Donald Trump made statements that a Trump Administration might not send US troops to support an attacked NATO country if that nation has not been spending an agreed upon amount on its military:

Donald Trump has said that if he is elected president he may abandon a guarantee of protection to fellow Nato countries.

Speaking to the New York Times, Mr Trump said the US would only come to the aid of allies if they have “fulfilled their obligations to us”.

Members of Nato have all signed a treaty that says they will come to the aid of any member that is attacked. …

Mr Trump’s comments hit at the fundamental basis of the Atlantic alliance; that an attack on one ally is an attack on all.

Under Article 5 of Nato’s founding treaty, allies are bound to come to the aid of a member under attack.

The US has long been pressing its European allies to spend more on defence. That is slowly beginning to have an effect.

But never has there been a suggestion that the US would renege on its responsibilities. …

Asked about Russian aggression towards Nato countries in the Baltic region, Mr Trump suggested the US might abandon the longstanding protections offered by the US to such nations. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-36852805

US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said a NATO ally would not necessarily receive the backing of the US military in a crisis situation.

A NATO member would only receive help from the US military if they had fulfilled their commitments to the alliance, Trump said.

Other parts of the interview indicated that Trump would be willing to significantly lower the priority of US troop deployments. He mostly cited the costs of such deployments, indicating that the US was shouldering too much of the burden of keeping other countries safe and that America suffers in terms of trade losses as a result. …

“We are spending a fortune on military in order to lose $800 billion,” Trump told the Times.

Trump also referred to America’s role as a global influencer, saying America needed to focus on its own problems before lecturing other nations on how to handle theirs.

“When the world sees how bad the United States is and we start talking about civil liberties, I don’t think we are a very good messenger,” he said, referring specifically to whether or not the United States should weigh in on Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s handling of a coup attempt in Turkey.

On the surface, it may seem reasonable that if a nation in the NATO alliance is in violation of their military spending agreements, essentially be considered in default of their NATO ‘contract,’ and thus not receive ‘benefits’ from that contract.

But realize that once nations in Europe begin to spend more on their militaries, that this will have consequences that it does not seem that Donald Trunp has considered.

While all realize that World War I and World War II mainly involved war from a major power in Europe (there were also wars in Asia and Africa), some fail to realize that it will be the same for what I have called World War III (see World War III: Steps in Progress).

Before getting to the Bible, notice something that was sent to me in Spanish last night, with a machine-translation into English below it:

The European Union (EU) would be “the second military power” in the world if Veintiocho unite their defense capabilities, says the co-director of the Institute of Studies on Conflicts and Humanitarian Action (IECAH), Jesus Nunez, who lamented the current “shortsightedness disturbing view “of European leaders.

“If we add the capabilities that now has the European Union in defense automatically we would become the second military power on earth, and if we are not is because there is no political will, because each national government is considering key that is better be head mouse lion’s tail, “said the commander in the reserve, an expert in conflict.

The problem is that the defense is one of the few policies weight that European states have not yet been transferred to Brussels, he added, to explain the “resistance” to integration in this area, which identified three very different positions.

So, at least one analyst already believes that Europe (including the UK which plans to leave the Brussels-based European Union) is essentially the second military power in the world, if it transferred its power to a central authority.  And that is before it would increase its military spending as the USA has encouraged, and a President Trump might insist upon.

Now getting to the Bible, first let’s look at the Book of Revelation:

12 “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. (Revelation 17:12-13)

The above shows two future reorganizations in Europe (see also Must the Ten Kings of Revelation 17:12 Rule over Ten Currently Existing Nations?). Notice that the power and authority are given to one central leader in verse 13.

Is this a warring leader? Well yes, since the Bible says that the world will marvel over the military success of this leader:

3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” (Revelation 13:3-4)

The Book of Daniel shows that this European Beast power will destroy the USA (the land with the ‘strongest fortresses’) and a confederation of nations that are predominantly Muslim:

39 He will attack the mightiest fortresses with the help of a foreign god and will greatly honor those who acknowledge him. He will make them rulers over many people and will distribute the land at a price. 40“At the time of the end the king of the South will engage him in battle, and the king of the North will storm out against him with chariots and cavalry and a great fleet of ships. He will invade many countries and sweep through them like a flood. 41 He will also invade the Beautiful Land. Many countries will fall, but Edom, Moab and the leaders of Ammon will be delivered from his hand. 42 He will extend his power over many countries; Egypt will not escape. 43 He will gain control of the treasures of gold and silver and all the riches of Egypt, with the Libyans and Cushitesin submission. (Daniel 11:39-43, NIV)

Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have both encouraged the Europeans to arm.  It is not likely that either understand the end time prophetic ramifications of that–the end of the USA is coming.

The last video I did was titled: Germany ready for military leadership? If Donald Trump does what he says, or if Europe starts to further question the USA’s commitment to its defense, look for Europeans to be much more willing to accept Germany as a replacement as thei  guarantor. Or at least a major back over it. World events are pushing towards the fulfillment of biblical prophecies such as Revelation 17:12-13 and others.

If Donald Trump gets elected as the next President of the United States, he absolutely will be apocalyptic–and his public statements about Europe and NATO will be factors.

But even if he does not become the next USA President, his rise in the USA and then securing the nomination of the Republic Party has told the Europeans, in general, and the Germans, in particular, that the USA has the potential to turn massively away from them and parts of their agenda. Hillary Clinton also does not have the answers (nor does Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson).

Other than national repentance, the real solution for the USA (and its Anglo-Saxon allies, like Australia) is the Kingdom of God.

Daniel was a well known prophet of God who lived during the reigns of Kings Nebuchadnezzar, Belshazzar, Darius, and Cyrus. Some observe a memorial to the death of the Prophet Daniel on July 21st of each year, while the Greeks tend to pick December 17th.

Here is how the Book of Daniel starts:

1 In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to Jerusalem and besieged it. 2 And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with some of the articles of the house of God, which he carried into the land of Shinar to the house of his god; and he brought the articles into the treasure house of his god.

