propaganda technique and logical trick (fallacy). The expression was coined by Adolf Hitler, when he dictated his 1925 book Mein Kampf, about the use of a lie so “colossal” that no one would believe that someone “could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously”. …

Various sources, both popular and scholarly, attribute the following passage to Goebbels. However, it is not currently known which piece of writing this is attributed to and when it was written, or if it even was Goebbels who authored it:

If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.

The big lie that we ignore Jesus overlooks the fact that Jesus is referred to in almost every sermon or sermonette in the CCOG.

The claim I ignore Jesus is easily and provably false.

13. He ignores grace

That is not true.

Here is some of what is in the Statement of Beliefs of the Continuing Church of God:

SALVATION IS BY THE NAME OF JESUS BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH AND HE WILL RETURN

“Jesus Christ of Nazareth … for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:10,12). “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6).“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9). This is God’s gift by grace (favor) through faith in Jesus Christ (Titus 3:5; 2 Corinthians 2:15; Romans 5:10).

God is merciful (Exodus 34:6; Luke 6:36) and wants all to be saved (1 Timothy 2:4), yet because of various difficulties, few will find salvation in this age (Matthew 7:14; Luke 13:23-24; Romans 11:6-7; 2 Corinthians 4:4). Upon repentance and baptism, God justifies repentant Christians from their past sins. Christians then begin an ongoing process of “being saved“ as we grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ (2 Peter 3:18) and having Christ live in us (Galatians 2:20). Salvation for those Christians in this age will be complete at the resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:50-54); “Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation” (Hebrews 9:28). All will have a fair chance of being saved (Universal OFFER of Salvation, Apokatastasis: Can God save the lost in an age to come? Hundreds of scriptures reveal God’s plan of salvation and Hope of Salvation: How the Continuing Church of God Differs from Protestantism).

That last book mentioned is one of our longest and has many comments about grace. Grace is also covered in some depth in our other publications such as Hope of Salvation: How the Continuing Church of God Differs from Protestantism and Is God Calling You?, as well as various articles (e.g. God’s Grace is For All and John Calvin, Calvinism, TULIP, and What is Predestination?) and sermons.

Sadly, the critic at Banned has chosen to ignore that I do not ignore grace.

14. he ignores justification

That is not true.

Here is some of what is in the Statement of Beliefs of the Continuing Church of God:

FAITH, REPENTANCE, ACCEPTING OF JESUS, JUSTIFICATION, RECONCILIATION, AND BAPTISM

Other than being drawn/called by God (John 6:44; Matthew 22:14; see also the booklet Is God Calling You? and/or watch the animation Is God Calling You?), the first clear step in becoming a Christian is to hear (which can include reading as opposed to literal hearing) as “faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17). Then one must believe in Jesus with all one’s heart “the Way” He is taught about in the word of God (Acts 8:37, 24:14). Thus, only those capable of developing faith from understanding the word of God can properly be considered to be baptized as truly Christian (though, young children of at least one Christian parent, however, are designated as “holy” per 1 Corinthians 7:14).

Accepting the message of Jesus leads to “repentance from dead works and of faith toward God” (Hebrews 6:1) which means to change past ways of living that are contrary to God’s law (e.g. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11), baptism “in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins” (Acts 2:38), and the “laying on of hands” (Hebrews 6:2; cf. Acts 8:14-17) so “you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2:38). God’s Holy Spirit is given to those that “obey Him” (Acts 5:32).

Christians are “justified by His blood” (Romans 5:9) and “reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life” (Romans 5:10). …

15. He embraces legalism

No, I have pointed out how the Pharisees were condemned by Jesus, not for keeping the Ten Commandments (see the free online book The Ten Commandments: The Decalogue, Christianity, and the Beast), but from reasoning around them as many improperly do today (see also Were the Pharisees Condemned for Keeping the Law or Reasoning Around it?).

Like the Apostle Peter (cf. Acts 5:29-32), I teach obedience to God, not Pharisaical legalism.

16. He teaches Moses over Jesus

I have written no books about Moses, nor have I done a sermon series on him. But I have about Jesus (see responses to item 12 above).

17. He says the Old Covenant is still required

No, I never have taught that. I specifically teach that the animal sacrifices and other rituals associated with the Old Covenant were done away with by the sacrifice of Jesus (Hebrews 9-10)–see also Which Laws were Superceded? Which Remain?

