Britain will crack down on gangs and may call in army support if this week’s riots are repeated, Prime Minister David Cameron said on Thursday, saying he would not allow a “culture of fear” to exist on the streets.

The United Kingdom has arrested about 1200 so far in conjunction with the situation there–and now the Prime Minister promises to hunt for many of the rest of them.  The USA will have its own riots and will almost assuredly be willing to call out troops to deal with them.  I have long expected government censorship (including the internet and perhaps other forms of social media) in the USA as well.  The fact that the UK Prime Minister wants a social media ban is a concern, but not a surprise as I reported the use of social media was a concern in London, Philadelphia, and Syria (see Facebook Riots).

Before the Great Tribulation, and after the start of the beginning of sorrows, Jesus reported:

12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.  13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved.  14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.  (Matthew 24:12-14)

Rioting and criminal behavior suggest an increase in lawlessness.  But Christians need to endure to the end AND support the proclamation of the gospel of the kingdom to the world as a witness AND then the end, meaning the start of the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:21)  and end of the Anglo-powers (Jeremiah 30:7; Daniel 11:39), will come.

I will again gone on record to declare that I believe that stopping/interfering some of us in the Living Church of God to get out our message on the internet and/or other media is likely to be something that the USA and perhaps other governments will do as we get closer the the time of Jacob’s trouble (Jeremiah 30:7)–for where this may fit in the biblical prophetic sequence, check out Herbert W. Armstrong’s, LCG’s, and my comments in the article Who is the King of the North?.

As far as the Anglo-nations go, something I read in a secular financial source was of interest:

…the ongoing, slow motion collapse of the Anglo-Saxon Empire, centered predominantly around the Eurozone and in the United States of America (Bowman J. From Riot to Riches: A look at the upside-down world economy and its violent reversion.  Daily Reckoning, August 10, 2011).

Thus, the above author has noticed that the Anglo-Saxon powers are in the process of collapse, and he is right about that.  And while the process currently will look slow to many, sudden destruction will come (cf. 1 Thessalonians 5:3; Habakkuk 2:7-8).  While I have tended to quote Habakkuk concerning the debts of the Anglo-nations, notice that the violence in their lands will also be a factor in their destruction:

7 Will not your creditors rise up suddenly?
Will they not awaken who oppress you?
And you will become their booty.
8 Because you have plundered many nations,
All the remnant of the people shall plunder you,
Because of men’s blood
And the violence of the land and the city,
And of all who dwell in it.  (Habakkuk 2:7-8)

There is violence in the UK, and there will be more violence in the USA (I also consider certain that sports are inappropriate violence in the land and the cities of the Anglo-descended nations).  Destruction will come.

While there will be problems in the Eurozone (Daniel 2:42-43) and the UK will not remain part of it as it has been, the end of Anglo-Saxon dominance is coming.  It will still take some time, but the process has begun.

Government policies, racial profiling, criminal elements, class warfare, and other causes have been given as reasons for the riots in the UK.   “Troubles” were predicted by Jesus (Mark 13:8).  The Bible also warns that lawlessness would abound (Matthew 24:12)–and this is happening in direct and public ways.

The price of stocks  and gold will fluctuate (for more current gold quotes, check out the Financial Information link, which also has links to stocks, currencies, and other financial valuations).

The idea of gold could be accumulated to support a new currency, while the US dollar tanks, is discussed on page 333 of my book 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect. And this appears to be what will happen, as well is what is we see sometimes happening now.

The financial world is somewhat starting to understand some of this–but few really know how bad it will get. The biblical reality is that US dollar will ultimately be worthless and the USA ultimately taken over because of its sins and debt. Increased interest gold (and silver) suggest decreased interest in the US dollar.   Of course, with the rapid rise in the price of gold in the past few weeks, it may go down–though I believe that after the US dollar is worthless, gold still will have value (Daniel 11; Revelation 18).

Of course, gold will not save humanity, only Jesus can do that, but it may be prudent for people to consider the signs of the times.