3 Then the king instructed Ashpenaz, the master of his eunuchs, to bring some of the children of Israel and some of the king’s descendants and some of the nobles, 4 young men in whom there was no blemish, but good-looking, gifted in all wisdom, possessing knowledge and quick to understand, who had ability to serve in the king’s palace, and whom they might teach the language and literature of the Chaldeans. 5 And the king appointed for them a daily provision of the king’s delicacies and of the wine which he drank, and three years of training for them, so that at the end of that time they might serve before the king. 6 Now from among those of the sons of Judah were Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. 7 To them the chief of the eunuchs gave names: he gave Daniel the name Belteshazzar; to Hananiah, Shadrach; to Mishael, Meshach; and to Azariah, Abed-Nego.

8 But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. 9 Now God had brought Daniel into the favor and goodwill of the chief of the eunuchs. 10 And the chief of the eunuchs said to Daniel, “I fear my lord the king, who has appointed your food and drink. For why should he see your faces looking worse than the young men who are your age? Then you would endanger my head before the king.”

11 So Daniel said to the steward whom the chief of the eunuchs had set over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, 12 “Please test your servants for ten days, and let them give us vegetables to eat and water to drink. 13 Then let our appearance be examined before you, and the appearance of the young men who eat the portion of the king’s delicacies; and as you see fit, so deal with your servants.” 14 So he consented with them in this matter, and tested them ten days.

15 And at the end of ten days their features appeared better and fatter in flesh than all the young men who ate the portion of the king’s delicacies. 16 Thus the steward took away their portion of delicacies and the wine that they were to drink, and gave them vegetables.

17 As for these four young men, God gave them knowledge and skill in all literature and wisdom; and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.

18 Now at the end of the days, when the king had said that they should be brought in, the chief of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar. 19 Then the king interviewed them, and among them all none was found like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah; therefore they served before the king. 20 And in all matters of wisdom and understanding about which the king examined them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers who were in all his realm. 21 Thus Daniel continued until the first year of King Cyrus. (Daniel 1:1-20)

Daniel and his companions could have been killed for refusing a diet that likely contained unclean animals. Yet, he and his companions had enough faith to resist.

Later, Daniel is shown to be one who could interpret dreams and who also received some of his own.

Here is one of the interpretations he gave:

36 “This is the dream. Now we will tell the interpretation of it before the king. 37 You, O king, are a king of kings. For the God of heaven has given you a kingdom, power, strength, and glory; 38 and wherever the children of men dwell, or the beasts of the field and the birds of the heaven, He has given them into your hand, and has made you ruler over them all — you are this head of gold. 39 But after you shall arise another kingdom inferior to yours; then another, a third kingdom of bronze, which shall rule over all the earth. 40 And the fourth kingdom shall be as strong as iron, inasmuch as iron breaks in pieces and shatters everything; and like iron that crushes, that kingdom will break in pieces and crush all the others. 41 Whereas you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; yet the strength of the iron shall be in it, just as you saw the iron mixed with ceramic clay. 42 And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile. 43 As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, they will mingle with the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay. 44 And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever. 45 Inasmuch as you saw that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold — the great God has made known to the king what will come to pass after this. The dream is certain, and its interpretation is sure.” (Daniel 2:36-45)

Certain Christian COG groups have misinterpreted part of this dream and believe that the toes in verses 41-43 must refer to ten currently existing 21st century nations. This mistake will mean that when the final beast power forms, if it has more than 10 (PCG) or 11 (in LCG’s case) currently existing nations that those who rely on the misinterpretation will not realize that the Great Tribulation will begin until it is too late (see also Must the Ten Kings of Revelation 17:12 Rule over Ten Currently Existing Nations?).

Daniel recorded and wrote about the famous “handwriting on the wall”:

1 Belshazzar the king made a great feast for a thousand of his lords, and drank wine in the presence of the thousand. 2 While he tasted the wine, Belshazzar gave the command to bring the gold and silver vessels which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken from the temple which had been in Jerusalem, that the king and his lords, his wives, and his concubines might drink from them. 3 Then they brought the gold vessels that had been taken from the temple of the house of God which had been in Jerusalem; and the king and his lords, his wives, and his concubines drank from them. 4 They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold and silver, bronze and iron, wood and stone.

5 In the same hour the fingers of a man’s hand appeared and wrote opposite the lampstand on the plaster of the wall of the king’s palace; and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote. 6 Then the king’s countenance changed, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his hips were loosened and his knees knocked against each other. 7 The king cried aloud to bring in the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers. The king spoke, saying to the wise men of Babylon, “Whoever reads this writing, and tells me its interpretation, shall be clothed with purple and have a chain of gold around his neck; and he shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.” 8 Now all the king’s wise men came, but they could not read the writing, or make known to the king its interpretation. 9 Then King Belshazzar was greatly troubled, his countenance was changed, and his lords were astonished.

10 The queen, because of the words of the king and his lords, came to the banquet hall. The queen spoke, saying, “O king, live forever! Do not let your thoughts trouble you, nor let your countenance change. 11 There is a man in your kingdom in whom is the Spirit of the Holy God. And in the days of your father, light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, were found in him; and King Nebuchadnezzar your father — your father the king — made him chief of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers. 12 Inasmuch as an excellent spirit, knowledge, understanding, interpreting dreams, solving riddles, and explaining enigmas were found in this Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar, now let Daniel be called, and he will give the interpretation.”

13 Then Daniel was brought in before the king. The king spoke, and said to Daniel, “Are you that Daniel who is one of the captives from Judah, whom my father the king brought from Judah? 14 I have heard of you, that the Spirit of God is in you, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom are found in you. 15 Now the wise men, the astrologers, have been brought in before me, that they should read this writing and make known to me its interpretation, but they could not give the interpretation of the thing. 16 And I have heard of you, that you can give interpretations and explain enigmas. Now if you can read the writing and make known to me its interpretation, you shall be clothed with purple and have a chain of gold around your neck, and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.”

