Egyptian Sheikh: Israel war will usher in Gog and Magog between Russian and US; Jesus will win the war for Islam

The Former Grand Mufti of Egypt Sheikh Dr. Ali Gomaa posted a video on his YouTube channel on November 11, 2023, in which he described what he believed would happen in the Middle East in the near future. The original video was translated by The Middle East Media Research Institute.

“We do not know what will happen after the destruction of the Zionist entity the Jews Israel and the Zionist entity are not worth a mosquito’s wing, in the eyes of Allah and the Muslim people,” Sheikh Gomaa began. “Let us imagine a political scenario in which Israel is destroyed. What will happen?”

“America will immediately move in,” the sheikh continued. “Don’t think that once we throw Israel into the sea it will be the end of this story. America will immediately move in. The Hadith says you will fight the Byzantines. Those Americans are the Byzantines of our days.”

“If Israel is finished and America moves in, what will happen?” Sheikh Gomaa said. “Russia will immediately move in.  Who are these Russians? They are Gog and Magog, well-known tribes in Armenia. It is all known in the books.”

The pre-messiah War of Gog and Magog is well-known in Jewish eschatology, being described in the Book of Ezekiel chapter 38. The New Testament Book of Revelation refers to it in 20:8. Jewish eschatology viewed Gog and Magog as enemies to be defeated by the Messiah, which would usher in the age of the Messiah. One view within Christianity is more starkly apocalyptic, making Gog and Magog, here indicating nations rather than individuals, allies of Satan against God at the end of the millennium

Two chapters of the Quran discuss Gog and Magog. In the Quran Yajuj and Majuj (Gog and Magog) are two hostile, corrupt forces that will ravage the earth before the end of the world when they are suppressed by Dhu al-Qarnayn “The Two-Horned One”.

Sheikh Gomaa continued, describing the bloody role Muslims believe Jesus will play in resolving the conflict.

“Imagine that the Americans and the Russians moved in,” he said. “What would you do? You would fight them because this is your land your country.”

“Therefore, this matter requires direct divine intervention,” Sheikh Gomaa continued. “The Prophet Mohammad told us that such intervention will come to be and that Jesus, son of Mary will descend he will kill Gog and Magog and the Muslims will vanquish the Byzantines. Various Jews and Protestants (see Hamas-Israeli war, plus Greg Laurie connects to Gog and Magog and Hal Lindsey: Planet Earth Is Armed To The Teeth… And The Word Of The Day Is ‘Escalation’ ‘Ezekiel 38’?) have pointed to this or other factors as possible triggers of the Gog and Magog prophecies of Ezekiel 38 in this age–however, no, according to the Bible they are completely wrong.

Scripture shows that Ezekiel 38 is not about to be fulfilled.

Ezekiel 38 is for over a thousand years away.

Let us look at what the Bible actually teaches.

This Gog Magog war is in Ezekiel 38, so let’s start with its first 7 verses:

1 Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 2 “Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him, 3 and say, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal. 4 I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws, and lead you out, with all your army, horses, and horsemen, all splendidly clothed, a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords. 5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya are with them, all of them with shield and helmet; 6 Gomer and all its troops; the house of Togarmah from the far north and all its troops — many people are with you.

7 “Prepare yourself and be ready, you and all your companies that are gathered about you; and be a guard for them.

Verses 1-7 talk about a group getting ready to battle. Various nations such as Russia, Iran, Asians, and others are included here. Verse 5, mentioning Persia, is a reference to the land of Iran.

What does the Bible actually teach about the timing? Notice the next two verses from Ezekiel 38:

8 After many days you will be visited. In the latter years you will come into the land of those brought back from the sword and gathered from many people on the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate; they were brought out of the nations, and now all of them dwell safely. 9 You will ascend, coming like a storm, covering the land like a cloud, you and all your troops and many peoples with you.”

Verses 8-9 refer to a regathering of Israel. Why do certain prophecy watchers say that it is for now?

In addition to misapplications of scripture by some rabbinical writers, some Protestants believe that the creation of the nation of Israel in 1948 fulfills verse 8. Yet, this is not really the fulfillment for several reasons (watch also the video Israel, 1948, and Prophecy).

One reason is that even today most Jews do not live in the nation of Israel. The Jewish diaspora is scattered throughout the world. But the other reason is that many do not realize that there are multiple millions of the descendants of Israel that are not of the tribe of Judah. The Bible shows that Israel split into the kingdoms of Judah and Israel after the reign of Solomon and that later the ten tribes that were part of Israel (cf. 1 Kings 11:31,35; 12:16-17; 12:20-23) were carried into captivity (2 Kings 17:21-23). Those tribes represent hundreds of millions of people currently alive, and as there are about 7,000,000 Jews in Israel, most simply have not been regathered (more information on the tribes of Israel is in the article Anglo – America in Prophecy & the Lost Tribes of Israel).

Furthermore, pay close attention to the part of verse 8 about people dwelling safely. That is NOT the case in Israel today.

