The USA has had debt negotiations, deficit reduction panels, debt ceiling deals, and sequestration.  And the result?

Some of the debt increases have theoretically been reduced.

Despite rhetoric about debt reduction, the reality is that the USA debt continues to rise.  This reminds me of the old expression that Nero fiddled while Rome burned.

As far as the federal debt, it is shown below:

And the above Debt Clock does not such devaluations of the USA dollar such as the so-called “quantitative easing” programs put forth by the US Federal Reserve, which have added a couple of trillion dollars themselves.

My 2009 book 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect warned that the USA will continue to greatly increase its debt:

Because the U.S.A. owes alien nations trillions of dollars, it appears that the curse in Deuteronomy 28:44 of having to borrow from aliens is happening to it now. President Barack Obama has put forth economic policies that will (for at least several years) greatly increase that debt. Yet, increasing national debt like this will lead to destruction at the appointed time of the end (Habakkuk 2:3, 6–8).

The USA national debt clock registered $11 trillion in July 2009 when 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect went to press and is now closer to $17 trillion–this prediction about debt going up has sadly been coming to pass. 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect also warned:

Because of domestic economic concerns and international pressures, Barack Obama is shifting priorities away from defense spending… This will help lead to the destruction of the United States, when the Europeans are ready and the U.S.A. is not.

That too is coming to pass. (BTW, more on this is also included in my 2013 book titled Barack Obama, Prophecy, and the Destruction of the United States-Second Edition for Second Obama Term.)

How did I know this?

Partially, because the Bible teaches the following:

12…Those who lead you cause you to err, And destroy the way of your paths.” (Isaiah 3:12)

16 For the leaders of this people cause them to err, And those who are led by them are destroyed (Isaiah 9:16).

43 The alien who is among you shall rise higher and higher above you, and you shall come down lower and lower. 44 He shall lend to you, but you shall not lend to him; he shall be the head, and you shall be the tail. 45 Moreover all these curses shall come upon you and pursue and overtake you, until you are destroyed because you did not obey the voice of the LORD your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which He commanded you…47 “Because you did not serve the LORD your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of everything, 48 therefore you shall serve your enemies, whom the LORD will send against you, in hunger, in thirst, in nakedness, and in need of everything; and He will put a yoke of iron on your neck until He has destroyed you. 49 The LORD will bring a nation against you from afar, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flies, a nation whose language you will not understand, 50 a nation of fierce countenance, which does not respect the elderly nor show favor to the young. 51 And they shall eat the increase of your livestock and the produce of your land, until you are destroyed; they shall not leave you grain or new wine or oil, or the increase of your cattle or the offspring of your flocks, until they have destroyed you. 52 They shall besiege you at all your gates until your high and fortified walls, in which you trust, come down throughout all your land; and they shall besiege you at all your gates throughout all your land which the LORD your God has given you (Deuteronomy 28:42-45,47-52)

3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry…5 Indeed, because he transgresses by wine, He is a proud man… 6 “Will not all these take up a proverb against him, And a taunting riddle against him, and say, ‘Woe to him who increases What is not his–how long? And to him who loads himself with many pledges’? 7 Will not your creditors rise up suddenly? Will they not awaken who oppress you? And you will become their booty. 8 Because you have plundered many nations, All the remnant of the people shall plunder you (Habakkuk 2:3,5,6-8).

The above prophecy will be fulfilled at the time of the end (cf. “The message was true, but the appointed time was long…in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come”, Daniel 10:1,14). Daniel 8:19, 11:27,29,35 use same the Hebrew term for “appointed time” as Habakkuk 2:3, while Daniel 10, using a different term, ties the latter days to the time in Daniel 8:19. Habakkuk 2 was not fulfilled in its entirety anciently. Also, it makes little sense that Habakkuk would be directed towards the modern nation of Israel as it does not have enemy creditors. It must be a nation or group of nations with some prominence at the appointed time of the end.

The nation with the greatest debt of all time is the United States of America, and on a per capita basis may be the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

It is the the United States and its Anglo-allies that have loaded pledges of debt in these end times that they really do not expect to pay back. In that respect they have recently plundered many nations. And while much is owed to nations such as China, Japan, and the Arab World, the Europeans have trillions of dollars invested in the USA–money they may be disappointed to have devalued. Enough so that they may divide the land among themselves and other creditors.