In Syria, the Local Co-ordination Committees, which report on and organise protests, have put up a number of Facebook updates.

Now, the West has encouraged the use of social media such as Facebook and Twitter for organizing protests in the Middle East, but apparently many have not considered that the criminals and the disgruntled have figured out how to use them for their purposes in the West.  “Flash mobs” seem to be people who decide that since they believe they have nothing better to do, that they respond to social media requests to protest and/or riot.  This may turn into a trend.

Of course, I am not objecting to the use of all “social media”, but it does seem that the world has a tendency to often misuse technical and other resources.

“Social media” may be being used as a tool of the horseman of war (Revelation 6:3-4).  And at minimum, it seems to be used to stir up part of “troubles” which also have been prophesied  as part of the “beginning of sorrows” (Mark 13:8).  If we are entering a “double-dip recession” (which I have suspected we may for some time), more protests, civil unrest, and riots may also materialize.

I still expect more civil unrest and riots in the USA and UK.  And Facebook, Twitter, and/or other forms of “social media” may be tools used to help cause them.

While this current riot may get contained, there will later be worse ones in the UK.  Interesting, race has been blamed for the initial cause:

A reader sent in some scriptures that he thought were relevant with the above article.  He wrote:

The London riots give new meaning to the scriptures…

“Your cities are burned with fire, in your very presence aliens devour your land.” RSV Isaiah 1:7

“The foreigners living among you will become stronger and stronger…” New Living Translation Deut 28:43.

“The alien who is among you shall rise…” NKJV Deut 28:43

Racial and economic factors are apparently involved.

Also, at this time there is a large march from Spain to Brussels to protest financial austerity plans in Europe, with marchers called “indignants”. The situation with the indignants may worsen as their march continues or even after it ends.  It would not surprise me in coming months and years to see civil unrest in Poland, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, and other European lands (including in the north and the east).

I have previously warned of civil unrest and riots in Anglo-dominated lands like the USA and UK–and I still expect more in the USA and UK. Specifically, I expect violent protests in the USA, UK, and Canada (though it may be different there). I also warned that protests like the indignants could turn violent last month when I first reported about them (see Spanish Marching to Brussels to Protest Austerity).

As far as Europe goes, expanded civil unrest will have major impacts on the euro and on Europe itself. It is highly likely to propel a European leader to rise up and may be a factor in the UK leaving the EU.

As mentioned before, in my book 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect, I discussed the possibility of civil unrest and/or civil war breaking out in Europe. Here are a couple of captions from the 2009 book about that:

Some believe that God will punish the nominal Catholics with civil unrest and war in Europe. As there already has been civil unrest in Europe (and according to secular sources, more is expected), it is possible that the following (to some degree) also may come to pass:..

Monk Hilarion (15^th century): “The people of the peninsula of Europe will suffer by needless wars…”

Brother Louis Rocco (19th century): “All over Europe there will rage terrible civil wars…A Great Monarch will arise after a period of terrible wars and persecutions in Europe.”

Some believe this civil unrest will result in the rise of a militaristic leader who will quell that particular violence, establish a new religious order, and reign with a pope who will perform miracles…

One interesting 15^th century Catholic prophecy foretells a time when a “great prince” will rise up. “All Germany” will apparently convert to the ecumenical religion, and then massive conversions in “all countries” “will happen quickly…

The descriptions of the Great Monarch/Prince in many ways parallel the description of one the Bible refers to as the “prince” in Daniel 9:26–27, final “King of the North” in Daniel 11:27–45…

World events are aligning with prophecy. Some of the protests may turn even more violent and this may be a major trigger for the rise of the prophesied final King of the North.

The Bible is clear that although there will be problems with the unnatural combination that we now call Europe (Daniel 2:42-43), that it still will rise up. And it is likely that because of protests and other forms of civil unrest, that the Europeans will be more willing to accept the type of militaristic leader that the Bible teaches will lead the final beast empire (Revelation 13:1-4).