Additionally, notice verses 10-13:

10 ‘Thus says the Lord God: “On that day it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will make an evil plan: 11 You will say, ‘I will go up against a land of unwalled villages; I will go to a peaceful people, who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates’ — 12 to take plunder and to take booty, to stretch out your hand against the waste places that are again inhabited, and against a people gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and goods, who dwell in the midst of the land. 13 Sheba, Dedan, the merchants of Tarshish, and all their young lions will say to you, ‘Have you come to take plunder? Have you gathered your army to take booty, to carry away silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods, to take great plunder?’”‘

Israel has its walls and “iron dome” and military weaponry. Notice that it is against a ‘peaceful people’ in unarmed villages that the prince of Rosh is going against. This cannot happen until AFTER the return of Jesus. Furthermore, there simply is not a plan to take a lot of gold and silver out of Israel right now by the power of the far north, nor does the current nation of Israel have enough of it to likely justify an attack for that purpose (unless perhaps some hidden gold/silver mines or remaining treasure of David).

According to Index Mundi, the nation of Israel was not among the top 48 producers of silver in the world, so its supply of this would also seem to be limited–it also confirmed that Israel does not have gold reserves (though there is some gold and silver in coins, etc. in Israel). Israel in the early 21st century is NOT the target of Ezekiel 38.

Some Protestant prophecy watchers believe that Iran will soon more closely align with Russia to invade Israel in order to fulfill Ezekiel 38. However, since that prophecy is not fulfilled in this age (it is for the ‘latter days,’ which comes well after Jesus returns), that is not the case. Some others have also claimed that the ‘Bible Code’ tells of it for this age. That is also not the case. Now, what about Islamic prophecies?

Well, yes, there are some parallels between them and biblical ones.

However, as far as Islamic interpretations of prophecy go, many Muslims would not agree with certain statements from Sheikh Dr. Ali Gomaa.

The area of Byzantium is now controlled by Turkey, and hence prophecies related to it would not be directly related to Americans. Islamic scholars tend to point to either the Turks or those from the Roman empire fighting relating to that.

Related to Jesus, notice the following from the New Encyclopedia of Islam:

The last days, as described in Islam, are marked by the figures of Gog and Magog (Juj wa Jajuj), the Mahdi, the Antichrist (Dajjal), and Jesus … Gog and Magog, representing the forces of chaos, have been kept at bay … At the end of time, chaos will break through the wall of Divinely imposed order, and the world will succumb to “outer darkness”. At the same time, it is believed, there will be a countercurrent, or a brief return to the state of spiritual lucidity and primordial integrity that obtained at the dawn of time. This is the reign of the Mahdi, the “rightly guided one”…

The reign of the Mahdi will be followed by that of the Antichrist … once the Antichrist has led away his followers, Jesus will then come to destroy the Antichrist in the closing moments of the cosmic drama.

The return of Jesus is not to happen, according to Islam, until AFTER the Imam Mahdi has reigned for 7 years. The Imam Mahdi sounds a bit like the King of the South of biblical prophecy, but the Bible suggests a shorter reign for him than that. As far as Jesus goes, Muslims DO teach He was the prophesied Messiah (see our free online book: Proof Jesus is the Messiah), but that Mohammad is superior to Him.

That said, the Imam Mahdi/King of the South is NOT currently reigning, so even according to Islamic prophecy, Ezekiel 38 is not about to be fulfilled.

Furthermore, according to Islam, Yajuj and Majuj which many Muslims tie in with Gog and Magog, are to be released just before judgment day (Yaseen M. The Signs of the Judgment Day (Qiyamah). 2021, p. 223).

According to the Bible, Gog and Magog cause havoc AFTER the millennium and what would be considered as that judgment day:

7 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. 9 They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them. 10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.  (Revelation 20:7-13)

So, no, even according to Islamic prophecy, Ezekiel 38 is not about to be fulfilled.

Believe the Bible over headlines and improper interpretations from men.

Luke wrote the following:

8 Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. 10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”

13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:

14 “Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”

15 So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.” 16 And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. 17 Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. 18 And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds. (Luke 2:8-18)

An independent Sabbatarian writer named Joe Kovacs was interviewed about this (see ‘Phenomenal prophecy for future hidden in Jesus’ first appearance’ Joe Kovacs’ statements about the shepherds aligns with God’s plan of salvation).

He also has the following statements in his 2022 book Reaching God Speed:

Perhaps the most famous story in the Bible is the birth of Jesus, God in the flesh who was born in Bethlehem, laid in a manger, had visits from shepherds who announced the good news, (p. 151)

Jesus, whose name in Hebrew is Yeshua, meaning “God saves” or “God will save,” was born in Bethlehem (p. 152 )

It’s time to look at the shepherds in the story, who were given a glimpse into the unseen kingdom of God when an angel appeared to them and told them not to be afraid. “I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people:

‘Today in the city of David a Savior was born for you, who is the Messiah, the Lord’” (Luke 2:10–11 CSB).