17 Then Daniel answered, and said before the king, “Let your gifts be for yourself, and give your rewards to another; yet I will read the writing to the king, and make known to him the interpretation. 18 O king, the Most High God gave Nebuchadnezzar your father a kingdom and majesty, glory and honor. 19 And because of the majesty that He gave him, all peoples, nations, and languages trembled and feared before him. Whomever he wished, he executed; whomever he wished, he kept alive; whomever he wished, he set up; and whomever he wished, he put down. 20 But when his heart was lifted up, and his spirit was hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him. 21 Then he was driven from the sons of men, his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild donkeys. They fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till he knew that the Most High God rules in the kingdom of men, and appoints over it whomever He chooses.

22 “But you his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, although you knew all this. 23 And you have lifted yourself up against the Lord of heaven. They have brought the vessels of His house before you, and you and your lords, your wives and your concubines, have drunk wine from them. And you have praised the gods of silver and gold, bronze and iron, wood and stone, which do not see or hear or know; and the God who holds your breath in His hand and owns all your ways, you have not glorified. 24 Then the fingers of the hand were sent from Him, and this writing was written.

25 “And this is the inscription that was written:
MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.

26 This is the interpretation of each word. Mene: God has numbered your kingdom, and finished it; 27 Tekel: You have been weighed in the balances, and found wanting; 28 Peres: Your kingdom has been divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.” 29 Then Belshazzar gave the command, and they clothed Daniel with purple and put a chain of gold around his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.

30 That very night Belshazzar, king of the Chaldeans, was slain. 31 And Darius the Mede received the kingdom, being about sixty-two years old. (Daniel 5:1-30)

Most in the USA and the Anglo-Saxon descended nations do not see the ‘handwriting on the wall” for their societies. Yet, although most in the COGs do that, they tend to misunderstand other parts of Daniel and do not see the handwriting on the wall that will affect them (see also Can those in the USA/UK see the Handwriting on the Wall?).

Notice what will happen to real Christians in the time of the end, according to Daniel:

23 “Thus he said:

‘The fourth beast shall be
A fourth kingdom on earth,
Which shall be different from all other kingdoms,
And shall devour the whole earth,
Trample it and break it in pieces.
24 The ten horns are ten kings
Who shall arise from this kingdom.
And another shall rise after them;
He shall be different from the first ones,
And shall subdue three kings.
25 He shall speak pompous words against the Most High,
Shall persecute the saints of the Most High,
And shall intend to change times and law.
Then the saints shall be given into his hand
For a time and times and half a time. (Daniel 7:23-25)

Persecution is coming and most in the COGs do not realize how the various persecutions will affect them (see also Persecutions by Church and State).

Here is a section in Daniel that many misunderstand:

26 “And after the sixty-two weeks
Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself;
And the people of the prince who is to come
Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.
The end of it shall be with a flood,
And till the end of the war desolations are determined.
27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;
But in the middle of the week
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,
Even until the consummation, which is determined,
Is poured out on the desolate.” (Daniel 9:26-27)

Those who do understand this properly will have the opportunity to know prior to the start of the Great Tribulation, approximately when it will begin (see also The ‘Peace Deal’ of Daniel 9:27). Those that claim that the “prince to come” in Daniel 9:26 is Jesus and that Jesus is the one that confirms a covenant with many for one week, etc., will not understand as that statement is not a reference to Jesus. The “prince to come” is the final European King of the North. He is the one in Daniel 11:31 who fulfills bringing the end of the sacrifice and offering 3 1/2 years (the middle of a seven year prophetic week). Jesus did not destroy the city nor sanctuary, nor is there a biblical record that He confirmed a seven-year covenant.

Those who hold an opposite view are in error (such as the Philadelphia Church of God, Church of God a Worldwide Association, and the Restored Church of God) and will not understand certain end time events.

Daniel also wrote the following:

27 Both these kings’ hearts shall be bent on evil, and they shall speak lies at the same table; but it shall not prosper, for the end will still be at the appointed time. 28 While returning to his land with great riches, his heart shall be moved against the holy covenant; so he shall do damage and return to his own land.

29 “At the appointed time he shall return and go toward the south; but it shall not be like the former or the latter. 30 For ships from Cyprus shall come against him; therefore he shall be grieved, and return in rage against the holy covenant, and do damage.

“So he shall return and show regard for those who forsake the holy covenant. 31 And forces shall be mustered by him, and they shall defile the sanctuary fortress; then they shall take away the daily sacrifices, and place there the abomination of desolation. 32 Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits. 33 And those of the people who understand shall instruct many; yet for many days they shall fall by sword and flame, by captivity and plundering. 34 Now when they fall, they shall be aided with a little help; but many shall join with them by intrigue. 35 And some of those of understanding shall fall, to refine them, purify them, and make them white, until the time of the end; because it is still for the appointed time.

36 “Then the king shall do according to his own will: he shall exalt and magnify himself above every god, shall speak blasphemies against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the wrath has been accomplished; for what has been determined shall be done. 37 He shall regard neither the God of his fathers nor the desire of women, nor regard any god; for he shall exalt himself above them all. 38 But in their place he shall honor a god of fortresses; and a god which his fathers did not know he shall honor with gold and silver, with precious stones and pleasant things. 39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain.

40 “At the time of the end the king of the South shall attack him; and the king of the North shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter the countries, overwhelm them, and pass through. 41 He shall also enter the Glorious Land, and many countries shall be overthrown; but these shall escape from his hand: Edom, Moab, and the prominent people of Ammon. 42 He shall stretch out his hand against the countries, and the land of Egypt shall not escape. 43 He shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt; also the Libyans and Ethiopians shall follow at his heels. 44 But news from the east and the north shall trouble him; therefore he shall go out with great fury to destroy and annihilate many. 45 And he shall plant the tents of his palace between the seas and the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and no one will help him. (Daniel 11:29-45)

Nearly all COG groups either do not understand this and/or have significant errors in their understanding of parts of this. A verse-by-verse analysis of the above is included in the article Who is the King of the North?. Prophetic misunderstandings that many COG claimed groups have on some of this is documented in the article Is the Future King of the South Rising Up?

Because Jesus referred to Daniel 11 in his Olivet prophecy in Matthew 24:15, those who do not properly understand the sequence and players involved in Daniel 11 will not possibly know when the Great Tribulation will begin until it is too late.

