King Charles III participated in a pagan-type ceremony.

Inside King Charles’s fiery gathering that shone a light on his beliefs

It wasn’t exactly a run-of-the-mill royal occasion.

In the sunny gardens of the Highgrove estate, I stood in a circle with King Charles and an eclectic group who were attending his first “Harmony Summit”.

We raised our arms in honour of nature as we stood around a fire, which was burning within a ring of flowers.

Presiding over the fire ceremony, in which we rotated as we honoured the north, south, east and west and then Mother Earth, was an Indigenous leader – an Earth Elder – wearing a headdress and a dazzling robe of blue feathers.

A conch shell was blown. Butterflies flew around the flowers. And, in a concession to modernity, as well as holding up feathers in a blessing for the King, the elder was reading his incantations from an iPhone.

There were people reaching to the sky, wearing colourful face paint and elaborate necklaces, while I held my palms up self-consciously, melting in my M&S suit.

The summit was a celebration of the King’s philosophy of harmony with nature – an inaugural event that the King’s Foundation hopes will become a regular gathering.

It brought together representatives from Indigenous peoples, including from tribes in the Amazon, along with environmentalists, climate campaigners, organic farmers, herbalists, educators, crafts people and philanthropists. …

The King, in a light summer suit, spoke a few quiet words of welcome, wearing a circlet of feathers and a scarf that had been draped ceremonially around his shoulders.

A humane, ruminative, humorous and quietly radical figure, he was at the centre of what he hopes will become the first of many such gatherings. …

In his book, Harmony – A New Way of Looking at our World, the King describes his purpose as a “call to revolution”, and writes that he recognises the strength of the word. …

Within strands of Christianity, the King is also said to be have been interested in the Orthodox faith and its use of icons.

In October 2019, there was a pagan ceremony at the Vatican which involved a naked statue related to an Amazonian deity called Pachamama. This caused a stir among Roman Catholics as the ceremony seemed to be authorized by then Pope Francis who actually blessed that statue. The Apostle Paul warned the faithful:

14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? 15 And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? 16 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said:

“I will dwell in them
And walk among them.
I will be their God,
And they shall be My people.”

17 Therefore

“Come out from among them
And be separate, says the Lord.
Do not touch what is unclean,
And I will receive you.” (2 Corinthians 6:14-17)

By blessing the pagan statue, Pope Francis figuratively, and likely literally, touched and promoted the unclean.

Then Pope Francis, as well as King Charles, have both promoted an interfaith globalist agenda.

As far as King Charles himself goes, he has tended to be ecumenical.

As Prince Charles, he also had been a member and supporter of the globalist World Economic Forum (WEF). Perhaps it should be mentioned that in 2020, then Prince Charles declared that there was no alternative but to support the WEF’s ‘Great Reset’ agenda (https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2020/06/great-reset-launch-prince-charles-guterres-georgieva-burrow/).

Related to Charles and religion, notice the following from the past:

In 1994, Charles triggered controversy when he said he would be defender of faith rather than Defender of the Faith, in a desire to reflect Britain’s religious diversity. There were suggestions that the coronation oath might be altered.

In 2015, he clarified his position in an interview with BBC Radio 2, saying his views had been misinterpreted. He said: “As I tried to describe, I mind about the inclusion of other people’s faiths and their freedom to worship in this country. And it’s always seemed to me that, while at the same time being Defender of the Faith, you can also be protector of faiths.”

He pointed out that the Queen had said her role was “not to defend Anglicanism to the exclusion of other religions. Instead, the Church [of England] has a duty to protect the free practice of all faiths in this country. I think in that sense she was confirming what I was really trying to say – perhaps not very well – all those years ago.”

It is his interreligious promotions and connections with groups like the World Economic Forum and other groups that have raised concerns of some. After all, even ‘satanism’ is considered to be a faith–as is Amazonian paganism.

That said, Charles sits on the throne of David. Even in the Old Testament we read that many who sat on that throne were not faithful to the religion that they were supposed to be.

The Throne of David Was to Continue

Let’s look at some prophecies related to the throne of David:

⁴⁵ … King Solomon shall be blessed, and the throne of David shall be established before the Lord forever. (1 Kings 2:45)

³ “I have made a covenant with My chosen, I have sworn to My servant David: ⁴ ‘Your seed I will establish forever, And build up your throne to all generations.’”(Psalm 89:3-4)

² … Hear the word of the Lord, O king of Judah, you who sit on the throne of David, you and your servants and your people who enter these gates! (Jeremiah 22:2)

¹⁷ “For thus says the Lord: ‘David shall never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel; ¹⁸ nor shall the priests, the Levites, lack a man to offer burnt offerings before Me, to kindle grain offerings, and to sacrifice continually.’” (Jeremiah 33:17-18)

The above passages make clear that the throne of David was to last. Since scripture cannot be broken (John 10:35), then someone has to be on that throne now. Let me also state that there have been Levites ever since Jeremiah 33:17-18–the fact that they do not do their original biblical role for offerings does NOT change the fact that they still exist, which is all that scripture requires for them. It should also be noted that Young’s Literal Translation says “one” instead of “a man,” which literally allows for a woman to have the throne (the NET uses “successor” and the NLT uses “descendant”).

Furthermore, since God had Jeremiah write this during the life of the last king on the throne of David in Jerusalem (Zedekiah) this may also be suggesting that Jeremiah would be involved in the continuity of the Davidic throne.

Although some have improperly asserted that Jeremiah 33:17 does not mean that anyone actually has to be on the throne, only available to be on it, remember also the following:

¹⁰ The scepter shall not depart from Judah, Nor a lawgiver from between his feet, Until Shiloh comes; And to Him shall be the obedience of the people. (Genesis 49:10)

The Bible shows that scepter came to David of Judah when he became king (cf. Numbers 24:17; 2 Samuel 8:2). Some who do not accept that the British Royal family can be holding that scepter have said that, “Until Shiloh comes” means Jesus’ first coming. However, that is in error for three reasons.

The first is if that were the case, then where were the kings between Zedekiah (the last King of Judah) and Jesus? There were none.

And secondly, during His first coming, Jesus said His Kingdom was future (John 18:36), so He did not assume the throne then. Critics of what is known as British-Israelism do not seem to realize that and they wrongly rationalize away many scriptures. Jesus will sit on the throne of David in millennial the Kingdom of God.

And thirdly, note that Genesis 49:10 has to be a reference to the second coming of Jesus, as we did not see the obedience of the people given to Him during the first coming. Hence, biblically, there had to have been a royal succession from Judah’s line after Zedekiah until Jesus’ return.

Consider that through the prophet Nathan, God made a remarkable promise to King David:

¹² “When your days are fulfilled and you rest with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom.  ¹³ He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. … ¹⁵ But My mercy shall not depart from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I removed from before you. ¹⁶ And your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever. (2 Samuel 7:12-13, 15-16)

The throne was to be established forever—and it has been! And this is the throne Jesus will return to.

Scripture is plainly teaching that someone has had to have been on that throne since the time of the Zedekiah (a contemporary of Jeremiah), who was the last king of Judah in the Holy Land until Jesus returns to set up the millennial kingdom.

Since someone had to fill the regal role, we can see through historical records and legends that the royalty in the British Isles fits this.

Now, some have pointed to Jeremiah 22:28-30 as proof that, because God said that Coniah (also called Jeconiah) would not have son to be on the throne of David as proof that the line would not continue, that overlooks the fact that the line continued through Coniah’s brother Zedekiah (1 Chronicles 3:16).

Through the prophet Nathan, God made a remarkable promise to King David:

¹² “When your days are fulfilled and you rest with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom.  ¹³ He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. … ¹⁵ But My mercy shall not depart from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I removed from before you. ¹⁶ And your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you. The throne was to be established forever—and it has been! This is the throne Jesus will return to. …

British Royal Family

Are there other biblical connections between the British Royal Family and the line of King David?

Yes.

When the wife of King James II, Mary/Margaret, was made Queen Consort, the ceremony in the mid-15^th century tied her in with the wives of the Israeli patriarchs: Sarah (Abraham), Rebecca (Isaac), and Leah & Rachel (Jacob).[i]

In the early 17^th century, Stuart King James I claimed to be the King of Israel.[ii]

In 1860 and 1881, Frederick Glover wrote about the connection between the children of Israel and the British. Later, he shared information with Queen Victoria. This was then reported in a New Zealand newspaper in 1902:

FRA Glover … was led into an examination of the Royal pedigree, … he sent her Majesty a letter …

The Queen’s answer … acknowledged … that she was already in possession of the facts of which he had spoken to her concerning her ancestral line.  …

This communication … led him to believe that the facts were actually accepted as genuine by the Royal Family – as true and authentic.[iii]

Princess Alice, Countess of Athlone, was the last surviving granddaughter of Queen Victoria. Princess Alice was the main patron of the British-Israel-World Federation organization which formed in 1919. She attended the federation’s first Congress in July 1920, and remained a patron of the BIWF until her death in January 1981.[iv]

Furthermore, notice something that the then Duke of York, who later was King George VI of Great Britain from 11 December 1936 until his death on February 6, 1952, reportedly wrote in 1922:

… I am sure the British Israelite business is true. I have read a lot about it lately and everything no matter how large or small points to our being ‘the chosen race.’[v]

So, even a recent King of Great Britain believed in British-Israelism (though Ephraimites, per say, are not the chosen race—they are recipients of certain covenant blessings).

In ancient times, God had the prophet Samuel anoint David to be king with oil from Israel (1 Samuel 16:1,13). Notice now a part of the ceremony for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II back in 1953:

O Lord and heavenly Father, the exalter of the humble and the strength of thy chosen, who by anointing with Oil didst of old make and consecrate kings, priests, and prophets, to teach and govern thy people Israel: Bless and sanctify thy chosen servant ELIZABETH, who by our office and ministry is now to be anointed with this Oil, … And as Solomon was anointed king by Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet, so be thou anointed, blessed, and consecrated Queen over the Peoples, whom the Lord thy God hath given thee to rule and govern,[vi]

So, we see a tie in with governance, oil, Israel, David’s son Solomon and other biblical aspects. The ancient kings of Israel were anointed (1 Samuel 15:1; 1 Kings 1:34) with oil (1 Samuel 16:13). Scepters were long recognized in the Bible as a symbol for ruling (Genesis 49:10; Ezekiel 19:14) and one was given to the new Queen. Having all of these as part of a coronation ceremony may be more than a coincidence or simple imitation of what some saw in the Bible (some assert the basic ceremony originated with Bishop Dunstan of the 10^th century, but it is difficult to know what was done earlier in Scotland or Ireland and if he had access to any related information).