While your nation probably will not repent (Anglo or otherwise), you can. Do not wait until it is too late. The fact that the debt clock has exceeded $16 trillion (and worse including the debt created via “quantitative easing”) should serve as a wake-up call that the end of the USA will be coming (Habakkuk 2:3,5,6-8; Deuteronomy 28:42-45,47-52).

The Bible warns that the Beast power will takeover those with the strongest military fortresses (Daniel 11:39) and destroy many in their so-called prosperity (Daniel 8:25).  These prophecies are referring to the Anglo-descended nations, including the USA.

A meeting related to Calvinism is supposed to happen today and tomorrow:

Is God’s saving grace free to anyone who accepts Jesus, or did God predestine certain people for heaven and hell before the beginning of the world? That’s a 500-year-old question, but it is creating real divisions in 2013 in the nation’s largest Protestant denomination.

Calvinism is named for the 16th Century theologian John Calvin. Among other things, it teaches that Jesus died only for those who have been elected by God for salvation. That idea does not sit well with many non-Calvinist Baptists, who believe Jesus died for the whole world…

a special advisory committee to SBC Executive Committee President Frank Page issued a statement meant to bring the two sides together and chart a way forward.

The statement comes just ahead of the SBC’s annual meeting in Houston on June 11 and 12. I have dealt with Calvinism before and Five Point Calvinism (which is about 25% worse than Four Point Calvinism) is clearly unbiblical and should be denounced.

Last year Shepherd’s Voice magazine (Spring 2012)had the following in a letter to former WCG/GCG member Norman Edwards:

I am a committed Five Point Calvinist.

The letter writer brought up many points that Norman Edwards took the time to refute. Yet (probably because of space in a print publication) did not discuss that point “in any detail.” But I would like to now.

Interestingly, some have claimed that even John Calvin himself did not believe in what is now known as five-point Calvinism, often abbreviated as TULIP. And while what John Calvin personally believed on all five points is of little interest, what I do wish to do here is to analyze what has been reported as the five-point doctrine known as TULIP.

T for “total depravity”, U for “unconditional election”, L for “limited atonement”, I for “irresistible grace”, and P for “p perseverance of saints”.

I will try to address the first point in this post (all are dealt with in the article ).

T: Total Depravity?

About three years ago, in its Bible Advocate magazine, CG7-Denver’s former president, Calvin Burrell had the following:

The fifteenth century Protestant theologian John Calvin stressed the divine side of this mysterious equation. The acrostic TULIP was later applied to his teachings:

T – Total depravity: All men fell in Adam, leaving them dead in sins and incapable of responding positively to God. (Burrell C. Questions and Answers. Bible Advocate. May-June 2010, p. 7)

(Note that John Calvin was 16th, not 15th, century Protestant theologian.)

The Bible teaches:

29 That God made man upright, But they have sought out many schemes. (Ecclesiastes 7:29)

So, “total depravity” could be considered to have minimized the above.

Now it is true that the Bible teaches that in Adam all die (1 Corinthians 15:22), but it also teaches that men are capable of responding positively to God’s calling (Acts 2:38-41; John 6:44; Revelation 17:14; Matthew 20:16).

There would be no point in fulfilling the following teachings of Jesus if humans could not respond:

14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. (Matthew 24:14)

18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20)

Although God must call, humans can respond.

T.U.L.I.P, Five Point Calvinism, is not a biblical position. But it has influenced Protestantism. Yet Protestants, and everyone else, needs to base their beliefs closer to those actually taught in the Bible and not by people such as John Calvin.

While the Shi’ites of Iran have long hoped that the Sunni Muslims would support them and allow Iran to control the Middle East and Arab world, the Sunnis have, of course, resisted.  Here is a report that the some Sunnis are getting a bit assertive and insulting towards that Shi’ites:

BEIRUT/CAIRO: Sunni Muslim preachers condemned Iran and its “Satanic” Shi’ite allies in Friday sermons after a battle in Syria that has inflamed sectarian rhetoric which risks spreading violence around the Middle East…

in Saudi Arabia, a bastion of hardline Sunni theology and opposition to Iran, a senior cleric aligned with the U.S.-allied government spoke of a Shi’ite “plot against Islam” that was made newly apparent in the assault by Lebanese Hezbollah fighters on Sunni rebels in the Syrian town of Qusair.