Daniel was told the following:

4 “But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.” (Daniel 12:4)

Truly, with jet aircraft, automobiles, trains, etc., many are going to and fro.

What about knowledge increasing? Notice:

The NSA will soon be able to collect 966 exabytes a year, the total of internet traffic annually. Former Google head Eric Schmidt once arguedthat the entire amount of knowledge from the beginning of humankind until 2003 amount to only five exabytes. (Loewenstein A. Despite more information being available, many will not understand. But in the end, the spiritually wise, the remnant of the Philadelphians, will understand:

8 Although I heard, I did not understand. Then I said, “My lord, what shall be the end of these things?”

9 And he said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. 10 Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand. (Daniel 12:8-10)

Parts of Daniel’s message have been at least partially fulfilled and the fulfillment of other parts will come to pass.

Yet many, including those in nearly all COGs, will NOT understand key aspects of Daniel 2,7,9,11, & 12. There is a list of 36 prophetic misunderstandings that the Laodicean churches have in the article The Laodicean Church Era, and many are related to the Book of Daniel. A group from Serbia has declared that it wants to be part of the Continuing Church of God.

Here is an email from the leader of that group:

My COG background in short: I began reading the Bible back in 1991, when I was staying in England during the turmoil in former Yugoslavia. My cousin was a WCG member. I was baptised on March 10, 1992. I enrolled AC in 1992 (four years term). However, my studies were cut short due to 1995 Great apostasy in WCG. In the beginning of 1995, the apostasy set in and I organized a student underground at Ambassador College. Later, I survived the United Church of God mess and joined David Hulme as I believed he was going to be the one to lead God’s people faithfully. In the course of time it became apparent that he was rather interested in his own career and was planning to change various doctrines. Thus, I was gradually pushed out of Church of God – an International Community in 2005 because I wasn’t going to give up on prophecy, identity of Israel and relations with friends in various COGs. In 2014, some of my friends felt compelled to leave the Church of God – an International Community and called for reconciliation. I renewed my contact with them as I responded to their call for reconciliation. I was offered a contact with a minister in Europe, but I had no plans to join that group. I wanted to see where it was heading to. This year I established cordial relations with you based on the end-time Work you have been doing. In spite of all my earlier disappointing results in cooperation with some COG leaders, I decided to give it again a chance because I realize that I cannot really achieve anything worthwhile on my own, nor do I want to be a „lone wolf“. I never wanted to be a lone wolf in the first place. It has always been my desire to participate in the Work of God in a full unison with others who are dedicated to that immense task. Since we as a group have concluded that we need to trust God in faith as we move forward in His Work and maintain ties with you, the things have now changed because we don‘t feel we are on our own any more.

So far I didn’t feel I could really trust any COG leadership to the point of cooperating with them and joining their groups. And sadly, mostly to their shame I would say, my translation talent was not used and the Work in Serbia, however small, could not pick up the pace due to their lack of interest. Yet, I never gave up on the main mission of the Church (Matthew 24:14) and have been doing what I can in order to see it fulfilled in my native tongue. Since you have entrusted me to do what I can do well (translation/editing), my experience with you is different. It is especially refreshing to see your commitment to virtually reach all the nations! Thus, I fasted and prayed and felt moved to ask for your advice given our situation in Serbia.

There has never been a Church of God in Serbia as most people are used to. I myself was called to repentance during my stay in England in 1991. From England I was sent to AC as I was deemed dedicated to God and a good asset to the Work. There was not a single member of COG in Serbia. Following my departure from AC (due to doctrinal changes in 1995) and a my one-year stay in Latin America, I returned to Serbia in July 1996. I found economically ruined country and faced all sorts of persecutions, but I had a firm resolve to fulfill Matthew 24:14 in my native tongue. I always tended to think that God allowed me to go to AC for that purpose – to understand the Bible better and keep spreading true biblical teachings in my native tongue. I faced much adversities, including unemployment because of the Sabbath and because I belong to no political party. At the time when I returned, I was part of UCG. In May 1997, I left UCG and joined David Hulme. Meanwhile, I translated several HWA booklets to Serbian in order to use them to spread the Word. My efforts were not met with any enthusiasm. As the result of my efforts some people were called and some were later baptized by ministers in COG-aic who visited Serbia upon my insistence. I was asked to assist in baptism ceremonies and I immersed various baptism candidates. After being pushed out in 2005, I wondered for a while in confusion and despair. I was on a spiritual downhill. It took me some time to get around various issues. In 2007, I decided to continue what I was doing. In the meantime, Facebook emerged, so I used that platform to spread the word as well. I didn’t make any attempt to join any COG. I kept away from them as I didn’t want to (again) fall prey and victim to their misuse of the Scripture and pastoral authorities.

Meanwhile, the CCOG constituted and emerged as the Philadelphian remnant among the Churches of God. Since we have established contact things have changed.

About 4 years ago, I composed a book on baptism by compiling several materials from HWA time and some of my notes from lectures I listened to several years ago. I sent that book to those who were getting familiar with the Word of God and expressed interest in baptism. As a result, I baptised one lad last year upon his request, according to the traditional COG ceremony. At that time I had no contact with you.

Even though I have figured as a substitute for pastoral care in Serbia and performed various duties to the best of my abilities and reliance on God in prayer and fasting, I have never been ordained. True, I attended AC, the institution established with the purpose to educate future ministers and pillars in the local congregations, so I used that education and privillege to the best of my ability to serve God, the Gospel and those called in Serbia. There has never been a minister nor members in Serbia. As a group we started from the scratch and continued to this point. Now the things have become more clear in COG confusion, so we tied ourselves to the CCOG and its dedication to Matthew 24:14.

In a summary, I just want to say that, considering the fruits of your ministry and the teachings that you have been promoting as based on sound biblical doctrines, we as a group have decided to tie in with you and participate in this most important Work on the earth.  And in spite of my various bad experiences, I will gladly give my trust (once again) to God that He would lead us in this Work.

Yesterday, I was finally able to Skype with the host/leader of that group.  His name is Aleksandar ‘Sasha’ Veljic.

We discussed doing aspects of the work, including the ‘Short Work’,  and getting more materials published in the Serbian language.