Scripture outright declares that what the shepherds are hearing is “good news” for “all the people.”

We’re given a portion of the good news from the angel, as he said, “a Savior was born for you, who is the Messiah, the Lord.” But the rest of the story of the “good news” is revealed when Jesus began His ministry as an adult.

And the good news Jesus was preaching focused on the future “kingdom of God”: “Afterward he was traveling from one town and village to another, preaching and telling the good news of the kingdom of God” (Luke 8:1 CSB).

“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!” (Mark 1:15 CSB).

That future kingdom had been foretold far long ago by the Old Testament prophet Isaiah who, in a single prophecy, mentioned both the beginning of Jesus’s human life with His birth and the end of the story with His being the head over His kingdom, the everlasting government of God:

“For a child will be born for us, a son will be given to us, and the government will be on his shoulders. “He will be named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.

“The dominion will be vast, and its prosperity will never end. He will reign on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish and sustain it with justice and righteousness from now on and forever” (Isaiah 9:6–7 CSB).

Now back to the shepherds, the people who keep and care for sheep. At God speed, a shepherd is one who cares for God’s flock, the people who believe and follow their Maker.

Jesus is referred to as the “chief Shepherd” in 1 Peter 5:4, He calls Himself the “good shepherd” in John 10:11, and He famously told Peter, “Feed my sheep” in John 21:17.

So what happened with the shepherds at the manger scene?

“They hurried off and found both Mary and Joseph, and the baby who was lying in the manger. After seeing them, they reported the message they were told about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them” (Luke 2:16–18 CSB).

At first glance, this may not seem that important, but with our spiritual eyes and ears open at God speed, the message is staggering. The shepherds represent those who take care of God’s flock of people. They followed divine instructions from a supernatural being (in this case, an angel) and saw the sign of a baby lying in a manger. And what did they do next?

“They reported the message they were told about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them” (Luke 2:17–18 CSB).

The shepherds, the caretakers of God’s people, reported the message about the Savior, the true food from heaven who brings eternal life, and all who heard the message were amazed. This event clearly shows us not only the incredible events of that night but also what has been happening since then and will happen again in the future kingdom of God!  (pp. 153-154)

The shepherds, both then and now, are informing people of the divine message about the true food (Jesus), and those who have their ears open to hear the message are “amazed” at what the shepherds say.

The people are amazed because they’re hearing how they can be saved and receive everlasting life. Yes, it’s very good news when you find out how you can avoid being dead forever! And there’s still more. Don’t forget that God declares the end from the beginning, constantly focusing our attention on the end of the story, letting us know the conclusion of events right from the very start.

So let’s look at the final mention of the shepherds in the account of the birth of Jesus.

“The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had seen and heard, which were just as they had been told” (Luke 2:20 CSB).

The Bible text tells us “the shepherds returned.” This may rock your world, because not only is this explaining the events of that night in Bethlehem, but also it is a prophecy for the future when understood at God speed. What I mean is that the shepherds (all leaders of God’s people in this current time) are going to return in the future, to glorify and praise God for all the things they had seen and heard. This return will take place when they are resurrected from the dead and raised to immortal life to instruct people again on how to receive eternal life!

This has been forecast in Scripture, with prophecies from Jeremiah, as God Himself predicted the future time still ahead of us when He would “raise up” shepherds over His people to lead them in the divine way of life.

“I will give you shepherds who are loyal to me, and they will shepherd you with knowledge and skill” (Jeremiah 3:15 CSB).

“I will gather the remnant of my flock from all the lands where I have banished them, and I will return them to their grazing land. They will become fruitful and numerous. I will raise up shepherds over them who will tend them. They will no longer be afraid or discouraged, nor will any be missing. This is the LORD’s declaration” (Jeremiah 23:3–4 CSB).

Just as Jesus is going to return in the future, so the shepherds will return as well, being literally “raised up” by God out of the ground and given eternal life to “shepherd the people with knowledge and skill.” This is a prophecy about what will be taking place in the kingdom of God, the kingdom which gets into full swing once Jesus returns to Earth.

It gives new meaning to Peter’s instructions to the elders among the New Testament believers, as he gives them the task of shepherds over God’s flock. Read it for yourself:

“Shepherd God’s flock among you, not overseeing out of compulsion but willingly, as God would have you; not out of greed for money but eagerly; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory” (1 Peter 5:2–4 CSB).

It’s perfectly fitting that Peter mentions the unfading crown of glory for these leaders of God’s people, because it was actually embedded in the manger story when the shepherds were listening to the angel of God. As we read previously of the shepherds, “the glory of the Lord shone round about them” (Luke 2:9).

They had a shining, brilliant light surrounding them. This, too, when understood at God speed, is a prediction of how believers will actually have a bright radiance, a crown of light emanating from them in the coming kingdom when they become immortal and divine:

“Then the righteous will shine like the sun in their Father’s kingdom. Let anyone who has ears listen” (Matthew 13:43 CSB).