Many people are superstitious. Some carry a lucky rabbit’s foot, coin, gem or medal. Some knock on wood so as not to “jinx” the outcome of a statement they made, which ancient pagans also did to invoke the benevolent acts of the tree spirits.

Some think it an evil omen if a black cat runs across the road in front of them. Some think it unlucky to open an umbrella inside or think they will jinx their team if they watch the ball game without their lucky shirt. Some think they will have luck if they find a four-leaf clover. Some make the sign of the cross as a means of warding off evil or bringing good luck. Some follow their daily horoscope religiously, as a way of divining present and future events. Some have their fortune told by tarot cards or tea leaves and some follow an ancient pre-Christian tradition of crossing their fingers for good luck

Some actors refuse to say the name of the play Macbeth because it is supposedly cursed. They will also say “break a leg” as a way of saying good luck, for to actually say “good luck” would supposedly bring bad luck. Certain colors and events also bring either bad luck or good luck to theatrical productions.

Religious books, including the Bible, have been used for superstitious purposes. A practice known as “bibliomancy”—divination by books—is used in many religions. The book is allowed to fall open and a passage is picked with closed eyes. The verse is then interpreted to answer the question or give the sign of approval or disapproval for the question in mind.

Most cultures consider certain numbers lucky or unlucky. Seven is lucky, thirteen is unlucky and deaths come in threes. Many superstitions have roots in ancient, pagan religions. Some dabble in old-time hoodoo potions, carry a mojo bag of incense, roots and herbs, or use Bible verses as incantations or magical charms.

Some would rather think in more modern and sophisticated terms like “synchronicity”—a term coined by famous Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung. He believed in the power of astrology if not in its ability to predict the future. “Meaningful coincidence” sounds better than superstitious luck.

Is that the world that God created? Do we have to throw salt over our shoulder, say “bless you” when someone sneezes, or intone a saint’s name to keep bad things from happening? Do we need an amulet in our pocket or around our neck to bring us good luck or to ward off evil spirits? Do we need a statue or sacred words for protection from evil?

When the Apostle Paul came to Athens, he stood in the midst of the Areopagus—where, according to Greek mythology, Ares the god of war was put on trial. Paul said, “Men of Athens, I perceive that in all things you are very religious (Acts 17:22). He did not mean that they practiced true religion; rather, he meant that they were caught up in their particular rituals involving temple worship and idols and other man-made practices. Paul told these Athenians that the true God does not dwell in temples made with hands and that He not worshiped with human hands. God’s divine nature is not like gold, silver or stone, or something shaped by art and human devising. Paul called on the Athenians to repent—to change—a command that applies to all of humanity. The Athenians followed their human traditions, which were in error. Human beings in our modern times still follow human traditions which are in error, including silly, superstitious actions, rituals, words and objects.

Ronald Weinland of Church of God Preparing for the Kingdom,  posted a letter which had the following:

Real fear has not yet struck, but it is now on the horizon. Strong warnings are sounding out with increasing intensity. However, the basic nature of man and woman is to bury fear—to “bury ones head in the sand,” hoping that when they look out once again that things will be better. We have arrived at a time when things are not going to get better, but instead are going to spiral downward with accelerating intensity.

The world is starting to come to the realization, although rather slowly, that the United States cannot resolve its financial crisis. Other nations are beginning to see that the U.S. does not have the will or means to change. It is for this reason that governments will move more rapidly toward “other” means to protect their interests—by moving themselves farther away from reliance on American stability and prosperity. Both stability and prosperity are increasingly being seen as a thing of the past—an era in decline.

You are witnessing the final events that are rapidly plunging the world into real fear, as a complete global economic meltdown finally strikes…the prophesied time of Jacob’s Trouble is about to increase in far greater intensity…

Now, Ronald Weinland is correct that real fear will strike, but he is not correct about the when.  In that same letter, he actually also says:

The truth is—God’s truth is—there are now 42 weeks remaining to the return of Jesus Christ as King of kings and the establishment of God’s government over all nations.