The two-year-old uprising against Iranian-backed Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, whose Alawite minority is an offshoot of Shi’ite Islam, has taken an ever more poisonously sectarian tone as the number of dead and displaced has soared, increasing risks of inflaming the broader Sunni-Shi’ite confrontation.

In Egypt, by far the most populous Arab state, where the Arab Spring protests of 2011 brought the Sunni Islamist Muslim Brotherhood to power, a leading cleric and Brotherhood member led televised prayers on Friday in which he described Hezbollah – ‘the party of God’ in Arabic – as “the party of Satan”.

The Arab League is mainly composed of countries whose populations are dominated by Sunni Muslim, while Syria’s President Assad is a Shi’ite Muslim who is aligned with the Shi’ite Muslim dominated Iran.

One of the most influential groups against the Assad regime is the Sunni Muslim group known as the Muslim Brotherhood. A

While the press, in general, tends to focus more on bombs than religion, the reality is that the Muslim Brotherhood is attempting to take advantage of various situations in the Arab nations and is having success in many places. Remember, that just three years ago the Muslim Brotherhood was an outlawed group in places like Egypt, but now dominates the government there.

Instead of being concerned about the Muslim Brotherhood, the USA, directly and indirectly, has supported it in various portions of the Middle East (including Syria, Egypt, Somalia, and Libya, to name just four).

Notice some quotes from an article that has been at the Muslim Brotherhood’s official website for years:

What is the Muslim Brotherhood?
The world’s largest and most influential Islamist movement…“The Islamic nation,” its charter states, “must be fully prepared to fight the tyrants and the enemies of Allah as a prelude to establishing an Islamic state”—ideally a re-established caliphate, stretching from Spain across the Middle East and Central Asia to Indonesia, to be governed according to Islamic sharia law…

What is its stance toward Israel and the U.S.?
Unremittingly negative. In past decades, the group had a blatantly anti-Semitic agenda, translating Hitler’s Mein Kampf and the forged Protocols of the Elders of Zion into Arabic and disseminating them to foment hatred of the Jews. More recently, it has contented itself with railing against “U.S. and Zionist domination.” (Understanding the Muslim Brotherhood. The Muslim Brotherhood apparently wants as its top priority a pan-national Islamic caliphate ruled by an Imam. This is basically an Islamic confederation or empire. This confederation will not end up with Spain if I understand certain aspects of Bible prophecy correctly, but the confederation of the final King of the South may go from around Western Sahara and/or Mauritania to Oman (with possible involvement and/or coordination with Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan and/or Indonesia).

But notice that its beliefs about the USA and Israel are negative, yet the USA keeps supporting it.

And while some may dismiss all the goals of the Muslim Brotherhood as wishful thinking, this idea of an Arabic confederation is consistent with biblical prophecies. Notice that the Bible talks of a coming confederation of nations that are composed of peoples from North Africa and the Middle East, and it calls the leader the King of the South:

40 “At the time of the end the king of the South shall attack him; and the king of the North shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter the countries, overwhelm them, and pass through. 41 He shall also enter the Glorious Land, and many countries shall be overthrown; but these shall escape from his hand: Edom, Moab, and the prominent people of Ammon. 42 He shall stretch out his hand against the countries, and the land of Egypt shall not escape. 43 He shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt; also the Libyans and Ethiopians shall follow at his heels. (Daniel 11:40-44, NKJV)

In the above, notice that Iran is NOT mentioned.  Iran is East of Jerusalem, and is not the King of the South.

A coming confederation of Islamic lands is something that the Muslim Brotherhood is hoping to bring to pass.  Shi’ite Iran is not the King of the South and will not lead that power.

A careful review of the news shows that it is the Sunni Muslim Brotherhood that is making progress towards that goal.

This month, the government of Israel and representatives of the Vatican are to have further discussions on who is to control an area that could have housed the original Christian church building:

A structure on Mt. Zion known as the Cenacle, where the Last Supper is believed to have taken place, will become open to Catholic worship once again, Italian newspaper La Stampa reported. Fiske G. Many believe that the first building constructed by Christians was basically patterned after Jewish synagogues and was on the Western Hill in Jerusalem. A hill that some call Sion/Zion.