We also discussed the Feast of Tabernacles for Serbia this year, though that was not finalized.

Serbia, itself, is in the middle of the Balkan peninsula.  This groups has about ten people who have said they would like to be part of the Continuing Church of God.

As far as the USA’s next president goes, both the Democratic Party presumptive nominee Hillary Clinton and the official Republican Party nominee for the USA’s presidency, Donald Trump, have stated that they would negotiate trade deals with the UK.

It is not just the USA and Asia that the UK is looking at.  It is also looking at a post-Brexit free trade agreement with Australia (see Australia keen on making a post-Brexit free trade deal, but there still is an Asian threat).

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau probably does not fully understand how the USA and Canada actually are siblings–not because of a shared border–but because their ancestors were brothers. But his observation is consistent with scripture.

The Bible tells of two siblings, the brothers Ephraim and Manasseh, who were the sons of Joseph.  And they received blessings from Joseph’s father Jacob, whose name was changed by God to Israel (Genesis 48:13-16). Canada is part of the same sibling relationship with the USA that the UK is.

A post-Brexit United Kingdom will likely try to make deals with not only the USA and Asia, but many of its one-time colonies.

However, ultimately that will NOT save the UK (nor the USA, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand for that matter (cf. Daniel 11:39; Jeremiah 30:7).

Australia is better equipped to curry favour with Donald Trump and his advisers as a result of Tony Abbott’s decision to rapidly increase the nation’s military budget, Joe Hockey says.

Mr Trump, who was today confirmed as Republican Party’s presidential nominee, has flagged withdrawing American forces from the Asia-Pacific including possibly 25,000 troops from South Korea, the Fifth Fleet from Japan and marines from Okinawa.

Australia has realized that it cannot defend itself against possibly Asian threats.  The reality is that the USA will ultimately not save it–even if Donald Trump is elected and is pleased that Australia has increased its military spending and has been supportive of the USA militarily.

While this may suggest a unified Republican party, that is still not the case.  Many Republicans and Republican leaders cannot stand Donald Trump.  But he is their party’s nominee.

Donald Trump, having clinched the Republican Party’s nomination for the Nov. 8 presidential election, threatens U.S. and world security with his “politics of fear and isolation,” German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said on Wednesday.

Steinmeier told Reuters in a written interview that he was concerned about what he called Trump’s ambiguous vows to “make America strong again,” while simultaneously reducing its engagement overseas.

“That is contradictory and it makes me concerned,” Steinmeier said as he headed to Washington for meetings with other foreign and defense ministers to assess the U.S.-led effort to defeat the Islamic State extremist group.

Germany has already started to take steps. Within the last week, the German cabinet approved a plan to increase German military spending and the number of people in its military (watch Germany ready for military leadership?).

Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier is not the only German who has publicly expressed concerns about Donald Trump.

BERLIN German Vice Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel has criticized leading Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump as a right-wing populist whose political views pose a threat to peace and prosperity.

The comments by Gabriel, economy minister and leader of the Social Democrats, are the clearest sign yet that ruling politicians in Europe are increasingly worried about the outcome of the U.S. presidential elections.

“Whether Donald Trump, Marine le Pen or Geert Wilders – all these right-wing populists are not only a threat to peace and social cohesion, but also to economic development,” Gabriel told Welt am Sonntag newspaper in an interview published on Sunday.

Gabriel said that Trump and France’s Le Pen were promising voters “a way back into a fairytale world” in which economic activity only happened within national borders but that history has shown such isolated economies have no chance to develop.

Consider that the German Vice Chancellor does not like Donald Trump’s positions on trade and that he wants “globalisation in a fair way,” in other words, he wants Germany to be able to negotiate trade agreements like Germany wants, not what someone focused on the interests of the USA wants.

If he gets elected as the next President of the United States, he absolutely will be. But even if he does not, his mere rise in the USA and then securing the nomination of the Republic Party has told the Europeans, in general, and the Germans, in particular, that the USA has the potential to turn massively away from them and parts of their agenda.

This will NOT bode well for the USA according to biblical prophecy (cf. Daniel 11:39).

Other than national repentance, the real solution for the USA (and its Anglo-Saxon allies, like Australia) is the Kingdom of God.

Can the United Nations bring peace? US President Barack Obama seemingly thinks some version of it can do so:

Obama called for “a new sustainable development set of goals to end extreme poverty and promote health and education and equality for all people, including women.”

That was a direct reference to the U.N.’s new “2030 Agenda,” in which the new sustainable development goals or SDGs are being promoted as the answer to all of mankind’s problems — including the eradication of poverty and saving the planet from climate change.

The 2030 Agenda, which is the U.N.’s updated version of Agenda 21, also includes for the first time the rights of migrants to move across open borders for economic opportunity.

“Obama simply reflects his globalist handlers when he suggests that the solution to the world’s problems will be found in everyone’s submission to a single globalist power,” writes Patrick Wood for Technocracy News and Trends.

Obama told the ambassadors gathered at the reception that the world needs to “build strong institutions to protect people from those impulses” of national or cultural pride. This seemed to be a reference to supporters of Donald Trump in the U.S. and other nationalist-oriented parties gaining popularity in Europe. These parties are now calling for their countries to follow Britain’s recent example and exit the European Union.

That’s a path that will not succeed in America or anywhere else, Obama said.

“In other words, all Americans should stop being so selfish and self-centered and surrender themselves to the global ‘common good,’” Wood wrote.

Obama added that “hatred and violence of a few ultimately is no match for the love and decency and hard work of people of goodwill and compassion.”

He said the world needed to work with “our Muslim partners” to “push back against hateful ideologies that twist and distort Islam – a religion that teaches peace and justice and compassion.”

Before getting to some of the negatives associated with the United Nations’ plan, which is also its ‘New Universal Agenda’, let’s consider if there is any way that international cooperation can bring peace to the Muslim world and reduce terrorism.

Is that at all possible?

Yes.

Will a version of this be successful for a time?

Yes.

Why do I say that?

Because that is what the Bible teaches.

The Bible teaches that a temporary multinational deal (the ‘with many’ below) will happen in the Middle East:

27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;
But in the middle of the week
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,
Even until the consummation, which is determined,
Is poured out on the desolate (Daniel 9:26-27).