God is going to “raise up” His shepherds from the grave to rule and reign with Him.

“Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him….” (Revelation 20:6 CSB).

“And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations—He shall rule them with a rod of iron” (Revelation 2:26–27 NKJV).

This is the glorious end to the message of Scripture. The result of everything that has taken place will be the followers of the chief Shepherd being raised up to eternal life, newly born children of God so they can rule and reign with God, instructing other people in a second resurrection that takes place a thousand years after Jesus’s return to Earth.

It is great that Joe Kovacs understands that God’s plan of salvation is not limited to this age.

The alliance has now walked the talk and slowly changed the global financial dynamics one step at a time. Though the pace of de-dollarization is slow, BRICS are marching on the path of ditching the US dollar and putting their local currencies forward. …

Those in Iran and some of the Arab lands, along with nations such as Brazil, China, and India have discussed plans for the removal of the dominance of the U.S.A. in global trade as well. The former (again current) President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, even claimed that eliminating the U.S. dollar’s reserve currency status was one of the reasons that the BRICS alliance (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) was formed in the first place. [i] Others have  noted that bypassing the USA dollar is still an object of BRICS—and officially BRICS nations “are currently working on setting up a new global reserve currency,”[ii] which may have gold-backing.[iii] The expansion of BRICS (which is in progress) may ultimately even hurt Australian trade as well as “severely weaken primacy of the US Dollar as an international currency.”[iv]

The Bible clearly warns against cheapening the money supply and encourages having money hold its value (Proverbs 25:4 Isaiah 1:25, Ezekiel 22:18-22). Debt is also warned against (Habakkuk 2:6-8). Yet policies enacted under the Obama, Trump, and Biden Administrations, following certain other administrations, have ignored these warnings. …

A modern reality is that being the world’s de facto reserve currency has helped prolong the U.S.A.’s dominance.

When the U.S. dollar is no longer the world’s reserve currency, this will hurt the U.S.A. financially. Increasing debt, including “quantitative easing,” is a form of dishonest profits that is not something that God approves of and will correctively punish the U.S.A. for (cf. Ezekiel 22:13-16).

Inflation will eventually hit the U.S.A. extremely hard. As the world becomes less attached to the American dollar, many financial jobs and opportunities will be in places other than the U.S.A. Eventually, but not yet, the U.S.A. dollar will become worthless (worth no more than the scrap or sentimental value of the cotton-paper it is printed on).

One day the US dollar will be toppled.

Laws have to be backed up with resources and political will. And deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed.

As I have said and as I believe, the advancement of the full participation of women and girls in every aspect of their societies is the great unfinished business of the 21st century and not just for women but for everyone — and not just in far away countries but right here in the United States.

Hillary Clinton wants religious views changed so that people will embrace abortion, homosexuality, and other immoral positions that Christians should condemn. She does not seem to be in full agreement of the first amendment to the Constitution of the United States on religious liberties–yet her name has been in the news again recently as a possible choice for the Democratic party’s presidential nominee.

Anyway, her statements related to changing religion were wrong and blasphemous.

In this interview with The New American, Mr. Allen dives deep into the essence of transhumanism as a technocratic worldview that fills the vacuum that is left in the absence of traditional religions. That worldview, as illustrated, among others, by one of the most influential transhumanists, Ray Kurtzweil, regards technology as the highest power in the universe. In it, people’s salvation comes from technological manipulations in the realms of nanotechnology, robotics, and genomics that would peak in the emergence of the all-powerful “God” of artificial intelligence (AI). That essentially apocalyptic point that Kurzweil called the Singularity would wipe away the old world. In practical terms, transhumanism principally orients the soul towards technology and establishes a strict regime run by algorithms where people’s lives become automated, digitalized and stripped of free will. Notably, societies and individuals are already immersed in this regime to various degrees.

Transhumanism, said the editor, “is profound worldly power in direct opposition to God, to the source from which we come, and to our ultimate destination. Well, globalists are basically against the God of the Bible and many of the so-called elite of this world want to make a god in their own image.

The Bible warns that before the Day of the Lord (Isaiah 2:11), the following will happen:

From a Protestant sermon via AI, to PETA blaspheming God by re-writing a false account of the Book of Genesis, to Yuval Noah Harari of the World Economic Form (WEF) calling for a new globalist religion and Bible to be produced by AI, things like ChatGPT are being used. There is also an AI thing called “ask Jesus” which has a false Messiah who does not always provide biblically-accurate statements. Many humans want to worship “the work of their hands.” Is that warned against in scripture? Where is this leading? Might the “image of the beast” be demonic and/or involve AI and the Antichrist? Schwab also waxes lyrical about the transhumanist utopian dream shared by all elitists which will ultimately lead to the creation of human cyborgs.

“Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies will not stop at becoming part of the physical world around us—they will become part of us,” writes Schwab.

“Indeed, some of us already feel that our smartphones have become an extension of ourselves.