The late fourth century historian Epiphanius recorded that a Christian building was mentioned existing no later that by 135 A.D.   Epiphanius wrote the following (a portion of which I have bolded for clarity):

 {Hadrian} found the temple of God trodden down and the whole city devastated save for a few houses and the church of God, which was small, where the disciples, when they had returned after the Savior had ascended from the Mount of Olives, went to the upper room. For there it had been built, that is, in that portion of Zion which escaped destruction, together with blocks of houses in the neighborhood of Zion and the seven synagogues which alone remained standing in Zion, like solitary huts, one of which remained until the time of Maximona the bishop and Constantine the king. That building may have been the first Christian building.

While it is often commonly referred to as the Cenacle, it may best be referred to as “Church of God on Jerusalem’s Western Hill.”

Even though much of the site is impacted by Greco-Romans, is it possible that God could possibly consider that the area is sufficiently related to the temple that it could possibly fulfill 2 Thessalonians 2:4?

Although this is not yet clear, there are some reasons to think that it might. Notice the following two reports:

An historic agreement has been drafted between Israel and the Vatican. The Israeli authorities have granted the Pope an official seat in the room where the Last Supper is believed to have taken place, on Mount Zion in Jerusalem, and where David and Solomon, Jewish kings of Judea, are considered by some researchers, to also be buried.

It is the culmination of a long campaign by the Catholic Church to regain religious stewardship over the place where Jesus is supposed to have broken bread and drunk wine with his disciples on the eve of his crucifixion.

This is an enormous issue pushed through without any public debate.

According to our sources, the agreement, which is expected to be ratified next June, gives the Pope a “special authority” over the second floor of the building, so that Christian pilgrims will be able to celebrate religious functions like Pope John Paul did in 2000.

The agreement constitutes Israel’s capitulation to the Vatican’s efforts to “Christianize” the holy site, like when a Catholic convent was built in Auschwitz.

The Catholic Church has long wanted control over part of the area on Mt. Zion so as to turn it into an international religious center for Catholics. The blueprint of the agreement reads as follows: “The Vatican hands over this use of the Cenacle to the Custody of the Holy Land which will keep the Cenacle open from 6 AM to 8 AM for the celebration of the Holy Mass”.

In the long term, the gesture will increase tensions between Jews and the large assets of the Vatican. The Church has long been working to reduce Jewish rights in Jerusalem and in the Old City. Now, after the Muslim Waqf authority expelled the Christians from the Temple Mount and turned it into a mosque, it’s the turn of the Vatican to lay its hands on the Jewish Jerusalem.

The Custody of the Holy Land, the Franciscan order who, with Vatican approval, is in charge of the holy sites, campaigns with the Arabs against Israel.

As far back as May 2000, Yasser Arafat met Islamic and Christian clergymen at the presidential offices in Ramallah to back Palestinian Arab sovereignty over Jerusalem. Among the clergymen who attended the meeting, Diodoros I, patriarch of the Greek Orthodox Church, Torkom II, patriarch of the Armenian Orthodox Church, Catholic Patriarch Michel Sabbah and officials from the Custody of the Holy Land.

“An official meeting took place in Ramallah, Palestine, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Palestine”. This is the official note of the Vatican press office about the meeting between the Catholic officials and the PLO representatives which took place this week.

The Vatican is also asking that Israel hand over to the Vatican’s control dozens of sites, 19 in Judea and Samaria and 28 in Jerusalem. The Catholic Church want to discuss some properties on Mount of Olives, Har Hazeitim, which is the very history of the Jewish people. If you want to keep Jerusalem united, you have to keep Har Hazeitim. The Vatican knows that.

In 1989 charges were made by the Catholic authorities that Israel desecrated the Cenacle on Mount Zion. The charges, which appeared in the Italian bishops’ newspaper Avvenire, said that the Israelis put a memorial plaque on the roof of the Cenacle. The plaque was put in place after the 1948 War of Independence in memory of soldiers who fell in the Old City and whose burial place was unknown. Every year, the bereaved families cleaned the plaque.

Why did the Catholic authorities complain? Last year a similar charge was made from the Catholic authorities that Israel wants to “Judaize” Mount Zion.

Should the Vatican gain sovereignty over Mount of Zion, millions of Christian pilgrims will flock to the site, and this will threaten the Israeli presence in the Old City’s Jewish Quarter and Jewish access to the Western Wall.