The above is referring to a deal or covenant that has a time element attached to it–it will be confirmed for one prophetic week–seven years. As Daniel 9:27 shows, a temporary peace deal will happen, with international involvement.

The idea of this being related to a seven-year end-time period was also understood by the Catholic theologian Hippolytus (died 235) in the third century:

…the iron and the clay shall be mingled together. Now Daniel will set forth this subject to us. For he says, “And one week will make a covenant with many, and it shall be that in the midst (half) of the week my sacrifice and oblation shall cease.” By one week, therefore, he meant the last week which is to be at the end of the whole world of which week the two prophets… will take up the half. For they will preach 1,260 days clothed in sackcloth, proclaiming repentance to the people and to all the nations…(Hippolytus. On Christ and Antichrist, Chapter 43. Online edition Copyright © 2008 by Kevin Knight).

As these things, therefore, of which we have spoken before are in the future, beloved, when the one week is divided into parts, and the abomination of desolation has arisen then, and the forerunners of the Lord have finished their proper course, and the whole world, in fine, comes to the consummation, what remains but the manifestation of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, the Son of God, from heaven, for whom we have hoped; who shall bring forth fire and all just judgment against those who have refused to believe in Him? For the Lord says, “For as the lightning comes out of the east, and shines even unto the west, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be; for wheresoever the carcass is, there will the eagles be gathered together.” (Hippolytus. So, the idea of this deal somehow having a seven-year component, that is broken in the middle, with Jesus coming afterwards is not simply a recent one.

Why is this believed to be a type of ‘peace deal’?

There are several reasons, but notice some other scriptures that discuss this leader:

25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand. (Daniel 8:25, KJV).

23 And after the league is made with him he shall act deceitfully, for he shall come up and become strong with a small number of people. 24 He shall enter peaceably, even into the richest places of the province; and he shall do what his fathers have not done, nor his forefathers: he shall disperse among them the plunder, spoil, and riches; and he shall devise his plans against the strongholds, but only for a time. (Daniel 11:23-24, NKJV)

So this leader gives people the impression that there will be “peace” and is involved in some type of deal. This is the same leader that confirms the covenant in Daniel 9:27. The term is translated as “peace” in Daniel 8:25 is from the Hebrew term shalvah and essentially means security. In other words, this leader will destroy “many” who are under the impression that they are secure because of some type of security and/or trade arrangement. Such arrangements are now commonly referred to as peace deals or treaties.

Since the prophesied deal has not been confirmed, at least not publicly, the Great Tribulation would seem to be at least 3 1/2 years away (you may also wish to watch a YouTube video titled Can the Great Tribulation Start in 2016?).

But notice that Daniel 9:27 also says that the deal will be broken in the middle of the confirmation–meaning that war will happen about 3 1/2 years after the deal is confirmed according to the criteria listed in Daniel 9:27.

So, many will think that international cooperation, global governance, and similar approaches will bring peace–but it will not last.

Barack Obama has supported the idea of the Muslim nations getting together, with encouragement from the West, to deal with terrorism and other ‘radical’ elements of Islam. The Bible shows that such a confederation of nations in North Africa and the Middle East will  happen, but it will not end up well for the participants (cf. Daniel 11:40-43; Ezekiel 30:1-8).

But what about this United Nations’ “2030 Agenda”?

It is a human-orchestrated plan promising to bring peace, justice, and prosperity.

The Bible warns about many peoples being associated with the end time ‘daughter of Babylon,’ also known as Mystery Babylon the Great:

6 “Up, up! Flee from the land of the north,” says the Lord; “for I have spread you abroad like the four winds of heaven,” says the Lord. 7 “Up, Zion! Escape, you who dwell with the daughter of Babylon. (Zechariah 2:6-7)

33 For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel:

“The daughter of Babylon is like a threshing floor
When it is time to thresh her;
Yet a little while
And the time of her harvest will come.” (Jeremiah 51:33)

3… And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. 4 The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication. 5 And on her forehead a name was written:

MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

6 I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I marveled with great amazement.

7 But the angel said to me, “Why did you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns. 8 The beast that you saw was, and is not, and will ascend out of the bottomless pit and go to perdition. And those who dwell on the earth will marvel, whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, when they see the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

9 “Here is the mind which has wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits. 10 There are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet come. And when he comes, he must continue a short time. 11 The beast that was, and is not, is himself also the eighth, and is of the seven, and is going to perdition.

12 “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. 14 These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.”

15 Then he said to me, “The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues. 16 And the ten horns which you saw on the beast, these will hate the harlot, make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire. 17 For God has put it into their hearts to fulfill His purpose, to be of one mind, and to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled. 18 And the woman whom you saw is that great city which reigns over the kings of the earth.”

18:1 After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was illuminated with his glory. 2 And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, “Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird! 3 For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury.”

4 And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. 5 For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities. 6 Render to her just as she rendered to you, and repay her double according to her works; in the cup which she has mixed, mix double for her. 7 In the measure that she glorified herself and lived luxuriously, in the same measure give her torment and sorrow; for she says in her heart, ‘I sit as queen, and am no widow, and will not see sorrow.’ 8 Therefore her plagues will come in one day — death and mourning and famine. And she will be utterly burned with fire, for strong is the Lord God who judges her. (Revelation 17:3-18; 18:1-8)

Many world leaders, including Barack Obama, and even Pope Francis, believe that it will be international human cooperation that will bring peace and prosperity, the type of unity that they, the United Nations, and others are working towards will end in destruction (cf. Matthew 24:21-22)

Although the Bible shows that ultimately it will fail, the Bible also shows that it will look good to many, even though it is NOT good (Revelation 13, 14, 17, & 18).

This human-orchestrated ‘new world order’ is something that the Continuing Church of God has denounced since its inception and plans to continue to denounce.

Regarding those of the world, the Bible teaches “the way of peace they have not known” (Isaiah 59:8; Romans 3:17).