SpaceX and Neuralink founder Elon Musk suggested that in order for humans to stay relevant in the age of AI, we must merge with machines. The WEF, along with the Vatican and many of the Freemasons, wants to have Europe arise, dominate the world economically, and put in place its secularist technological agenda.

They believe that will result in peace.

However, the Bible teaches:

Those pushing artificial religion do not have a proper fear of God and do not know the way of peace.

The Bible further warns in Romans 1, “against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness” (verse 18) and those “Professing to be wise” who “became fools” (verse 22).

Actually, if the USA was hit with a devastating EMP bomb, it likely would not actually recover.

But for conservatives, who have been looking at China with a wary eye since the outbreak began, this latest ‘escalation’ is hardly a surprise. And when it comes to rebutting China’s aggression to an audience of mostly Trump supporters, nobody in the West Wing is as practiced as Pete Navarro. Under current rules, companies subject to the influence of foreign adversaries are still allowed to compete for government contracts to supply these components, Navarro argued in a Fox op-ed published shortly before his appearance.

Right now, Navarro said his primary responsibility in the administration is overseeing the reorientation of American supply chains away from China (though this will ultimately be decided by individual corporations, the White House can certainly take steps to sway their decisions, not that the crisis hasn’t been instructive enough on its own). He argued that this latest EO, along with another EO that will require federal agencies to use all-American components for medicines, are the first steps of the “decoupling” of the US economy away from China’s – something that, polls show, Americans mostly support.

Currently, Iran is debating taking steps against the USA for its support of Israel against Hamas.

Yes, the Iranians may well attempt to use one or more EMP bombs against the USA (as well as Israel).

Totally Insane Things That Will Happen If Our Power Grid Goes Down

If our society suffered a widespread power failure that lasted for weeks or months, it would be no different for us than if we were suddenly sent back to the 1800’s. It would be a strange and dangerous world, and for the average person, it would catch them off guard in the following ways:

1. All commerce will cease. The ATMs won’t work, the banks won’t open, and the cash registers won’t…well, register. For a while cash will be king, but if the crisis goes on for more than a few weeks, then people will view it as worthless. We’d be back to a barter economy in short order.

2. Communications will shut down. If you think you can rely on your cell phone to work in a disaster, think again. In a crisis, when everyone instinctively reaches for their phone, that limit is quickly surpassed and the radios on the tower get sluggish, thus causing the fast-busy signal. …

5. When the grocery stores are stripped bare, the pharmacies won’t be far behind. …

6. And finally, one of the most shocking things that people will have to deal with, is the lack of GPS. The GPS satellites will probably keep running, but eventually the devices that read those signals will give up the ghost. These days people are pretty reliant on GPS for directions, and there aren’t as many paper maps lying around. The average person is going to be utterly lost if the grid goes down.

The USA is vulnerable to electromagnetic issues, either from natural causes or man-made ones.

A power grid failure, including one caused by an EMP (ElectroMagnetic Pulse) weapon, could be a factor in the troubles that hit prior to the start of the Great Tribulation.

The USA faces a massive threat from many things that could knock-out its electrical power grid. The USA itself has been developing its own cyber-warfare and EMP technologies, which, of course, also encourages other nations to do so. Plus, the USA is likely to share that technology with Europe.

Jesus taught of a time of “troubles” that would come in Mark 13:

7 But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled; for such things must happen, but the end is not yet. 8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows. (Mark 13:7-8)

While most in the USA act like it will go on indefinitely and cannot truly be brought down, the reality is that electrical, weather, pestilence, and other events can devastate the USA.

Consider that in the end times, the Bible tells of a King of the North (Daniel 11:29-45), King of the South (Daniel 11:40-43), and the Kings of the East (Revelation 16:12-16), but no King of the West?

Instead it tells of a time when the power with the strongest fortresses gets taken over by the King of the North (the “he” in the following scriptures):

39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain. (Daniel 11:39)

25 “Through his cunning
He shall cause deceit to prosper under his rule;
And he shall exalt himself in his heart.
He shall destroy many in their prosperity. (Daniel 8:25)

This will cause the world to marvel (Revelation 13:3-4).

It is likely that the USA will have to be in a weakened state to be taken over. And while deceit will be a factor (Daniel 8:25; Lamentations 1:1-2), the fact is that the USA will be hit with troubles and sorrows, beforehand (Matthew 24:4-8) that will weaken it.

The Bible warns that God will “hurl disasters” against some descended from Israel (Deuteronomy 32:23, NJB) who “provoke” God (Deuteronomy 32:21-22, NKJV). That said, according to various reports, an EMP attack could happen tomorrow–though I do NOT expect one from Europe for at least 3 1/2 years. But Iran or others could do something soon.

Are you ready spiritually to deal with what can happen in the USA? Even if you do not live in the USA, consider how its devastation could affect you and the country you are currently living in.

It should be a brilliant comeback. A purified Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg should rise from the ashes like Phoenix. With a new image, new appearance and completely new sound. Less hubris, more personal failure.