The Vatican wants the Jews out of the Old City and apparently Israel’s government is agreeing with them. Turning the Cenacle into an active church is also a way of desecrating the holiness of the site known as the Tomb of David.

The Vatican and the Palestinian Liberation Organisation expressed a common position in the Basic Agreement of 15 February 2000, intended to support the recognition of a special statute for the City of Jerusalem. In the memorandum, signed by Vatican officials and the PLO, an organization dedicated to the mass deportation of Israel’s Jews, the Catholic Church wants Israel relinquishing sovereignty at the Western Wall and the Temple Mount. The Vatican-PLO agreement’s preamble on Jerusalem shows that the Vatican’s attitude on Israel’s capital is still stuck in the unforgivable anti-Semitic rhetoric of the 1940s.

Until 1948, Christian access to the Cenacle was severely limited, because it was used as a mosque. Since then, the State of Israel is committed to protecting the holy places of all religions, and guaranteeing the right of worship for all faiths.

But no Israeli government must tolerate any policy of division, “shared control” or “internationalization” that opens the door to a return to the Arab apartheid of Jordanian occupation between 1948 and 1967.

Reportedly the outlines of a deal were reached last January, under which church properties used for religious purposes would remain tax-exempt, but not church-owned businesses. Israel would designate certain holy sites as safe from expropriation except in emergency situations for public safety, and a leasing arrangement would be worked out for the Cenacle on Mount Zion.

Whether or not this is the original Christian church building, the fact that the Church of Rome now has at least tentative permission for the Pope (and others) to have a seat there suggests there is a chance the man of sin (the Beast of Revelation 13 and King of the North of Daniel 11, see Who is the Man of Sin of 2 Thessalonians 2?) might.

I will simply add an eleventh, economists do not realize how dangerous some of their policies are and what the Bible shows will happen to the USA:

25 He shall destroy many in their prosperity. (Daniel 8:25)

39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain.  (Daniel 11:39)

Irrespective of their political leanings, economists rarely rely much on the Bible and seem to not understand how dangerous certain aspects of the US debt and certain other economic policies are.

Biblically, the debt problems are more serious than most people realize. Notice what the Bible warns about those who increase debt in the end times:

3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry…5 Indeed, because he transgresses by wine, He is a proud man… 6 “Will not all these take up a proverb against him, And a taunting riddle against him, and say, ‘Woe to him who increases What is not his–how long? And to him who loads himself with many pledges’? 7 Will not your creditors rise up suddenly? Will they not awaken who oppress you? And you will become their booty. 8 Because you have plundered many nations, All the remnant of the people shall plunder you. Because of men’s blood And the violence of the land and the city, And of all who dwell in it. (Habakkuk 2:3,5,6-8).

The USA is in more debt than any country in the history of humanity–and it probably has more economists than any other country. Despite biblical warnings, the USA continues to increase its debt and engage in political posturing. At some point in time, the USA will likely start to experience massive inflation and currency devaluation. And afterwards, its creditors will rise up (Habakkuk 2:7). The realities of USA debt as well as policies of the Federal Reserve like “quantitative easing” are setting the stage for the absolute end of economic dominance by the U.S.A.–have no doubt about it (although there could be some major positive economic events before that happens).

While the Republicans and Democrats have often used this as a major partisan fight and sometimes treat this like a political game, the reality is that the rest of the world is also watching and is very disturbed by all of this (see earlier post IMF: Suspending debt ceiling hurts United States tremendously). The Europeans and others are realizing that the USA is losing its position of world leadership–and when it does, this will be the final “time of the Gentiles” that the Bible warns of (Ezekiel 30:2-3; Luke 21:23-24; Revelation 11:2). The leaders in the USA are causing the nation to err (cf. Isaiah 3:12; 9:16).

The policies and decisions in Washington, D.C. are helping to create the conditions for the upcoming European Beast power to fill the void in economic (and even military) leadership that the USA is in the process of making.

Change is coming, and in several years, those in the USA (as well as their Anglo-allies) will not like the change that is coming.

The USA needs national repentance or it, despite its military strength, is doomed (cf. Daniel 11:39; Habakkuk 2:5-8). However, individually, you can repent (Acts 2:38-39) and you can be protected (Luke 21:36).