Instead of lasting peace, the United Nations, Barack Obama, and others are setting the world (including the USA) up for ‘sudden destruction’ (1 Thessalonians 5:3). However, we do expect to see some peace, for a time, in the Islamic world, and many will likely point to that as confirmation of their belief that international cooperation will solve the problems of the world.

But that is a false hope, a false gospel.

The only real solution to the problems facing this world will be brought in by the return of Jesus and the establishment of the Kingdom of God.

Are leaders in Europe taking steps consistent with the rise of ‘666’? Notice the following:

An advocate general for the EU’s Court of Justice released a legal opinion Tuesday outlining when telecommunications companies should be able to hand over individual’s data to security agencies.

Henrik Saugmandsgaard Oe wrote that in general, a data retention obligation “may be compatible with EU law” as long as it meets certain criteria, the court said in a summary statement.

The EU had mandated the retention of private phone and internet data – such as the location, time and frequency of communications between individuals – as part of anti-terrorism measures adopted in 2006 after bombing attacks on subways in Madrid and London.

But the European Court of Justice struck down the law in 2014, finding that it breached citizens’ fundamental rights. …

“The general obligation to retain data must be strictly necessary to the fight against serious crime,” the court wrote in a summary of Oe’s legal opinion. …

Digital privacy and the practice of data retention and mass surveillance is a highly important issue due to the ubiquitous presence of digital communications in daily life. So, what was a ‘fundamental right’ to privacy is being swept aside.  The allowance of mass surveillance is becoming more and more common in the West.

Why be concerned about mass surveillance?

Because it shows that the nations of the world are getting closer to a time when certain biblical prophecies will be fulfilled:

15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666. (Revelation 13:15-18, NKJV)

23 ‘And in the latter end of their kingdom, about the perfecting of the transgressors, stand up doth a king, fierce of face, and understanding hidden things; (Daniel 8:23, Young’s Literal Translation)

European governments are more and more also looking into going ‘cashless’ (see M&M & CNN: European and other governments pushing towards cashless society where 666 can operate), which means that almost all payments would be traceable electronically. And it looks like telephones will also be used to make more and more financial transactions.

Notice the following from the Bible:

1 Hear my voice, O God, in my meditation;
Preserve my life from fear of the enemy.
2 Hide me from the secret plots of the wicked,
From the rebellion of the workers of iniquity,
3 Who sharpen their tongue like a sword,
And bend their bows to shoot their arrows — bitter words,
4 That they may shoot in secret at the blameless;
Suddenly they shoot at him and do not fear.

5 They encourage themselves in an evil matter;
They talk of laying snares secretly;
They say, “Who will see them?”
6 They devise iniquities:
“We have perfected a shrewd scheme.”
Both the inward thought and the heart of man are deep. (Psalms 64:1-6)

And while you might think that if you have done nothing wrong, you have nothing to fear from surveillance, consider that many in the government of the West consider that not supporting homosexual marriages, etc. are extremist. I also saw someone once on a documentary that stated that people who believed in the millennium could not be trusted and should be considered as potential terrorists.  The fact that we in the Continuing Church of God would be considered pacifists, does not change the fact that since we hold to millennial and other biblical views that we will not be improperly classified by government employees with various agendas.

Having biblical views are becoming more problematic in the USA and in parts of Europe.

Notice also the following prophecy:

13 Therefore the prudent keep silent at that time, For it is an evil time.  (Amos 5:13)

The above indicates that even those that are doing nothing wrong will need to be silent at the coming evil time.

Consider that it takes computers to aid in the fulfillment of the scriptures in Revelation 13:15-18, as well as cyber-spying/monitoring. I do believe that cyber monitoring will be used by the European Beast, King of the North, 666 power.

This type of surveillance could not have happened during the time of the Apostle John as there was no real way to monitor many communications or financial transactions then (despite the fact that ‘preterists’ believe this was fulfilled almost 2000 years ago, see also The Dangerous Rise of Preterists). The same was true for all the centuries that followed until the late 20th and now the 21st century. But now not only does the technology exist to monitor most financial transactions, the political will is there as well.

We are seeing it in more nations, which will make it more ‘acceptable’ when the final European Beast, King of the North, 666 power implements it.

We are getting closer to the time of 666. The legal opinion of an advocate general for the EU’s Court of Justice is another event that points to that direction.

A while back, a reader sent me the following item:

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) — Though surveys show that four in five Americans believe in the healing power of prayer and a majority of medical doctors say miraculous healing sometimes occurs, few researchers have subjected such claims to scientific investigation. Enter Candy Gunther Brown, who used data derived from eight years of studying the prayer healing practices of Pentecostal Christians to write “Testing Prayer: Science and Healing,” recently published by Harvard University Press.

Brown worked in Mozambique with medical researchers, who used portable machines and vision charts to examine — before and after — the hearing and vision of subjects who claimed to have been healed through prayer.

“We found statistically significant improvement in both hearing and vision, much greater than would be expected from random recovery or placebo effects,” she said…

“Generally, you would not expect to see the level of improvement we found,” she said. “The data did not tell us what mechanism caused the change — only that there were changes.”

Brown also conducted long-term follow-up interviews — for several years — of people who claimed healing through prayer.

“Some of them had written narratives of their healing and medical records over several years,” she said. “Some continued to believe they’d been healed, and others said their physical ailment had returned.”

There have been a variety of studies which have basically correlated prayer with better recovery. And the above is one of the newer ones.

The Bible teaches:

14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. (James 5:14-16)

Prayer avails, and much, if it is from one who is fervent, effectual, and righteous.

A black professor who teaches at Michigan has publicly called for the segregation of five states, saying the separation of blacks from whites and other races in select spots would be “fairly easy” to accomplish. …

“Check members carefully,” Davenport said, “know that the state is monitoring you and prepare for the worst. The minute you go aggressive and militaristic, you cannot wind the clock back. Nation-building is incredibly hard to do and it involves diverse tasks.”

The People’s New Black Panther Party is reportedly among the groups pushing for a “government in a nation within a nation.”

Babu Omowale, the group’s so-called defense minister, said the “end game is land ownership” while describing efforts to “claim” the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Alabama, and Georgia for the new black nation, reported Breitbart.

