There are concerns about Europe’s finances:

Hurts to say it, but Yoorp is going to struggle most with what’s coming next. It’s got limited choices between galloping inflation, economic misery, and political instability. Being Europe, there is a significant risk it’s likely to reap the non-benefits of all three.

After the US and UK hiked interest rates this week, the global inflation threat is so pronounced even the Swiss National Bank surprised markets by joining the Central Bank tightening trend! …

The ECB? It exists in the same economic world as the rest of us. But being a committee of 19 national members makes it rather unwieldy. …

But the real problem is the ECB are still a-dither on how to tell the Germans they’re going to be paying for Italian pensions after all. The key for the ECB holding Yoorp together is avoiding the “fragmentation” of Southern European sovereign credit spreads. We don’t know how their new “anti-fragmentation instrument” will do it – and neither do they, yet. They held an emergency ECB meeting to agree to agree about talking about it.

(And yes, I use the world “credit” deliberately because they are not sovereign issuers. All Euro members are using a currency they don’t have financial sovereignty over. Having a vote at a table of 19 members is not the same thing.)

Europe and the ECB realise their weakness. That’s why they are doing the usual European thing – seeking a compromise. Martin Armstrong reported the following:

The European Debt Crisis 2023-2024

The European Central Bank has announced that it plans to create a new tool to tackle the risk of eurozone fragmentation, which is the new term for divergence among member states. They are adopting this tactic out of fears of a new European debt crisis that is inevitable. From the very beginning when the EU Commission was charged with designing the Euro came to our conference in London in 1997, I warned that the promises that everyone would be paying the same rate of interest merely because they were creating a single currency was a complete fantasy. I further warned that this would lead to the collapse of the Euro if not the entire EU. …

It is possible that there will be a European debt crisis in 2023 or 2024.

Interestingly, the late Pastor General of the old Worldwide Church of God, Herbert W. Armstrong, had a view about banking matters and European unity. Here is something he said in a sermon on July 7, 1984:

And I can see now, the event that is going to trigger the formation of the reunification in Europe; the resurrection of the medieval Holy Roman Empire that we’ve been looking forward to that is prophesied to come…

But I believe that some event is going to happen suddenly just like out a blue sky that is going to shock the whole world and is going to cause the nations in Europe to realize they must unite! … Well now I think I can see what may be the very event that is going to trigger…that is the economic situation in the world…

The whole banking structure in the United States is a network all jointed together. But not only that, one nation has to deal with other nations and imports and exports. And so they have to have a means of transforming money from one nation to another. And so the banking structure is international and interwoven…

Now when the financial structure breaks down, all civilization is going to break down…

So, an economic or banking crisis is what Herbert W. Armstrong concluded would drive Europe to unite.

But that was not the only thing he thought would be factors.

Notice something he wrote in 1961;

I quote from the October 16 U.S. News: “Germany, divided visibly, …is developing new doubts … about the U.S. Germans hold the key to West Europe.” Khrushchev won’t start actual total nuclear war now—but his threats are doing two things: 1) frightening Germany and France and all western Europe; and 2) causing western Europe nations to LOSE CONFIDENCE in ability or certainty of U.S. to protect them from Russia. This is HASTENING the development of the six-nation Common Market into a TEN-nation political-military-economic EMPIRE. Such a U.S. of Europe could soon be stronger than Russia. United, these European nations can protect themselves from Russia. They will make a DEAL with the U.S.S.R.—a non-aggression pact. Then the Germans, who will dominate, remembering it was U.S. power that TWICE defeated them in world war, will attack the United States, destroying OUR CITIES. SO SAYS PROPHECY!

More and more in Europe are losing confidence in the USA. Yes, Europe will make a deal with Russia.

Now, notice something that Herbert W. Armstrong wrote in 1976:

It would mean UNION once again of church and state in Europe. It would mean a common currency for a union of ten nations in Europe. It could mean one military force, which would be as strong—possibly more so—as the U.S.A. or the U.S.S.R.

The loss of Europe’s faith in America to protect her from the Soviet Union is another trend leading directly to such an eventuality as I have described.

Sooner or later such a European union will take place. (Armstrong HW. Co-worker Letter, April 22, 1976)

Well, now there is a European Union–not just fully united, but one exists. Furthermore, Europe does have its own currency. And yes, fears from Russia (who was the dominant nation in the old USSR) have pushed Europe to decide to increase its military. although the Vatican has been supporting a united Europe, we do not see the type of church-state alliance that is coming, yet.

However, if the Vatican bails out Europe financially, which it may well do, that may be a factor in it gaining more influence in Europe.

Is the European Beast Growing Horns?

Does the conflict between Russia and Ukraine have prophetic ramifications? What about Ezekiel 38? Are we seeing a ‘historic shift’ in Europe to move towards more unity? Back in 1979, the late Herbert W. Armstrong claimed that the Great Tribulation would begin with a nuclear attack against the UK and/or USA and then Canada. Notice:

That will be a time when the UNITED Europe shall appear–the revival of the medieval “Holy Roman Empire.” We shall then be warned, and readied to be taken to a place of refuge and safety from the Great Tribulation. Forty-five days later “the beasts armies” will surround Jerusalem. Thirty days later the Great Tribulation will probably start with a nuclear attack on London and Britain–and possibly the same day or immediately after, on the United States and Canadian cities. The GREAT TRIBULATION, we shall fully then realize, is the time of “Jacob’s Trouble,” spoken of in Jeremiah 30:7. And Jacob’s name was named on Joseph’s sons, Ephraim and Manasseh (Gen. 48:16). At that time a third of the people in our nations will die, or shall have died, by famine and disease epidemics; another third will dies of the war–our cities being destroyed (Ezek. 6:6), and the remaining third will be carried to the land of our enemies as slaves (Ezek. 5:12). While we are starting to see a united Europe, as well as a Europe working on its military (see With PESCO, EU entering a ‘New Era’: An era that will NOT end well for the USA, Canada, or the UK), Europe already really has a lot of nuclear weapons that it could use to do this or something similar.

When my wife and I first visited the Netherlands in 1983, we learned that some there were upset that American nuclear weapons were expected to end up being stored there. And this nuclear weapons storage did happen.

Notice something reported by Time:

Is Italy capable of delivering a thermonuclear strike? Could the Belgians and the Dutch drop hydrogen bombs on enemy targets? And what about Germany — a country where fear of atomkraft is so great that the last government opposed all civilian nuclear power? Germany’s air force couldn’t possibly be training to deliver bombs 13 times more powerful than the one that destroyed Hiroshima, could it?

It is Europe’s dirty secret that the list of nuclear-capable countries extends beyond those that have built their own weapons — Britain, France and Russia. The truth is that Belgium, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands store nuclear bombs on their air-force bases and have planes capable of delivering them. There are an estimated 200 B-61 thermonuclear-gravity bombs scattered across these four countries. Under a NATO agreement struck during the Cold War, the bombs, which are owned by the U.S., can be transferred to the control of a host nation’s air force in time of conflict. Twenty years after the fall of the Berlin Wall, Dutch, Belgian, Italian and German pilots remain ready to engage in nuclear war. (Harrall E. What to Do About Europe’s Secret Nukes. According to Global Research out of Canada, the amount of nuclear weapons could be higher than the Time article indicated:

The US has supplied some 480 B61 thermonuclear bombs to five so-called “non-nuclear states”, including Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Turkey. Casually disregarded by the Vienna based UN Nuclear Watchdog (IAEA), the US has actively contributed to the proliferation of nuclear weapons in Western Europe…

Among the five “undeclared nuclear states”, “Germany remains the most heavily nuclearized country with three nuclear bases (two of which are fully operational) and may store as many as 150 [B61 bunker buster ] bombs” (Ibid). In accordance with “NATO strike plans” (mentioned above) these tactical nuclear weapons are also targeted at the Middle East.

While Germany is not categorized officially as a nuclear power, it produces nuclear warheads for the French Navy. It stockpiles nuclear warheads (made in America) and it has the capabilities of delivering nuclear weapons. Moreover, The European Aeronautic Defense and Space Company – EADS , a Franco-German-Spanish joint venture, controlled by Deutsche Aerospace and the powerful Daimler Group is Europe’s second largest military producer, supplying .France’s M51 nuclear missile.

Germany imports and deploys nuclear weapons from the US. It also produces nuclear warheads which are exported to France. Yet it is classified as a non-nuclear state. (Chassudovsky M. NNSA is refurbishing and replacing components of the aging B-61-3 and B-61-4 warheads, converting them into the updated B61-12 model. Under NNSA’s B61-12 Life Extension Plan, the updated warheads will enter full production in 2020 and be deployed by 2024. [8]
• Turkey, the Netherlands, Italy and possibly Belgium are planning to buy the nuclear-capable F35-A Joint Strike Fighter from the United States, which will begin replacing existing NATO aircraft in 2024. [9] Germany is expected to extend the service life of its nuclear-capable PA-200 tornado through the 2020s. [10]

Destructive Force [11]

Treaty Commitments

Anyway, this has been called “nuclear sharing,” but the reality is that the nuclear weapons are available to Europe.

Here is some information about France:

France

Most of its nuclear warheads are deployed on submarines equipped with M45 and M51 missiles. One boat is on patrol at all times. Some warheads are also deliverable by aircraft.

The reality is that if Europe chooses to turn against the USA, it has the nuclear ability to do so pretty much any time. Europe is also, at least partially in reaction to Donald Trump and his Administration, increasing military spending and independence.

The Bible shows that Europe will have a “great army” (Daniel 11:25; watch also PESCO and a Great European Army) and a conquering empire with “many ships” (cf. Daniel 11:29-43).