The Lady of Kingdoms

The Bible warns of a “virgin” that uses enchantments  who is also called the Lady of Kingdoms:

1 Come down, sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne for the daughter of the Chaldeans, for thou shalt no more be called delicate and tender…4 Our redeemer, the Lord of hosts is his name, the Holy One of Israel. 5 Sit thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called the lady of kingdoms. 6  I was angry with my people, I have polluted my inheritance, and have given them into thy bend: thou hast shown no mercy to them: upon the ancient thou hast laid thy yoke exceeding heavy.

7 And thou hast said: I shall be a lady forever: thou hast not laid these things to thy heart, neither hast thou remembered thy latter end.

8 And now hear these things, thou that art delicate, and dwellest confidently, that sayest in thy heart: I am, and there is none else besides me: I shall not sit as a widow, and I shall not know barrenness.

9 These two things shall come upon thee suddenly in one day, barrenness and widowhood. All things are come upon thee, because of the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great hardness of thy enchanters. 10 And thou best trusted in thy wickedness, and hast said: There is none that seeth me. The Bible also seems to connect the Lady’s haughty comments in verses 7 & 8 with those of the harlot of Revelation 17:1, 18; 18:7-8, 11 and the city in Zephaniah 2:15.

Some may be surprised to see this, but this immoral “Lady” also seems to have the title of “queen” and “harlot”:

7 You thought, ‘I shall be a queen forever.’ 8…’I am the only one who matters. I shall never be widowed, never know bereavement.’ 9 Yet both these things will befall you, suddenly, in one day. Bereavement and widowhood will suddenly befall you… (Isaiah 47:7, 8b, 9 NJB)

4 Because of the multitude of harlotries of the seductive harlot, The mistress of sorceries, Who sells nations through her harlotries, And families through her sorceries. (Nahum 3:4, NKJV)

5 Look, I am against you!- declares Yahweh Sabaoth- I shall lift your skirts as high as your face and show your nakedness to the nations, your shame to the kingdoms. (Nahum 3:5, NJB)

3 All the nations have drunk deep of the wine of her prostitution; every king on the earth has prostituted himself with her, and every merchant grown rich through her debauchery. (Revelation 18:3, NJB)

 17:1…Come, I will shew thee the condemnation of the great harlot, who sitteth upon many waters…18:7 As much as she hath glorified herself, and lived in delicacies, so much torment and sorrow give ye to her; because she saith in her heart: I sit a queen, and am no widow; and sorrow I shall not see. 8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine,and she shall be burnt with the fire; because God is strong, who shall judge her. (Revelation 17:1b,18:7-8, DRB)

So, what will happen to the queen/Lady of the Kingdoms as well as to Babylon is warned against in Revelation. (Thiel B.  Fatima Shock!  Nazarene Books. 2012, pp. 152-155)

Ignoring the biblical teachings against transvestism, various train operators in Sweden are wearing skirts to protest  a dress-code they do not care for:

STOCKHOLM –  Commuters on a train line in northern Stockholm were met with an unusual sight this week: male train drivers and conductors wearing skirts to work.

Train driver Martin Akersten says he and more than a dozen others at the Roslagsbanan line have started wearing skirts in the summer as a protest against the train company’s uniform policy, which doesn’t allow shorts.

Not only is this form of protest distressing, the report that the responses from customers has been positive shows how far the people in Sweden have moved away from biblical standards of dress.

“Cross-dressing” is condemned as an abomination in the Bible:

5 A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman’s garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the Lord your God. (Deuteronomy 22:5)

The Bible clearly condemns cross-dressing.  The Bible also condemns males acting effeminate:

9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,  10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.  (1 Corinthians 6:9-10, KJV)

Cross-dressing and wearing skirts is not something the males in Sweden should be doing.  They should not violate the biblical ‘dress-code’ because they do not like an employer’s dress-code.

The Bible also warns about not only those who do acts that the Bible prohibits, but also warns about those that approve them:

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man — and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them. (Romans 1:18-32)

The Swedes are a descendant of Naphtali, a child of Israel (cf. Genesis 49:21).  They need to heed what the Bible says.  There are more biblically-appropriate ways to deal with employment concerns over matters like wearing shorts than men wearing skirts.

An announcement that could have prophetic ramifications was announced a few hours ago:

A top U.S. official says President Barack Obama and his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, have agreed that North Korea must abandon its nuclear weapons program.

National security adviser Tom Donilon said the leaders also agreed at an informal summit that neither country will accept North Korea as a nuclear state.