Here is some of what was said when King Charles III was anointed with oil as part of his coronation on May 6, 2023:

Be your head anointed with holy oil, as kings, priests, and prophets were anointed. And as Solomon was anointed king by Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet, so may you be anointed, blessed, and consecrated King over the peoples, whom the Lord your God has given you to rule and govern …[vii]

Let it be added that Jerusalem was reportedly mentioned at least three times in his coronation ceremony.[viii] And that is where Solomon would have been anointed king.

Furthermore, the olive oil mixture to be used to anoint King Charles III was consecrated on the Mount of Olives which is adjacent to Jerusalem, and according to Justin Welby (the Archbishop of Canterbury), “ancient kings through to the present day, monarchs have been anointed with oil from this sacred place.” [ix] While those “ancient kings” referred to may only go back to Crusader times, it is possible that some anointing oil was originally brought to Ireland by Jeremiah and, in time, others decided to replenish it with an olive oil mixture from Jerusalem.

Have any in the current Royal Family believed in British Israelism?

Well, as it turns out, a longtime colleague of mine (who asked not to have his name in this book because it could impact his relationship with the Royal Family), told me on April 6, 2022, that decades ago, then Prince Charles privately told him that “he believed that the British royalty was part of the line of David, but would never say this in public or print” and that Charles seemed to know a lot about the British-Israelite matter.

Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles III will be making his first international state visit from March 26-31, 2023 by going to France and Germany. Some believe this is intended to attempt to smooth over some relations between the United Kingdom and the European Union. Could there be any connection to the goals of the World Economic Forum? Could this visit possibly help set the stage for the UK (prophetic Ephraim) to fulfill certain prophecies related to Germany (prophetic Assyria) after the start of the Great Tribulation? Are there biblical prophecies that suggest that the United States of America and its British-descended allies may turn on each other? Did Nostradamus also seem to predict that as well as some events that now seem to be happening–such as opinions not being free? Is the USA prophesied to be destroyed by a European power? Daniel 10-11:32: Prophecies Fulfilled in History

This is the fifth part of a multi-sermon series intended to cover the Book of Daniel. This sermon covers each and every verse of the 10th chapter of the Book of Daniel and the first 25 in the 11th chapter. This sermon includes comments from the late Pastor General of the old Worldwide Church of God, Herbert W. Armstrong, who, often citing the historian Rawlinson, shows how Daniel 11:2-32 were fulfilled in world history. In chapter 10, Dr. Thiel points out the importance of prayer and fasting, as well as why Jesus looks to have been the one who directly communicated with Daniel. Prophecies fulfilled through Alexander the Great’s four generals: Ptolemy (Soter) ruling Egypt, part of Syria and Judea; Seleucus (Nicator), ruling Syria, Babylonia and territory east to India; Lysimachus, ruling Asia Minor; and Cassander, ruling Greece and Macedonia were mentioned as well as some related to Antiochus Epiphanes. It is mentioned that there is a duality for prophecies that also have future fulfillment stating in Daniel 11:21 onward (and perhaps as early as verse 20)–and that Jerome points to this as well. The sermon mentioned that the prince who confirms the covenant in Daniel 9:26b-27 is NOT Jesus. Scriptures tying the King of the North to the Beast of Revelation 13 and 17 were mentioned. Also, why Daniel 11:23-24 is consistent with speculation that the USA and its British-descended allies will be attacked under the guise of a NATO exercise was discussed also with a tie into WWI, WWII, and Lamentations 1:1-2. Dr. Thiel warns that most end time Christians do not properly understand nor appreciate important end time prophecies.

Last Tuesday, a practice red heifer burning was conducted. A video from the drill was published on Israel National News.

In the drill, a red heifer that had been housed at Shiloh by the Boneh Israel organization was prepared and burned on a pyre of wood as preparation for the possibility of an actual ceremony in the future. The heifer was not suitable for the actual ceremony, as it had been inspected by the rabbis of the Temple Institute and judged to have non-red hairs, thereby disqualifying it. The heifer was burned on a pyre of wood precisely as specified in Jewish sources.

The practice burning was carried out at an undisclosed location in Samaria. The actual red heifer may only be burned at a specific location on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem.

I had speculated, based on certain statements from the Temple Institute, that they could sacrifice one of the ‘red heifers they had this year (see Red Heifers, 2 disqualified, 3 potentially left–might one be sacrifices in 2025?)–but this July sacrifice was not that one.

Why?

Because of the claim that the one sacrificed was disqualified as well as the date.

Notice the claimed reason for the disqualification:

The fact that the Temple Institute claims they do not currently accept that sacrifice does not mean that they cannot change their mind.

How come?

Well, it has also long been my view that even if there were a couple of non-red hairs, the Jews, biblically-speaking, could accept that if they felt the need.

The complete renewing of all aspects of the Holy Temple service, and the revival of complete ritual purity among Jews, is contingent upon the preparation of the red heifer. …

The heifer must be completely red, meaning, there must be no other colored hairs among the red ones. … The Jewish law pertaining to the red heifer hair color requirement is as follows: If the cow has two white or black hairs next to each other – it is invalid. [5] Even if those hairs are plucked – the heifer is still invalid. [6] The eyes of the heifer, teeth, and tongue do not have to be red. However, if the horns and hooves are black, they must be removed without harming the flesh of the heifer, in order for the red heifer to be valid for this commandment. [7]

Before going further, let me state that the Bible DOES NOT SAY THAT THE HEIFER CANNOT HAVE ANY OTHER COLORED HAIRS. The Bible also says nothing about the color of hooves or horns being removed. The references, which can be found at this link: https://templeinstitute.org/para-aduma-the-red-heifer-5/#7 are to Jewish sages and traditions–they are not literal biblical commands, but Jewish interpretations.

While many of the Orthodox Jews cling to tradition, some are more flexible when they see a reason to avoid it, particular if it is not required by the Bible.

Now, going to the Bible itself, here is what the Hebrews scriptures say about a red heifer:

1 Now the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, 2 “This is the ordinance of the law which the Lord has commanded, saying: ‘Speak to the children of Israel, that they bring you a red heifer without blemish, in which there is no defect and on which a yoke has never come. 3 You shall give it to Eleazar the priest, that he may take it outside the camp, and it shall be slaughtered before him; 4 and Eleazar the priest shall take some of its blood with his finger, and sprinkle some of its blood seven times directly in front of the tabernacle of meeting. 5 Then the heifer shall be burned in his sight: its hide, its flesh, its blood, and its offal shall be burned. 6 And the priest shall take cedar wood and hyssop and scarlet, and cast them into the midst of the fire burning the heifer. 7 Then the priest shall wash his clothes, he shall bathe in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp; the priest shall be unclean until evening. 8 And the one who burns it shall wash his clothes in water, bathe in water, and shall be unclean until evening. 9 Then a man who is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and store them outside the camp in a clean place; and they shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for the water of purification; it is for purifying from sin. 10 And the one who gathers the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until evening. It shall be a statute forever to the children of Israel and to the stranger who dwells among them. (Numbers 19:1-10)

While the red heifer is to have no blemish or defect, the number of possible hairs not being fully “red” is not mentioned. Jews have interpreted Numbers 19:1-10 to mean that another red heifer needs to be sacrificed for sacrifices to be resumed or for the Messiah to return. While that is not directly stated above, it could be implied from that one is again needed for those who do not accept Jesus came as the Messiah. And if those who want to sacrifice will not do so until they have a red heifer, then in that respect a red heifer is important. Certain Jews, like those of the Temple Institute, have added non-biblical requirements for the ‘tenth red heifer’ that while not biblically essential (and Jesus complained that the Jews in His day did that as well as is recorded in Mark 7:9-13), may be humanly necessary for the Jews to accept a particular red heifer as rabbinically valid.

Now, presuming that the Temple Institute kept some of the ashes from the burning this week, it does have the ashes of a red heifer. That does not mean that they will not sacrifice a future red heifer, but let’s just say that they have ashes of a red heifer should they feel they are necessary for some of their objectives.

Consider that in July 2024, the Temple Institute had the following in its newsletter:

Basically, the Temple Institute was hinting that it is getting time to prepare for having twice daily sacrifices.

The requirement for two sacrifices per day comes from the Book of Numbers:

Since Christians do not need to be sacrificing animals, why is the idea of animal sacrifices of prophetic interest?

Two reasons.

First, since the Jews do not accept Jesus’ sacrifice, they believe that they still need to have daily sacrifices.

And the second is that Bible prophecy shows that there will be animal sacrifices again. And that the stopping of them will have prophetic ramifications:

27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. (Daniel 9:27)

31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate. (Daniel 11:31)

11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days. (Daniel 12:11)

Daniel 9 and Daniel 11 involve actions by one who will be the prophesied European King of the North Beast power. And he will be involved in stopping those sacrifices.

For those sacrifices to be stopped, they must be started.

Having done a red heifer sacrifice shows that at least some Jews are willing to start animal sacrifices.

Miriam’s calendar was another small step towards that.

Jewish Animal Sacrifice Calendar

A young autistic woman in Israel has put forth what she hopes will be used as a calendar by Jewish priests for making daily animal sacrifices, once they have been resumed. Does the reconstituted Sanhedrin or the Temple Institute believe that such sacrifices can be resumed without a massive Jewish temple? What happened in the days of Ezra? Will such sacrifices be resumed? Does the Bible teach that such sacrifices will be stopped? If so, when will the sacrifices start and end? Any connection of the sacrifices to the Great Tribulation or the return of Jesus? Could a red heifer be sacrificed in the Spring of 2024? What about 1290 days of Daniel 12? When may the animal sacrifices start?

According to the New Testament, they will be started PRIOR to the start of the Great Tribulation as they are stopped just prior to the Great Tribulation–which in the sequence in Daniel 11, starts in verse 39 (see also When Will the Great Tribulation Begin?), which is, of course, after the sacrifices are stopped in Daniel 11:31.