Of course, some believe that despite WWI, WWII, and previous massive wars, that Europe would never start WWIII. Yet, this overlooks a biblical prophecy:

5 O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation. 6 I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.

7 Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy and cut off nations not a few.

8 For he saith, Are not my princes altogether kings? 9 Is not Calno as Carchemish? is not Hamath as Arpad? is not Samaria as Damascus? 10 As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, and whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria; 11 Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols? (Isaiah 10:5-11, KJV)

The USA is sometimes prophetically referred to as Samaria (and sometimes as Manasseh) in biblical prophecy (for details, watch USA in Prophecy: Samaria). So, even though Germanic-led Europe (referred to as Assyria above) does not seem to wish to do this (Isaiah 10:7), according to biblical prophecy it will come to pass. The USA will be defeated (cf. Daniel 11:39; see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses).

Notice that the Bible tells of a coming time of massive devastation:

23 ‘The whole land is brimstone, salt, and burning; it is not sown, nor does it bear, nor does any grass grow there, like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, which the Lord overthrew in His anger and His wrath.’ (Deuteronomy 29:23-24)

19 Through the wrath of the LORD of hosts
The land is burned up,
And the people shall be as fuel for the fire; No man shall spare his brother.
20 And he shall snatch on the right hand
And be hungry;
He shall devour on the left hand
And not be satisfied; Every man shall eat the flesh of his own arm. 21 Manasseh shall devour Ephraim, and Ephraim Manasseh; Together they shall be against Judah (Isaiah 9:19-21, NKJV).

The above descriptions are consistent with a nuclear or similar attack. Manasseh represents the USA and Ephraim its British-descended allies (see Anglo – America in Prophecy & the Lost Tribes of Israel). THIS HAS NOT YET HAPPENED IN HISTORY AND IS A PROPHECY FOR OUR TIME.

It is my view that Europe will likely attack the USA and/or the UK under the guise of a NATO (or some other defense treaty) exercise and use nuclear bombers. And yes, German-dominated Europe would be willing to use USA nuclear bombs against the USA, UK, and Canada!

While now is not the time–“the end it not yet” (Matthew 24:6; see also When Will the Great Tribulation Begin?)–the Germans and others in Europe have access to nuclear weaponry and other technology, to make this come to pass.

Nuclear bombers for the Beast?

It is reported that the Germans are looking for a new bomber to be able to be used to deliver US B61-12 atomic bombs. Does Germany already have access to American nuclear weapons it can now use? What about Belgium, Italy, and the Netherlands? Has there been increased interest in more independent European nuclear capacity since the election of US President Donald Trump? What has Berthold Kohler, Herbert W. Armstrong, Nigel Farage, Jean-Claude Juncker, and Maximilian Terhalle said about Europe’s militaristic ambitions? What about Bible prophecy? Could the Great Tribulation begin with a thermonuclear strike? What has Time, NTI, and Global Research reported about European nuclear weapons available to European nations? Is a nuclear attack consistent with prophecies? Might the coming Beast use nuclear weapons against the USA? Dr. Thiel addresses these issues and more.

In 1980, Herbert W. Armstrong wrote the following:

You may be sure the West European leaders are conferring hurriedly and secretly about HOW and HOW SOON they may UNITE and provide a united EUROPEAN MILITARY FORCE so they can DEFEND THEMSELVES! And so they will no longer have to give in meekly to Russia! And WHO WILL THEY BLAME for their humiliation and their necessity NOW to have a UNITED EUROPE, with a united GOVERNMENT, a COMMON CURRENCY, and a COMMON MILITARY FORCE AS GREAT OR GREATER THAN EITHER THE U.S.S.R. OR THE U.S.A.? They will blame the United States! And when they are strong enough to assert themselves, they will first attack Britain for standing firm with the U.S., and then they will return a lot of hydrogen bombs the U.S. has stored now in Europe! Yes, fear of Russia is a factor in Europe now rearming.

Yes, the Europeans have tended to blame the United States for many things–and the USA will be blamed even more.

And yes, Europe does have access to USA nuclear weapons that are stored in Europe.

But Europe is not ready to attack the USA–yet!

That will not happen until a major reorganization that is prophesied to happen and push Europe under totalitarian control:

12 “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. (Revelation 17:12-13)

One or more financial crises, loss of confidence with the USA, immigrant issues, trade matters, religion, signs and lying wonders, and another pandemic look to be factors that will bring about the change in Europe and the end of the USA and its British-descended allies.

Herbert W. Armstrong understood about a lot of this.

The world we have known has changed and is changing.

The Great Tribulation, along with major attacks by Europe, will be here fairly soon–most likely no later than 2028.

First European ‘exascale’ supercomputer to be hosted in Germany

Germany will host the first European supercomputer with exascale capabilities while four new mid-range supercomputers will be hosted in Greece, Hungary, Ireland and Poland.

The European High-Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) announced on Wednesday (15 June) that it selected the five sites to host and operate the next generation of European supercomputers.

The joint undertaking is a public-private partnership involving EU institutions, member states and private companies to boost Europe’s supercomputing capacities.

“These five new supercomputers will support us in the development of high-precision models. This will help us tackle societal challenges and facilitate advanced research in the fields of climate change, cosmology, engineering, materials science and more,” said Margrethe Vestager, Vice-President of the Commission responsible for the digital portfolio.

The most powerful device, the exascale supercomputer JUPITER, will be hosted by the Jülich Supercomputing Centre in Germany and will be installed in 2023.  …

A wave of European supercomputers 

According to Bettina Stark-Watzinger, German Federal Minister of Education and Research, two more exascale supercomputers will also be launched in Munich and Stuttgart in the next few years in cooperation with the German states of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg.

The EuroHPC JU’s announcement comes just after LUMI, Europe’s most powerful supercomputer to date, was inaugurated on 13 June in Finland.

The other four sites were chosen to host mid-range supercomputers, which have so-called petascale, meaning performing over a quadrillion calculations per second, or pre-exascale capabilities.

The Greek Institute National Infrastructures for Research and Technology will host the system DAEDALUS; the Hungarian Governmental Agency for IT Development will host LEVENTE; the National University of Ireland Galway will host CASPIr; and the Polish Academic Computer Centre CYFRONET AGH will host EHPCPL. …

So, the world’s fastest supercomputers are now in and coming to Europe.

Evangelist Evans Ochieng of the Continuing Church of God has made several trips to Malawi and Mozambique over the years. And from the USA, Terry Nelson and his sons have also been able to have two trips to that area. When I was last in Africa, I met with leaders from across Africa, including some from Malawi and Mozambique and have been involved with ordinations there.

Last night I had vision of the work in Malawi and Mozambique and since I was planning to visit the two countries in June or July, it will force me to visit the two countries and stay there for almost one month to visit all the congregations. That was my plan during my last visit but the rain was too much and roads were totally poor. I’m also planning to visit Ethiopia if the country is peaceful. Recently I received a call from pastor Sawek that one of the congregations in South rift valley needs my visit and I hope we will visit the congregation this month if they are ready. Evans.

Greetings from kenya. Pastor there is something that I didn’t tell you when I was joining continuing church of God. I didn’t say it because I thought it was just a dream. When I was joining continuing church of God, I saw a small white handkerchief. It was very white and in in it was written continuing church of God. When I was still looking it, it enlarged till become bigger. Then I woke up. I thought it was a dream. Then recently I saw the same handkerchief standing in Malawi just the same I saw it in kenya. The same size and enlarged like before. After a short time I saw if I was baptizing so many people in Malawi. After that I heard a voice telling me that you are a loved man.

The reason why I knew that it was a vision, you know very well that when I was joining CCOG, I came out one person and as I continue talking with people about CCOG, the church continues to grow very fast and right now, the church has expanded highly. Not because of my strength or any strength from a man but from GOD. I’m saying this because all people who God call in CCOG are working tirelessly to preach the gospel. I can see the work which is going on in rift valley, in kisii and in Nyanza, Pastors are really working. So what I saw about that handkerchief is the same to what I saw in kenya. The only different is, when I saw it in kenya, I didn’t see that I’m baptizing many people. And voice I didn’t here. Now if I saw it in Malawi and the kind of baptism I saw , tells me clearly that it is a vision. That is the reason why I want go to Malawi for almost one month preaching and visitation. Evans

The first of two “vision dreams” Evans had was apparently in November 2013 (Evans could not recall the exact date), whereas the second was May 13, 2022. Evans Ochieng concluded that he was told he needed to quickly go to Malawi, so he flew to Malawi on May 27, 2022 to stay one month (which is several times as long as most of his previous trips to Malawi).

Greetings from Malawi.

I’ve been sending letters and there is no network for the last 5 days. I was in Jenjete on Wednesday last week after that I met Chiringa congregations on Friday and in the evening I was on a visitation tour.  I met Blessings and we took almost 6 hours talking. Blessings is back in the church with wasi whom I met at molozwa’s home.  They are very happy and on Sabbath we were together with them in Sunuzi where I kept Sabbath.

Yesterday after services I met with sayenda and Abakhole who were in the church  before and left. My visitation in Malawi is very successful.  Only sayenda who went back to pastor church of Christ who are keeping Sunday. I will have more baptism this week.  I will do baptism in migowi and cheleka then lastly I will do baptism in SALIMA.

Today the weather is good and for the last five days it was very poor cold. I have a photo with The teacher Blessings and wasi. Below is the picture

Please continue to pray for the success of this trip. God has been calling many (cf. John 6:44). Relatively few of those in Malawi or Mozambique have a Church of God background, and I would tend to categorize many of them as congregants as we do not consider unbaptized people, including children, as members per se (though when people speak of church membership, total congregants is what they really mean).