Newly-appointed Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi told reporters Saturday that President Xi had told Obama that Beijing and Washington were in agreement on the North Korean nuclear issue.

Both advisers spoke to reporters as the leaders of the world’s two largest economies ended a two-day informal summit in California…

North Korea depends heavily on China for aid and trade, and Beijing maintains close ties with Pyongyang. However, North Korea’s bellicose rhetoric, including threat of nuclear strikes on the United States, has visibly cooled those ties, as have a rocket launch and another nuclear test in the past year.

If this is true, it could be a game-changer for the region.

North Korea needs China’s support and if China really makes this denuclearization a reality, then North Korea may decide that it needs to change some of its ways.

Many of the people in North Korea are suffering and hungry.  If North Korea would shift from being a militaristic nuclear power to more of a food and manufacturing producer, this should benefit them as well as ease tensions in the region.

It also could be a step that could possibly lead to some type of reunification with South Korea.  Which is something that I believe is consistent with biblical prophecy.

Whether this reunification will be because of a war or peace,  or something else (such as waiting until Revelation 9:16; & 16:2), is not clear.  But the situation in Korea will change.  And maybe this is a step in that direction.  The talks that the North Koreans agreed to a few days ago (North Korea says it wants to talk) may also be a step that way.

Sadly, however, North Korea does not always take steps in the right direction, but perhaps China will help.

ISTANBUL (AP) — Turkey’s prime minister convened his party leadership on Saturday to discuss anti-government protests that have entered their ninth day, as an opposition party leader urged the government to call early elections and renew its mandate.

With thousands of people still occupying Istanbul’s central Taksim Square, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, met with top officials from his Justice and Development Party in Istanbul. Barack Obama and Xi Jinping meet as cyber-scandals swirl

US and China presidents’ summit takes place amid tensions over state-versus-state hacking and revelations about NSA reaping data from phone and internet accounts of millions.

President Barack Obama has brushed aside the outcry over surveillance operations by the US government to tell China’s President Xi Jinping he wants a world order where all countries play by the same rules on cybersecurity.

Obama opened a two-day summit at a baking Californian desert estate on Friday evening with a call for closer ties between Beijing and Washington…

Obama singled out cybersecurity, as well as North Korea, climate change and intellectual property rights as areas where the US and China needed to cooperate.

President Barack Obama is calling for a “firm understanding” of how the United States and China will work together to resolve their differences on cybersecurity.  Obama and Chinese President Xi Jinping began two days of meetings Friday at an estate in California.

The president and his Chinese counterpart met for more than two hours, and focused on the contentious issue of cybersecurity.

Obama said advances in technology have created a need for clear protocols about what is and is not acceptable for governments to do.

The U.S. accuses China of hacking into American government and business computer systems.

Xi said his country is “firm in upholding cybersecurity.”  He said China has also been hit with cyberattacks, but did not say who was responsible.  http://www.voanews.com/content/obama-xi-discuss-cybersecurity/1677804.html

Both the USA and China are involved in cyber warfare and surveillance.  China has admitted it (China admits to cyberwarfare strategy) as had the USA (Obama Administration admits to spying on residents telephone records; and then there is Scotland).  The USA even has a Cyber Command.  The logo for the USA’s entity is shown below:

While China is rising up and the USA truly considers it to be a military and cyber threat, the Bible does not teach that China will be the main power to takeover the USA.

However, I believe that USA preoccupation with China, combined with excessive trust of certain ones in Europe, is what will lead the fulfillment of biblical prophecies such as those found in Daniel 11:39 (which shows that the “strongest fortresses,” which are currently controlled by the USA, will be taken over by the European King of the North).

I strongly suspect that because of concerns about China that the USA will share too much information that its Cyber Command Command and other agencies develop with the Europeans.  The Bible is clear that the Beast to come is European (for details see video Can You Prove that the Beast to Come is European? or read the article Europa, the Beast, and Revelation) and that it will have the ability to control buying and selling and force false worship (Revelation 13:15-17)–this shows a certain type of surveillance control–and the USA will likely provide the European technology and other information that will assist in the fulfillment of those prophecies.

China, while avoiding the type of debt and certain other issues that the USA is entangling itself into, has a lot of internal issues which will affect it.  Since, however, it is a major rising power, the USA will tend to fear it less than the Europeans.  This will be a major mistake for the USA.