We are getting closer to the time of starting the animal sacrifices.

For such sacrifices to stop, they first must start.

This is something that  wants. And they want it as soon as possible.

Red Heifer Sacrificed!

On July 8, 2025 a red heifer was sacrificed by kohanim (Levitical priests) under the order from the Temple Institute in Israel.

What difference does that make? Why should the sacrifice of a red heifer even be worthy of repeating? What if every hair on the red heifer wasn’t red? What if only two hairs were another color? Would that make a difference? Could certain Jews accept the ashes of the one just sacrificed for any “purification” purposes? What does the Book of Numbers actually teach about a red heifer?

Because of the following scriptures: “For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? (Hebrews 9:13-14), why would a Christian even care if the Jews sacrificed a red heifer in Israel or not?

The reason Christians, and everyone else for that matter, should want to pay any attention to this is that this “practice” sacrifice looks to be setting the stage for the fulfillment of prophecies regarding animal sacrifices in the Book of Daniel (Daniel 9:27, 11:31, 12:11). The stopping of animal sacrifices will lead to the countdown to to the greatest trial and tribulation the world will ever know (Matthew 24:21-22). Ursula von der Leyen may be the absolute worst head of state in modern history. She has single-handedly ensured the collapse of the European Union according to our computer. Martin Armstrong has a computer program called Socrates which he claims is very accurate in its predictions.

But he and his program do not seem to rely on, nor properly understand, biblical prophecies–particularly related to Europe.

Now, while there will be problems in Europe (cf. Daniel 2:41-43; Matthew 24:4-8), an even more united Europe will emerge after Ursula von der Leyen is out of power.

One of the policies that she has been promoting is a stronger European military.

While many think that the age of Europe being a military power is over, the Bible teaches otherwise:

1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. 2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” (Revelation 13:1-4)

The sea referred to above is called the “Great Sea” in Daniel 7 associated with the Beast. The “Great Sea” that bordered the ancient lands of Israel (Numbers 34:6-7; Joshua 1:4; 9:1; 23:4; Ezekiel 47:13-16) is the Mediterranean Sea–and that is the sea that Daniel was referring to.

The prophecy in Revelation 13 is referring to a rearmed European power.

Whether or not Europe will keep the name “European Union,” the Bible clearly shows that Europe will reorganize and a strong leader will emerge:

12 “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. (Revelation 17:12-13, NKJV)

The final European Beast leader, who is also known as the final King of the North, will ultimately destroy the USA (Daniel 11:39) and its British-descended allies (cf. Daniel 8:24-25; 11:24), as well as conquer a coming power from the Middle East and North Africa (Daniel 11:40-43).

Interestingly, the Bible prophesied that a little horn would develop into what apparently is becoming a European entity. This prophecy looks like it started to be fulfilled in the 20th century and is having further fulfillment in the 21st century.

Actually what is now the EU began as a small organization involving three small countries located in the northern and western regions of Europe (Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg, called the ‘Benelux’ nations)–they then helped form the European Economic Community. Which expanded into the European Union.

Notice that, the Bible prophesied that a little horn would mainly expand South and East:

9 And out of one of them came a little horn which grew exceedingly great toward the south, toward the east, and toward the Glorious Land. 10 And it grew up to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and some of the stars to the ground, and trampled them. 11 He even exalted himself as high as the Prince of the host; and by him the daily sacrifices were taken away, and the place of His sanctuary was cast down. 12 Because of transgression, an army was given over to the horn to oppose the daily sacrifices; and he cast truth down to the ground. He did all this and prospered. (Daniel 8:9-12).

And while the above has had a past fulfillment anciently, this prophecy seems to be dual. A horn is sometimes used in the Bible related to kings (cf. Revelation 17:12). While we do not see this direction expansion fulfilled with the first 5 kings, we do see this related to the EU.

The European Union has mainly expanded south and east of the Benelux nations. Now, approximately 450 million people are under a new, single (though not completed united) government, called the European Union, headquartered in Brussels. The prophecy in Daniel 8:9 looks to be pointing the EEU and EU because of the amount and timing of that expansion–but that will later lead per Daniel 8:10-12 to the rise of the final Beast of the sea who is also the final King of the North of Daniel 11.

The late Dr. Herman Hoeh concurred that Daniel 8 was related to the end time European King of the North power as he wrote:

Turn in your Bible to verse 9: “And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.” …

The King of the North

The little horn in Daniel 8 is none other than the LAST KING of one of the four divisions of Alexander’s Empire. He is, in fact, the final “King of the North” described in Daniel 11. (Hoeh H. The 2300 Days. Plain Truth, August 1965)

While the expansion has mainly occurred with what looks to be the EEU/EU, the final rising up pertains to the final King of the North who is also the seventh king of Revelation 17:10. And he will also end up going south, not just towards but into and past the glorious land per Daniel 11:40-43. He then may have control of much of the east and south side of the Mediterranean Sea like the ancient Roman Empire did.

Notice also the following prophecy:

41 Whereas you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; yet the strength of the iron shall be in it, just as you saw the iron mixed with ceramic clay. 42 And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile. 43 As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, they will mingle with the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay. (Daniel 2:41-43)

Thus, the lack of consensus was expected. We are seeing that right now in the EU! It fits and will feed into the seventh king. What is going on in Europe now is that those toes are being put in place and being pushed together–and they will be pushed harder together, before they are destroyed as the next verse shows:

44 And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever. (Daniel 2:44)

And as far as it being associated with the eighth of Revelation 17:11, that may include what is left of Europe and the other kings of the earth that will fight Jesus when He returns.

Notice the European beast and kings of the world will fight Jesus upon His return:

11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war … 13 … His name is called The Word of God. (Revelation 19:11,13)

19 And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army. 20 Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. 21 And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh. (Revelation 19:19-21)

So, the above has the beast along with other kings and their armies (which would seem to include what was left from the European Union, like the ten kings who were granted a kingdom in Revelation 17:12) together (see also The European Union and the Seven Kings of Revelation 17).

Europe will not totally collapse.

We will continue to see Europe moving towards its biblically-revealed role.

While I do expect the EU to have economic and other problems, do not rely on forecasts, via a computer or otherwise, that claim that Europe will totally break apart before the end of this age.

Believe the word of God (cf. Romans 3:4).

A while back, a Canadian sent me the following email:

LCG wades deeper into the Laodicean mire…

I think they’re getting even more confused about end-time events, stating that when we see the 1^st and 2^nd seal opened that Christ’s return is about 3.5 years away.  I thought the Great Tribulation marked 3.5 years from Christ’s return and this is reflected in the 5^th seal?  What about the 3^rd and 4^th seals? (I say this tongue-in-cheek.)  Aside from their confusion on the identity of the man of sin, they’re REALLY not going to know when things are coming to a head…

This video is only about 6 minutes long, so not a huge waste of time but I thought I would let you know some of what they’ve been up to.

How to Know When Christ Will Return – First 2 Major Events | Tomorrow’s World (tomorrowsworld.org)

While I rarely watch most of the videos people suggest, I did watch this one.

The video, itself, is well produced and seems designed to keep modern audiences interested enough to watch it.

The problem is that it makes statements and assertions that are in biblical error as well as in contradiction to previous LCG teachings.

The video perpetuates LCG’s error that the False Prophet is the ‘man of sin’ (to learn more about who the Bible identifies as the ‘man of sin’ check out the article Who is the Man of Sin of 2 Thessalonians 2?). It also somewhat hints that its previous  ‘falling away’ error is valid–but LCG modified that position after this video came out (to learn more about that check out the article The Falling Away: The Bible and WCG Teachings).

While the whiteboard video cites Jesus’ statement about wars and rumors of wars, related to the beginning of sorrows, it teaches that neither the first nor second seal of Revelation 6 is open yet.

That contradicts what LCG was publishing for years.

Before proving that, let me state that during the Feast of Tabernacles in October 2009, an odd feeling came over me that pointed to looking to see if the beginning of sorrows may have begun. After researching and finding that events consistent with start of the ride of the 1^st horseman, in November of 2009 I telephoned LCG’s Dr. Roderick C. Meredith and told him. While his church had taught that the beginning of sorrows had not begun prior to that, it taught shortly after that telephone call that the beginning of sorrows had begun.

For example, in January of 2010, LCG’s J. Davy Crockett III proclaimed:

Peace and plenty for all mankind will be achieved only when the Kingdom of God is established on the earth. Until then, you can expect greater disasters and you will see that what we are experiencing now is but, “…the beginning of sorrows.” (Crockett D. The beginning of Sorrows. LCG Commentary, January 28, 2010. https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/the-beginning-of-sorrows)

Dr. Douglas Winnail of the Living Church of God wrote:

Now another powerful and “deadly” quake has struck in Turkey. As we move closer to the end of the age, Jesus Christ’s admonition about “earthquakes in diverse places,” as a sign of His impending return, should ring in our ears (Matthew 24:7). Yet, Jesus said these events are just the “beginning of sorrows” (verse 8). For those who are truly watching for the signs of the end of the age, there will be no doubt that the Time of Jacob’s Trouble is not far off. However, for those who are caught up with the cares of this life and the deceitfulness of riches (Matthew 13:22), these events that Christ said would occur may catch them unaware—while they are not looking or expecting (Matthew 24:50). We must all make time to “watch and pray” so that we are counted worthy to escape the things that will shortly come to pass (Luke 21:36). (Winnail D. World Ahead Weekly Update, March 11, 2010)

Dr. Roderick C. Meredith of the Living Church of God wrote:

So it seems that the “beginning of sorrows” has certainly been escalating in Ephraim and Manasseh! Maybe it will help some few people to actually “wake up”! (Meredith RC. LCG Co-worker letter, August 15, 2011)

How can the beginning of sorrows escalate if they had not already begun?

Obviously, they could not.