Greetings from Malawi.

I had a meeting today with all leaders in southern Malawi and Mozambique.  I told all the leaders to come with their wives.

I wanted to teach them how to oversee the church of God and about family life. How to teach and what to teach. I covered many topics and the meeting was very successful.  I’m happy this time to get chance to talk with all leaders from Malawi and Mozambique.  There is one leader from Mozambique who was coming from very far and means of transportation from that place to Malawi is not easy. So he is the only person who didn’t attend the meeting. I did the same meeting in mwanza and this one in migowi.  Tomorrow I will go to cheleka for baptism. It’s a long distance so I will wake very early in the morning in order to reach there in time.

Teaching the teachers is part of what Evans Ochieng has been doing on this trip. And it is a trip that has been bearing fruit.

Yes, there has been major growth in Malawi and Mozambique.

Here is some other information from the Letter to the Brethren: June 16, 2022:

Several African reports are in this Letter which point to the Continuing Church of God having success reaching Gentiles there, consistent with Romans 11:25 (see also What About Romans 11:25 and the Full Number of the Gentiles?).

According to written and oral reports I have received from Africa this month, we now have over 7,500 congregants around the world (includes children and other unbaptized persons) in the Continuing Church of God.

The New Testament teaches that the “full number” of the Gentiles are prophesied to come in before Jesus returns (Romans 11:25; What About Romans 11:25 and the Full Number of the Gentiles?) and we have seen growth in Gentile congregants in Asia (India and the Philippines), Africa and other places. Furthermore, our upcoming radio broadcast out of Italy should help us reach more European Gentiles (as well as some Israelites) starting next month.

As far as reaching those of Israelitish descended backgrounds, most of our video views come from them. Most of the listeners to the Genesis Network program I frequently am a guest on (last time I was on was yesterday related to my COGwriter post Pope Doubles Down On NATO-Ukraine Comments: Russian Invasion Was “Provoked” & Pope Francis: There are many ‘restorers’ in the US who do not accept Vatican II) and most of the multiple millions of computers our online campaigns reach are also those with Israelite heritage–so we are not ignoring Gentiles nor Israelites (cf. Matthew 28:19-20).

Because of obeying Jesus’ commands to go to all nations, along with God’s blessings, the CCOG has been the fastest growing x-WCG COG in the 21st century. We have used tithes and offerings to pay for trips, literature, radio, videos, internet support, online campaigns, visits, building materials, youth camps, festival assistance, equipment, seeds, work projects, and other things to reach people around the world, and including the Gentiles and Israelites (cf. Letter to the Brethren: January 20, 2022).

We have also added more congregants without a prior WCG-related background than any other Church of God who leaders had ties to the old WCG than any we are aware of.

Why mention that?

Because Jesus said:

18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them. (Matthew 7:18-20)

The fruits are there, for those with eyes to see and ears to hear.

Yet, sadly, many people are affected by prejudices and other factors which stop them from acting on the truth and more directly supporting the reaching of the Gentiles. The Jews of the Apostle Paul’s day were not particularly impressed with Gentiles becoming Christian, but that was part of God’s plan. Most Laodiceans do not understand how God is working at this time, and they also ignore and/or discount aspects of His word (cf.  How does the Continuing Church of God differ from other Sabbatarian COG groups? and Does the CCOG have the confirmed signs of Acts 2:17-18?; watch also 50+ Laodicean Prophetic Errors).

Jesus taught that the end does NOT come until the ‘Gospel of the Kingdom of God‘ reaches enough nations (Matthew 24:14) and, based on Paul’s writings, we also see that “the full number” (as the NIV, NLT, BSB, CEV, GNT, HCSV, ISV, and NET Bible, put Romans 11:25) of Gentiles is something God wants in this age come in. This is something that must be done and we in the CCOG have a lot of fruits related to that.

Although God is the one who calls (cf. John 6:44), we in the CCOG seem to be having major success in assisting with getting the message out to many that are responding to God’s calling.

Google Campaign

Spent time yesterday with our Google representative about our campaign. We worked on optimization of our reach, without increasing our budget.

We will see how that turns out in time.

Currently our Google campaign is doing very well.

In the month of May, Google reports that we made 14,343,187 computer impressions–that means computers around the world were reached over 14 million times with parts of the good news. This is up over 40% from the previous month. We have been and ARE reaching millions.

It seems like never before in Church of God history have so few reached so many with so little resources. God has blessed the tithes and offerings we have received to give a witness to multiple millions around the world.

We have information on church history, the true Church of God, and God’s plan of salvation that we are promoting around the world through our Google campaign as part of the work we are doing to assist in fulfilling Matthew 24:14, Matthew 28:19-20, and Romans 11:25. We also have a campaign with Microsoft that targets and reaches Sabbath keepers around the world.

The Continuing Church of God also has literature available in over 120 languages, and we are striving to have literature in additional ones as well.

We have been reaching people around the world and have the fruits, consistent with those Jesus said to look for, and the signs the New Testament says would be around in the last days.

A trade dispute between the U.K. and the EU erupts over post-Brexit deal

When the United Kingdom officially left the European Union, Northern Ireland stayed behind in one significant way.

The country effectively remained part of the EU’s single market for goods, a concept that allows goods to move freely among the member states. That condition was called the Northern Ireland Protocol.

This week, the U.K. government announced a proposal to rework part of the agreement it made with the EU during Brexit in a move one European official called “illegal.”

It’s set off an international trade dispute between the U.K. and the EU, and threatened to disrupt the relative peace in Northern Ireland since the Good Friday Agreement was reached in 1998.

“When we look at people’s concerns around the protocol, above all else, no matter what background people are from, their concern is for political stability in Northern Ireland,” Katy Hayward, a professor of political sociology at Queen’s University Belfast, told NPR.

EU legal proceedings ensue over UK Northern Ireland protocol bill

The UK faces the prospect of being hauled before Europe’s highest court and potential fines if the Government fails to engage in new discussions over the Northern Ireland Protocol.

The European Commission recommenced legal proceedings yesterday (15 June) against the government of Prime Minister Boris Johnson after the Northern Ireland Protocol Bill was put forward on Monday overriding elements of the post-Brexit settlement agreement signed in January 2020.

If the UK does not comply with a requirement, within two months, to reengage in discussions under the so-called infringement proceedings – launched in March last year but put on hold in September – European officials could take the Government to the Court of Justice of the European Union.

At best, the UK could face a penalty payment for its unilateral action for severing parts of the protocol. But in the wider scheme of things, concerns have been raised about a potential trade war, just as both sides battle inflationary pressures and ongoing supply disruptions linked to the pandemic.

“We are proceeding a step further with the infringement process we launched in March 2021 regarding, for instance, the movement of agri-food,” Commission vice president Maroš Šefčovič said. “This UK bill is extremely damaging to mutual trust and respect between the EU and the UK.”

He added: “Let there be no doubt: there is no legal, nor political justification whatsoever for unilaterally changing an international agreement. Opening the door to unilaterally changing an international agreement is a breach of international law as well. Let’s call a spade a spade: this is illegal.” …

Germany told European Union nations that relations between the UK and the bloc reached a new low and they should be ready for a serious fight if London enacts the bill it proposed to tear up the Northern Ireland Protocol.

The EU is already fuming mad at the UK because of its departure from the EU (known as Brexit).

As far as to why the UK is doing this, basically the government wants to push against EU rules and also wants the support of the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP).

Jeffrey Donaldson was ratified as DUP leader on 30 June 2021, and said his top priority was to get rid of the Northern Ireland Protocol, the post-Brexit trade arrangements.^[89] Hours after he became leader, MLA Alex Easton left the DUP, saying the party no longer had any “respect, discipline or decency”.^[90] This meant the DUP were no longer the biggest party in the Assembly.

As part of the party’s protest against the Northern Ireland Protocol, the DUP’s Paul Givan resigned as First Minister in February 2022, collapsing the Northern Ireland Executive.^[91]

In April, shortly before the 2022 Assembly election, all of the DUP’s officers in South Down refused to endorse the party’s candidate Diane Forsythe and resigned from the DUP.^[92]

So, the DUP wants the protocol gone or at least changed.

But the European Union really does not want to change it.

The EU wants the world to accept its standards and what the UK is proposing would be a slight deviation from some of those standards and to the EU, that is unacceptable.

Those is Ireland, and even most in Northern Ireland, did not want the UK to leave the European Union.

Although most in Northern Ireland still seem to want to be in the UK, most in the Republic of Ireland seem to want the entire island as part of it, or at least part of the EU.

I have long warned about trade issues being one of several factors in motivating the EU to one day take military action against the UK and USA.

The legal action that the EU is pursuing is a very small step in that direction.

The EU will not forgive the UK for Brexit, and with the proposal by the UK to scrap the Northern Ireland protocol, this is giving the EU further reasons to be angry with the UK.

The UK, and its American allies, will one day be no more–and that will mainly happen through military action that will be led by a more militaristic Europe (cf. Daniel 8:24-25, 11:39′ Revelation 13:3-5).

Marc Cebrian, a former Restored Church of God (RCG) employee, listened to a recent sermon by RCG’s David Pack titled The Greatest Unending Story! (Part 378) and reported the following quotes from it:

@ 30:57 “But I would just say to all of God’s people, you know, you’re gonna hafta sell all. You’re gonna hafta keep your lights burning. You’re gonna have to stay stay close to God. There is no evidence that the the seventh era can get salvation through this period [starting in Tammuz]. They’re councelled to buy gold tried in the fire and to overcome as Christ did. That’s gonna be after this period. So, that’s important to understand.”