God’s truth is that JESUS WILL NOT RETURN in 42 weeks (May 27, 2012 is Ronald Weinland’s date).

While there is turmoil now, Ronald Weinland has twice falsely declared the beginning of the Great Tribulation, of which he is teaching only 42 weeks of it are left.  What is going on now IS NOT THE GREAT TRIBULATION.  At most, we are in a time that Jesus described as the “beginning of sorrows.”  And sadly, his followers do not seem to realize that.

Ronald Weinland has often proven to be a false prophet.

For example, Ronald Weinland claimed in 2008 that if the USA was not nuked by the summer of the same year that he would admit that he was a false prophet and stop preaching. But he did not keep his word then.  He should have real fear himself for being a false prophet and for falsely declaring himself and his wife Laura as the two witnesses of Revelation 11 several years ago.

Here is what one his other websites stated about some of Ronald Weinland’s prophecies back in November 2006:

From now until the latter part of 2008, many prophecies are going to begin to be fulfilled, especially the Seven Thunders of the Book of Revelation, which the apostle John saw but was restricted from recording. Those thunders are revealed in this book, as well as detailed accounts of the final three and one-half years of man’s self-rule on earth, which are recorded in the account of the Seventh Seal of Revelation.

Some of these prophecies concern the demise of the United States over the next two years, which will be followed by man’s final world war. This last war will be the result of clashing religions and the governments they sway. Billions will die! This time will far exceed even the very worst times in all human history.

As these events unfold, the world will increasingly become aware of the authenticity of the words in this book and realize that Ronald Weinland has been sent by God as His end-time prophet. (http://www.the-end.com/ 11/26/06).

When those events did not unfold, some who followed him became aware that he was false–but sadly not all have understood what this meant. Notice that back in 2006 he claimed that the seven thunders would be fulfilled in 2008–at least to the extent that he claimed that BILLIONS would die, which they did not. Now he is claiming that they will be fulfilled between now and at the latest the next 42 weeks.

Yet, Ron Weinland, who still claims to be one of the two witnesses, now claims that the Great Tribulation began on December 14, 2008 (after originally insisting that it began on April 17, 2008), and is still claiming that Jesus will return on May 27, 2012. Now, of course, I do believe that Jesus will return. World events and biblical chronology suggest that it is likely that Jesus will return before the end of this decade (see also Does God Have a 6,000 Year Plan? What Year Does the 6,000 Years End?).

Yet, the fact is that the events of the Great Tribulation have still not began, no matter what Ronald Weinland wants to suggest.

The Bible is clear that one whose prophecies do not come to pass does not speak for God:

21 “And if you say in your heart, ‘How shall we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?’– 22 when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him (Deuteronomy 18:21-22).

Ronald Weinland has often spoken presumptuously.  Notice that this should result in real fear:

12 Now the man who acts presumptuously and will not heed the priest who stands to minister there before the Lord your God, or the judge, that man shall die. So you shall put away the evil from Israel. 13 And all the people shall hear and fear, and no longer act presumptuously. (Deuteronomy 17:12-13)

26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. 28 Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. And again, “The Lord will judge His people.”  31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.  (Hebrews 10:26-31)

A few months ago, in his sermon March 12, 2011, Ronald Weinland stated the following:

So, if I’m not a prophet I’ll reason with you accordingly and be open with you about it…

So often for those who do not believe that I’m a prophet, the question is asked, “What will you do if these things do not come to pass?” And I’m going to answer that more fully in this particular sermon today…

So again, some cannot wait for me to say that I am not a prophet, or to say that I am a false prophet. Indeed, no one has long to wait do they? Isn’t that amazing? May 27, 2012 is not too far away and if Europe hasn’t risen by early 2012 and if China does not begin destroying the earth before that date, then the reality would be manifest much sooner, obviously. You don’t have to wait until 2012.