LCG also published:

If, in the plan of God for mankind, we are truly at that point where, “All these are the beginning of sorrows” (Matthew 24:8), then we need to acknowledge that things are going to get worse. The earthquake tragedies in Japan, in New Zealand, and in Haiti are just the beginning. The political upheavals in the Middle East and the religious radicalism that is gripping the entire world will continue. Economic turmoil that seems to be spreading from nation to nation is not going to go away. (Wilson R. Redeem the Time. LCG Commentary, April 14, 2011)

LCG’s Richard Ames taught:

The Messiah, Jesus of Nazareth, described dangerous conditions that would prevail in the end-time. He said, “For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows” (Matthew 24:7–8). …

In Revelation 5, we read about a scroll sealed with seven seals. Jesus, the Revelator, opens the seals to the book. We read the description of those seals in Revelation 6. The first four seals are known as the four horsemen of the Apocalypse. The first horse—the white horse—and its rider represent false religions, false Christs. Jesus Himself points out the sequence of these end-time events in Matthew 24, also known as the Olivet prophecy because Jesus spoke it on the Mount of Olives. (Ames R. What is the Day of the Lord. Tomorrow’s World magazine, March-April 2007).

Christ comes with many crowns (19:12), not just one crown. And He comes with a sword (v. 15), not a bow as in Revelation 6.

Christ is the Revelator. He reveals the meaning of this white horse in Matthew 24. Jesus describes the signs of His Second Coming, and the sequence of events, that coincide with the seals of Revelation. “And Jesus answered and said to them: ‘Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, “I am the Christ,” and will deceive many'” (Matthew 24:4–5).

This white horse, and its rider, represent false religions—”false christs” (v. 24). In Matthew 24, Jesus continues describing the sequence of events: war, famine, pestilence and tribulation. Jesus is the One who interprets the seals of Revelation. He tells us: “And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake” (vv. 6–9).

The second seal reveals a horseman riding a red horse, having the power to take peace from the earth. The third seal presents a rider on a black horse, representing a scarcity of food and resulting famine. The fourth seal shows a rider on a pale horse with the power over one fourth of the earth to kill “with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth” (Revelation 6:8). Jesus also spoke of the pestilence that normally follows a famine.

Thus we see that in Matthew, Jesus confirmed the meaning of these seals when He spoke of:

• Deceptive religion (Matthew 24:4)—the first seal, or the first of the four horsemen [of the Apocalypse, or Revelation];
• Wars (Matthew 24:6–7)—the second seal, or the second of the four horsemen;
• Famines (Matthew 24:7)—the third seal, or the third of the four horsemen;
• Pestilences (Matthew 24:7)—the fourth seal, or the fourth of the four horsemen;
• Tribulation, religious persecution and martyrdom (Matthew 24:9–10)—the fifth seal. (Ames R. The Seven Seals of Revelation. Tomorrow’s World magazine, March-April 2003)

Why is that relevant?

Because LCG taught that the four horsemen represented aspects of the beginning of sorrows Jesus spoke of–basically that you do not have one without the other. Furthermore, I did discuss this with Richard Ames and he concurred with that was LCG’s understanding.

Yet, in its May 2022 whiteboard video, LCG teaches that none of the horsemen had begun their rides. Therefore, that points to the conclusion that LCG is now teaching that the sorrows have not begun, in contradiction to its earlier teachings.

Furthermore, LCG’s whiteboard video says that Jesus will come 42 months after the first two horsemen (the first two seals of Revelation 6) begin their ride, and then LCG says Jesus will come a little more than 3 1/2 years after they arise.

The Beast of Revelation 13:1-10 arises after the fourth seal is opened, not the second seal (though he certainly can have lower level roles prior to the opening of the fourth seal)–and that the Beast “was given authority to continue for forty-two months” (Revelation 13:5).

The LCG whiteboard sequence gives almost no time for the third, fourth, and fifth seal to be opened. LCG needs to change on many points or it will not realize when the Great Tribulation will begin, until it is too late for most to flee to the wilderness (Revelation 12:14-17)

Various ones have asked me for a list of doctrinal differences between LCG and the Continuing Church of God. As far as doctrines, unlike the Charlotte-based Living Church of God, the CCOG believes:

1. That the word of God and not Protestant commentaries should be the basis for changing doctrine (it remains my view that LCG’s “falling away” logic was primarily based upon Protestant interpretations, overlooked a lot of what HWA’s church actually taught about it, and was not consistent with many scriptures in the Bible).  See also The Falling Away: The Bible and WCG Teachings. That said, in the Jan-Feb 2024 edition of the Living Church News, LCG seems to have finally seen some of the errors in its falling away position and presumably does not identify itself by that doctrinal heresy that Dr. Winnail officially said LCG did (see Gerald Weston pushes LCG’s position on the ‘Falling Away’ closer to the biblical, COGwriter, position).
2. That the leader of CCOG keep his word, as should the leader(s) of LCG–really (see Why Bob Thiel Left the Living Church of God and Response to a Letter from Dr. Roderick C. Meredith Dated December 28, 2012).
3. God’s word says He will use dreams and have prophets in the last days in Acts 2 (see also Does the CCOG have the confirmed signs of Acts 2:17-18?). While LCG agrees we are in the last days, and from 2008-2012 its evangelists stated that they believed the COG may have a prophet, LCG no longer accepts that (Wakefield D. Living Church News, July-August 2015, p. 26).
4. That since a prophet is higher in “spiritual authority” than an evangelist, that those who believe in hierarchical governance would support a prophet of God over an evangelist, irrespective of how long he has been an evangelist (see also The Bible, Peter, Paul, John, Polycarp, Herbert W. Armstrong, Roderick C. Meredith, and Bob Thiel on Church Government and How To Determine If Someone is a True Prophet of God).
5. “If a trumpet is blown in a city, will not the people be afraid? If there is calamity in a city, will not the Lord have done it? Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets. A lion has roared! Who will not fear? The Lord God has spoken! Who can but prophesy?” (Amos 3:6–8). While LCG has repeatedly published that, it also claims to not have any prophets, whereas CCOG does (see Church of God Leaders on Prophets).
   