@ 32:10 “And God’s people around the world, I’m telling you, if you’re sitting on funds, don’t! You’re gonna lose it soon after, anyway. So, why not why not gain eternal life with it? Continue to to be loving and kind. Continue to give alms. Why is that stressed? Because we’re going into a dark period. It’s gonna be hard. People around you don’t love anybody. They have a tremendous amount of love, I should say, for themselves. They’re lovers of their own selves. That’s who they love. Intensely!”

That being said, David Pack has long pushed for excessive amounts of money from his supporters.

Back in 2007, David Pack made a plea for the assets of people in his Restored Church of God. David Pack developed his covetousness for members assets into a doctrine he calls ‘common.’ This is supposedly based upon Acts 2:44-45.

David Pack bragged about ‘common’ as one of the doctrines he ‘restored’ in his January 2015 sermon titled First a MOSES, Now ELIJAH–130 Proofs! (Part 1).

In that sermon before getting to his definition of ‘common,’ David Pack teaches he is Elijah and that the late Herbert W. Armstrong was ‘Moses.’ The so-called ‘great doctrine of common’ is one that David Pack claims he restored to the Church of God.

Towards the end of that sermon, he decides to define some terms, like ‘common,’ as he said they have a meaning in RCG that many outside RCG do not know and that they should understand:

Also is the term ‘common.’

Now that’s a term we use to describe what you see in the very beginning of the New Testament church within two or three verses of God building His church on Pentecost A.D. 31. In Acts 2, it says they had everything in common. Now God’s people today have not been taught that. It was my job to teach it. It’s absolutely biblical that what we have we sell, whatsoever we have we give it to God’s work. That’s why we were called.

You’re not allowed to hold on to your own income. It’s all through the Gospels, all through the Book of Acts, and frankly all through the Bible that God’s people have things in common.

This will be the single greatest reason many thousands will not come back to God’s church. But others who see the biblical proof, in verse after verse after verse, of this great doctrine that God has used me to restore. It’s impossible to miss it. They will believe that they have to obey it. They will see that salvation is attached to it just as it was with the rich man in Matthew 19. And they will come ready to carry it out.

That’s the term common.

You’re not allowed to hold on to your own assets.

You have an income. You live a wonderful life. Life goes on normally. But if you were called by God, and you’re to participate in His work, and walk in His ways, you have to you have to turn over your assets to God’s church. That’s the pattern. Acts 2, 3, and 4. It’s what Christ said in the last part of Luke 14…

Be planning to do it.

You’re going to come to be convinced, if you have the Spirit of God, that I am who I say I am. And Mr. Armstrong is who I say he was, and the Bible says who he was. If I am restoring this doctrine, it is incumbent on you to obey it…

And it won’t leave you a pauper. It won’t break your life…And there will be those who obey God and those who don’t.

And when you hear the term common, think of what I will explain to you, because God uses my office to teach truth, not what God’s covetous enemies do not want you to do so that they don’t lose your support. That term is very important…

People do not want you to look into the Bible to see what is impossible, impossible to misunderstand–that is the New Testament church had all things in common. Mr. Armstrong didn’t see it.

Of course, it is NOT “absolutely biblical” that you have to give your assets to the church, beyond tithes and offerings. It is also in conflict with various parts of the Bible, like the following scriptures:

22 A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, (Proverbs 13:22)

14 Houses and riches are an inheritance from fathers, (Proverbs 19:14)

In order to leave an inheritance to your children’s children you would need to have more assets in your possession than are required for just your basic living. Actually, the NKJV Bible uses the term “inheritance” 254 times, and while some of those references refer to spiritual matters, many are physical. The NKJV Bible uses the term “riches” 92 times, and these often are in a favorable light for those who have them. Having personal assets is biblical.

The Bible even warns about those who would take a person’s inheritance:

1 Woe to those who devise iniquity,
And work out evil on their beds!
At morning light they practice it,
Because it is in the power of their hand.
2 They covet fields and take them by violence,
Also houses, and seize them.
So they oppress a man and his house,
A man and his inheritance. (Micah 2:1-2)

David Pack and those who supporting him should consider if they have devised iniquity and practicing evil through their attempts at what I view as financial oppression.

While David Pack mentioned Acts 2, 3, and 4 in his sermon, let’s go to Acts 5:

1 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession. 2 And he kept back part of the proceeds, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles’ feet. 3 But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? 4 While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.” (Acts 5:1-4)

Notice the bolded portion. Everyone in the New Testament did NOT turn all their assets over to the NT church. While the NT encourages giving and sharing, it does not state that various wealth Christians, like Lydia the seller of purple, gave away all her assets. Notice the following:

14 Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. She was a seller of purple from the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God. The Lord opened her heart to heed the things spoken by Paul. 15 And when she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay.” So she persuaded us. …

40 So they went out of the prison and entered the house of Lydia; and when they had seen the brethren, they encouraged them and departed. (Acts 16:14-15)

Notice that it was still HER house later. She still had assets. Notice also the following:

5 Now send men to Joppa, and send for Simon whose surname is Peter. 6 He is lodging with Simon, a tanner, whose house is by the sea. (Acts 10:5-6)

Simon the tanner also had his own house (and I saw the place claimed to be that location in October 2013 when I was in Joppa).

Notice also:

12 So, when he had considered this, he came to the house of Mary, the mother of John whose surname was Mark, where many were gathered together praying. (Acts 12:12-13)

7 And he departed from there and entered the house of a certain man named Justus, one who worshiped God, whose house was next door to the synagogue. (Acts 18:7)

8 On the next day we who were Paul’s companions departed and came to Caesarea, and entered the house of Philip the evangelist, who was one of the seven, and stayed with him. (Acts 21:8)

15 Greet the brethren who are in Laodicea, and Nymphas and the church that is in his house. (Colossians 4:15)

1 To Philemon our beloved friend and fellow laborer, 2 to the beloved Apphia, Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the church in your house (Philemon 1-2).

While it is true that many in Jerusalem had possessions in common for a time, it is not biblically accurate to teach that this was required of Christians. The Apostle Peter spoke against that, and the numerous examples of Christians keeping their houses also demonstrates the fallacy of David Pack’s arguments. I should also add that the Book of Philemon indicates that Philemon himself had assets, and could even expect the Apostle Paul to pay him back for spending some of them (vs. 19).

Also, the fact that David Pack ties salvation into his ‘common’ doctrine is also wrong. While it is true that Jesus dealt with a particular person who was too attached to his wealth in Luke 14, the pattern of the Bible, Old and New Testaments, is that God’s people held on to their assets, but gave tithes and offerings and tried to be generous (like Abraham, Jacob, David, Joseph of Arimathea, Philemon, etc.). The Bible also endorses personal asset ownership in the millennium:

4 But everyone shall sit under his vine and under his fig tree,
And no one shall make them afraid;
For the mouth of the Lord of hosts has spoken. (Micah 4:4)

10 In that day,’ says the Lord of hosts,
‘Everyone will invite his neighbor
Under his vine and under his fig tree.’ (Zechariah 3:10)

David Pack’s covetousness and use of deceptive words has misled many (2 Peter 2:1-3). This ‘common’ doctrine has also improperly impoverished people who listened to him and/or his ministers.

And it reminds me of what some Hindus do.

In 2014, my wife and I visited Bali, Indonesia. While there, I learned that young men are expected to go greatly in debt to make a small Hindu temple with various trappings along with their new home if they want to be married and be properly acceptable to society. The amount of money this costs is excessive, especially for those whose earnings are as low as most Balinese. I remember thinking that this would likely stop people from leaving the Hindu faith because they had so much of their resources invested in it. RCG has been following suit by demanding more than it is biblically entitled–once they have forfeited assets, this is another way that people are bullied into listening to David Pack.

The other point that I would like to make is that ‘COMMON’ IS NOT WHY thousands did not support David Pack before he taught it. He and his people can try to delude themselves into thinking that the rejection of David Pack’s improper ‘restoration’ is why people will not come with him. Yet, the reality is that he has long had the wrong priorities, doctrine, and focus.

The reality is that David Pack has lacked the proper faith to proclaim the gospel of the kingdom in a manner to fulfill Matthew 24:14. Basically, since at least 2007, he has taught that he needs MONEY to do it. And more than he has. He taught that he thought the Bible was clear that this would happen in 2013 and that thousands would come to him, but that did not happen. So now, instead of admitting that his understanding of Haggai, Zechariah, etc. were wrong, he still clings to the false doctrine, but without a specific date.