As far as the question they ask; what would I do? Well, first I’d repent before God and the Church. I’d acknowledge my sin and pray that God have mercy upon me for being so horribly  presumptuous.  Candidly (and some are going to really hate hearing this), I’d deeply repent of all those things that concern prophecies that I have given in the office of a prophet BUT I’d seek to hold fast to all that I believe with all my being to be true concerning the word of God. I would begin to go back through all 57 Truths (and I’d hope others would do exactly the same thing), IF… just to be open about it. I’d go back through all 57 Truths and eliminate those that are shown to be untrue, repenting as I did so; but I would hold fast to all that I believed to be true. (Weinland R. We will see if Ronald Weinland publicly repents by the end of May in 2012.  He did not keep his word the last time he publicly so stated, thus he seems to be one who sins willfully–thus since he claims to have the truth of the Bible, he should have real fear (cf. Hebrews 10:26-31).

I feel sorry for Ronald Weinland and those who follow him. Hopefully now more of them will wake up. Because the main “Great Tribulation” that his followers are experiencing now is continuing to be led by the imaginations of Ronald Weinland.  I believe that he has been able to confuse his followers as sorrows and troubles are hitting that perhaps he is right–but he is not.

The biblical Great Tribulation has not yet began and those who believe otherwise have allowed themselves to be deceived. None should follow Ronald Weinland, nor other false prophets (the followers of Harold Camping will be very disappointed in less than 12 weeks when his third prediction for the return of Jesus will be shown to be false).

Ronald Weinland himself should be experiencing real fear for the falsehoods he continues to spread.

Last week’s losing streak on Wall Street continued Monday with the Dow Jones Industrial Average losing 634.76 points and 5.55 percent of its value.

The Bible warns that the pride of power will be broken (Leviticus 26:19), and both the UK and USA are being affected.

National repentance is the only real long-term hope for the UK and USA (and it seems to be too late for that),  There are carnal solutions that the UK and USA could do nowthat could help extend the situation, but too many of its leaders have rejected God and have the type of “reprobate mind” that prevents them from seeing even those “convenient” options (cf. Romans 1:18-32, KJV).

A couple of days ago, I warned that the UK could have more civil unrest (for prophetic and other details see Riots in London and Spain).  Civil unrest is also expected for the USA (as well as for continental Europe).  The drop in the US Dow today is even higher than that of last Thursday (see Dow Drops 512.76 Points, Biggest Drop Since 2008).

Now, although these things are troubling, the end is not yet:

5 And Jesus, answering them, began to say: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 6 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He,’ and will deceive many. 7 But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled; for such things must happen, but the end is not yet. 8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows. (Mark 13:5-8)

At most, we are in what Jesus referred to as “the beginning of sorrows”, which precede the Great Tribulation (which will not start before 2015 and more likely a later year than that).

According to Bible prophecy, the end of the Anglo-dominance of the world is coming (Jeremiah 30:7; Daniel 11:39), and the final age of the Gentiles (Luke 21:20-24; Daniel 11:39) will be here in a relatively few years.  And there are likely to be a lot more troubles before it gets even worse.

Indian Economy Can Weather US Credit Downgrade, Says New Delhi

India says it is in a better position than many other nations to manage the challenge arising from the downgrading of the U.S. government’s credit worthiness…

Central Bank officials also moved to calm markets, which slid during the day, pointing out that the country’s economy remained resilient despite the 2008 financial crisis and continued to grow at around seven per cent.

To a large extent, this was because India is sustained by a large domestic market and is less dependent on exports than many Asian economies.

It is interesting that India basically believes because it has relatively exports to the USA, that this is a reason that whatever happens to the USA will not affect it much.  On the other hand, Indians tend to buy a lot of gold, and gold hit a record (see Gold Breaks $1700 Wall Street Journal or for the latest price, which changes both up and down go to the Financial Information link).

Stocks, not surprisingly, have not done as well (and they may go back up):

Emphasis upon key stages of the city’s past as Canaanite Jebus, City of David and Zion, Nehemiah’s Jerusalem, Herodian Jerusalem, Roman Colonia Aelia Capitolina, and Byzantine Jerusalem. Special emphasis placed on the Temple Mount, Cenacle, and Golgotha.