In order to reinvent his self and the corresponding storytelling, the ex-minister, who had the image of a dazzler after his plagiarism scandal in 2011, founded a company in the spring of last year, “Open Minds Media GmbH”. Business Insider has the shareholders’ agreement. The company is intended to build Guttenberg into a media brand. According to the business idea, the man should from now on act as a TV presenter, speaker, book author and podcaster and become his own “brand”. 

So, yes, my assertion last year that Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg could be laying a media foundation that he may later build upon looks to have been confirmed.

I saw another article about KT that was of interest. According to the announcement, it can be seen on n-tv on December 26th at 3:10 p.m. Among other things, Guttenberg meets a victim of abuse “who tells his shocking experiences” and learns “amazing things” about the “Vatican system” from an insider, as the broadcaster promises in advance. …

Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg was once considered a beacon of hope for the CSU. He was Federal Minister of Economics (2009), then Minister of Defense (2009-2011) and at that time one of the most popular politicians in the country. The big scandal came in 2011: The University of Bayreuth revoked Guttenberg’s doctorate in February 2011 in the wake of a plagiarism scandal involving his dissertation. A few days later, Zu Guttenberg resigned from all political offices. The former politician moved to the USA with his family.

Yes, Herr Guttenberg was disgraced by a plagiarism scandal and resigned his position as Germany’s Defense Minister back in 2011.

He has sometimes been made fun of in the German press since then.

However, not everyone has written him off. And, he is considered to be a respected commentator by several in the international press.

Interestingly, the Bible tells about a leader who was once disgraced that prophesied to rise up:

21 And there shall stand up in his place one despised, and the kingly honour shall not be given him: and he shall come privately, and shall obtain the kingdom by fraud. (Daniel 11:21, Douay-Rheims)

By being considered as a respected commentator, and now having the opportunity to reach a lot of people on a regular basis, Herr Guttenberg looks like he is placing himself in a position to at least partially restore his reputation.

And, he may rise up more than almost anyone thinks he could.

I long wondered if he may be the prophesied King of the North of Daniel 11. And I have made at least a dozen speculative predictions related to him that have been at least partially fulfilled:

1. He has advocated more European military cooperation.
2. He became unpopular for a time (and still is among many).
3. He ended up, for a time, outside of political office.
4. He went out of the limelight for a while.
5. He went into exile (self-imposed).
6. His exile was to a humid location.
7. People laughed at him.
8. He has partially re-emerged in European politics.
9. He has called for Germany to consider being a leader in data protection.
10. He now has a beard.
11. His involvement with Ripple, blockchain, and AI could be setting him up to fulfill Revelation 13:15-18.
12. He is reportedly making himself a type of media brand.

Now just because he at least partially fulfilled those does not prove that he must be the final King of the North. But they certainly give me reason, combined with biblical and other prophetic sources, to consider that he could fulfill that role or at least aid the one who will have it.

Another thing I have speculated about him was that Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg would be involved with religion. His documentary may be a step in that direction. Herr Guttenberg may very well be in, found, or otherwise support a new order or some type of group that will, for a time, be associated with the Roman Catholic Church. He remains one to “Watch” (cf. Mark 13:37).

With United States President Joe Biden and his predecessor currently tied in the polls, Europe is waking up to the possibility that Donald Trump may well win back the White House. And preparing for another potential Trump presidency is now preoccupying European minds.

As it stands, Europe’s biggest fear is that the Republican firebrand could cut U.S. support for Ukraine. …

Trump doesn’t care for Europe’s security order either. He could, however, be tempted into it — if it seems profitable.

As president, Trump was initially skeptical of delivering arms to Ukraine until his staffers persuaded him that weapons exports would be lucrative for U.S. industry and that Kyiv would pay. …

Thus, Europe should take advantage of this focus on money to ensure aid for Ukraine, and announce a multiyear purchase of U.S.-made arms for Kyiv. This would help Ukraine, it would help Europe, and it would also help the transactional Trump see that he, too, has something at stake.

It would cost Europe roughly €45 billion a year to cover the bill for America’s Ukraine support. …

Regardless of the 2024 presidential election’s outcome, Europe would be well advised not to put all its eggs in the U.S. basket and look to strengthen its own defense capabilities and industry. But Ukraine’s needs are short-term. A big multiyear package to buy U.S.-made arms for Ukraine would thus be a major investment in European security.

While Donald Trump does value money and other financial considerations, he has multiple priorities and does not like humiliation. So, Ukraine should not count on 1) the EU trying to bride Donald Trump and 2) Donald Trump accepting that type of bribe (especially since Politico has not published the scenario as a humiliating bribe). And even if he did accept such, Donald Trump 1) has not been nominated officially yet, 2) has not won the 2024 election, and 3) even if he does, he would not take office until 2025 and that might be too late for Ukraine even if he were to accept such an offer.

Warsaw’s buildup is also a hedge against Trump’s return to the White House and the chance that he will set NATO adrift.

That prospect has set alarm bells ringing across Europe.