Here is some of what David Pack said, in a sermon, apparently given on 11/03/07 to his followers apparently titled Clarion Call — The Time is NOW!:

“Yeah, I know, one or two can leave and say, ‘Hey, you stopped preaching and started meddling, now you’re messing with my goods here on earth’ ”

“First Timothy 6 verse 17…’Charge them that are rich in this world’…If you were born in the United States, Britain, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, then you’re rich”

“If you hold those riches, I’m telling you, you trust in them”

“Go get a big chunk out of your home. And put your money where your mouth is and send it here. And I’m not talking about one, two, three thousand either. How about ten, twenty, thirty, fifty, or one hundred thousand dollars? Go do it”

“Wives, you can be independent in this. You have 1/2 the worth of whatever you have in your house. I’m officially telling you this…Wives, legally you have the 1/2 the funds. What are you going to do about it?…Husbands…’well, my wife is not in the church’…tell her…’you don’t have a voice woman’ ”

“Go get those assets and get them here”

“Don’t sit on vast resources that we can use now”

“We are not a splinter”

“I do not covet your silver or gold…the gold and silver is God’s and He will get it someway”

“We do not have the funds…plans…bookstores…We need to redesign our website…We need many hundreds of thousands of dollars to arrive at God’s headquarters soon…the timing is now”

“This is different…ask Him for the faith to liquidate certain assets and give it to the work”

“I’ll say it again, we are talking about liquidating existing assets…it all belongs to God and the brethren”

“We have a lot of plans so big going on in this office it would cause just this room to to rock and gyrate if you knew what was going on. We just need a lot of money and we need it post haste…I would give more if I had it”

“Herbert Armstrong wrote an article…’Prepare to greatly reduce your standard of living’…What he wrote by far, is more for us now than it was then…its all going to be taken away from us anyway brethren”

“There will be follow-up sermons. Time to bring in related points”

“Let us know how much you plan to send and when you plan to send it…You must be willing to communicate…If you do need to counsel, please do that…If you are not ready to distribute what you have…you don’t believe the flow of prophecy”

“This is announcing the last blast, the clarion call as it were, to finish the work…Whether it is 4,5,7, 9 years to go, God knows…This is liquidating assets…I have the authority to tell you to do it…I have the moral and spiritual, and ecclesiastical authority to tell you to do what I have also done”

“Get it now when it requires faith…when you are dead you don’t need it…if you named us in your wills, it can take us months or years to get it”

“The wives in the faith will say give everything you can…We don’t have the luxury of waiting years…today, leaving everything in your will simply doesn’t work”

“Now you just have a second mortgage…and frankly we flee before most of it ever becomes due”

“…some may think that they want to tap their 401k–maybe you want to let us know that…why would you want to tell us? We are starting to prepare a budget now, the needs are now…it would be nice to know now”

“Think big…Pull big triggers”

“There is only two positions you can take regarding all that I have mentioned, only two, there is no middle ground. You’re either going to yield, to submit and to follow, the clarion call that the time is now or you’re not. And postponing a decision is deciding not to do it…It’s saying I’m going to wait until it gets closer because it is not there yet…Don’t say that I’m going to wait until it gets closer, when I can see…The decision is that my treasure stays on earth or I goes to heaven. Period. I will not lay up for times to come or I will. And this is the real test of Laodicea…either hold on to your assets…or give it…God is in this decision, no question. Testing the church’s faith”

“We live in the most materialistic age in the history of the world. People trust in physical things. They trust in bank accounts…If you have excess and don’t need it, those verses mean you…That’s the Laodicean attitude…Put your money where your mouth is…Empty your assets”

“There is only one place He works…Where the…work is…that’s where God is working…one elder commented here at headquarters, if people can’t be motivated by a clarion call to finish the work such as this, why will those same people somehow believe the internal signal given to the church of the 1335? Why would they believe it?”

“This is the Laodicean age…Be careful that you don’t tell us how to spend your assets…It belongs to God..You don’t tell God or His servants how to spend it”

“Your faith is being tested. Think about that”

“We will all fast on November 17th…I have to…ask you for a very special financial sacrifice for God’s work”

“The purposes of the fast…a. To fast for God’s intervention…b.Fast for personal faith and courage to follow what I am asking you to do…c. Fast for personal strength…d…Fast for faith and courage in others with more than you to give…Go get a big chunk out of your house…their assets, IRAs, and pension funds…e. Ask God to move specific properties…that they have told us they want to sell. Pray that these properties move…that is part of what this fast is about”

I have warned people for years that David Pack is not God’s apostle, not the leader of the faithful portion of the COG, etc. It sounds to me like he is excessively trusting in money to do the work. While money is needed to do the work, I felt back then when I first heard this sermon, as well as now, that this is excessive and irresponsible for David Pack to call for people to liquidate their assets well prior to the time to flee. It also seems like covetousness to require what biblically, he is not entitled to. It is biblically irresponsible to tell people to get in debt the way David Pack has done it.

Here is some of what David Pack taught in his nearly three hour RCG 2008: The Great Turning Point sermon in Dec 2007/January 2008:

I’ve been waiting a long time…for the phase of the work that is now upon us…the work will grow large…this next phase begins this year…

Every aspect of our website…will be remodeled…We are going to spend a lot of money. Well into the six-figures…

We are the largest religious publishers in the world…

A new building is now necessary…A new world headquarters’ building for God’s work…We are planning to break ground this year…We proposed phasing four buildings in our plan…

The campus does the work of God…it will also make a powerful statement to the splinters…

We are going to have a building fund…it is part of the grand pattern of the past.

He had much of the campus built in 2013 and that is part of why he falsely believed that thousands of others would come to be with him in 2013.

In 2013, David Pack started a series of posts about “reunification.” Basically these posts are based upon a false hope that David Pack has that once he built at least part of his hoped for headquarters buildings, that those in the various COG groups would flock to him. He decided that portions of the Book of Haggai pointed to the fulfillment of his dreams on August 30, 2013. Here are some statements from David Pack’s posts related to his fantasy (boldinghis):

All of God’s people wish they were back together. This is heard everywhere. But these many thousands have come to believe it is “just not time” to be in one organization. If you feel this way, you are about to see why this is wrong. God not only wants His people together again, but is planning to bring it about…If you are in the United Church of God (UCG), Living Church of God (LCG), Philadelphia Church of God (PCG), Church of God, a Worldwide Association (COGwa), or any other splinter or sliver that came out of the WCG, this will be the single most important article you will ever read…the Work of The Restored Church of God is mushrooming and exploding—think of just our media efforts going up like a rocket all over the world! Thousands of letters are arriving each week at our Headquarters, and we now project it cannot be long before this number will be over 10,000…

All Will Come Here! …

A towering question faces YOU—and you must confront it: Must every person with God’s Spirit—regardless of where they now attend—come to The Restored Church of God or lose the Holy Spirit? Haggai Fulfilled—When Reunification Occurs

Most are by now probably wondering: When will the events described in Haggai take place? Before which Feast of Tabernacles (remember, Haggai means “My Feast”) will brethren be reunified? The answer is found by returning to Haggai 1. Verses 14 and 15 state that “all the remnant of the people…came and did work in the House of the Lord of Hosts, their God, in the four and twentieth day of the sixth month, in the second year of Darius the king.” We saw in an earlier announcement that this is the 24th day of the sixth month (Elul) in God’s sacred calendar.

There are certain immediate implications to Haggai 1:14-15…

First Sabbath Together

Next is the Sabbath of August 31. You may at this time of course believe or disbelieve what follows. You will later be glad it was written and can be readily referenced. Obviously, when the size of the remnant joining us becomes clearer, as well as at least generally where most of these brethren live—countries and cities—more detail can follow…and very quickly. This will include seeing how many ministers are faithful and also where they live—countries and cities.

In six short weeks, the “Church of God landscape” will forever change. Saturday, August 31 will be a Sabbath unlike any other in history. It will be the first time in decades that all of God’s people around the world will be meeting together in the same locations for services. Words cannot describe the excitement and happiness that will be everywhere soon after this reunification. In many areas, much of or possibly even entire congregations might “roll over” into The Restored Church of God. Brethren will have had weeks to prepare for this and to “consider their ways” before God. Those who come will have been led to return to the Body of Christ the day before this Sabbath. Reread this last sentence.

Realize that a host of logistical details must be worked out for this to occur. God has been planning this event for thousands of years—at least 3,000—and His Church has been preparing for it for almost a year. Headquarters and our ministers will be ready to receive potentially a great many phone calls from splinter ministers and members even in the days and weeks before August 31.

The Feast of Tabernacles

Next, the 2013 Feast of Tabernacles: This will also be among the most special and inspiring times in Church history. It will be a Feast of unity and harmony among all of God’s people. Everyone will keep this joyous occasion as members of The Restored Church of God in scores of sites across the world. At this time, we have 21 sites, but we anticipate adding many more. In some areas, former splinter brethren will attend our current sites. In other locations, we will have to quickly add new ones. In still other areas, splinter sites will simply become Restored sites. The total number of Feast sites, and where they are, will depend entirely on how many brethren answer the “stirring” of Jesus Christ to return to His Church, and in what areas they live. Details may begin (and only begin) to come into view on the first of the month of Elul (in God’s calendar—August 7 in the Roman Calendar). A more complete picture will emerge by Elul 24 (August 30). Right now, all are urged to have in their thinking that they will be reassigned to a new nearby Feast site, and those who choose to return to the Body of Christ will attend with what becomes a much bigger organization—probably significantly bigger than the largest splinter! Last Friday’s announcement closed with when the Haggai prophecy will occur—that all brethren will be reunited this summer, in time to attend the Feast of Tabernacles together in 2013. (Recall that Haggai means “My Feast.”) This announcement presents 24 reasons for this timing. There is much proof!…The dates revealed in Haggai have nothing whatsoever to do with any decision that I made. God decided that this prophecy would be fulfilled after planning it over 3,000 years ago (it is referenced in several Psalms). I am not so arrogant as to decide what God must do and when. I repeat again, these events in NO WAY parallel the Return of Jesus Christ. This prophecy is directly tied to a date…The men leading PCG, LCG, UCG and COGwa are God’s ENEMIES!…

Now comes a series of reasons Haggai’s prophecy will be fulfilled this year. They are summarized, with only a very little detail added. More could be said of each, but the descriptions given will suffice to those willing to think just a little about them. Realize there are over 30 more reasons—many of them very powerful—that I have left off the list because some will be covered later or because they would only be recognized as proofs by our Headquarters ministry (involving various miracles, some big). Readers would be largely unable to appreciate them as proofs:…

3) Also related, if God waited 2,500 years to reveal the prophecy’s meaning (3,000 years when various related much older Psalms are considered), is not His waiting done? Does His revealing it not signal that He has reached the time to fulfill it rather than having reached a point one, two or three years out?

4) Next, why would God wait longer? What would He wait for? The remnant is absolutely ripe for deliverance.

5) Internally, and this is no small thing, God’s Church is truly ready to expand the Work in a BIG WAY. The prophecy features this as the MAIN PURPOSE of the remnant returning! Without the prophecy’s fulfillment, this expansion would be delayed one year—or more! Why would God notify His Church of the prophecy’s existence at the very same time our staff is ready, our websites are ready, our literature is ready and even God’s college is ready for more students if the prophecy were not imminent? Why would God notify His Church if HE were not ready?

6) Related to this, the buildings on our campus can very soon handle significantly more staff than we have now. This is already true without the other two buildings scheduled for completion in the late fall. However, this extra size works perfectly if the prophecy occurs this year.

7) Also related, but separate, our infrastructure is ready to receive and serve a much larger flock this fall! This includes field ministry being ready, but also other things…

I repeat: There are many more reasons for a 2013 fulfillment, with a few of a personal nature—and others involving God moving miraculously to reveal crucial things at certain times within an extraordinarily complex prophecy that involves hundreds of verses. Complete Destruction!

We learned that God is bringing “desolation” on the splinters…the objective person concludes that God foretells complete desolation of the splinters and slivers…

Some Final Points

Next consider that God has never dealt with people or done with leaders exactly as He plans with the three shepherds. In fact, there may be other miraculous events immediately surrounding this one…

Of course, many are eager to learn “Who are the three shepherds?” We will know soon enough. But we might ask: Which three leaders are the greatest obstructionists to God’s stated purpose in Haggai—returning HIS people to doing HIS Work? (The Final Announcement. I denounced this at the time, and David Pack was proven to be wrong about his reunification then (he still believes it will happen, but now he is hesitant about date).

He has also had many other false predictions.

02/02/21 p.m. Someone posted the following related to parts of a sermon by RCG’s David Pack:

Sermon 285

• 48:50 – In 2014, I explained about the walls of Jericho falling down, now exactly 7 years later [2021 by his count] is when the Father will return. [Unleavened Bread]

• 49:33 – I knew nothing of this as recently as of last Friday morning…

• 54:15 – Doubling down on a lot of crazy math. 1,335, 1,290, 11.5 days, 3.5 days, etc…it intersects with Christ’s return and now counts down, not up!

• 57:18-1:06:47 – If Christ doesn’t come this Friday, allowing the Father to arrive at the last Day of Unleavened Bread, then it blows up the beginning of the 1290 on Trumpets! The Eighth Head then blows up the world!!!! (RCG foretells 8 heads, not 7, as in WCG) [Note: He really locked himself into this one, so when Christ isn’t here on Friday, it will blow up this new picture] 

• 1:09:16 – More, very specific math and nonsensical time cycles. “The Millennium ends on the Last Day of Unleavened Bread, it’s impossible to argue with it, unless the sun and moon go away. You can’t argue with it! If you want to know the date the Millennium ends its April 3 3028. Dead on! [You are shocked!] I can see the blood loss in your faces, just like the ministers!

• 1:12:07 – It’s a perfect picture…only the whole thing crashes if Christ doesn’t come this Friday.

• 1:25:56 – How would God’s messenger [David Pack] eventually know that Jesus Christ was finally coming quickly and in haste? How would he absolutely know the series is over? Simple, a hard date was shown to him that could not be breached. We finally learn how this man knew he finished his charge. He saw a giant blinking red calendar stop sign.

• 1:26:26 – If this whole picture is wrong I hope you will forgive me, since we will need to move on to some other near term date that I have no idea. …

• 1:28:40 – God streamed this concluding list through my mind without notes or the Bible. I told my staff, type this message, it was tape recorded just as I speak it, (that is also known as automatic writing) “All Israel rises [will be resurrected] this Friday night! 

• 1:46:45 – It’s a divine act [Dave’s inspiration in Part 285], if all these prophecies are at stake, would God let me mess up? He had to just stream it into me!

• 1:49:34 – Sabat 24, is this Friday night. May we now see Christ, the kingdom, all the New Testament saints and all Israel [resurrected] in just over 4 days.

While David Pack needs to repent and then to be forgiven, no, it is not possible for Jesus to return this week. Furthermore, it is not possible for the Millennium to end as early as April 3, 3028.

David Pack is NOT leading God’s work.

As far as who the Bible teaches the work will get done, notice something from Zechariah:

6 So he answered and said to me:

“This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:
‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’
Says the Lord of hosts.
7 ‘Who are you, O great mountain?
Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain!
And he shall bring forth the capstone
With shouts of “Grace, grace to it!”‘”

8 Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying:

9 “The hands of Zerubbabel
Have laid the foundation of this temple;
His hands shall also finish it.
Then you will know
That the Lord of hosts has sent Me to you.
10 For who has despised the day of small things?
For these seven rejoice to see
The plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel.
They are the eyes of the Lord,
Which scan to and fro throughout the whole earth.” (Zechariah 4:6-10)

And that is why we in the Continuing Church of God believe we are leading what I have termed the final phase of the work. We successfully reached millions on very little income, because we have not “despised the day of small things” and we know God will be faithful.

It will be through God’s Spirit, not a bunch of money or buildings intended to impress those outside of RCG to join with RCG as David Pack has long hoped. Sadly, many are still listening to him and his covetous pleas for money.

Of course, I have long warned against RCG, never believed that David Pack was an apostle, and even question whether RCG is actually a COG (though it most likely has quite a few confused members who are). People can do what they want with their assets, but I, of course, will not be one to send RCG any.

I have long felt that the following applied to David Pack:

1 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3 By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber. (2 Peter 2:1-3)

12 But these, like natural brute beasts made to be caught and destroyed, speak evil of the things they do not understand, and will utterly perish in their own corruption, 13 and will receive the wages of unrighteousness, as those who count it pleasure to carouse in the daytime. They are spots and blemishes, carousing in their own deceptions while they feast with you, 14 having eyes full of adultery and that cannot cease from sin, enticing unstable souls. They have a heart trained in covetous practices, and are accursed children. (2 Peter 2:12-14)

18 For when they speak great swelling words of emptiness, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through lewdness, the ones who have actually escaped from those who live in error. 19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage. (2 Peter 2:18-20)

I believe that David Pack is false, is covetous, causes the way of truth to be blasphemed, is lustful for money, and speaks great swelling words of emptiness because of his own corrupted ego.

Hopefully, people in RCG will wake up. And David Pack basically states in that sermon that those who are faithful in RCG will send him their assets and that the others are not faithful. While David Pack can say what he wants, I consider many of his statements to be false and irresponsible. Sadly, I also believe his position will reflect poorly on the COGs.

The Laodicean Church Era has been predominant circa 1986 A.D. to present. The Laodiceans are non-Philadelphians who mainly descended from the old WCG or its offshoots. Disney and the Fight for Our Children

Disney is 99 years old. It has carefully curated a reputation as the main seller of family entertainment to American parents and children.

This megaconglomerate owns abc, espn, Marvel, Pixar, Lucasfilm, Fox Entertainment, National Geographic, Touchstone Pictures and dozens of other companies. It is worth $67 billion to its shareholders for the core reason that it can reliably use music and images to attract and influence children and their parents.

Disney is the mainstream of American entertainment. It has shaped generations’ ideas and feelings about childhood, fatherhood, motherhood, family, romance, fear, rebellion, deceit, magic, politics, race, killing and more. Disney has been teaching you—and it wants to teach your children much more.

Most of us don’t realize how much we have already absorbed what you could call “Disney attitudes” about love, romance and even sex. And our children will not realize what they have absorbed as their minds were fed and educated by their entertainment. It will all just seem normal and right.

Executives at Disney are well aware of this. They and their cohorts at other media corporations are exercising this power to contribute to a single trend that can, all by itself, destroy our society.

Here is how.

Behind the Scenes

Disney is “adding queerness” to children’s programming wherever it can, as one executive producer in the company put it. The producer said she was delighted by how welcoming other Disney leaders were as she implemented her “not-at-all-secret gay agenda.”

That producer is currently working on an animated show about a family. This show is scheduled to include at least 17 celebrity sexual deviants voicing characters, including two homosexuals of different races who have adopted a 14-year-old activist daughter.

Her comments came from a conference call that included a Disney corporate president who described herself as the mother of “one transgender child and one pansexual child.” This woman celebrated the fact that Disney has “many, many, many lgbtqia characters in our stories,” but then fretted, “yet we don’t have enough leads.” She then tearfully pushed for half of Disney characters to be either sexually deviant or racial minorities.

What was the purpose of the conference call? To organize Disney executives into a political push: Make it legal for teachers to give lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and other sex instruction in the classroom—to third graders, second graders, first graders and kindergartners. …

Disney is famous for its unique, memorable characters, but there is a reason why some of its characters appear and act the way they do. For example, homosexual lyricist Howard Ashman convinced animators to pattern the Ursula villain from The Little Mermaid after a cross-dressing performer called Divine. Homosexual artist Andreas Deja drew comedic sidekick LeFou from Beauty and the Beast, villain Jafar from Aladdin, and villain Scar from The Lion King with effeminate characteristics, without making them overtly homosexual. This animation strategy is called “queer coding,” and it is used to desensitize the viewer to homosexuality and transgenderism.

The strategy these lyricists and animators used was spelled out clearly in a November 1987 article in Guide, a homosexual magazine, titled “The Overhauling of Straight America,” published two years before The Little Mermaid hit theaters.

“The first order of business is desensitization of the American public concerning gays and gay rights,” wrote Marshall K. Kirk and Hunter Madsen. “To desensitize the public is to help it view homosexuality with indifference instead of with keen emotion. Ideally, we would have straights register differences in sexual preference the way they register different tastes for ice cream or sports games: She likes strawberry, and I like vanilla; he follows baseball, and I follow football. No big deal.

“At least in the beginning, we are seeking public desensitization and nothing more. We do not need and cannot expect a full ‘appreciation’ or ‘understanding’ of homosexuality from the average American. You can forget about trying to persuade the masses that homosexuality is a good thing. But if only you can get them to think that it is just another thing, with a shrug of their shoulders, then your battle for legal and social rights is virtually won. And to get to that shoulder-shrug stage, gays as a class must cease to appear mysterious, alien, loathsome and contrary. A large-scale media campaign will be required in order to change the image of gays in America.” …

Normalizing Pedophilia

Conservative media outlets have compared Disney’s behavior to “child grooming.” This is a grossly insufficient term for a despicable practice: when an adult builds trust and an emotional connection with a child for the purpose of then manipulating, exploiting, abusing and finally raping him or her.

Influencing, desensitizing, grooming, programming, removing the inhibitions of, and destroying the purity and innocence of children is a horrendous crime. Nothing about it is for children’s benefit—it is all for the sick satisfaction of the adults doing it. …

Parents, take seriously your God-given responsibility to be your child’s educator. Know what he or she is being taught in school and what he or she is watching and reading. Take every step necessary to defend them. Train him in the way you know he should go (Proverbs 22:6).  (Hilliker J, Miller A. The Trumpet, July 2022)

Disney wants little children to be groomed to accept LGBTRQ+ teachings and its agenda. This is an agenda that should not be taught to children (or anyone else for that matter).

Disney, like Satan, often starts to subtly push sin, then goes all out.

Disney is more and more open about its promotion of abominations.

The Bible says to:

1 Cry aloud, spare not;
Lift up your voice like a trumpet;
Tell My people their transgression,
And the house of Jacob their sins. (Isaiah 58:1, NKJV throughout, unless otherwise noted)

They have been denounced here multiple times (e.g. NP: Disney President Admits ‘Not-So-Secret Gay Agenda’, Vows HALF of Disney Characters Will Be LGBT).

Disney should be ashamed. The following applies to many promoters of sin:

9 The look on their countenance witnesses against them, And they declare their sin as Sodom; They do not hide it. Woe to their soul! For they have brought evil upon themselves. (Isaiah 3:9)

But it is terribly wrong.

In Genesis 19:24-25, we read that Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed by God.

And why did it happen?

7 as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. (Jude 7)

Homosexuality is a form of sexual immorality that involves going after “strange flesh.”

Why mention this in the 21st century?

Because God turned:

6…the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly. (2 Peter 2:6)

Thus, the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah were to serve as an example to those who would live as they did.

The prophet Ezekiel twice associates “pride” with Sodom (Ezekiel 16:49,56)–which is also something we see with the LGBTQ+ movement today.

Disney’s LGBTQ promotion is consistent with the following prophecy:

1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, 2 speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, (1 Timothy 4:1-3)

Now, let’s look at a few scriptures from the Old Testament:

5 A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman’s garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the Lord your God. (Deuteronomy 22:5)

22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination. (Leviticus 18:22)

13 If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. (Leviticus 20:13)

Let me also point out that the New Testament says that those who approve of such behaviors, even if they do not do them themselves, are worthy of death (Romans 1:18-32).

Notice what God says parents should do:

6 Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6).

Warn your children that the LGBTQ+ agenda is an unacceptable abomination.

Denounce attempts promoting sinful abominations.

The truth is that no one, child or adult, should be trying to promote abominations.

Is Disney promoting abominations? According to the Bible it most certainly is. In addition to “Out” which is focused about a homosexual male and “Onward” which also condoned homosexuality, it is a big promoter of “Pride Month.” So, much so that on June 27, 2021, Disney+ intends to stream “This is Me: Pride Celebration Spectacular” hosted by “Nina West” that stage name of Andrew Levitt, who was born male but now dresses and performs as a female–contrary to scriptures like Deuteronomy 22:5. Is Disney inviting the wrath of God? Were pride, sexual immorality, and going after “strange flesh” reasons that Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed? What should parents and children do? What does the Bible teach? Dr. Thiel discusses and addresses these issues with scriptures and other information.

That is an agenda that will end in death and destruction according to the Bible.

This does not bode well for the USA.

The Bible teaches:

Disney is doing the opposite of what scripture is teaching and that will bring disaster.

The US Federal Reserve raised interest rates:

Fed Hikes Rates By The Most In 28 Years, Signals Volcker-Era Is Back

June 15, 2022

The Fed hiked rates by a stunning (but expected) 75bps – the biggest hike since 1994. Esther George dissented (preferring 50bps). Fed expresses that is “strongly committed” to fighting inflation.

The Fed sharply raised its rates outlook (to meet market expectations) and sharply lowered its growth and employment outlooks.

The last time the Fed hiked 75bps, we got the ‘Tequila Crisis’ and The IMF had to bail out Mexico. …

Here’s what The Fed did:

• The Fed raised its benchmark rate by 75 basis points — the biggest increase since 1994 — to a range of 1.5%-1.75%, in line with investors’ and economists’ expectations
• Kansas City Fed President Esther George dissented in favor of a 50 basis-point hike
• FOMC adds a line saying it’s “strongly committed to returning inflation to its 2% objective” and removes prior language that said the FOMC “expects inflation to return to its 2% objective and the labor market to remain strong”
• Reiterates path on balance-sheet reduction that took effect June 1, shrinking bond portfolio by $47.5 billion a month and stepping up to $95 billion in September https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/fomc-2

The higher the interest rates, the higher the US budget deficit as the US has to pay interest, currently, on just over $30 trillion in debt. When interest rates get back to more historical levels, this will be part of a downward spiral that will essentially take the entire US economy down with it.

Via Greg Hunter’s USAWatchdog.com,

Precious metals expert and financial writer Bill Holter said in early April that he thought we did not have much time until the financial meltdown started.  He gave it 60 days.  …

The world is at debt levels never seen before, and Holter contends rising interest rates are the key driver here and now.  Holter explains, “Interest rates are the key to the whole collapse…”

“… Mortgage rates, as of right now, are about 6.15%.  Mortgage rates started the year just over 3%.  In the fourth quarter of last year, we had mortgage rates as low as 2.75%.  What that tells you is if you qualified for a $1 million mortgage at the end of last year, you only qualify for a $500,000 mortgage now.  If you are a property owner, that means the pool of potential buyers is far less than 6 months ago, simply because interest rates have basically doubled.”

Holter also says that means property values are dramatically cut.

Interest rates have been on a more than 40-year downward trend since Fed Head Paul Volcker raised a key rate to 20% in the early 1980’s.  Holter points out,

“We basically just went through a 40-year bull market on bonds where interest rates did nothing but go downward for 40 years…

That 40-year trend is now broken, and rates are headed higher.  It just so happens the system is more indebted than it has ever been on any ratio or any basis you want to look at.  What I am getting at is these higher interest rates are blowing up the debt bubble.”

Don’t expect the Fed to come in and save the day like it did in the last financial meltdown back in 2008 and 2009.

The Fed bailed out the economy when it started printing money like crazy and never stopped.  Holter says,

“The bottom line is the world’s financial system and, thus, real economies have been on life support since 2008.  

What people should understand is when the Fed says they are going to raise interest rates and they are going to shrink their balance sheet, that says they are pulling the plug out of the wall.  They are taking the system off life support.  The bottom line is the system cannot live without life support. 

The Ponzi scheme cannot continue without new capital coming into the system.  They are pulling the plug is what they are doing. . . . It’s game over.”

Yes, this has been a type of Ponzi scheme (see also ‘The great federal-debt Ponzi scheme’).

Furthermore, if the USA were to have 20% interest rates or so, similar to the Paul Volcker era, that would be in the $6 trillion range. To put that in perspective, the current USA federal budget is $4.79 trillion.

The USA cannot afford real high interest rates.

Others also realize that.

Notice the following end-time prophecy and consider how it would apply to the USA:

2 And the Lord answered me:

“Write the vision;
make it plain on tablets,
so he may run who reads it.
3 For still the vision awaits its appointed time;
it hastens to the end—it will not lie.
If it seems slow, wait for it;
it will surely come; it will not delay.

4 “Behold, his soul is puffed up; it is not upright within him,
but the righteous shall live by his faith.

5 “Moreover, wine is a traitor,
an arrogant man who is never at rest.
His greed is as wide as Sheol;
like death he has never enough.
He gathers for himself all nations
and collects as his own all peoples.”

6 Shall not all these take up their taunt against him, with scoffing and riddles for him, and say,

“Woe to him who heaps up what is not his own—
for how long?—
and loads himself with pledges!”
7 Will not your debtors suddenly arise,
and those awake who will make you tremble?
Then you will be spoil for them.
8 Because you have plundered many nations,
all the remnant of the peoples shall plunder you,
for the blood of man and violence to the earth,
to cities and all who dwell in them. (Habakkuk 2:2-8; English Standard Version)

The USA is greedy. It has been issuing “pledges,” like Treasury bills and bonds, that it never intends to pay back.

The USA is also the most indebted nation in the history of humanity and those in it should try to understand this prophecy. Rising interest rates mean that it will cost the US government more to service its debt–this will one day be truly unsustainable.

Notice that God tells Habakkuk that those who read this should run–that means they should take proper spiritual action now (cf. Luke 21:36), and then, eventually physically flee (cf. Revelation 12:14-16).

The Anglo-American world order will come to an end. Accumulation of debt, and then having to pay historically ‘normal’ interest rates will strain the national economies of the USA and UK more than almost anyone will believe. It will be a financial crisis beyond what Jerome Powell or Donald Trump would consider possible.

Those who think the current world order with the USA’s dollar on top will last several decades are in error.

The idea that the debt does not matter is a false and arrogant belief that many politicians, pundits, and media personnel hold.

The Bible teaches:

18 Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall. (Proverbs 16:18, NJKV)

It is prideful arrogance that gets humans to think that they can essentially completely control the economy and just borrow and print up money. They cannot. Weather, political events, diseases, wars, morality, technology, and other factors play a role.

Plus, there is also the matter of debt accumulation by the USA and biblical prophecy.

Those who will believe the Bible will take the words that God spoke to the prophet Habakkuk seriously.

Consider further, what will happen if a series of ‘natural’ and other disasters hits the USA?

Even if it doesn’t (but I am certain such will happen), notice something I wrote in my book Biden-Harris: Prophecies and Destruction:

Debt is a prophesied problem (cf. Habakkuk 2:6-8). But many in the media as well as politically-inclined economists do not see it that way—but that is too short sighted (cf. Ecclesiastes 8:11).

The time will come when the U.S.A. government will no longer be able to borrow at low interest rates and/or it will create more money electronically and/or via the printing press to try to continue.

Make no mistake about it — massive inflation is coming.

The U.S.A. dollar will ultimately crash and be worthless. That “pride” of American power will be broken (cf. Leviticus 26:19).

A Biden-Harris Administration has asserted it will take debt raising steps. …

No nation in the history of humankind has ever accumulated as much debt as the United States of America (because the U.K. may have close to the highest amount of per capita debt, its fate would be similar). Destruction is coming.

However, the relationship between debt accumulation and prophesied destruction remains unapparent to many. Because there is a time lag, many ignore that there will be real consequences (cf. Ecclesiastes 8:11; Habakkuk 2:3,6-8). Yet, these increases of debt are utterly dangerous.

When the time comes that the Federal Reserve is no longer able to keep interest rates artificially low, the U.S.A. will continue past the point of no return. That will become one of the final factors that will cause creditors to rise up and destroy the U.S.A.

Yes, the USA is having more inflation. And while the Federal Reserve can impact that, neither it nor the US government can stop weather problems, earthquakes, or the prophecies in Matthew 24:4-8 that will lead up to the time of the Great Tribulation. The USA is in a precarious financial position and it getting to the proverbial time when one metaphoric straw will break its back.

Do not believe that the USA will continue indefinitely and that its debt can continue to rise.

Repentance is needed.

The USA and its Anglo-Saxon allies will not last to the end of this century–and perhaps not even until 2028

Pope Doubles Down On NATO-Ukraine Comments: Russian Invasion Was “Provoked”

Pope Francis has doubled down on prior controversial statements suggesting the Russia-Ukraine conflict is largely NATO’s fault, asserting also that “war cannot be reduced to distinction between good guys and bad guys” – as the Vatican’s own headline to the interview reads.

In statements published Tuesday by the Jesuit magazine La Civiltà Cattolica, the Roman Catholic leaders said that the Russian invasion was “perhaps somehow provoked” while again saying there were signs that NATO had been “barking at the gates of Russia” in the run-up.

The pontiff still condemned what he called the “ferocity and cruelty of the Russian troops” while warning against a pure ‘good vs. evil’ fairytale narrative of the conflict.

Just like with his initial similar comments made at the start of May, these latest statements have triggered outrage among Western pundits who’ve called for escalating military support to Ukraine at the expense of dialogue with Moscow toward negotiating a settlement to end the war:

“We need to move away from the usual Little Red Riding Hood pattern, in that Little Red Riding Hood was good and the wolf was the bad one,” Francis said. “Something global is emerging and the elements are very much entwined.”

That’s when in the interview he provided more context to his early May statements on the war. …

He added: “We do not see the whole drama unfolding behind this war, which was, perhaps, somehow either provoked or not prevented.” …

According to Vatican News, the pontiff additionally described that even beyond Ukraine-Russian, “the world is at war…

“We see what is happening now in Ukraine in a certain way because it is closer to us and pricks our sensibilities more. But there are other countries far away—think of some parts of Africa, northern Nigeria, northern Congo—where war is ongoing and nobody cares. Think of Myanmar and the Rohingya. The world is at war. Today, for me, World War III has been declared.”

These Signs of the 4 Horsemen Have Begun

Are we at the time of the ride of at least some of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse? If so, are many prophecy watchers missing signs associated with them? History shows that authoritarian totalitarian regimes tend to arise after famines and/or pestilences. Those are events associated with three of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse. Could the beginning of sorrows, and the associated ride of the first horseman of false ecumenical religion, have started in the Fall of 2009? What is the significance of this rider having a bow? Is Satan the prince of the power of the air? Did Dr. Thiel warn of a prophetic threat of a “novel” coronavirus back in 2013? Could COVID-19 been related to the taking away the peace from the earth that is associated with the ride of the red horse, the second horsemen of war? What are some of the ramifications of the Russia-Ukraine military conflict and the opening of the second seal? Was Amos inspired to write that God does nothing without revealing it to his servants the prophets? Who warned of these matters? The pale horse of the fourth seal mentions one-quarter of humankind being subject to being killed by the sword, hunger, and pestilence–will this be a factor in the rise of the Beast of Revelation 13? Is persecution associated with the start of the Great tribulation and the rise of the Beast? Why is the Beast going to be in charge of a European-based empire? Will the opening of the first four seals and the starts of the rides of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse get Europe to reorganize such as is prophesied in Revelation 17:12-13? That being said, other than being a bit more accurate than the main Western press, why else might Pope Francis have suggested that the Russian “special military operation” into Ukraine was provoked?

Because as a Jesuit ecumenical leader, Pope Francis wants the Russian Orthodox to come into some type of ecumenical unity with the Vatican.

That is consistent with the objectives of Vatican II–which is something Pope Francis feels many in the USA are not properly supporting.

Pope Francis: There are many ‘restorers’ in the US who do not accept Vatican II

There are many “restorers” in the United States who do not accept the Second Vatican Council, Pope Francis said in an interview published on Tuesday.

Speaking to the editors of Jesuit journals, he criticized what he called “restorationism” in the Church, which he defined as the failure to accept Vatican II, the ecumenical council held from 1962 to 1965.

He said: “Restorationism has come to gag the Council. The number of groups of ‘restorers’ — for example, in the United States there are many — is significant.”

“The problem is precisely this: in some contexts, the Council has not yet been accepted. It is also true that it takes a century for a Council to take root. We still have 40 years to make it take root, then!”

Pope Francis cited opposition to Vatican II when he issued the motu proprio Traditionis custodes in July 2021, limiting celebrations of the Traditional Latin Mass.

In time, it will become even more apparent that the Vatican is more interested in unity with the Eastern Orthodox Church (officially known as the Orthodox Catholic Church) than Roman Catholics within the USA.

Since Vatican II (a major Roman Catholic ecumenical council that ran from 1962–1965), many Roman Catholics have been justifiably concerned that doctrinal compromise for the sake of ecumenical unity with those outside of fellowship of Rome was inevitable.

The Orthodox have long taught that the Church of Rome (known sometimes as Latins) will change doctrines to those of the Orthodox. A document known as the Anonymou Prophecy of 1053 refers to this as the “Deferring of the Latins to the error-free faith of the Orthodox,” it then claims “The Orthodox Faith will expand from East to West” (Tzima Otto, p. 116).

To take this even further, I believe that the final pontiff, which I also consider will be a type of antipope, will be the final Antichrist and will approve the battle that will end up conquering the USA (cf. Daniel 11:39; Revelation chapter 13).

Statements from Pope Francis are consistent with that understanding.

Scientists have concluded that the universe will continue to expand forever:

Those of us in the Churches of God have long believed this based, not upon telescopic images, but the following scriptures:

7 Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end (Isaiah 9:7).

33 And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end. (Luke 1:33)

The only way for God’s kingdom to continue to increase forever is if the universe expands forever.

Now, this expansion view causes scientists a problem.

Which is?

That it means that the universe had a beginning.  Of course, Bible believers have always know this as the Bible starts out with the following:

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. (Genesis 1:1)

Yet, as certain scientists did not want to accept that the universe had a beginning, some instead tended to want to believe a certain type of nonsense called the oscillating universe theory.   I always felt that that theory violated the known laws of physics and was an attempt by some scientists to try to persuade themselves that there the universe had no beginning and that there was no God (for more details, see the article Is God’s Existence Logical?).

Furthermore, notice a statement from Nobel Prize winner Dr. George Wald, from Harvard University related to the origin of life:

The reasonable view was to believe in spontaneous generation (life from nothing); the only alternative, to believe in a single, primary act of supernatural creation. There is no third position . . . One has only to contemplate the magnitude of this task to concede that the spontaneous generation of a living organism is impossible. (Scott I. The God Solution: Are You Ready? Xlibris Corporation, 2013, p. 41)

Believing something that is impossible is not scientific–accepting evolution as the origin of life is another false religion.

Therefore, the acceptance of a supernatural creation (Genesis 1) is the only scientific option according to statements like the above.

Sadly, scientists are still not generally publicly ready to embrace the idea of a Creator.

But the fact that they are starting to admit that the universe will expand forever and their explanation for life is impossible, hopefully means that they are distancing themselves away from the oscillating universe theory and the spontaneous evolutionary emergence of life.

And without those theories, they have to admit that the universe had a beginning in a specific point in time and some supernatural being started life.  And the Bible is clear about that (Genesis 1:1).