6. We warned about coronaviruses being a potential problem back in 2013 and 2014 (see Over 100 confirmed dead from coronavirus; Tonto: Why didn’t Bob Thiel warn about the coronavirus? COGwriter: I did back in 2013 and 2014, plus gave other warnings in 2018 and 2019), but LCG did not. Surely COVID was something God would have warned through His prophet and His most faithful church.
7. That faith is not the first step towards salvation, but that God calls (John 6:44) and send out His messengers to teach the word of God (Romans 10:14-17), and then comes faith (the Official Statement of Fundamental Beliefs of LCG differs; see also proposed changes to LCG’s Official Statement of Fundamental Beliefs).
8. That it is inappropriate to suggest that those that do not agree to an unscriptural doctrinal change have somehow been led by or blinded by Satan (this is related to statements in two sermons by Dr. Douglas Winnail; see also The Falling Away: The Bible and WCG Teachings).
9. That it is not necessary to rebuild a Jewish Temple in Jerusalem before Jesus returns (both a TW telecast and one or more LCG sermons have stated a view that disagrees with that; see also Why is a Jewish Temple in Jerusalem Not Required?) and that we should not insist that the “Bible clearly states” that the holy place of Matthew 24:15 is the area commonly called “the Temple Mount” (see Church of God on Jerusalem’s Western Hill).
10. That literature corrections and/or retractions should be made when known. The work of God MUST be done in truth (Psalm 33:4).
11. That the COG must be bolder in certain areas if it wants to fulfill Matthew 24:14 (see also The Final Phase of the Work).
12. Matthew 18:15-17, about going to your brother to try to resolve a matter before going public with it, applies to leaders and members.
13. The purpose of life is not just to be in the God family, but to give love in a unique way (see The MYSTERY of GOD’s PLAN Why Did God Create Anything? Why did God make you?).
14. That institutional idolatry is still wrong and that proper church governance does not include being loyal to a church or leader’s teachings which contradict scripture (see also The Bible, Peter, Paul, John, Polycarp, Herbert W. Armstrong, Roderick C. Meredith, and Bob Thiel on Church Government).
15. That it is wrong to knowingly send out tens of thousands of booklets with admitted and known errors for several years (tens of thousands of the GCA booklet have gone out, despite LCG being told that they contain known errors years ago and that they perpetuate certain Catholic myths (consider also Psalm 101:7); on 10/18/12 I was informed that over 20,000 incorrect booklets remained and were expected to be sent out; see also October 2012 Emails Related to GCA Booklet).
16. That it is wrong to continue to have one or more known errors/contradictions in an Official Statement of Fundamental Beliefs, but still keep it unchanged for years after learning what they are (one is a seeming contradiction within the Statement, and the others are covered in points 4 and 18, though point four I had not brought that up before, but wanted to when I first noticed it). (See also December 2011 Proposed changes to LCG’s Official Statement of Fundamental Beliefs.)
17. That Philadelphians should expect persecution (Daniel 11:28-35; Revelation 12:13-14; see also Persecutions by Church and State) and not excessively pull-back proclamation to avoid it (I was specifically told that some LCG leaders, who I will not mention now by name, were afraid I, Bob Thiel, could trigger end time persecution, despite the fact that they in LCG also specifically realize that the Philadelphians will be persecuted).
18. That improving literature and doctrinal errors will greatly assist in the final phase of the work. (Briefly, what this refers to is when the COG publicly identifies the King of the North and media coverage gets generated, the Catholic scholars will tear through COG literature and find many, many simple to fix errors that will hurt the COG’s credibility. LCG Evangelists agreed to fix many of them with me over the years, but often have yet not done so. My being distant from LCG assists as I will not have to apologize for why a group that supposedly has enough of the “love of the truth” kept publishing known and serious errors. And several of those errors perpetuate Catholic myths. This could greatly damage the credibility of God’s work.)
19. It has a better grasp of The Final Phase of the Work. (Briefly, a lot of this basically this begins no later than when the King of the North is identified and continues until Jesus returns–it has multiple parts including fulfilling Matthew 24:14–which may happen because of related media attention, persecution, the angels’ messages of Revelation, the two witnesses, and supporting those witnesses. If John Ogwyn was correct about the “short work” on Romans 9:28, this could possibly, temporarily swell the ranks of the COG prior to the persecution.)
20. Jesus is present at Passover (Matthew 18:20; 26:26-27; John 6:51,53; 1 Corinthians 11:24-25; LCG’s Passover DVD for 2012 stated that Jesus was not present).
21. That major preparations need to be made now for the ‘short work’–and that CCOG is doing so (see Preparing for the ‘Short Work’ and The Famine of the Word).
22. People should be more loyal to the word of God and leaders that God appoints than a corporation (see also The Bible, Peter, Paul, John, Polycarp, Herbert W. Armstrong, Roderick C. Meredith, and Bob Thiel on Church Government).
23. Ignatius’ writings did not do away with the Sabbath (see Another Look at the Didache, Ignatius, and the Sabbath) as that is a mistranslation (the God’s Church Through the Ages’ booklet has this and many other errors as does the book LCG printed and gave to all in the Fall of 2014 by Ivor Fletcher).
24. The Continuing Church of God has laying on of hands succession (see Laying on of Hands) (LCG has shied away from teaching “succession,” though when I was in LCG their leaders seemed to agree with my basic position on it, which remains–though LCG had not actually taught in its publications, when I checked).
25. Various divorce and remarriage (D&R) matters. Though since I have only been married once (we have been married for 37 plus years, and are not planning on divorcing), this was not a major personal item, but has long been a spiritual concern as LCG seemed to allow remarriage where the Bible did not.
26. That adultery, does not mean multiple adultery, as far as Jesus’ words about divorce go (Dr. Meredith has said in sermons that adultery here means multiple violations. That is not how I read this and I called Charlotte about it in 2012, with no satisfactory resolution.)
27. Marriages performed by the ministry are not to include believers to unbelievers per 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 (unless certain other biblically-sanctioned reasons are present; e.g. Deuteronomy 22:28). See also the 2015 post, NBC: ‘Exposed in Ashley Madison Hack? Here’s What to Do Now’.
28. That the Great Tribulation, the time of Jacob’s troubles, does not start at Daniel 11:40 when the King of the South pushes at the King of the North–it starts the prior verse (this is something that still needs to be corrected in the LCG Official Statement of Fundamental Beliefs; this is something many have known about for years and had promised to address; see also When Will the Great Tribulation Begin?).
29. That the “strongest fortresses” in Daniel 11:39 are a reference to the USA (see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses). Although the evangelists at LCG in Charlotte all agreed I was correct about this, when I checked LCG’s two major websites in 2017, there was no place where LCG teaches this–this is an improper and dangerous error of omission for LCG.
30. That the King of the North attacks the USA and its Anglo-Saxon allies (Daniel 11:39) before he attacks the King of the South (Daniel 11:40; LCG teaches both versions of this and leans towards the wrong one; LCG’s Fourteen Signs booklet, for one example, teaches that Daniel 11:31 comes AFTER Daniel 11:40-43 and that the USA and Anglo-Saxon nations are destroyed afterwards–this means LCG WILL NOT KNOW WHEN THE GREAT TRIBULATION WILL BEGIN AND THOSE THAT PREFER TO SUPPORT LCG WILL NOT FLEE TO BE PROTECTED WHEN IT IS TIME).
31. That Daniel 11:31 is fulfilled prior to Daniel 11:40-43 (LCG’s Fourteen Signs booklet teaches the opposite order).
32. That since the ten kings have not yet received their kingdoms, that the ten kings mentioned in Revelation 17:12-13 are not limited to 10-11 currently existing nations (LCG sometimes takes a different view, which will mean that they will not realize when the Beast power is at the end stage of its rising up, see also LCG and PCG insisting on 10 or 11 ‘nations’ for the Beast? What does the Bible teach?).
33. Do not believe that any in the ministry should promote the sport of American tackle football (the Bible, in Romans 13:9-10 clearly teaches “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law”). HWA also specifically warned against this violent sport (see Is American Football Evil?). There are also other “love” issue matters.
34. We do not believe that we should encourage the pagan sun-god (Shamash 888 B.C.) worship practice (cf. Deuteronomy 12:29-32) of praying with clasped hands (see our booklet Prayer: What Does the Bible Teach?), whereas LCG has published photos promoting this.
35. While the Bible seemingly allows for eating out while traveling (Matthew 12:1-8) and certain emergencies (Luke 6:3-5), that it does not condone regular eating out in restaurants on the Sabbath for those who are simply at their homes (cf. Nehemiah 10:30-31; watch also The Christian Sabbath and How and Why to Keep It).
36. That the “mark of the Beast” includes idolatry and likely a physical object, and is not limited to Sunday worship (see Mark of the Beast and The Mark of Antichrist).
37. That the “word of the law” needs to be preached as part of the Feast of Tabernacles every seven years (Deuteronomy 31:10-13; cf. Nehemiah 6:73;7:1-3,8,13-17; Joshua 8:34; see also The Feast of Tabernacles: A Time to Learn the Law). This was conveyed to those giving sermons at the CCOG Feast of Tabernacles’ Sites for 2013.
38. That Habakkuk 2 clearly is referring to these end times and thus has prophetic applicability to the Anglo-descended nations (LCG has ministers and at least one evangelist who believe Habakkuk 2 was fulfilled in its entirety and does not have end time applications, even though it clearly does–see also Habakkuk: His message is for us now).
39. Some of the prophecies in the Bible (e.g. Isaiah 10:5-11) seem to use the term ‘Samaria’ to refer to the modern United States of America (see also Anglo – America in Prophecy & the Lost Tribes of Israel and Spiritual Samaritans: Old and New). Although one LCG leader/minister was open to this when told by me in early 2012, LCG does not seem to formally teach this.
40. France will support the Beast power (LCG is no longer certain; see Must the Ten Kings of Revelation 17:12 Rule over Ten Currently Existing Nations? And this disagrees with the late Dibar Apartian’s position as shown in The ‘Lost Tribe’ of Reuben: France in Prophecy?).
41. That Matthew 28:19 is part of the Bible and needs to be part of the baptismal ceremony (see also Is Matthew 28:19 in the Bible?). Evangelist Richard Ames personally expressed his doubts to me once about whether Matthew 28:19 was scripture or not–he, at that time at least, was not convinced that it was. Although the Bible teaches, “one Lord, one faith, one baptism” (Ephesians 4:5), in late June 2013 I was told by someone else who inquired that LCG has two different baptisms because some do not believe that Matthew 28:19 applies. Although it ends with an option for an appropriate ceremony, LCG’s L049 letter specifically states, “Is Matthew 28:19 the only commanded formula that must be used in a baptism ceremony? Again, we say no, it is not, based on the actual procedures the early church used in baptizing,” which seems to substantiate what I was told about more than one baptismal option.
42. That the man of sin in 2 Thessalonians 2 is the first beast, the final King of the North, and not the second beast, the false prophet (see also Who is the Man of Sin of 2 Thessalonians 2?; or, in English, see the You Tube video Who is the Man of Sin?). In his co-worker letter dated, April 17, 2013, Dr. Meredith indicated that not agreeing with his improper assertion about this individual means that one does not understand biblical prophecy–since Dr. Meredith is not correct on this, but CCOG is, those in his church should realize that LCG has major problems in understanding various parts of prophecy. This will not bode well for any who will believe LCG over CCOG in the future.
43. It is wrong to tell members that “the end” is closer than the leadership believes (LCG did this repeatedly as I tended to find out when I checked with its top leadership when I attended with LCG).
44. That 1 John 3:9 is referring to those born of God not sinning, not those begotten of God not being in a ‘state of sin’ as Dr. Meredith has stated (see also Perfection? Does God have faith in humans?).
45. That it is not necessary that a red heifer be sacrificed as part of the final end time sequence (LCG has published that “those who are watching end-time prophetic events know that the slaughter of the red heifer is one of the first major milestones in this final sequence of end-time events”; see The Red Heifer, Jewish Beliefs, and the End of the World).
46. That God is restoring “all things” (Matthew 17:11; Jude 3). While both CCOG and LCG believe that there has to be some type of an end-time Elijah, LCG has not specifically taught that it has been restoring what needs to be restored (the church history book it distributed at the Feast of Tabernacles in 2014 perpetuated Catholic and other myths and DID NOT restore ‘apostolic Christianity’.) Furthermore its Dr. Winnail has also taught that the final Elijah could be the church and not a person. Yet CCOG does teach that there is a final person coming in the spirit and power of Elijah, (see Statement of Beliefs of the Continuing Church of God and The Feast of Tabernacles: A Time to Learn the Law), that it is in the process of restoring all things, and the final Elijah will come from it (see the sermon Elijah, Herbert W. Armstrong, and CCOG).
47. That Jesus is NOT the one who will “will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers” (Malachi 4:6) as LCG taught in 2015, but that this is part of the work of the final Elijah (Malachi 4:5-6; details on LCG’s and CCOG’s positions are in the article The Elijah Heresies).
48. The European Beast confederation will NOT collapse like the old Roman Empire as LCG asserted in December 2015 as the LCG view is contrary to prophetic scriptures (some details on LCG’s and CCOG’s positions are in the article Must the Ten Kings of Revelation 17:12 Rule over Ten Currently Existing Nations?).
49. WWIII is not related to the battles between Europe and Eurasia as LCG asserted in its Tomorrow’s World telecast Four Prophecies for Germany in March 2017, but has to do with the destruction and takeover of the USA and its Anglo-Saxon allies by a European-led force who will then conquer the Middle East (see also World War III: Steps in Progress).
50. Daniel 11:42-43 does not show Ethiopia is part of the King of the South as LCG asserted in its TW News & Prophecy ezine of August 24, 2018. While some from Ethiopia could be involved, the Hebrew word in that passage means ‘Cushites.’ For details, check out the article Is the Future King of the South Rising Up?
51. The third resurrection is NOT JUST for the incorrigibly wicked (see What Did Early Christians Understand About the Resurrections? and/or Universal OFFER of Salvation, Apokatastasis: Can God save the lost in an age to come? Hundreds of scriptures reveal God’s plan of salvation).
52. Romans 11:25 will be fulfilled before Jesus returns (see What About Romans 11:25 and the Full Number of the Gentiles?).
53. The prince (who will become the King of the North) confirms the covenant for seven-years (see The ‘Peace Deal’ of Daniel 9:27)–LCG once taught that, but now its Council of Elders is no longer sure (for details, see Weston G. Why a Council of Elders. Living Church News, July-August 2019).

55. Ukraine does not have the ability to launch a massive nuclear strike against Europe (when I was in LCG I advised that they issue a retraction for their published teaching on that, but that did not happen).
56. Russia will end up with land that Ukraine has claimed (wrote this in 2013 and it happened in 2014 with Crimea; I also warned about Russia ending up with parts of Ukraine prior to its ‘Special Military Operation’ into Ukraine, whereas LCG did not teach or warn about this).
57. Isaiah 22:6-9 points to damage being done to Jerusalem by a confederation involving Iran and Syria (see Iran in Prophecy).
58. That it is the USA and/or its British-descended allies that will confront the European Beast power in Daniel 11:30 with naval power (see Who is the King of the North?).
59. That Benito Mussolini is NOT the king which now “is,” as the European Union is more biblically and historically logical (see The European Union and the Seven Kings of Revelation 17).
60. That doctrinal and prophetic truths needed to be restored in the 21st century and that CCOG is doing that in a way that no other COG is doing (see Continuing Church of God, Elijah, and Restoring All Things ).
61. The beginning of sorrows and the opening of at least one of the seals of Revelation 6 has been opened–LCG does not (per its whiteboard video of May 19, 2022 titled How to Know When Christ Will Return – First 2 Major Events).
62. That official statements of beliefs should not include statements it top leaders consider to be wrong. For example, LCG should fix the errors in its Official Statement of Fundamental Beliefs that Dr. Meredith agreed to do in December of 2011, by January 2012 (see LCG’s Official Statement of Fundamental Beliefs). Yet, in 2024, that still has not happened.

Anyway, while there are other issues, the above gives some reasons why those who wish to truly be part of the Philadelphia remnant would want to consider supporting the Continuing Church of God (see also Why is there a Philadelphian remnant of the true Christian Church of God? ).

The Bible says:

15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15, KJV)

15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.  (2 Timothy 2:15-16, NKJV)

Sadly, most in LCG will not be diligent.

Instead of checking out the teachings of differences with the Bible, most will instead prefer to listen to false and misleading information about me.

All of course, in LCG and elsewhere, should instead value the truth.

Notice also:

16 The lazy man is wiser in his own eyes
Than seven men who can answer sensibly.  (Proverbs 26:16)

There are more than seven sensible reasons that those in LCG should realize that it does not hold to the truth as it should.

Jesus said:

31 “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:31-32)

The truth is that some time ago, LCG ceased to have the ‘Philadelphia mantle‘ (proper leadership authority for the true and faithful church).

Its prophetic whiteboard provides additional proof that it will not know when the Great Tribulation will begin until it will be too late for most to flee and get the protection that Jesus promised the Philadelphian Christians.

Jesus told the Laodicean Christians, who thought that they were fine, to repent (Revelation 3:14-22).

I pray that those in LCG and other Laodicean groups as well as the Laodicean independents, will repent and not simply brush off truths that they do not find convenient.

The Laodicean Church Era has been predominant circa 1986 A.D. to present. The Laodiceans are non-Philadelphians who mainly descended from the old WCG or its offshoots. They do not properly understand the work or biblical prophecies and will face the Great Tribulation if they do not repent.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen easily survived a motion of censure from the far right of the European Parliamenton Thursday, though the dressing down she took from her would-be political partners in the process is probably a bigger concern.

360 parliamentarians backed the German center-right EU official in the no-confidence vote, 18 abstained, and 175 voted against her. More than 160 members of parliament (MEPs) did not show up to vote.

I would not say that she “easily survived a motion of censure” as 353 did not back her–which was 49.5%.

A senior European Commission official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the vote had been widely discussed within the Berlaymont headquarters.

“Officials see this as a warning. Her leadership style—extremely centralised and often politically ambiguous—has made her vulnerable. As far as the “right” being against her, migrant matters are one concern that many have, which has tended to be ignored or downplayed.

Is Civil War Coming to Europe?

Spending a week in France last month, I recalled the scandalous open letter that 20 retired French generals and 1,000 active duty service members released in 2021, warning that their country was headed to civil war unless the government acted firmly against Islamic radicals in the suburbs, and turned away from divisive policies driven by so-called “anti-racism.”

In a number of private conversations with ordinary French people—this was before the Le Pen verdict—I brought up the Betz interview (none had heard about it), and asked them if they foresaw civil war coming to France. Nearly all of them said yes. They said so with an unnerving sense of calm, as if they accepted it as a matter of course. Vance angered many European elites in his Munich speech when he warned them that the greatest security threats their countries face are within—and that their attempt to deny them by squelching free speech was only making matters worse. This—the danger not of war with other nations, but of civil war—is precisely what he was talking about. …

If Betz is right about the likelihood that civil war in one European country would likely set it off in others, that question might be in vain. Well, yes, civil unrest, and probably civil wars, will break out in Europe. But, while politicians have been helping set the stage for this, issues with Muslims will be a factor.

As long time readers of this COGwriter Church of God News page are aware, I have long stated that Europe would push out migrants, particularly Islamic ones.

So, what will happen?

Some migrants will be deported.

Eventually, Europe will reach a breaking point and change. Many Europeans want major change now.

The Bible shows that Europe will reorganize and a strong leader will emerge:

12 “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. (Revelation 17:12-13, NKJV)

The final European Beast leader, who is also known as the final King of the North, will ultimately promote his religion (Daniel 11:36-38; which will not be Islam, he will at first feign and claim a form of Roman Catholicism). He will make a deceptive deal with the leader of a confederation of peoples in North Africa and the Middle East (cf. Daniel 11:27; Psalm 83:3-8).

Islamic issues will be a factor in the rise of this Beast leader–the Bible shows that a European Beast leader will, after destroying the USA (Daniel 11:39), push against and overwhelm a power from the Middle East and North Africa (Daniel 11:40-43).

What kind of a dance?

One that will impact Muslims (as well as another type that will overpower the UK, cf. Daniel 8:24-25; Isaiah 17:3).

There are many Greco-Roman Catholic private prophecies telling of a time of civil war in Europe–and pushing out Islam. Notice that the first one considers civil war is a major sign of end time events:

Brother Louis Rocco (19th century): Terrible wars will rage all over Europe. God has long been patient with the corruption of morals; half of mankind He will destroy. Russia will witness many outrages. Great cities and small towns alike will be destroyed in a bloody revolution that will cause the death of half the population. In Istanbul (Constantinople) the Cross will replace the half-moon of Islamism, and Jerusalem will be the seat of a King. The southern Slavs will form a great Catholic Empire and drive out of Europe the Turks (Mohammedans), who will withdraw to North Africa and subsequently embrace the Catholic faith. (Dupont, p.76)

Notice that the ‘great prince of the North’ is expected to subdue an Islamic Empire. Notice that the Bible teaches that the ‘king of the North‘ will go into the Middle East and North Africa and eliminate the leader called the ‘king of the South.’ The lands of the ‘king of the South’ are currently Islamic. Perhaps it should be mentioned that Syria is expected to support the confederation of the king of the South (see also Ezekiel 30:2-8), though the time will come that its capital will be destroyed (Isaiah 17:1).

As I have written in the past, European nations will decide that they must take stronger steps against the growing number of Islamic immigrants (see also War is Coming Between Europeans and Arabs).

Migrant issues will be one of the triggers to get Europe to ultimately reorganize as the Bible teaches it will in Revelation 17:12-13, Daniel 11:21-38, Daniel 2:41-43, and other passages.

On June 8, 2018, Austria’s Chancellor Sebastian Kurz announced the closing of seven Islamic mosques in an effort to reduce “political Islam.” In the past several years, at least 6 European nations have banned the wearing of a commonly used garment by Islamic females. Heinz-Christian Strache (later Vice Chancellor of Austria) has declared that Islam has no place in Europe. Did Germany’s Angela Merkel call multiculturalism a failure? Will there be deals between the Muslims and the Europeans? Will a European Beast leader rise up after a reorganization that will eliminate nationalism? Will Europe push out Islam? What does Catholic prophecy teach? What does the Bible teach in Daniel and Revelation? Is Islam prophesied to be pushed out of Europe? Dr. Thiel addresses these issues and more.

As US President Donald Trump wages a trade war across the globe, a new target has come into his line of fire: the BRICS group of emerging major economies.

Trump in recent days has threatened members of the China- and Russia-backed club with 10% tariffs on goods imported to the US – in addition to heightened tariffs already looming for some of them.

“Any country aligning themselves with the Anti-American policies of BRICS” will face those duties with “no exceptions,” Trump wrote on social media Sunday, as leaders from the group met for an annual summit in Rio de Janeiro. …

In his railings against the group, Trump has homed in on one area he sees as a specific threat: currency.

“BRICS was set up to hurt us, BRICS was set up to degenerate our dollar and take our dollar, take it off as the standard,” Trump said during the cabinet meeting on Tuesday. …

BRICS countries are, however, interested in expanding trade in their national currencies, rather than relying on the US dollar – an aim that, if successful, could reduce the dollar dependence of a significant chunk of the global economy. By some estimates, BRICS members account for more than a third of global GDP based on purchasing power parity. Currently, the size of the US economy and the stability of the dollar have made the greenback the lifeblood of global finance – and a significant factor in American global power.

In a joint declaration released during their summit Sunday, the group of BRICS leaders backed ongoing discussions of a “cross-border payments initiative” between member countries. Analysts say that such a system, if developed, could potentially become an alternative to the SWIFT inter-bank network, using BRICS countries’ currencies or their digital equivalents.

Bypassing SWIFT and a dollar-denominated trade system has obvious benefits for certain BRICS countries, such as Russia and Iran, as it could allow them to circumvent heavy Western sanctions. But other countries also see a benefit in not relying on the US dollar for trade. …

Brazil’s Lula on Monday alluded to that when he repeated his view that global trade needs alternatives to the US dollar, but added that this would be something that “happens gradually” and “carefully.” …

Trump’s global tariff war has been a rallying point for BRICS. During their summit in Rio, the leaders released a joint declaration voicing “serious concerns” about the “rise of unilateral tariff and non-tariff measures” – an apparent jibe at the Trump administration’s trade policy.

SWIFT end to the US dollar?

After World War II, the US dollar became the world’s primary international trading currency. In this video Dr. Thiel and Steve Dupuie went over some of the reasons for that development. They also discussed US dominance of SWIFT. SWIFT stands for the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication. SWIFT provides a network that enables financial institutions worldwide to send and receive information about financial transactions. The use of sanctions and the weaponization of SWIFT by the US was brought out as were alternatives to SWIFT development by Russia (System for Transfer of Financial Messages-SPFS) and China (Cross-Border Interbank Payment System-CIPS). Also the BRICS Pay alternative to SWIFT, mentioned at the BRICS Kazan Summit in October 2024 was mentioned as well as “the Unit”, which is a potential, gold-backed currency that Vladimir Putin brought up as another alternative. An article titled ‘The Biggest Story that’s NOT Being Told Will WREAK HAVOC on the US Economy’ was discussed along with the specter of extreme inflation hitting the US once its dollar is no longer relied on internationally. The fact that SWIFT is supposed to be a European system, and one that Europeans want more control of, was mentioned along with the fact that the Europeans could also push harder for the end of SWIFT and/or the US dollar dominance. The timing of the coming Great Tribulation and US banking/financial matters was also mentioned.

As far as Donald Trump and tariff threats go, his Administration sent out a letter to Brazil increasing tariffs on their goods to 50%.

Brazil will respond to Trump’s 50% tariff with ‘reciprocity,’ says da Silva

• Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said his country would respond to a newly announced 50% tariff rate on its exports to the United States with reciprocity.
• Lula cited a recently adopted Brazilian law that authorizes his government to take proportional countermeasures in response to unilateral economic measures taken by other countries.
• U.S. President Donald Trump said the U.S. will impose the massive tariff on imports from Brazil starting Aug. 1. …

Trump also claimed that Brazil’s trade policies have caused “unsustainable Trade Deficits against the United States,” which threaten the U.S. economy and national security.

But the United States has a goods trade surplus with Brazil, which totaled $7.4 billion in 2024, according to the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative.

Yes, the impact of the USA dollar losing its reserve status would be horrible–and even worse than Donald Trump asserted. And things like 100% tariffs are inflationary.

The BRICS+ nations, which compose nearly half the population of the world, still want to bypass the US dollar.

US President-elect Donald Trump has threatened 100 percent tariffs on BRICS nations if they replace the dollar in international trade.

However, Brazil has indicated that it aims to boost the effort during its presidency of BRICS. President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva’s government has said its objective is the “development of means of payment” to facilitate trade between member countries.[i]

Furthermore, some suspect that more countries in BRICS+ may destroy the ‘petrodollar’ system that supports the dollar.[ii]

The USA dollar will ultimately crash and be worthless. That “pride” of American power will be broken (cf. Leviticus 26:19). …

European leaders have been working for years to establish a new reserve currency for the world, partially with the intent to remove the USA dollar from its current position as a reserve currency.

Those in Russia, Iran and some of the Arab lands, along with nations such as Brazil and India have discussed plans for the removal of the dominance of the USA dollar in global trade as well. Many are now working on that, along with China, in what is called the BRICS alliance.[iii] While Donald Trump did not cause all of this, an unintended consequence of the use of sanctions in the Trump-Pence Administration (as well as by the Biden-Harris Administration) is that more nations are looking to bypass the dollar.

The BRICS group has long worked to bypass the USA dollar. USA sanctions, tariffs, and other policies have pushed more and more nations away from cooperating with the USA and more towards cooperating with each other.

The BRICS nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) have as one of their founding goals, to eliminate the need to use USA dollars in cross-border trade. Six additional nations have been invited to join BRICS in 2024, and India reports that six more are also being looked at. The BRICS nations have already began to drop the USA dollar for some cross-border trading with Russia and China indicating that they had almost done so completely in late 2023. California priest says God is ‘proud’ of ‘LGBT Catholics’ during homily at ‘Family Pride Mass’

David Andel told “LGBT Catholics” during a sermon for the Diocese of San Bernardino’s first-ever “Family Pride Mass” last month that God is “proud” of LGBT Catholics and their families.

Andel, a priest in the diocese, emphasized during his homily that God loves and is proud of Catholics who identify as LGBT as well as their families for persevering in their faith despite “persecution,” per the diocesan news outlet Inland Catholic Byte. The June 28 Mass, which was celebrated at St. John Bosco Mission, was organized by Embrace, the diocese’s official “LGBT ministry,” to add a “Catholic dimension” to “Pride Month” and remind Catholics who identify as LGBT and their families that they are welcome in the Church.

During the homily, Andel first underscored that God is proud of “LGBT Catholics,” who have remained in the Church despite the “persecution” they’ve experienced from other Christians.

Like any good parent, God is proud of you. God is proud of you for turning the other cheek; for forgiving seventy times seven, the same offenses and the same insults; for your love for your enemies and your prayers for those who persecute you; for persevering in your faith in spite of some Christians who don’t give you posada and want you to go elsewhere; for your courage, your love and your compassion for others; for your insistence and confidence that you are indeed beloved and belong in the Church.

The priest then stressed that God is also “proud” of the parents of “LGBT Catholics.”

And God is proud of you parents for loving your child unconditionally, that is, with no condition that they be the way you hoped and prayed they would be or that they love whom you want them to love; for defending your child – physically, verbally and morally; for planting the seed of faith in your child, watering it with years of prayers, and waiting patiently for it to bear fruit. You are God’s beloved children, in whom God takes delight.

While Andel is correct that God unconditionally loves all people, including those with same-sex attraction, and the parents of LGBT people are called to also show compassion and love toward their children, the priest omitted any mention of Catholic teaching on same-sex attraction.

As far as being “proud” goes, notice the following scripture:

16 These six things the Lord hates,
Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:
17 A proud look,
A lying tongue,
Hands that shed innocent blood,
18 A heart that devises wicked plans,
Feet that are swift in running to evil,
19 A false witness who speaks lies,
And one who sows discord among brethren. (Proverbs 6:16-19)

Note that pride is condemned.

As far as a lying tongues, the LGBTQ+ community falsely asserts that there are more than two genders and that they were “born that way”–they were not–watch: Gay Gene? Born That Way?

Related to hands that shed innocent blood, the LGBTQ+ community is pro-abortion and the pedophile actions of certain of their members sheds innocent blood another way.

As far as a heart that devises wicked plans, the legislative, societal, and school plans of the LGBTQ+ community are evil.

As far as feet that are swift in running to evil, their attendance at “Pride parades,” is just one example.

Yes, the LGBTQ+ community is composed of false witnesses that speak lies. It is NOT good to promote Drag Queens, their story hours, and various other forms of perversion, despite the LGBTQ+ community saying it is.

And yes, they want to sow discord among brethren by belittling, censoring, and denouncing biblical morality.

Notice also the following:

9 The look on their countenance witnesses against them,
And they declare their sin as Sodom;
They do not hide it.
Woe to their soul!
For they have brought evil upon themselves. (Isaiah 3:9) NKJV

4 A haughty look, a proud heart,
And the plowing of the wicked are sin. (Proverbs 21:4)

Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed for pushing an ancient LGBTQ agenda. The moderns are no better and seem to be worse. And, of course, they do not like the Bible condemning their behaviours and pride as sin.

The Bible warns about something consistent with that in the last days:

1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:

2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good,

4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,

5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!

6 For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts,

7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. (2 Timothy 3:1-7)

Those of us who hold to the idea that sexual relationships are only to be between a man married to a woman are considered to have “ugly narrow-mindedness” by supporters of the LGBTQ movement.

22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.  (Leviticus 18:22)

13 If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. (Leviticus 20:13)

5 A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman’s garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the Lord your God. (Deuteronomy 22:5)

24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves,

25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature.

27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting;

29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers,

30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful;

32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them. (Romans 1:24-32)

Sadly, the Roman Catholic priest does not seem to understands the Bible nor the destructive nature of the LGBTQ+ crowd.

Many people seemingly despise the moral teachings of the word of God–this will not end well:

12 Therefore thus says the Holy One of Israel:

“Because you despise this word,
And trust in oppression and perversity,
And rely on them,
13 Therefore this iniquity shall be to you
Like a breach ready to fall,
A bulge in a high wall,
Whose breaking comes suddenly, in an instant.
14 And He shall break it like the breaking of the potter’s vessel,
Which is broken in pieces;
He shall not spare.
So there shall not be found among its fragments
A shard to take fire from the hearth,
Or to take water from the cistern.”  (Isaiah 30:12-14)

Destruction is coming to the USA–as well as its British-descended allies–and it will be worse than most people will believe.

And it will be sooner than most imagine.

All, including Roman Catholic priests, should believe and heed the Bible.

Mount Rainier has had a major increase in the amount of earthquakes detected there:

Mount Rainier was experiencing “the most significant seismic activity” at the volcano in more than 15 years as an “earthquake swarm” hit the site starting on Tuesday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey’s Cascades Volcano Observatory.

The swarm — hundreds of small earthquakes hitting the same area in quick succession — started around 1:30 a.m. local time Tuesday and was continuing into Wednesday, data showed.But there was no cause for concern, according to the Cascades Volcano Observatory, which monitors volcanoes across Washington, Oregon and Idaho. …

The last time Mount Rainier saw a large swarm was over a three-day period in 2009, when 1,000 earthquakes hit, with the largest being a magnitude 2.3. …

While there may not be an immediate cause for concern, there is the partially-related aspect of Mt. Rainier’s location in the Cascadia Subduction Zone, plus the fact that it is a stratovolcano with the potential to erupt. Stratovolcanoes are characterized by a steep profile with a summit crater and explosive eruptions.

The United States Geologic Survey (USGS) says the series of earthquakes began around 1:30 a.m. PT, with hundreds having been detected. The largest earthquake so far was just a magnitude 1.7.  … Many earthquakes in Washington state are linked to the motion of the Juan de Fuca Plate and the North American Continental Plate moving against each other as the Juan de Fuca Plate slips beneath the North American continent, according to PNSN. So, I would not say that there is no risk now, though the period of risk is greater in the future.

The Cascadia subduction zone is a fault in the tectonic plates that runs 700 miles from Vancouver Island in Canada to California’s Cape Mendocino. It is a part of the Ring of Fire, a 25,000-mile-long horseshoe-shaped region encompassing the Pacific Ocean, the most seismically active area on the planet.  It includes most of California, Washington State, and Alaska. The Ring of Fire consists of 452 volcanoes, more than 75 percent of active volcanoes in the world today. About 90 percent of the world’s earthquakes and 81 percent of the world’s largest earthquakes occur along the Ring of Fire. All but three of the world’s 25 largest volcanic eruptions of the last 11,700 years occurred at the Ring of Fire volcanoes.

If a cataclysmic earthquake hits the West Coast, the Cascadia subduction zone will likely be the culprit. Yes, a massive earthquake in the Cascadia subduction zone would be potentially devastating. But we would likely have to see more severe quaking for Mt. Rainier to have much to do with it.

We know that Jesus prophesied the following:

8 … And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be…troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows. (Mark 13:8)

The beginning of sorrows is BEFORE the start of the Great Tribulation. But as far at the really big earthquake that is mentioned in biblical prophecy is the following one:

18 And there were noises and thunderings and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on the earth. 19 Now the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And great Babylon was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath. 20 Then every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. (Revelation 16:18-20)

Notice that the above earthquake is so big that the cities of the nations will fall. Mountains will be leveled and islands “fled away” (more on this can be found in the article Islands aeand Bible Prophecy). This seems to be the biggest earthquake that will ever hit the planet with humans on it. Despite the view of ‘preterists’ that this already happened (see The Dangerous Rise of Preterists), that is nonsense.

The earthquake of Revelation 16 will be bigger than what the usual “experts” have believed was possible. It will change the planet and humble parts of humanity.

Changes to the earth’s core and magnetic fields may be geological factors God will use to trigger that quake (watch also Earth’s Core and Earthquakes).

It should be noted since that apparently biggest of all earthquakes seems to take place near the end of the Day of the Lord, it probably cannot happen prior to 2031 or 2032 (for more on why as well as dates, please see the articles When Can the Great Tribulation Begin? and Does God Have a 6,000 Year Plan? For years (e.g. Weather Affected Fall of Rome, Will it Affect the USA’s Fall?), I have warned that the USA could be hit with a ‘perfect storm’ of events and disaster that could weaken it during the ‘beginning of sorrows’ so that it would be easier for it to be taken over at the start of the Great Tribulation.

Many think that the USA cannot fall.

But consider the impact of many “natural” disasters–actually receiving curses from God for disobedience:

15 “But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:

16 “Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the country.

17 “Cursed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.

18 “Cursed shall be the fruit of your body and the produce of your land, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks.

19 “Cursed shall you be when you come in, and cursed shall you be when you go out.

20 “The Lord will send on you cursing, confusion, and rebuke in all that you set your hand to do, until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, because of the wickedness of your doings in which you have forsaken Me. 21 The Lord will make the plague cling to you until He has consumed you from the land which you are going to possess. 22 The Lord will strike you with consumption, with fever, with inflammation, with severe burning fever, with the sword, with scorching, and with mildew; they shall pursue you until you perish. 23 And your heavens which are over your head shall be bronze, and the earth which is under you shall be iron. 24 The Lord will change the rain of your land to powder and dust; from the heaven it shall come down on you until you are destroyed.

25 “The Lord will cause you to be defeated before your enemies; you shall go out one way against them and flee seven ways before them; and you shall become troublesome to all the kingdoms of the earth. (Deuteronomy 28:15-25)

The Bible is clear that God controls the weather and various calamities, but wants people to heed His prophets:

6… If there is calamity in a city, will not the Lord have done it?

7 Surely the Lord God does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets. (Amos 3:6-7)

The Bible tells of weather-related blessings for obedience and weather-related curses for disobedience. Weather is not as random as many people seem to want to believe.

As far as repentance goes, the Bible shows:

30 God … commands all men everywhere to repent (Acts 17:30)

And weather-problems are one tool that God uses to urge people to repent (cf. Haggai 2:17; Amos 4:7-12). But most will not. Nor will most Christians as they should (cf. Revelation 3:14-18; see also The Laodicean Church Era).

Most will ignore weather changes and simply believe that weather changes all the time and the changes do not have to do with God or disobeying His laws.

Jesus taught:

34 “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. 35 For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” (Luke 21:34-36)

This is the time to get your spiritual life in order.

Are you doing that?

In order to “be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man,” you need to get your spiritual life in order. You not only need to watch, but also to pray and change (2 Timothy 2:15-16, KJV).

Earthquakes and Super Volcanos

Is a black swan just another pretty bird? Well, yes, but a black swan event has a totally different meaning. A black swan event is described by Britannica.com as: “A black swan event is an unexpected and highly impactful event. It is characterized by its extreme rarity, severe consequences, and the tendency for people to rationalize it only in hindsight.” Would a massive earthquake or the eruption of a super volcano qualify as a black swan event? The answer is yes. One black swan event that poses a risk right now is the massive super volcanos long overdue to erupt and another black swan event is the tectonic plates that are generating incredible pressure as they grind against each other and will result in massive earthquakes. The United States has both the massive Yellowstone super volcano and the San Andreas Fault as well as Ring of Fire. Could a black swan event jeopardize the very existence of the United States? Trump broadened out a trade war that has cast a shadow over the global economic outlook when he said on Tuesday he would impose a 50% tariff on imported copper and soon introduce long-threatened levies on semiconductors and pharmaceuticals.

Trump said late on Tuesday that “a minimum of seven” tariff notices would be released on Wednesday morning, and more in the afternoon. He gave no other details in his Truth Social post. The threat came a day after he pressured 14 trading partners, including powerhouse U.S. suppliers South Korea and Japan, with tariff letters imposing levies of 25% and upwards to take effect from August 1. …

Equity markets shrugged off Trump’s latest tariff salvo on Wednesday, while the yen remained on the back foot after the levies set for Japan.

President Donald Trump said at least seven countries can expect tariff letters on Wednesday morning, as he ramped up pressure on nations to strike deals with the United States by saying his new August 1 deadline would not be extended.

The announcement came as Trump vowed to slap a 10% levy on imports from the BRICS group of emerging economies, revealed plans for a 50% tariff on copper imports and threatened a massive 200% import tax on pharmaceuticals, renewing uncertainty for the global economy and markets – which have already experienced months of volatility.

“A minimum of seven” tariff notices will be sent out to American trade partners Wednesday morning, Trump said on Truth Social Tuesday, adding that “an additional number of countries” would receive letters in the afternoon. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick told CNBC earlier on Tuesday that 15 to 20 letters are expected to be sent over the next two days.

The White House issued its first tranche of letters to 14 countries, including Japan, South Korea and South Africa on Monday, with tariff rates largely in line with those announced in April. Trump also signed an executive order officially pushing back the implementation date from July 9 to August 1, seemingly allowing a few more weeks for negotiations.

President Donald Trump on Wednesday sent letters dictating new U.S. tariff rates on at least seven more countries’ imports, leaning into his aggressive approach to resetting America’s global trade relationships.

The latest letters, revealed by Trump via Truth Social screenshots, were sent to the leaders of the Philippines, Brunei, Moldova, Algeria, Iraq, Libya and Sri Lanka.

Trump had teased the announcement Tuesday evening, writing on social media that he “will be releasing a minimum of 7 Countries” on Wednesday morning and an “additional number of Countries” in the afternoon.

Malaysia calls for stronger inter-ASEAN trade amid tariffs uncertainty

KUALA LUMPUR, July 9 (Reuters) – Malaysia’s Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on Wednesday urged Southeast Asian countries to “act with purpose” and enhance trade among each other in the face of global uncertainty, as regional foreign ministers met amid renewed jitters over U.S. trade tariffs.

Anwar, addressing ministers of the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations, described tariffs, export restrictions and investment barriers as “the sharpened instruments of geopolitical rivalry”.

“As we navigate external pressures, we need to fortify our internal foundations. Trade more among ourselves, invest more in one another, and advance integration across sectors with resolve,” he said.

“As global conditions remain uncertain, there is no overstressing the need to act with purpose in our own region.”

The export-reliant ASEAN is collectively the world’s fifth-biggest economy, with some members beneficiaries of supply chain realignments from China. Only Vietnam has secured a deal, which lowers the levy to 20% from 46% initially. …

The gathering in Kuala Lumpur will be include a flurry of meetings between ASEAN and its major trade partners, including the United States, China, Japan, Russia, India and the European Union.

So, more trade NOT involving the USA is proposed.

A new survey of Southeast Asian opinion leaders shows renewed trust in the EU …

More than half of opinion makers in Southeast Asia believe the European Union will “do the right thing” to improve the world, according to the latest research published by the Singapore-based ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute.

The annual survey compiles answers from the ASEAN-10 — Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, the Philippines, Myanmar, Laos, and Brunei. For the first time this year, it also includes Timor-Leste.

The institute quizzed more than 2,000 people over who they believe are “in a position to inform or influence policy” in the Southeast Asian region. …

Among other questions, they asked if participants believed the EU would “do the right thing” and “contribute to global peace, security, prosperity, and governance.” …

We are seeing another sign of less US influence in Asia, as the EU gains influence.

The US has been losing influence in Asia as China and the EU has been rising. Donald Trump’s tariffs and threats have not helped. There are many unintended consequences of Donald Trump’s policies and statements. Donald Trump’s tariff and other economic policies are getting the Gentile nations of Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia to look to trade more with each other. An unintended consequence of his rhetoric and policies is that they are encouraging the end-time rise of the final time of the Gentiles.

That is clearly happening.

Last year, in my list of 25 items to prophetically watch in 2025, I predicted:

Europe will reach out to various ones in Asia and Africa, as well as Latin America. … in 2025 Europe will work on getting more of the world to accept its standards and trading matters. … with the USA pulling out of trade deals and/or wishing to change them, steps are occurring that are pushing Europe to dominate trade (watch Trade Wars: Are COG warnings coming to pass?).

The final time of the Gentiles is approaching. We are seeing BRICS, the Global South, the EU, and others working on ways to trade and not have to deal with the descendants of Ephraim (UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand) and Manasseh (the USA).

The Europeans will work with many nations to secure stronger trade agreements.

This is also happening. The USA has been wishing to change trade deals. And the ASEAN nations are leaning more towards the European Union, the EU is trying to finalizing free trade deals with Indonesia and Thailand, while also working with Malaysia and the Philippines, plus also Central Asia.

US President Trump imposed tariffs on a global scale. Those tariffs were imposed on friend and foe alike. It seems as if President Trump is no respecter of nations. But how will this work out for the United States? Will these tariffs result in other nations drawing closer together that have had rather cold, and even not so cold, relations in the past? Will global tariffs result in trade wars? Were the events which are happening predicted by any in the Continuing Church of God? Is Europe drawing closer to China?