Yes, Europe is trying to rearm and part of the reason has to do with the prospect of another Donald Trump presidency.

The making of a European Defence Union

The decision to establish the Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO) and plans presented by 25 European Union member states to work together on a first set of 17 collaborative defence projects has been welcomed by the European Commission.

“In June I said it was time to wake up the Sleeping Beauty of the Lisbon Treaty: permanent structured cooperation,” said European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker. “Six months later, it is happening.”

Juncker said Europe cannot and should not outsource our security and defence.

“The European Defence Fund that the European Commission proposed will complement these efforts and act as a further incentive for defence cooperation – including potential funding for some of the projects presented today,” he added.

According to a European Commission press release, PESCO is an instrument in the EU Treaty to enable willing member states to pursue greater cooperation in defence and security.

On November 13, there were 23 member states (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain and Sweden) that took a first step towards launching the Permanent Structured Cooperation on defence. I have warned for some time that the rise and/or election of Donald Trump would trigger the desire for a European army and additional European unity, as would the Brexit vote.

Europe’s PESCO is now in place.

I made a number of warnings about Donald Trump years ago, which he has at least partially fulfilled.

Let’s consider four here.

WARNING ONE: Donald Trump will offend the Europeans.

The Bible shows that the USA will be betrayed by friends (cf. Lamentations 1:1-2) and the USA will one day be taken over by a European led power (Daniel 11:39; see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses).

Here are some warnings I made that Donald Trump would offend the Europeans:

Should he actually become President of the United States, his flamboyance and brashness are bound to offend the Europeans, and ultimately that will not turn out well for the USA (cf. Daniel 11:39). (Thiel B. Can Donald Trump make America great again? COGwriter, December 20, 2015)

Has he?

Certainly. There are many examples, but here are three: Shadow president or mere shadow? Will Europe’s Revolt Against Donald Trump Lead to WWIII?

The reaction of many leaders in Europe to US President Donald Trump’s trade statements and his withdrawal from the Iranian nuclear arms deal has led some to state this is a “revolt” from Europe. Some say ‘America First.’ should lead to ‘Europe First.’ It has been reported that Europe needs to be “clever” as it develops its military and economy to be less dependent upon the USA. EU Council President Donald Tusk tweeted that with friends like the USA, who needs enemies. EU Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said , “We have to replace the United States.” Will some of the unintended consequences of Donald Trump’s actions lead to World War Three and the end of the USA? Does the Bible teach this? Does the Bible teach that friendly allies will become enemies? Will an ally that defeats the USA say it happened because of being clever? Are things the same or are we seeing real changes that align with properly understood biblical prophecies? Dr. Thiel addresses these issues and more.

How did I know Donald Trump could trigger this?

The Bible shows that Europe will rise up again (Revelation 13:1-10), have a great army (Daniel 11:25), and will one day defeat the USA (Daniel 11:39). Because of where we are in God’s 6000/7000 year plan (see Does God Have a 6,000 Year Plan? What Year Does the 6,000 Years End?), the timing of Donald Trump and Europe’s disdain for him fit.

WARNING THREE: This warning was that Donald Trump’s rise would encourage the Europeans to arm:

Europe should build its own army and not rely on security guarantees from Washington, the European Commission president said following the election of Donald Trump. At the same time, Jean-Claude Juncker called for the preservation of the transatlantic partnership. …

“We need more security in Europe, and I do not mean just the anti-terror fight,” Juncker said.

“Talking about security we need a different way of organizing a European defense … the French National Assembly in 1954 prevented the European community of defense.”

“We need it now. The idea that the Americans will eternally see to … European security is not true. Independent of the outcome of the US election, the Americans will not see to Europe’s security forever. We have to do it ourselves. And this is why we need a new approach to the European community of defense, including a European army,” Juncker said. …

Furthermore, in December 2017, Europe’s new military cooperation organization, called PESCO (Permanent Structured Cooperation), formed (see PESCO: The making of a European Defence Union) and announced plans related to military cooperation and technology (see PESCO moving forward with technology).

WARNING FOUR: This was a warning related to the fourth: Germany will want a stronger military.

The above was partially based upon Isaiah 10:5-12 which tells of a Germanic-influenced power taking over places, which in the end time include the USA (see also Germany in Biblical Prophecy).

Yes.

By November 11, 2016, German leaders did so, with at least one doing so publicly (see Thiel B. As foretold here, more calls for a European army! Guttenberg: ‘There will be a terrible awakening for Europe’. COGwriter, November 11, 2016). In addition, a survey in late December 2016 found that the majority of Germans want to build a formidable European army. (Thiel B. Majority of Germans want a European army. COGwriter, December 30, 2016). In 2017, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said Europe should now longer be naive and rely on others for defense (Thiel B. Donald Trump says he’s a ‘stable genius’ as Europe is driven to arm. COGwriter, January 6, 2018).

Could preparations for WWIII began? German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron called for a European army to be independent of the USA and NATO. Anyway, the prospect of another Donald Trump presidency is alarming the Europeans.