But, like Jesus, the Apostles, and early Christians, I do teach that Christians are to strive to obey the Ten Commandments (see the free online book The Ten Commandments: The Decalogue, Christianity, and the Beast).

18. That he is a Christian

But, I am. Notice what the Apostle Paul stated:

14 “But I admit that I follow the Way, which they call a cult. I worship the God of our ancestors, and I firmly believe the Jewish law and everything written in the prophets.

Although critics refer to original Christianity a cult, I will continue to strive to live that way. More on that can be found in two booklets I wrote: Christians: Ambassadors for the Kingdom of God, Biblical instructions on living as a Christian and Continuing History of the Church of God.

19. That HWA was Elijah

That is false. I teach that although Herbert W. Armstrong sometimes thought that he was the coming Elijah, that his own writings show that he could not be.

This has been my position for at least two decades. It has been covered in COGWriter posts as well as the following article and related sermons:

How the Banned critic got this wrong again points to ignorance of what I actually teach.

20. That he knows more than Rod Meredith

Although in the Summer of 2005, Dr. Meredith appointed me as an advisor to the LCG doctrinal committee on doctrine and prophecy, I have never stated that.

Perhaps the Banned comment is directed towards something I wrote, related to Dr. Meredith, in our free online book Continuing History of the Church of God:

Roderick Meredith once wrote:

In II Kings 2:8-15, we find the account where the great prophet Elijah was taken up into heaven—turning his office and mantle over to Elisha…he asked for a “double portion” of Elijah’s spirit to be upon him. As Elijah ascended up to heaven, his mantle fell on Elisha. …

Today, you should personally awake to the fact that the mantle and power of Elijah will be manifested among God’s true servants in this age. For as John the Baptist came in the spirit and power of Elijah (Luke 1:17), so God says of our day:

Unlike Herbert Armstrong who restored truths to the Philadelphia era, and Bob Thiel who added many more details to those truths and restored more that was lost regarding church history, prophecy, and doctrine, Dr. Meredith never not claimed to do that. Nor did he fulfill the prophetic office. Yet, he wrote that someone had to. He died on May 18, 2017.

Consider also, even after I left LCG, an email from LCG evangelist Douglas Winnail sent to me on January 7, 2013 stated, “we made comments to you that ‘you may be a prophet.’”

Again, this was another assertion at Banned that is false as I have never stated/taught that I knew more than Roderick Meredith as we all have different strengths, knowledge, and experiences.

As far as some details, etc., restored, though, I wrote the following books and booklets with them:

21. He preaches he is being persecuted

Jesus prophesied:

10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. 12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you (Matthew 5:10-12)

Those at Banned and various other places have regularly been fulfilling that prophecy and saying all kinds of things falsely against me and CCOG.

The posted listed of 22 supposedly false teachings of mine was just another aspect of the persecution those who do not have sufficient love of the truth, again have done.

22. That he is a world-renown religious scholar

Actually, I never made that claim, but a publicist I worked with did.

The fact that I have written numerous religious books which have been translated into over 100 languages, have done hundreds of radio interviews, and our church (CCOG) has members on all inhabited continents on earth shows at least some appreciation for my writings and scholarship.

No, I am not a false teacher. But those supporting Satan do not care.

Anyway, the Bible shows that those who keep God’s commandments will be blessed, whereas those who believe and love lies will be outside the coming holy city unless they repent:

14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. 15 But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie. (Revelation 22:14-15)

Jesus taught:

44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. (Matthew 5:44-45)

Those who spread lies about me and others in CCOG are in my prayers.

The Book of Proverbs teaches:

16 The lazy man is wiser in his own eyes
Than seven men who can answer sensibly. (Proverbs 26:16)

Which is more sensible? The truth or rants from accusers of the brethren?

As far as supernatural grace goes, the fact is that Continuing Church of God has the most confirmed signs of Acts 2:17-18 of any claimed COG. For details, check out the article: Does the CCOG have the confirmed signs of Acts 2:17-18?

But people who do not really believe the Bible or that God is actively working through His Spirit today will not accept that.

Continuing Church of God (CCOG) evangelist Evans Ochieng was originally a Seventh-day Adventist before becoming part of the old Worldwide Church of God. After the apostasy hit the old WCG, he became a host in the old Global then Living Church of God, before going elsewhere. In November 2013, after reviewing CCOG websites and literature, he asked to be part of CCOG. He came in with 260 people and now oversees 4,000 in Kenya, Ethiopia, Ghana, Malawi, Mozambique, South Sudan, Zambia, Tanzania, and Uganda.