“We just need to start migrating back to those states and taking control of the economics in those states,” Omowale told reporter Aaron Klein. “If black people move in, most definitely white people will move out. In the wake of the police shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, and the subsequent (apparent) retaliation against police officers in Dallas and now Baton Rouge, some radical black nationalists — the New Black Panther Party, in particular — have called for a “black country” in the southern portion of the United States.

University of Michigan Political Science Professor Christian Davenport says such an idea “is fairly easy” to turn into reality.

“I think that it is fairly easily for African-Americans to form a Black nation within the United States,” he tells Atlanta Black Star.  “There are large sections of the United States that have nothing but Black people in them already.”

“There are cults and militias as well as private corporations that do whatever they want behind their closed doors.” http://www.thecollegefix.com/post/28167/

The solution to the problems facing the USA are not to be found in the establishment of a ‘blacks-only’ (or ‘whites-only’ for that matter) nation.

The USA needs national repentance and to turn to biblical morality. But the USA does not want to do that.

Sadly, many politicians and leaders have ‘played the race card’ in ways to fan racial tensions. Many promise freedom that they cannot provide. Consider also something that the Apostle Peter wrote:

19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage. (2 Peter 2:19)

None of the ‘race/ethnic’ organizations I am aware of (black, white, or Hispanic) focus on having their own people repent and truly turn to the God of the Bible. They basically proclaim false liberty.

As far as race goes, notice the following from the Statement of Beliefs of the Continuing Church of God:

LOVE AND SALVATION FOR ALL RACES AND PEOPLES

Racial hatred is wrong. While there can be racial differences, the Bible does not teach that one race is superior in His eyes to any other. The Bible commands all humankind to love their neighbors as themselves (Leviticus 19:18; Matthew 22:39; Acts 17:24-29). Jesus came to bring joy to all peoples (Luke 2:10). The Bible shows that salvation is now freely offered to both Jews and Gentiles (Acts 10:34-35; Romans 10:12-13; cf. Joel 2:32) and that God intends to save people “of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues” (Revelation 7:9). Christian love should be shown to people of all ethnicities (Romans 13:10; Luke 10:30-37). “Our God is the God of salvation” (Psalm 68:20) “And all flesh shall see the salvation of God” (Luke 3:6).

God has a plan so that all can be saved, irrespective of race. God is NOT a respecter of persons (Acts 10:34, KJV).

How are we saved?

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:8-10)

God’s Word shows that God loves everyone (John 3:16-17). God also commands all mankind to love their neighbors as themselves (Leviticus 19:18; Matthew 22:39; Acts 17:24-29). Jesus came to bring joy to all peoples (Luke 2:10)–this is not limited to one race or group. God’s Word shows that salvation is now freely offered to both Jews and Gentiles (Acts 10:34-35; Romans 10:12-13; cf. Joel 2:32) and that God intends to save people “of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues” (Revelation 7:9).

Not only can all be saved at some point, prior to the age to come, God will save some people of all races.

For years on this page, I have warned that civil unrest and riots would come to the USA.  If enough people heed the call from the New Black Panther party and/or the equivalents in white and/or Hispanic groups, we could see this sooner than later.

The solution to the problems of the USA is not more segregation, but (since national repentance seems almost impossible at this stage), the Kingdom of God.

Trying to further divide the nation along color lines is not going to bring peace and prosperity.

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana – At about 8:40 a.m. on Sunday morning, some Baton Rouge police officers inside a convenience store less than a mile from police headquarters noticed a man standing behind a beauty salon wearing a mask, body armor, and dressed in all black carrying a rifle.
Col. Mike Edmonson with the Louisiana State Police told a press conference that Long “certainly was seeking out police,” adding: “His movements, his direction, his attention was on police officers.”

The attack was, according to Edmonson, an “ambush.” …

In a video posted 10 days before the shooting, Long said he was “affiliated with the spirit of justice.”

“Don’t affiliate me with nothing,” Long said. “Yeah, I was also a Nation of Islam member, I’m not affiliated with it. … They’ll try to put you with ISIS or some other terrorist group — no.”

Long declared himself a “sovereign citizen,” part of a group that believes government and law enforcement does not hold any authority.

In a FBI law enforcement bulletin in 2011, the agency called sovereign citizens “a growing domestic threat to law enforcement” and said “the FBI considers sovereign-citizen extremists as comprising a domestic terrorist movement.” http://www.cbsnews.com/news/baton-rouge-gavin-long-ambush-police-officers/

As the USA moves further away from biblically-related morality and justice, increased violence is expected. This ambush was not about justice but about despair and hate.

Gunmen who killed three policemen and a member of the public in Kazakhstan on Monday may have been Islamist militants, the president has said.

Nursultan Nazarbayev called the shootings in the commercial capital Almaty a terrorist act and the terror threat level has been raised.

The interior ministry said one 27-year-old suspect had been detained but an accomplice was still at large.

Kazakhstan was called “Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic” in the old former Soviet Republic and is a member of the Eurasian Union.

Violence, itself, often begets violence. Humans are not supposed to take revenge:

19 Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. 20 Therefore

“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
If he is thirsty, give him a drink;
For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.”

21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. (Romans 12:19-21)

The Bible also teaches:

9 ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Enough, O princes of Israel! Remove violence and plundering, execute justice and righteousness (Ezekiel 45:9)

9…You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. (Romans 13:9-10)

The Bible further shows that God is against violence and that destruction will come because of it:

23 ‘Make a chain,
For the land is filled with crimes of blood,
And the city is full of violence.
24 Therefore I will bring the worst of the Gentiles,
And they will possess their houses;
I will cause the pomp of the strong to cease,
And their holy places shall be defiled. (Ezekiel 7:23-24)

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality…30…violent, proud, boasters,…31…unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them. (Romans 1:28-32)

8…And the violence of the land and the city, And of all who dwell in it. ( Habakkuk 2:8)

Notice the violence is prophesied to result in the worst of the Gentiles to come and take possession of houses–this will happen to the USA during the Great Tribulation (see also When Will the Great Tribulation Begin?).

There will be more violence in the USA.

Even now, it can be said of various cities in the USA, “the city is full of violence.”