Europe is in the process of developing “a great army” (Daniel 11:25), will have “many ships” (Daniel 11:40), and will successfully conquer the power with the “strongest fortresses” (Daniel 11:39).

Since the USA is the power in the 21st century with the “strongest fortresses” this should concern all who place their trust in the military of the USA.

‘Irish People Are Being Attacked’ – Anti-Immigrant Riots Erupt After Dublin Stabbing Spree

A stabbing spree sparked riots in downtown Dublin on Thursday, as anti-immigration ruffians set vehicles ablaze, looted stores and fought police officers. 

The trouble began around 1:40 pm local time in Parnell Square East in downtown Dublin, next to the Gaelscoil Choláiste Mhuire children’s school. The Irish police — or “garda” — say three young children and a woman in her 30s were wounded by a knife-wielding man in his 40s. Two were seriously wounded: a five-year-old girl and the adult woman.  …

According to some reports, the wounded woman, a school worker, heroically rushed to defend the five-year-old girl, who was said to have been stabbed in the neck. According to a source anonymously quoted by The Irish Independent:

This all happened in a matter of seconds and after her very brave actions another two children suffered superficial stabbing injuries to their chest and shoulder in what was a frenzied incident. She defended those children with all her strength – all that she was doing was trying to protect those little kids and people in what was is a very built up area in the city centre saw what was happening when they passed the school.”

The attack ended when the villain stumbled to the ground and “a load of people jumped on him,” said the witness. He was taken to a hospital to be treated for facial injuries. His wounds were minimized by onlookers who formed a barrier around him to prevent a prolonged beating.  …

“Irish people are being attacked by these scum,” a protester told AFP, reflecting the attitude of the mob. Chanting anti-immigration slogans, rioters set several vehicles on fire, including a police car, a double-decker bus and a light-rail train. They also attacked cops with fireworks and looted stores.  …

The head of Irish police, Drew Harris, attributed the violence to a “lunatic, hooligan faction driven by a far-right ideology” and implied they were inflamed by online misinformation. Irish President Micheal Higgins echoed that sentiment. “That [the stabbings] would be used or abused by groups with an agenda that attacks the principle of social inclusion is reprehensible,” he said. “[A] thuggish and manipulative element must not be allowed to use an appalling tragedy to wreak havoc,” said Irish justice Minster Helen McEntee. …

Irish police have arrested 34 people after rioting by a “hooligan faction” caused chaos in Dublin last night.

Violence flared after three children and a school care assistant were injured in a knife attack in the city centre several hours earlier.

Taoiseach (Irish Prime Minister) Leo Varadkar said about 500 people were involved in the riot.

He said they “brought shame” on Ireland and he promised new laws within weeks to bring those involved to justice. …

It is understood that included false claims that the attacker was a foreign national.

Sources have indicated to the BBC that the man suspected of carrying out the attack is an Irish citizen in his late 40s who has lived in the country for 20 years. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-67516612

Presuming the one who did this is a man, “in his late 40s who has lived in the country for 20 years,” that would indicate that he was not an native Irish man, but some type of an immigrant.

That said, regarding increasing lawless hooliganism, notice a prophecy from Jesus:

12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. (Matthew 24:12)

The Bible also warns:

2 You shall not follow a crowd to do evil; (Exodus 23:2)

But many do.

The Book of Proverbs warns:

10 My son, if sinners entice you, Do not consent. 11 If they say, “Come with us, Let us lie in wait to shed blood; Let us lurk secretly for the innocent without cause; 12 Let us swallow them alive like Sheol, And whole, like those who go down to the Pit; 13 We shall find all kinds of precious possessions, We shall fill our houses with spoil; 14 Cast in your lot among us, Let us all have one purse” — 15 My son, do not walk in the way with them, Keep your foot from their path; 16 For their feet run to evil, And they make haste to shed blood. 17 Surely, in vain the net is spread In the sight of any bird; 18 But they lie in wait for their own blood, They lurk secretly for their own lives. 19 So are the ways of everyone who is greedy for gain; It takes away the life of its owners. (Proverbs 1:10-19)

Yes, there has been mob theft and violence throughout history. But we are seeing it worsen as we live in perilous times. That was prophesied by the Apostle Paul:

1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! (2 Timothy 3:1-5)

Consider also the following that is certainly applicable to parts of many cities in the USA and elsewhere in the world:

23 ‘Make a chain,
For the land is filled with crimes of blood,
And the city is full of violence. (Ezekiel 7:23)

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality…30…violent, proud, boasters,…31…unmerciful; (Romans 1:28-31)

8 … And the violence of the land and the city, And of all who dwell in it. (Habakkuk 2:8)

The above applies to the stabber as well as to those who were engaged in looting and other thefts in Ireland.

That said, noticed the following which looks to be a sarcastic, anti-migrant tweet related to Dublin, Ireland:

For lasting peace, #Ireland should declare an immediate ceasefire in #Dublin and divide the city:
